Co-pyrolysis of Sewage Sludge with Distillation Residue: Kinetics Analysis via Iso-conversional Methods

This study explored the synergistic interaction of sewage sludge(SS)and distillation residue(DR)during co-pyrolysis for the optimized treatment of sewage sludge in cement kiln systems,utilizing thermogravimetric analysis(TGA)and thermogravimetric analysis with mass spectrometry(TGA-MS).The results reveal the coexisting synergistic and antagonistic effects in the co-pyrolysis of SS/*** synergistic effect arises from hydrogen free radicals in SS and catalytic components in ash fractions,while the antagonistic effect is mainly due to the melting of DR on the surface of SS particles during pyrolysis and the reaction of SS ash with alkali metals to form inert ***/DR co-pyrolysis reduces the yielding of coke and gas while increasing tar *** study will promote the reduction,recycling,and harmless treatment of hazardous solid waste.

Implicit nonlinear FEM for steel sets in tunnels

Steel sets are widely used in tunnels with unfavorable geological *** steel sets always have small dimensions and are densely installed on the excavation surface,which is why performing nonlinear analysis on steel sets in actual engineering is a challenging ***,an implicit nonlinear finite element method(FEM)for steel sets in tunnels was ***,considering the mechanical characteristics of the steel set,a mathematical model of the steel set was proposed,which can accurately reflect the arch effect of the steel ***,the stress-strain relationship of the steel set was divided into the linear elastic stage,the first yield platform stage,the nonlinear hardening stage,and the second yield platform *** combination with the mixed hardening model,a nonlinear mechanical model of the steel set was established,and its rationality was verified by a thick aluminum ring ***,for the convenience of engineering applications,steel sets were implied into rock elements,and their elastoplastic stiffness was superimposed into rock elements to reflect their supporting ***,a stress update algorithm for the steel sets in the nonlinear iterative process and a method to simulate their fracture failure were *** models were incorporated into a self-developed FEM program to conduct nonlinear analysis for steel sets in ***,the proposed method was applied in a cross-fault hydraulic *** results proved its rationality,and some conclusions of interest were *** method does not need to establish a complex solid model for steel sets,has no influence on the meshes of rock elements,and can simulate the whole process of steel sets from the linear elastic stage to the nonlinear hardening stage and finally to the fracture failure ***,it may be a convenient method of simulating steel sets in tunnels.

Multipath tracking with LTE signals for accurate TOA estimation in the application of indoor positioning

Indoor positioning with high accuracy plays an important role in different application *** a widely used mobile communication signal,the Long-Term Evolution(LTE)network can be well received in indoor and outdoor *** article studies a method of using different reference signals in the LTE downlink for carrier phase time of arrival(TOA)***,a solution is proposed and a multipath tracking software Defined Receiver(SDR)is developed for indoor *** our SDR indoor positioning system,the pilot signals of the LTE signals are firstly obtained by the coarse synchronization and ***,with the assistance of the pilot signals,the time delay acquisition,the multipath estimating delay lock loop(MEDLL)algorithm,and the multipath anomaly detection are sequentially carried out to obtain navigation observations of received ***,to compare the perfor-mance of different pilot signals,the Secondary Synchronous Signals(SSS)and Cell Reference Signals(CRS)are used as pilot signals for carrier phase-based TOA estimation,***,to quantify the accuracy of our multipath tracking SDR,indoor field tests are carried out in a conference environment,where an LTE base station is installed for commercial *** test results based on CRS show that,in the static test scenarios,the TOA accuracy measured by the 1-σerror interval is about 0.5 m,while in the mobile environment,the probability of range accuracy within 1.0 m is 95%.

Block Adjustment(BA)is a critical procedure in the geometric processing of satellite images,responsible for compensating and correcting the geometric positioning errors of the *** accuracy of the photogrammetric products,including Digital Orthophoto Map(DOM),Digital Elevation Model(DEM),Digital Line Graphic(DLG),and Digital Raster Graphic(DRG),directly depends on the accuracy of BA *** recent years,the rapid development of related technologies such as Artificial Intelligence(AI),Computer Vision(CV),Unmanned Aerial Vehicles(UAVs)and big data has greatly facilitated and transformed the classical BA in *** paper first reviews the current status of BA and then looks into the ***,this paper provides a brief review of the key technologies involved in BA,including image matching,the establishment of adjustment model,the determination of the parameters and the detection of gross ***,taking the intercross and fusion of current technologies such as AI,cloud computing and big data with photogrammetry into account,this paper explores the future trends of ***,four typical cases of large-scale adjustment are introduced,including large-scale BA without Ground Control Points(GCPs)for optical stereo satellite images,large-scale BA with laser altimetry data for optical stereo satellite images,large-scale BA for UAV oblique photogrammetry,and large-scale BA for indoor photogrammetry in caves with a large number of close-range images.

Dear Editor,Soil salinization is one of the main forms of global soil degradation,which seriously threatens food security production (Liu et al.,2022).Proper irrigation is the main management measure to control soil salinization (Aragüés et al.,2015;Machado and Serralheiro,2017).For example,in Hetao Irrigation District in Inner Mongolia of northwestern China,the effects of irrigation,seasonal freezing-thawing,and evaporation have led to serious soil salinization *** the 1980s,autumn irrigation (AI) has typically been implemented widely in Hetao Irrigation District before soil freezing (Li et al.,2010;Lu et al.,2019),to leach the salts accumulated on the surface and maintain sufficient soil moisture to create a suitable environment for the next spring sowing.

Measuring the gravity potential between two remote sites with CVSTT technique using two hydrogen clocks

According to General Relativity Theory(GRT),by comparing the frequencies between two precise clocks at two different stations,the gravity potential(geopotential)difference between the two stations can be determined due to the gravity frequency shift ***,we conduct a clock-transportation experiment for measuring geopotential differ-ences based on frequency comparisons via satellite links between two remote hydrogen atomic *** on the net frequency shift between the two clocks in two different periods,the geopotential difference between stations of the Beijing 203 Institute laboratory(BIL)and Luojiashan Time-frequency Station(LTS)is *** show that the experimental result deviated from the reference of Earth gravity model EGM2008 result by(38.5±45.9)m in Orthometric Height(OH).The results are consistent with the frequency stabilities of the hydrogen clocks(at the level of 10-15)used in the *** the rapid development of time and frequency science and technology,the approach discussed in this study for measuring the geopotential is prospective and thus,could have broad applications.

This study explored the synergistic interaction of sewage sludge(SS)and automotive paint sludge(PS)during co-pyrolysis for the optimized treatment of sewage sludge in cement kiln systems,utilizing thermogravimetric analysis(TGA)and thermogravimetric-mass spectrometry(TGA-MS).The result reveals the coexisting synergistic and antagonistic effects in the co-pyrolysis of SS/*** synergistic effect arises from hydrogen free radicals in SS and catalytic components in PS,while the main source of the antagonistic effect is that,during the mechanical mixing process,the SS/PS is converted from the particulate form into a dough-like rubbery which contributes to the film-forming effect,hindering the volatilization of volatile ***/PS co-pyrolysis reduces the yielding of tar production while increasing coke and *** study will provide some in-depth insights into the co-pyrolysis of SS/PS,and offer theoretical support for the subsequent research on the collaborative disposal processes in cement kilns.

Multiphase reaction spinning of high-temperature resistant weavable SiO_(2)-Kevlar hybrid aerogel fibers

Advanced aerogel fibers possess numerousadvantages amalgamating the attributes of aerogels and fibermaterials, rendering them invaluable in the realm of thermalmanagement and regulation. However, the achievement ofrobust mechanical properties and increased temperaturestability is still a major challenge for the majority of aerogelfibers. Herein, SiO_(2)-Kevlar hybrid aerogel fibers with bioniccore-shell structure were prepared by reaction spinning andweaved into fabric. Kevlar nanowires dispersion is pumpedinto a bath comprising a self-synthesized silica sol, whichfacilitates the hybridization of biphasic aerogels through thegel reaction. Precise control over the diameter (200-800 μm)and structure of the wet gel fibers was achieved throughmeticulous adjustment of the spinning solution composition and spinning parameters. Subsequent freeze-drying processfacilitates the formation of a core-shell hybrid structure, in which the SiO_(2) aerogel layer effectively encapsulate the Kevlaraerogel core fiber. Taking full advantage of the mechanical properties of the Kevlar core fiber, the resulting SiO_(2)-Kevlaraerogel fibers exhibit commendable weaving characteristics (51.8 MPa). Furthermore, SiO_(2)-Kevlar aerogel fabrics exhibitenhanced thermal insulation characteristics with a thermal conductivity of 0.037 W/(m·K). As a result of the presence ofexternal SiO_(2) aerogel layer, the overall temperature resistance performance of the SiO_(2)-Kevlar fabric reach up to 700 ℃.

The inherent tumor microenvironment(TME)of hypoxia and high glutathione(GSH)hinders the production of reactive oxygen species(ROS),yet which are crucial roles to make the oxygen-independent chemodynamic therapy(CDT)***,we constructed hyaluronic acid(HA)-modified and peroxymonosulfate(PMS)-loaded hollow manganese dioxide(HMn)nanoparticles for not only TME-response drug release but also the distinct ROS donors to strengthen *** enriched in the tumor site,the prepared nanotheranostic agent(HA@HMn/PMS)depleted local GSH to reduce MnO_(2) to Mn^(2+),followed by generating•OH andSO_(4)^(−)through Fenton-like reaction and activation of PMS,*** bring in of•SO_(4)^(−),a rare radical possessing exceptional oxidizing ability and oxygen-independent property,breaks the limitations of traditional ROS and causes serious damage to tumor *** a xenograft mouse tumor model,detailed studies demonstrated that HA@HMn/PMS can significantly inhibit tumor *** work inspires the enormous potential of CDT in investigating the application of multifunctional nanosystems by combining the consumption of GSH and the synergistic effect of multiple radicals in oncotherapy.

The gut microbiome promotes locomotion of Drosophila larvae via octopamine signaling

The gut microbiome is a key partner of animals,influencing various aspects of their physiology and *** the diverse behaviors regulated by the gut microbiome,locomotion is vital for survival and reproduction,although the underlying mechanisms remain ***,we reveal that the gut microbiome modulates the locomotor behavior of Drosophila larvae via a specific neuronal type in the *** crawling speed of germ-free(GF)larvae was significantly reduced compared to the conventionally reared larvae,while feeding and excretion behaviors were *** with Acetobacter and Lactobacillus can fully and partially rescue the locomotor defects in GF larvae,respectively,probably due to the highest abundance of Acetobacter as a symbiotic bacterium in the larval gut,followed by ***,the gut microbiome promoted larval locomotion,not by nutrition,but rather by enhancing the brain levels of tyrosine decarboxylase 2(Tdc2),which is an enzyme that synthesizes octopamine(OA).Overexpression of Tdc2 rescued locomotion ability in GF *** findings together demonstrate that the gut microbiome specifically modulates larval locomotor behavior through the OA signaling pathway,revealing a new mechanism underlying larval locomotion regulated by the gut microbiome.
