Soliton microcombs (SMCs), originating from the balance of cavity loss and gain as well as nonlinearity and dispersion, are formed in the micro-resonator [1]. Among them, the perfect soliton crystal (PSC) is a special soliton state with soliton pulses distributed evenly along the resonator circumference. The number of the PSCs corresponds to the comb line spacing [2]. Previously, a cascaded Bragg scattering process driven by an extra incident continuous wave (C.W.) laser was observed in a Kerr micro-resonator, which triggers the generation of idler frequency components for the dissipative solitons [3]. In this work, we investigate the PSC linear-wave scattering by injecting an extra probe laser. With a properly set probe laser, the comb spectrum is adjusted in the experiments.

We propose and demonstrate a wavelength and bandwidth tunable silicon photonic filter over the O+C+L band using novel Mach-Zehnder interferometers and vernier microring resonators. All bands show ultra-high out-of-band extinction ratios over -35 dB. In C and L bands, the 3dB bandwidth can be tuned from 27.48 pm to 53.77 pm, with the total insertion loss varying from −2.31 dB to −11.27 dB. In the O band, the 3dB bandwidth varies from 4.74 pm to 23.4 pm, with the total insertion loss from −2.21 dB to −6.72 dB.
