Real-world emissions from China IV and some China V heavy-duty diesel vehicles (HDDVs) equipped with selective catalytic reduction (SCR) probably fail to mitigate nitrogen oxide (NOX) emissions as expected. Meanwhile, these SCR-equipped HDDVs might emit excessive ammonia (NH3). To better understand the NOX and NH3 emissions from typical HDDVs in China, seventeen in-use HDDVs with various emission-control technologies were tested by using laboratory chassis dynamometers. The results indicated that individual NOX and NH3 emissions from HDDV fleets widely varied owing to differences in aftertreatment performance. China V and VI HDDVs with effectively functioning SCRs could substantially control their NOX emissions to be below the corresponding emission limits but with a potential risk of high NH3 emissions caused by diesel exhaust fluid overdosing. Furthermore, higher vehicle speed and load mass resulted in lower NOX emissions and possibly higher NH3 emissions from HDDVs with effectively functioning SCR systems, while higher NOX emissions from tampered- and non-SCR HDDVs. NOX emissions from China VI HDDVs were more sensitive to cold starts compared to China V and earlier vehicles, but there was no significant discrepancy in NH3 emissions between cold- and hot-start tests © 2023, The Authors. Environmental exposure to crystalline silica particles can lead to silicosis, which is one of the most serious pulmonary interstitial fibrosis around the world. Unfortunately, the exact mechanism on silicosis is unclear, and the effective treatments are lacking to date. In this study, we aim to explore the molecular mechanism by which interleukin-11(IL-11) affects silica particles-induced lung inflammation and fibrosis. We observed that IL-11 expressions in mouse lungs were significantly increased after silica exposure, and maintained at high levels across both inflammation and fibrosis phase. Immunofluorescent dual staining further revealed that the overexpression of IL-11 mainly located in mouse lung epithelial cells and fibroblasts. Using neutralizing anti-IL-11 antibody could effectively alleviate the overexpression of pro-inflammatory cytokines(i.e., interleukin-6 and tumor necrosis factor-α) and fibrotic proteins(i.e., collagen type I and matrix metalloproteinase-2) induced by silica particles. Most importantly, the expressions of IL-11 receptor subunit α(IL-11Rα), Glycoprotein130(GP130), and phosphorylated extracellular signal-regulated kinase(p-ERK) were significantly increased in response to silica, whereas blocking of IL-11 markedly reduced their levels. All findings suggested that the overexpression of IL-11 was involved in the pathological of silicosis, while neutralizing IL-11 antibody could effectively alleviate the silica-induced lung inflammation and fibrosis by inhibiting the IL-11Rα/GP130/ERK signaling pathway. IL-11 might be a promising therapeutic target for lung inflammation and fibrosis caused by silica particles exposure.

The transient stability mechanism of grid-following inverter (GFL-inverter) and grid-forming inverter (GFM-inverter) in the power system has been extensively studied respectively, whereas the integration of GFM-inverters and GFL-inverters into the grid unavoidably change the transient stability of the power system. This paper aims to analyze the transient stability for the mixed-GFM-GFL power system (MGGPS). The equilibrium point of the MGGPS system is analyzed. The large-signal model of the system is established. Based on this model, an analysis of the transient stability is carried out. It is revealed that the change of GFM-inverter terminal voltage will move the position of GFL-inverter equilibrium points, and the increase of GFL-inverter terminal current will enhance the transient stability of GFM-inverter. With the simulation of phase portraits, the aforementioned transient stability mechanism is proved. © 2021 IEEE.

As the increasing penetration of inverter-based distributed generations (DG) reduces the inertia of the power system, the stability of the system under small disturbances is threatened. Grid-forming (GFM) inverter, which can simulate inertia, damping and droop characteristics, is one of the most effective solutions. Virtual inertia and damping coefficient have important effects on the performance in primary frequency modulation. This paper presents an explicit and universal small-signal model for multi-GFM system based on the Newton-Raffson power flow algorithm in polar coordinates to realize the optimal design of virtual inertia and damping coefficient. The validity of the proposed model is demonstrated by comparing with the simulation model, and the effect of virtual inertia and damping coefficient on frequency response is analyzed in the end. © 2021 IEEE.

Microplastics are a new type of environmental pollutant,and pose a serious threat to soil *** is important to study microplastics effects on soil microorganisms to better understand their effects on terrestrial ***,we collected soil and microplastic samples from corn,pepper,peanut and cucumber fields in Shunyi District,Beijing,China,and used Illumina MiSeq high-throughput sequencing technology to analyze bacterial and fungal community composition and *** focused on microplastic surface and its surrounding“rhizosphere-like”soil in the 0e10 cm(humus)and 10e20 cm(eluvial)deep *** richness and diversity on microplastic surface were significantly lower than those in surrounding“rhizosphere-like”soil,and microbial richness and diversity were reduced to a greater extent in the humus horizon than in the eluvial *** likely enriched the microbes involved in their *** relative abundance levels of Cyanobacteria and Basidiomycota on microplastic surfaces were significantly higher than those in surrounding“rhizosphere-like”soil,while the relative abundance levels of Acidobacteria,Chloreflexi,and Mortierellomycota were higher in“rhizosphere-like”***,the relative abundance levels of pathways related to human diseases,animal pathogen,and fungal parasites were significantly higher on microplastic surfaces than in“rhizosphere-like”*** results show that the microbial diversity,richness,community structure and function between microplastic surfaces and surrounding“rhizosphere-like”soil are significantly different,leading to a“rhizosphere-like neighbor avoidance effect”between microplastic surfaces and the surrounding soil.

In the case of AC system fault at the inverter side of HVDC transmission system, commutation failure will occur when the turn-off angle of the inverter is less than the limit turn-off angle. To solve the problem of commutation failure, this paper presents a commutation failure suppression strategy of HVDC transmission system based on Deep Double Q-Network (DDQN). A reinforcement learning algorithm with double neural network structure is adopted to accurately predict the DC current value at the inverter side, thus improving the commutation failure prevention and control module (CFPREV), reducing the trigger delay angle at the inverter side and dynamically adjusting the constant current reference value at the rectifier side based on predicted value. At last, the experimental results show that this strategy can effectively suppress commutation failure of HVDC transmission system. © 2021 SPIE.

Capacitive voltage transformer (CVT) has the advantages such as low insulation cost, small size and large electric field strength margin, so it is widely used in voltage measurement, relay protection and high frequency communication. However, CVT has the capacitors and inductors in its structure, these components are sensitive to frequency, so it can not accurately measure harmonics. Considering the stray capacitance and coupling capacitance of capacitive voltage transformer, the broadband response equivalent circuit model of CVT is established, and a cascade hierarchical analysis method is proposed to deduce the complete transfer function. On this basis, the influence of key parameters of CVT on harmonic transmission characteristics is simulated and analysed. The simulation results show that the increase of compensation reactor stray capacitance will make the resistance band move to the low frequency direction, the stray capacitance of the primary side of the intermediate transformer affects the attenuation degree of the high frequency band, and the effect of secondary side of transformer stray capacitance on the frequency response of CVT can be ignored. The results have reference significance for accurate harmonic measurement and manufacturing of CVT.

Bandgap engineering through single-atom site binding on semiconducting photocatalyst can boost the intrinsic activity,selectivity,carrier separation,and electron ***,we report a mixed-valence Ag(0)and Ag(I)single atoms co-decorated semiconducting chalcopyrite quantum dots(Ag/CuFeS_(2)QDs)*** demonstrates efficient photocatalytic performances for specific organic dye(rhodamine B,denoted as RhB)as well as inorganic dye(Cr(VI))removal in water under natural sunlight *** RhB degradation and Cr(VI)removal efficiencies by Ag/CuFeS_(2)QDs were 3.55 and 6.75 times higher than those of the naked CuFeS_(2)QDs at their optimal pH conditions,***,in a mixture of RhB and Cr(VI)solution under neutral condition,the removal ratio has been elevated from 30.2%to 79.4%for Cr(VI),and from 95.2%to 97.3%for RhB degradation by using Ag/CuFeS_(2)QDs after 2 h sunlight *** intrinsic mechanism for the photocatalytic performance improvement is attributed to the narrow bandgap of the single-atomic Ag(I)anchored CuFeS_(2)QDs,which engineers the electronic structure as well as expands the optical light response ***,the highly active Ag(0)/CuFeS_(2)and Ag(I)/CuFeS_(2)effectively improve the separation efficiency of the carriers,thus enhancing the photocatalytic *** work presents a highly efficient single atom/QDs photocatalyst,constructed through bandgap engineering via mixed-valence single noble metal atoms binding on semiconducting *** paves the way for developing high-efficiency single-atom photocatalysts for complex pollutions removal in dyeing wastewater environment.

Pumped storage power stations play an great role in promoting new energy consumption, ensuring the safety of power grid, building clean, low-carbon, safe and efficient energy system, and has a broad development prospect. SFC is the most important start-up mode of pumped storage unit, and the output transformer is an important equipment of SFC system, which needs to be equipped with reliable and fast differential protection to ensure its safe and reliable operation. The current frequency varies from 0 to 50Hz during SFC start-up, so the conventional transformer differential protection can not adapt. In this paper, the output transformer differential protection technology is studied according to the electrical characteristics and short circuit fault characteristics of SFC start-up process, the high precision frequency algorithm and the RMS integration algorithm with compensation are proposed to realize the precise measurement of frequency and amplitude, and the ultra-low frequency CT saturation identification technology is proposed to realize the whole process protection of the output transformer from start-up to grid-connection. © 2021 Institute of Physics Publishing.
