Industrial images are often captured under full-time and full-weather conditions, leading to inevitable noise during the imaging process, which can impact subsequent detection algorithms. In recent years, image denoising with neural networks has been the rapid development. However, training such networks typically requires a large dataset, which is scarce in publicly available industrial image databases. In this paper, we propose a novel approach termed Zero-Shot Industrial Image Lightweight Denoising (ZSILD) network, which effectively denoises single noisy industrial image without the need for datasets. First, we sample the paired neighbour pixels of a random noisy industrial image, which are then utilized to train a lightweight denoising network. Second, we design a lightweight depthwise convolutions network based on bottleneck residual structure with shortcut connections. Finally, this network is trained on the sampled pairs using a novel loss function aimed at enhancing denoising performance. Our experiments conduct on real-world industrial ambient noise demonstrate that our ZSILD method outperforms existing denoising techniques, all while requiring comparatively minimal computational resources. © 2024 SPIE. The Low-Frequency Oscillation (LFO), Ultra-Low Frequency Oscillation (ULFO) and other oscillation can endanger the safety and stability operation of the power grid. However current relevant standards only have clear provisions on the critical damping ratio of LFO. Based on the risk of ULFO in high proportion hydropower systems, the principle and key influencing factors of ULFO are derived theoretically. According to the characteristics and hazards of ULFO, a method for determining the critical damping ratio of ULFO is explored, and the effectiveness of the method is tested through the actual response trajectory.

With the increasing frequency of data circulation and sharing in power monitoring systems, traditional network-centric protection strategies are insufficient to resist the growing risk of data leakage. This article analyzes the security risks in existing typical data circulation and sharing scenarios based on the demand for data security sharing in power monitoring systems. A data security protection technology framework covering the source layer, interaction layer, and terminal layer has been proposed from the perspectives of basic protection capabilities and key protection technologies, as well as an evaluation method for the protection technology capabilities of data circulation and sharing. This provides a reference idea for effectively enhancing the data circulation and sharing protection capabilities of power monitoring systems. © 2023 IEEE.

Wind-Storage Coordinated control Strategy for Inertia Enhancement of High Ratio Renewable Energy Power Systems

The replacement of thermal power units with renewable energy power generation equipment like wind and photovoltaics has decreased the inertia level of power systems and weakened the frequency stability of the power grid. In order to improve the inertia level of the new power systems and strengthen the inertia support capability of the renewable energy power system to the grid, a wind-storage coordinated control strategy for the inertia enhancement of high-proportion renewable energy power system is proposed in this paper. A time domain model of the inertia response of the wind-storage coordinated control system is also established. An inertia level enhancement strategy of virtual inertia and virtual sag coordinated control of wind-storage joint system is proposed. It improves the system inertia using the analysis results of system inertia requirements as data support and considering the characteristics of battery storage with fast charging and discharging response, and flexible capacity configuration. In addition, the effectiveness of energy storage system (ESS) participation in system inertia enhancement is guaranteed by proposing energy storage based on the ESS state of charge (SOC), which participates in the inertia of the new energy power system to enhance the control coefficient adaptive strategy. Finally, a comparative analysis is carried out using RTLAB simulation test to verify the effectiveness of the method proposed in this paper. © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Thermodynamic modeling is still themostwidely usedmethod to characterize aerosol acidity,a critical physicochemical property of atmospheric ***,it remains unclear whether gas-aerosol partitioning should be incorporated when thermodynamicmodels are employed to estimate the acidity of coarse *** this work,field measurements were conducted at a coastal city in northern China across three seasons,and covered wide ranges of temperature,relative humidity and NH_(3) *** examined the performance of different modes of ISORROPIA-II(a widely used aerosol thermodynamic model)in estimating aerosol acidity of coarse and fine *** M0 mode,which incorporates gas-phase data and runs the model in the forward mode,provided reasonable estimation of aerosol acidity for coarse and fine *** to M0,the M1 mode,which runs the model in the forward mode but does not include gas-phase data,may capture the general trend of aerosol acidity but underestimates pH for both coarse and fine particles;M2,which runs the model in the reverse mode,results in large errors in estimated aerosol pH for both coarse and fine particles and should not be used for aerosol acidity ***,M1 significantly underestimates liquid water contents for both fine and coarse particles,while M2 provides reliable estimation of liquid water *** summary,our work highlights the importance of incorporating gas-aerosol partitioning when estimating coarse particle acidity,and thus may help improve our understanding of acidity of coarse particles.

Addressing the challenges posed by climate change and meeting urban energy demands is of utmost importance in today's world. Building Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV) emerges as a crucial solution for energy conservation and carbon emissions reduction in urban environments. However, traditional methods of assessing solar radiation on buildings using physical models are often computationally intensive and time-consuming. This paper introduces a novel hybrid approach that integrates physical model-based solar radiation calculation with machine learning techniques to analyze Solar Radiation Potential (SRP) across city-wide building infrastructure. The proposed approach precisely evaluates the SRP of representative blocks by leveraging computing-intensive physical models integrated with 3D building data. Subsequently, two machine learning models are developed to effectively predict the SRP of building roofs and facades across the entire city. To validate the efficacy of this approach, an experiment was conducted in Shenzhen, China, yielding insightful results. The findings reveal that Shenzhen has a huge potential for BIPV solar power generation, with mean annual total building roof and facade solar radiation values of 9.22 * 107kwℎ and 2.47 * 108kwℎ, respectively. It can be further observed that relying solely on rooftop installations is insufficient to meet electricity demand. This study not only provides an innovative alternative for city-wide SRP estimation by combining physical modeling and machine learning but also offers valuable insights for fostering low-carbon urban environments and informing data-driven and model-driven urban planning and management strategies. © Author(s) 2024.

Size distribution and chemical characteristics of particles from crop residue open burning in North China

Crop residue open burning is an important emission source of ambient particles in *** study analyzed the particle emission characteristics of crop residue open burning through combustion experiments with a novel open combustion simulation device using three typical crop straws in north China(corn,wheat,and rice).Particle samples size ranging from 0.006–9.890μm were collected by an Electrical Low Pressure Impactor plus,a high size-resolution instrument capable of dividing particles into 14 size *** size distributions of organic carbon(OC),elemental carbon(EC),water-soluble ions,and elements were analyzed,and source chemical profiles were constructed for PM0.1,PM1,PM2.5,and *** number concentration of particles was concentrated in the Aiken nuclei mode(0.006–0.054μm),accounting for 75%of the total number,whereas the mass concentration was concentrated in the accumulation mode(0.054–0.949μm),accounting for 85.43%of the mass ***,EC,Cl−,and K(include total K and water-soluble K)were the major chemical components of the particles,whose mass percentage distributions differed from those of other *** fivemain components exhibited a bell-shaped size distribution in the 0.006–9.890μm range,whereas the other components exhibited a U-shaped *** the chemical profiles for PM0.1–PM10,OC was the most important component at 10–30%,followed by EC at 2%–8%.The proportions of K^(+),Cl^(−),and K varied substantially in different experimental groups,ranging from 0–15%,and K+and Cl−were significantly correlated(r=0.878,α=0.000).

The battery energy storage technology can be flexibly configured and has excellent comprehensive characteristics. In addition to considering the reliability of the battery energy storage power station when it is connected to the grid, the reliability of the energy storage power station itself should also be considered. The reliability model based on Copula theory was established for battery module, and the reliability of energy storage module was analyzed according to the basic structure of energy storage modules. In this paper, the example analysis is based on the existing simulation model of energy storage module. Then the reliability of energy storage module in the next 20 years is predicted considering the different correlations between battery clusters. © 2022 IEEE.

At present, the generation units in the frequency modulation market in China has entered the market-oriented operation, while the market-oriented operation of the load side resources has not been started. This paper presents a mechanism design and system application of load side frequency modulation resources participating in frequency modulation auxiliary service market. Firstly, it analyzes the key mechanisms such as declaration, transaction clearing and settlement in the frequency modulation market. Secondly, the operation mechanism of load side regulation resources after participating in frequency modulation market and the operation interaction process with power market are designed. Then, build the clearing model of load side resources participating in frequency modulation auxiliary service market, and jointly clear the power market and frequency modulation market. Taking the provincial power system of frequency modulation auxiliary service market as an example, the relationship between frequency modulation auxiliary service market system and other systems is discussed. Through the market mechanism, the comprehensive optimization operation of the power grid is carried out, and the reserve capacity of the frequency modulation is effectively configured so as to achieve the goal of the lowest operating cost. © 2022 IEEE.
