Ternary metal halides based on Cu(I)and Ag(I)have attracted intensive attention in optoelectronic applications due to their excellent luminescent properties,low toxicity,and robust *** the self-trapped excitons(STEs)emission mechanisms of Cu(I)halides are well understood,the STEs in Ag(I)halides remain less thoroughly *** study explores the STE emission efficiency within the A_(2)AgX_(3)(A=Rb,Cs;X=Cl,Br,I)system by identifying three distinct STE states in each material and calculating their configuration coordinate *** find that the STE emission efficiency in this system is mainly determined by STE stability and influenced by self-trapping and quenching ***,we investigate the impact of structural compactness on emission efficiency and find that the excessive electron–phonon coupling in this system can be reduced by increasing the structural *** atomic packing factor is identified as a low-cost and effective descriptor for predicting STE emission efficiency in both Cs_(2)AgX_(3) and Rb_(2)AgX_(3) *** findings can deepen our understanding of STE behavior in metal halide materials and offer valuable insights for the design of efficient STE luminescent *** datasets presented in this paper are openly available in Science Data Bank at https://***/10.57760/sciencedb.12094.

The flourish of deep learning frameworks and hardware platforms has been demanding an efficient compiler that can shield the diversity in both software and hardware in order to provide application *** the existing deep learning compilers,TVM is well known for its efficiency in code generation and optimization across diverse hardware *** the meanwhile,the Sunway many-core processor renders itself as a competitive candidate for its attractive computational power in both scientific computing and deep learning *** paper combines the trends in these two ***,we propose swTVM that extends the original TVM to support ahead-of-time compilation for architecture requiring cross-compilation such as *** addition,we leverage the architecture features during the compilation such as core group for massive parallelism,DMA for high bandwidth memory transfer and local device memory for data locality,in order to generate efficient codes for deep learning workloads on *** experiment results show that the codes generated by swTVM achieve 1.79x improvement of inference latency on average compared to the state-of-the-art deep learning framework on Sunway,across eight representative *** work is the first attempt from the compiler perspective to bridge the gap of deep learning and Sunway processor particularly with productivity and efficiency in *** believe this work will encourage more people to embrace the power of deep learning and Sunwaymany-coreprocessor.

Constraint Learning-based Optimal Power Dispatch for Active Distribution Networks with Extremely Imbalanced Data

Transition towards carbon-neutral power systems has necessitated optimization of power dispatch in active distribution networks(ADNs)to facilitate integration of distributed renewable *** to unavailability of network topology and line impedance in many distribution networks,physical model-based methods may not be applicable to their *** tackle this challenge,some studies have proposed constraint learning,which replicates physical models by training a neural network to evaluate feasibility of a decision(i.e.,whether a decision satisfies all critical constraints or not).To ensure accuracy of this trained neural network,training set should contain sufficient feasible and infeasible ***,since ADNs are mostly operated in a normal status,only very few historical samples are ***,the historical dataset is highly imbalanced,which poses a significant obstacle to neural network *** address this issue,we propose an enhanced constraint learning ***,it leverages constraint learning to train a neural network as surrogate of ADN's ***,it introduces Synthetic Minority Oversampling Technique to generate infeasible samples to mitigate imbalance of historical *** incorporating historical and synthetic samples into the training set,we can significantly improve accuracy of neural ***,we establish a trust region to constrain and thereafter enhance reliability of the *** confirm the benefits of the proposed method in achieving desirable optimality and feasibility while maintaining low computational complexity.

A Secure Mutual Authentication Protocol Based on Visual Cryptography Technique for IoT-Cloud

Because of the increasing number of threats in the IoT cloud, an advanced security mechanism is needed to guard data against hacking or attacks. A user authentication mechanism is also required to authenticate the user accessing the cloud services. The conventional cryptographic algorithms used to provide security mechanisms in cloud networks are often vulnerable to various cyber-attacks and inefficient against new attacks. Therefore,developing new solutions based on different mechanisms from traditional cryptography methods is required to protect data and users' privacy from attacks. Different from the conventional cryptography method, we suggest a secure mutual authentication protocol based on the visual cryptography technique in this paper. We use visual cryptography to encrypt and decrypt the secret images. The mutual authentication is based on two secret images and *** user requests the ticket from the authentication server(AS) to obtain the permission for accessing the cloud services. Three shared secret keys are used for encrypting and decrypting the authentication process. We analyze the protocol using the Barrows-Abadi-Needham(BAN)-logic method and the results show that the protocol is robust and can protect the user against various attacks. Also, it can provide a secure mutual authentication mechanism.

An Efficient and Fast Area Optimization Approach for Mixed Polarity Reed-Muller Logic Circuits

Area has become one of the main bottlenecks restricting the development of integrated circuits. The area optimization approaches of existing XNOR/OR-based mixed polarity Reed-Muller(MPRM) circuits have poor optimization effect and efficiency. Given that the area optimization of MPRM logic circuits is a combinatorial optimization problem, we propose a whole annealing adaptive bacterial foraging algorithm(WAA-BFA), which includes individual evolution based on Markov chain and Metropolis acceptance criteria, and individual mutation based on adaptive probability. To address the issue of low conversion efficiency in existing polarity conversion approaches, we introduce a fast polarity conversion algorithm(FPCA). Moreover, we present an MPRM circuits area optimization approach that uses the FPCA and WAA-BFA to search for the best polarity corresponding to the minimum circuits area. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed MPRM circuits area optimization approach is effective and can be used as a promising EDA tool.

With the widespread adoption of cryptocurrencies, associated illicit activities such as money laundering, fraud, extortion, and Ponzi schemes have garnered significant attention. Traditional studies have extensively employed graph neural network technologies to identify illicit transactions, typically treating the entire transaction network as input to classify its nodes. Although these methods perform well on small-scale networks, they face performance limitations when processing large-scale blockchain transaction data. To address this issue, we propose a neighborhood subgraph-based method for detecting illicit transactions, integrating GCN and LSTM. In this approach, the GCN captures and integrates information from adjacent nodes for each transaction, facilitating a deep understanding of network structures. The LSTM is tasked with capturing the sequence and variations in fund flows, effectively tracking the direction and temporal characteristics of the money flow. Experimental results indicate that when using 3-hop neighborhood subgraphs, our model's performance surpasses other GCN-based methods. Compared to previous models that require considering the entire transaction network, our approach only needs to utilize information from an average of 80 nodes, significantly improving efficiency. © 2024 IEEE.

Background Three-dimensional(3D)shape representation using mesh data is essential in various applications,such as virtual reality and simulation *** methods for extracting features from mesh edges or faces struggle with complex 3D models because edge-based approaches miss global contexts and face-based methods overlook variations in adjacent areas,which affects the overall *** address these issues,we propose the Feature Discrimination and Context Propagation Network(FDCPNet),which is a novel approach that synergistically integrates local and global features in mesh *** FDCPNet is composed of two modules:(1)the Feature Discrimination Module,which employs an attention mechanism to enhance the identification of key local features,and(2)the Context Propagation Module,which enriches key local features by integrating global contextual information,thereby facilitating a more detailed and comprehensive representation of crucial areas within the mesh *** Experiments on popular datasets validated the effectiveness of FDCPNet,showing an improvement in the classification accuracy over the baseline ***,even with reduced mesh face numbers and limited training data,FDCPNet achieved promising results,demonstrating its robustness in scenarios of variable complexity.

Self-Supervised Exploration via Temporal Inconsistency in Reinforcement Learning

In sparse extrinsic reward settings, reinforcement learning remains a challenge despite increasing interest in this field. Existing approaches suggest that intrinsic rewards can alleviate issues caused by reward sparsity. However, many studies overlook the critical role of temporal information, essential for human curiosity. This article introduces a novel intrinsic reward mechanism inspired by human learning processes, where curiosity is evaluated by comparing current observations with historical knowledge. Our method involves training a self-supervised prediction model, periodically saving snapshots of the model parameters, and employing the nuclear norm to assess the temporal inconsistency between predictions from different snapshots as intrinsic rewards. Additionally, we propose a variational weighting mechanism to adaptively assign weights to the snapshots, enhancing the model's robustness and performance. Experimental results across various benchmark environments demonstrate the efficacy of our approach, which outperforms other state-of-the-art methods without incurring additional training costs and exhibits higher noise tolerance. Our findings indicate that leveraging temporal information in intrinsic rewards can significantly improve exploration performance, motivating future research to develop more robust and accurate reward systems for reinforcement learning. © 2024 IEEE.

ICCG:low-cost and efficient consistency with adaptive synchronization for metadata replication

The rapid growth in the storage scale of wide-area distributed file systems (DFS) calls for fast and scalable metadata management. Metadata replication is the widely used technique for improving the performance and scalability of metadata management. Because of the POSIX requirement of file systems, many existing metadata management techniques utilize a costly design for the sake of metadata consistency, leading to unacceptable performance overhead. We propose a new metadata consistency maintenance method (ICCG), which includes an incremental consistency guaranteed directory tree synchronization (ICGDT) and a causal consistency guaranteed replica index synchronization (CCGRI), to ensure system performance without sacrificing metadata consistency. ICGDT uses a flexible consistency scheme based on the state of files and directories maintained through the conflict state tree to provide an incremental consistency for metadata, which satisfies both metadata consistency and performance requirements. CCGRI ensures low latency and consistent access to data by establishing a causal consistency for replica indexes through multi-version extent trees and logical time. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of our methods. Compared with the strong consistency policies widely used in modern DFSes, our methods significantly improve the system performance. For example, in file creation, ICCG can improve the performance of directory tree operations by at least 36.4 times.
