A systematic review of the inequality of health burdens related to climate change

Climate change significantly impacts human health,exacerbating existing health inequalities and creating new *** study addresses the lack of systematic review in this area by analyzing 2440 publications,focusing on four key terms:health,disparities,environmental factors,and climate *** inclusion criteria limited the selection to English-language,peer-reviewed articles related to climate health hazards,ensuring the relevance and rigor of the synthesized *** process synthesized 65 relevant *** investigation revealed that recent research,predominantly from developed countries,has broadened its scope beyond temperature-related impacts to encompass diverse climate hazards,including droughts,extreme weather,floods,mental health issues,and the intersecting effects of Coronavirus Disease *** has highlighted exposure as the most studied element in the causal chain of climate change-related health inequalities,followed by adaptive capability and inherent *** most significant vulnerabilities were observed among populations with low socioeconomic status,ethnic minorities,and *** study further reveals research biases and methodological limitations,such as the paucity of attention to underdeveloped regions,a narrow focus on non-temperature-related hazards,challenges in attributing climate change effects,and a deficit of large-scale empirical *** findings call for more innovative research approaches and a holistic integration of physical,socio-political,and economic dimensions to enrich climate-health discourse and inform equitable policy-making.

Metal-organic frameworks(MOFs) have been widely used in oxygen reduction reaction(ORR) of fuel cells and metal-air batteries, attributed to their unique structures and compositions. Recently, the preparation of transition-metallic single-atom electrocatalysts(TM-SACs) using MOFs as precursors or templates has made great progress. Herein, the development history of SACs prepared based on MOFs and their characterization are overviewed firstly, and then several strategies are summarized for preparing TM-SACs using MOFs and further modification. Finally, the challenges and opportunities confronted by TM-SACs are fully discussed. Consequently, our work can guide the realization of TM-SACs abundant with high activity, high loading and high stability.

Fatigue and impact analysis and multi-objective optimization design of Mg/Al assembled wheel considering riveting residual stress

Adaptative Pressure Estimation and control Architecture for Integrated Electro-Hydraulic Brake System

The current research of master cylinder pressure estimation mainly relies on hydraulic characteristic or vehicle *** they are not independently applicable to any environment and have their own scope of *** addition,about the master cylinder pressure control,there are few studies that can simultaneously balance pressure building accuracy,speed,and prevent pressure overshoot and *** this paper,an adaptative fusion method based on electro-hydraulic characteristic and vehicle mode is proposed to estimate the master cylinder *** fusion strategy is mainly based on the prediction performance of two algorithms under different vehicle speeds,pressures,and ABS *** from this,this article also includes real-time prediction of the friction model based on RLS to improve the accuracy of the electro-hydraulic *** order to simultaneously balance pressure control accuracy,response speed,and prevent overshoot and jitter,this article proposes an adaptative LQR controller for MC pressure control which uses fuzzy-logic controller to adjust the weights of LQR controller based on target pressure and difference compared with actual *** mode-in-loop and hardware-in-loop tests in ramp,step and sinusoidal response,the whole estimation and control system is verified based on real hydraulic system and the performance is satisfactory under these *** research proposes an adaptative pressure estimation and control architecture for integrated electro-hydraulic brake system which could eliminate pressure sensors in typical scenarios and ensure the comprehensive performance of pressure control.

Accurate measurement of current feedback is an important prerequisite for high performance permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) drive systems. For the actual control system, due to the thermal drift, aging, nonlinearity and some other factors of the current sensors and the corresponding conditioning circuits, current measurement error will occur and correspondingly will result in torque and speed ripples. To overcome this issue, an online current measurement error compensation (CMEC) method for PMSM drive system is proposed in this paper. Firstly, the influence of different kinds of current measurement errors, the offset error and scaling error, is analyzed from the perspective of open loop control. Secondly, a Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT) based CMEC method is proposed. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed method is validated on a 1kW commercialized servo motor test rig, results show that the proposed method can reduce 80% of the current ripple. © 2024 IEEE.

Electrical tree degradation is one of the main causes of insulation failure in high-frequency *** tree degradation is studied on pure epoxy resin(EP)and MgO/EP composites at frequencies ranging from 50 Hz to 130 *** results show that the tree initiation voltage of EP decreases,while the growth rate and the expansion coefficient increase with ***,the bubble phenomenon at high frequencies in EP composites is *** with trap distribution character-istics within the material,the intrinsic mechanism of epoxy composites to inhibit the growth of the electrical tree at different frequencies is *** can be concluded that more deep traps and blocking effect are introduced by doping nano-MgO into EP bulks,which can improve the electrical tree resistance performance of EP composites in a wide frequency range.

Integrated Motion control of Interaction Safety, Stability, and Path-Tracking for Front-and-Rear-Independent-Drive Electric Vehicle

Under two vehicle interaction scenarios, the uncertain motion states of traffic participants pose significant challenges to the safety of autonomous vehicles (AVs), and AVs are susceptible to instability with emergency avoidance constraints. To address this issue, an integrated motion control of interaction safety, stability, and path-tracking is proposed for front-and-rear-independent-drive electric vehicles (FRIDEV). First, a control-oriented longitudinal-lateral coupled dynamic model is established. Then, a variable step model predictive control (MPC) is designed to solve multiobjective optimization problems, which mainly include two parts: 1) adaptive adjustment of stability weight by an improved phase plane method and 2) adding an interactive safety constraint to motion control by backward reachability analysis. Finally, simulation results show that the proposed controller can effectively utilize the longitudinal and lateral tire forces and achieve a balance between stability and tracking accuracy, and reduce collision risk in the interactive scenario with milder control actions. Moreover, the hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) test demonstrates that the proposed controller is effective in the real-time environment. © 2015 IEEE.

Effects of surface fluoride modification on TiO_(2)for the photocatalytic oxidation of toluene

In the present study,we investigated the influence of surface fluorine(F)on TiO_(2)for the photocatalytic oxidation(PCO)of ***_(2)modified with different F content was prepared and *** was found that with the increasing of F content,the toluene conversion rate first increased and then ***,CO_(2)mineralization efficiency showed the opposite *** on the characterizations,we revealed that F substitutes the surface hydroxyl of TiO_(2)to form the structure of≡*** presence of the appropriate amount of surface≡Ti-F on TiO_(2)greatly enhanced the separation of photogenerated carriers,which facilitated the generation of·OH and promoted the activity for the PCO of *** was further revealed that the increase of only·OH promoted the conversion of toluene to ring-containing intermediates,causing the accumulation of intermediates and then conversely inhibited the·OH generation,which led to the decrease of the CO_(2)mineralization *** above results could provide guidance for the rational design of photocatalysts for toluene oxidation.

Discovery of emerging organic pollutants in the atmosphere through an omics approach

Ambient air pollution,containing numerous known and hitherto unknown compounds,is a major risk factor for public *** discovery of harmful components is the prerequisite for pollution control;however,this raises a great challenge on recognizing previously unknown *** we systematically review the analytical techniques on air pollution in the framework of an omics approach,with a brief introduction on sample preparation and analysis,and in more detail,compounds prioritization and *** high-resolution mass spectrometry(HRMS,typically coupled with chromatography),the complicated environmental matrix can be digitalized into“fullcomponent”data.A key step to discover emerging compounds is the prioritization of compounds from massive *** fingerprints,suspect lists and biological effects are the most vital untargeted strategies for comprehensively screening critical and hazardous ***,compressed data of compounds can be identified at various confidence levels according to exact mass and the derived molecular formula,MS libraries,and authentic *** an omics approach on full-component data provides a paradigm for discovering emerging air pollutants;nonetheless,new technological advancements of instruments and databases are warranted for further tracking the environmental behaviors,hence to evaluate the health risk of key pollutants.

Aerosol exposure assessment during reclaimed water utilization in China and risk evaluation in case of Legionella

Reclaimed water utilization provides an effective way to alleviate water ***,the residual pathogens in the recycled water like Legionella,could be spread into the air as aerosols through water-to-air transmission *** the aerosols by the people nearby increases their susceptibility to *** estimating the health risks associated with the potential exposure of airborne Legionella emitted from the urban use of reclaimed water in China,nationwide questionnaire was designed to investigate the exposure habits of Chinese population in different *** microbial risk assessment(QMRA)served as the suitable explanatory tool to estimate the *** results indicated that annual infection probability of populations exposed to Legionella for three scenarios,0.0764(95%CI:0.0032−0.6880)for road cleaning,1.0000(95%CI:0.1883−1.0000)for greenfield irrigation,0.9981(95%CI:0.0784−1.0000)for landscape fountain,were markedly higher than the threshold recommended by WHO(10^(−4) per person per year(pppy))according to the concentration distribution of Legionella in the reclaimed *** age-,educational background-,region-and gender-specific data in annual infection probability also showed different tendencies for some *** study provides some detailed information on the health risks from the water reuse in China and will be useful to promote the safe application of reclaimed water in water-deficient areas.
