Hypergolic ignition by binary collision of H2O2 and Monoethanolamine-NaBH4 droplets has been experimentally studied with the emphasis on the inter-mixing, heat transfer, droplet configuration and flame propagation during the process. The entire ignition is phenomenally categorized into five stages. The H2O2 droplet penetrates into the MEA- NaBH4 droplet after collision and forms coalesced multi-phase droplet, in which the H2O2 fluid parcel is separated from the surrounding MEA-NaBH4 mixture by an interface. The H2O2 fluid parcel rapidly restores its sphericity in the MEA-NaBH4 environment driven by interfacial tension, which is verified based on time scale analysis. Gaseous bubbles are produced at the interface, which leads to swelling of the coalesced H2O2/MEA-NaBH4 droplet. At the initial stage, the existence of apparent interface tension tends to limit the rate of droplet inflation. As more bubbles is produced, the interface tension wanes, providing condition for rapid swelling of droplet. The droplet surface expansion rate is identified via the gray-level information in recorded images. The underlying mechanism for the swelling of the coalesced H2O2/MEA-NaBH4 droplet can be attributed to the flash vaporization of the superheated H2O2 fluid inside the droplet, which is further verified by theoretical analysis. The accumulation of the bubbles within the coalesced H2O2/MEA-NaBH4 droplet destroys the outer surface, releasing gaseous reactant into ambient and creating combustible mixture enveloping the remaining double-sphere fluid configuration. A flame ring structure is observed when the ignition occurs. Luminant flame sustains more than ten milliseconds until the fuel vapor is depleted. © 2022, The Authors. All rights reserved.

A study is conducted on the LH5T-13.5M electric crane, focusing on the swing characteristics of the load during steel coil lifting operations and the displacement issue of the crane. Initially, the system model is formulated using the Lagrange dynamic equations, translating the practical challenges into a solvable mathematical framework and deriving the transfer function of interest. Subsequently, the development of three control strategies is elucidated, formulated on the basis of the established model: a conventional PID control system, a fuzzy PID control system, and an adaptive proportional factor fuzzy neural PID controller. These systems are simulated and validated using Simulink. A comparative experimental setup is employed to evaluate performance. The results show that when the step input signal is 1, the maximum absolute load swing Angle of the traditional PID, fuzzy PID and adaptive scale factor fuzzy neural PID controller are 0.185°, 0.054° and 0.049° respectively for the working condition 1 experiment. The percentage overshoot corresponding to the wheelbarrow is 37.1%, 40.0%, and 30.5%, respectively. The findings indicate that the introduced fuzzy neural PID controller, equipped with an adaptive scaling factor, exhibits superior stability and effectiveness in maintaining the crane's operation within the optimal range of parameters.

Savitzky-Golay (SG) filters are an effective and easy-to-use gradient calculation method, so it is intensively used in full-field strain measurement in digital image correlation (DIC). At present, the strain field is commonly obtained by moving smoothing filtering with SG filters. This is a way of spatial filtering, which has the advantages of easy implementation and high accuracy. In this paper, a strain calculation method based on frequency domain SG (FD-SG) filtering is proposed. Before FD-SG filtering is performed, data extension operations involving outer-boundary padding and zero-padding are performed on the displacement field data. Similarly, the SG filters template are extended with zero-padding and circularly shift operations. Then, FD-SG filters are generated by applying the fast Fourier transform (FFT) to the expanded SG template. Subsequently, FD-SG filtering is implemented by multiplying the displacement in the Fourier-domain by a FD-SG filter. Ultimately, the strain field can be obtained by fast inverse Fourier transform (IFFT) and valid data interception operation. Both simulation and practical experiments demonstrated that FD-SG filtering and spatial domain SG (SD-SG) filtering have equivalent accuracy, and the proposed FD-SG filtering method have great potential for real-time strain measurement in DIC. © 2022, The Authors. With the appearance of various modern and high-performance electromagnetic equipment, collaborative jamming based resource allocation becomes particularly important. Hence, the optimal resource allocation method has great practical significance to improve jamming efficiency and success rate. However, the task environment faced by collaborative jamming is more complex, which makes it difficult to allocate jamming recourse efficiently. To address the issue, we propose a collaborative jamming decision-making mechanism (CJDM) using ant colony algorithm in electromagnetic antagonism. We first design a task priority evaluation algorithm and establish the priority databases. Subsequently, a resource allocation model is developed to maximize jamming efficiency. Then, the improved ant colony algorithm is proposed to solve this problem. Finally, the comprehensive simulations are carried out. The results reveal that the mechanism can respond to the jamming tasks effectively and quickly.

Ignoring the additional earth pressure surrounding the shield tunnel caused by the interaction between the existing tunnel and the strata on overloading conditions, the analytical calculation theories now available group the strata where there a shield tunnel exists as complete soil strata. Given this background, the model experiment and analysis on the interaction between the tunnel and the strata are designed and conducted. The results indicate that on overloading condition, there will be some discrepancies between the vertical compression deformation of the tunnel structure and the vertical compression of soils at two lateral sides of the tunnel, which will lead to the vertical relative displacement among the overlaying strata, accordingly, causing the transferring of the earth pressure in the vertical direction;that the relative displacement in the vertical direction of the overlaying strata is determined jointly by the rigidity of the shield tunnel and the compression modulus of the soils that the tunnel goes through;that the additional vertical earth pressure on the soft soils of the shield tunnel caused by the uniform surface overloading does not distribute in a uniform way, instead the earth pressure on the top of the tunnel within certain range is larger than the uniform overloading on the surface and that the additional earth pressure is subject to the influence of the physical and mechanical properties of the soils at both lateral sides of the tunnel, the overlaying strata and the underlying strata. © 2022, The Authors. At present, the manual inspection along railway lines is still a major method to ensure railway operation safely, but the cost is high and work efficiency is low. Therefore, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) patrol inspection is required. This paper presents the effective segmentation of scenes along railway lines (SRL) from remote sensing perspective of UAVs based on the full convolutional networks (FCN). Firstly, the datasets needed in this research are collected and produced from Langfang section of the Beijing–Shanghai high-speed railway. The datasets are expanded by using data augmentation to constrain the overfitting in the training process. Secondly, the segmentation model FCN-8s for SRL is developed and trained. The related setting and hardware environment in the training process are described in this paper. The experimental results show that a single image prediction needs 151.2 ms, to achieve 6.6 fps when input size is 384 × 384. Good accuracy is obtained on the test dataset, i.e., 55.8% MIoU and 70.2% MPA, which meets the expectations of FCN. At the same time, it is also found that the segmentation of railway area achieves the best result thus the railway area is extracted accordingly. © Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2020.

Probabilistic power forecasting for wind farm clusters using Moran-Graph network with posterior feedback attention mechanism

Predicting wind power generation precisely is key to optimizing wind energy use. This paper proposes a novel hybrid probabilistic forecasting model for wind farm cluster power output. First, to address the complex spatiotemporal interdependencies among multiple wind farms, a Moran-Graph network is proposed to extract synergistic features across wind farm clusters. To address the high volatility and non-stationarity of wind power, a hybrid decomposition method integrating sequential Variational Mode Decomposition (SVMD) and Improved Complete Ensemble Empirical Mode Decomposition with Adaptive Noise (ICEEMDAN) is proposed. The Refined Composite Multi-scale Weighted Permutation Entropy (RCMWPE) is then employed to quantify the complexity of each subsequence for optimal signal reconstruction. Finally, a Feedback Attention-based Multi-Stacking model (FAMM-Stacking) is developed, which integrates Hybrid Kernel Density Estimation (HKDE) to generate probabilistic forecasting results for wind farm cluster power output. Case studies on wind farm clusters in Northwest China demonstrate that, at identical confidence levels, the proposed model achieves superior prediction interval coverage probability (PICP) with narrower average bandwidth, outperforming benchmark models. © 2025 Elsevier Ltd
