This paper develops distributed algorithms for solving Sylvester *** authors transform solving Sylvester equations into a distributed optimization problem,unifying all eight standard distributed matrix *** the authors propose a distributed algorithm to find the least squares solution and achieve an explicit linear convergence *** results are obtained by carefully choosing the step-size of the algorithm,which requires particular information of data and Laplacian *** avoid these centralized quantities,the authors further develop a distributed scaling technique by using local information *** a result,the proposed distributed algorithm along with the distributed scaling design yields a universal method for solving Sylvester equations over a multi-agent network with the constant step-size freely chosen from configurable ***,the authors provide three examples to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithms.

Surface roughness classification using light scattering matrix and deep learning

High-quality optical components have been widely used in various applications;thus,extremely high beam quality is ***,surface roughness is a key indicator of the surface *** this study,the angular distribution of light scattering field intensity was obtained for surfaces having different roughness profiles based on the finite difference time domain(FDTD)method,and the results were compared with those obtained using the generalized Harvey-Shack(GHS)*** was shown that the FDTD approach can be used for an accurate simulation of the scattered field of a rough surface,and the superposition of results obtained from many surfaces that have the same roughness level was in good agreement with the result given by the analytic GHS model.A light scattering matrix(LSM)method was proposed based on the FDTD simulation results that could obtain rich surface roughness *** classification effect of LSM was compared with that of the single-incidence scattering distribution(SISD)based on a ResNet-50 deep learning *** classification accuracy of the model trained with the LSM dataset was obtained as 95.74%,which was 23.40%higher than that trained using the SISD ***,the effects of different noise types and filtering methods on the classification performance were analyzed,and the LSM was also shown to improve the robustness and generalizability of the trained surface roughness ***,the proposed LSM method has important implications for improving the data acquisition scheme of current light scattering measurement systems,and it also has the potential to be used for detection and characterization of surface defects of optical components.

Ecosystems are undergoing unprecedented persistent deterioration due to unsustainable anthropogenic human activities,such as overfishing and deforestation,and the effects of such damage on ecological stability are *** recent advances in experimental and theoretical studies on regime shifts and tipping points,theoretical tools for understanding the extinction chain,which is the sequence of species extinctions resulting from overexploitation,are still lacking,especially for large-scale nonlinear networked *** this study,we developed a mathematical tool to predict regime shifts and extinction chains in ecosystems under multiple exploitation situations and verified it in 26 real-world mutualistic networks of various sizes and *** discovered five phases during the exploitation process:safe,partial extinction,bistable,tristable,and collapse,which enabled the optimal design of restoration strategies for degraded or collapsed *** validated our approach using a 20-year dataset from an eelgrass restoration ***,we also found a specific region in the diagram spanning exploitation rates and competition intensities,where exploiting more species helps increase *** computational tool provides insights into harvesting,fishing,exploitation,or deforestation plans while conserving or restoring the biodiversity of mutualistic ecosystems.

The creation of Chinese dance dramas plays an important role in the dissemination of Chinese culture in the context of pluralistic unity. As one of the outstanding poetry dramas in the past two years, 'The Journey of a Legendary Landscape Painting' (JLLP) has rich national cultural connotations and aesthetic value in its stage costume colors. This article first studied the data extraction method of stage costume colors based on clustering and association rule mining, and constructed the color dataset for JLLP. On this basis, the color semantic mining and extraction including subjective and objective factors were conducted. Finally, combined with color semantics, the character personality of JLLP was further analyzed. The research results show that the color extraction method designed in this article can accurately preserve the color characteristics of stage costumes. In addition, the costume colors of JLLP play a good supporting role in shaping the character personality. © 2024 IEEE.

The difficulty of moving from aquatic to aerial environment is one of the major challenges limiting the development of trans-medium multi-domain locomotion vehicles. In this paper, the concept of the transformable wheel, a feature commonly found in autonomous land vehicles (AL V s), is introduced into the design. Additionally, a flapping-wing robot equipped with multi-domain locomotion capability, which can not only realize aerial flight and surface navigation on water, but also ascend from water to land for subsequent takeoff is presented. The paper first introduces the system design of the robot and proposes the corresponding multi-domain locomotion strategy. Subsequently, the design of the transformable wheel mechanism is described in detail and the force analysis for the water-exit is conducted. The feasibility of the proposed strategy is experimentally validated, confirming the prototype's multi-domain locomotion performance finally. This research explores the feasibility of introducing the transformable wheel mechanism into trans-medium multi-domain vehicle platforms and provides a design example. © 2024 IEEE.

Building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV) provide great flexibility for energy conservation and emission reduction. However, uneven illumination distribution can result in multi-peak characteristics, negatively impacting the system's efficiency. Therefore, it is crucial to establish a photovoltaic (PV) cell model that is adaptable to environmental changes. The existing wildly-used seven-parameter circuit model faces big challenges in real engineering applications due to its unmatched parameters to the ones provided by manufactures. To address this issue, this study utilizes the maximum power point matching method and investigates parameter optimizations, including photocurrent (Ipv), reverse saturation current (Io), as well as ideality factor (A). An optimized seven-parameter model is established and the output characteristics of two different kinds of PV panels are presented. To maximize the output power, it is necessary to optimize the array configuration. Based on the enhanced even-parameter model, this paper does in-depth investigations on the maximum output of the six typical structures under three typical shading patterns, which are Series-Parallel (SP), Bridge-Linked (BL), Total-Cross- Tied (TCT), Honey-Comp (HC), Long Strings (LS), and Multi Strings (MS). The research findings will contribute to the selection of the optimal structure for PV arrays under various shading scenarios. © 2024 IEEE.

Cutting Finite Element Simulation of Quenched Steel GCr15 Based on ABAQUS

Background: The substantial cutting force and elevated cutting temperature during the machining of hardened steel GCr15 exacerbate tool wear. Objective: In this study, the influence of cutting parameters on cutting force and cutting temperature in the process of hard-cutting GCr15 was studied, the cutting parameters were optimized, and the cutting force and cutting temperature were predicted. Methods: The cutting simulation model was constructed using ABAQUS software, and the cutting force and cutting temperature were investigated under various cutting parameters through range analysis, variance analysis, and signal-to-noise ratio transformation analysis. Results: The simulation and experimental results demonstrated that the cutting force could be optimized by utilizing cutting speed vc=140 m/min, feed rate f=0.1 mm/r, and cutting depth ap=0.1 mm. Under these conditions, the cutting force in the x-direction was measured as 78.560N, while the cutting force in the y-direction was 32.423N. Moreover, for achieving the optimal cutting temperature, the recommended cutting parameters were cutting speed vc=120 m/min, feed rate f=0.1 mm/r, and cutting depth ap=0.4 mm. Conclusion: Compared to the conventional analytical method, which is burdened with high costs and low efficiency, the patent leverages finite element simulation technology to replicate the hardcutting process and its underlying cutting mechanism. This innovation simplifies the otherwise complex and laborious experimental and measurement procedures. By studying cutting force and cutting temperature, the optimization of cutting parameters can be achieved, thus offering valuable theoretical insights for practical production. © 2024 Bentham Science Publishers.

A Hierarchical Intention Inference Model for Connected and Automated Vehicles

Lane-changing is one of the typical maneuvers with high risk, which can cause uncomfortable brake and dangerous crash. An experienced human driver keeps an eye on surrounding vehicles, catches lane-changing hints and conducts deceleration in advance. To make the connected and automated vehicle (CAV) more like a skilled driver, it is significant to earlier identify potential lane-changing intentions. Motivated by this, we design a hierarchical model to realize accurate and early inference on driving intentions. A novel module based on parallel recurrent neural networks (PRNN) is proposed to generate intention probabilities and a Gaussian hidden Markov model (GHMM) is suggested to replace the classical ratio comparison to determine intention output. Comparative results on public datasets verify that our model outperforms other homologous methods. Under 95% specificity, our model can accurately identify more than 93% of lane-changing maneuvers 5.10 seconds before the insertion. In addition, driver-in-the-loop (DIL) experiments on a driving simulator are carried out to show the effectiveness of our method. More importantly, we integrate our hierarchical intention inference scheme with a finite state machine (FSM)-based controller. By doing so, the actual significance of our module on the controller is investigated in a real driving task. The comparison of different strategies illustrates that with the help of intention inference, a softer deceleration and a safer distance headway can be ensured by the CAV in a cruise task. IEEE

Research and application of composite stochastic resonance in enhancement detection

Aiming at the problem that the intermediate potential part of the traditional bistable stochastic resonance model cannot be adjusted independently, a new composite stochastic resonance(NCSR) model is proposed by combining the Woods–Saxon(WS) model and the improved piecewise bistable model. The model retains the characteristics of the independent parameters of WS model and the improved piecewise model has no output saturation, all the parameters in the new model have no coupling characteristics. Under α stable noise environment, the new model is used to detect periodic signal and aperiodic signal, the detection results indicate that the new model has higher noise utilization and better detection ***, the new model is applied to image denoising, the results showed that under the same conditions, the output peak signal-to-noise ratio(PSNR) and the correlation number of NCSR method is higher than that of other commonly used linear denoising methods and improved piecewise SR methods, the effectiveness of the new model is verified.

Multi-motor configuration of multi-DOF(degree of freedom)optical system is a major source of redundant structure,putting a limitation on the simple and miniaturized ***,a novel two-DOF ultrasonic motor(USM)is proposed to provide a feasible method of application in the lens autofocus of the optical *** proposed USM operates by one longitudinal mode and two orthogonal bending modes,which is inspired by the bionic motion principle of the *** frequency degeneration among the three working modes is per-formed,and the working principle of the USM is verified via the FEM simulation.A prototype of the two-DOF USM is fabricated,and its mechanical output characteristics are *** experimental results indicate that the prototype achieves the maximum rotary and linear speeds of 3319.6 rpm and 57.6 mm/s,***,we demonstrate the result of a simple focusing experiment using the prototype and obtain a series of clear pictures,which verifies the feasibility of application in the optical focusing system.
