Sandwiched functionally-graded piezoelectric semiconductor(FGPS)plates possess high strength and excellent piezoelectric and semiconductor properties,and have significant potential applications in micro-electro-mechanical *** multi-field coupling and free vibration of a sandwiched FGPS plate are studied,and the governing equation and natural frequency are derived with the consideration of electron *** material properties in the functionally-graded layers are assumed to vary smoothly,and the first-order shear deformation theory is introduced to derive the multi-field coupling in the *** total strain energy of the plate is obtained,and the governing equations are presented by using Hamilton’s *** introducing the boundary conditions,the coupling physical fields are *** numerical examples,the natural frequencies of sandwiched FGPS plates under different geometrical and physical parameters are *** is found that the initial electron density can be used to modulate the natural frequencies and vibrational displacement of sandwiched FGPS plates in the case of *** effects of the material properties of FGPS layers on the natural frequencies are also examined in detail.

An Improved High Precision 3D Semantic Mapping of Indoor Scenes from RGB-D Images

This paper proposes an improved high-precision 3D semantic mapping method for indoor scenes using RGB-D *** current semantic mapping algorithms suffer from low semantic annotation accuracy and insufficient real-time *** address these issues,we first adopt the Elastic Fusion algorithm to select key frames from indoor environment image sequences captured by the Kinect sensor and construct the indoor environment space ***,an indoor RGB-D image semantic segmentation network is proposed,which uses multi-scale feature fusion to quickly and accurately obtain object labeling information at the pixel level of the spatial point cloud ***,Bayesian updating is used to conduct incremental semantic label fusion on the established spatial point cloud *** also employ dense conditional random fields(CRF)to optimize the 3D semantic map model,resulting in a high-precision spatial semantic map of indoor *** results show that the proposed semantic mapping system can process image sequences collected by RGB-D sensors in real-time and output accurate semantic segmentation results of indoor scene images and the current local spatial semantic ***,it constructs a globally consistent high-precision indoor scenes 3D semantic map.

The corrosion and activation mechanism of thiophenic sulfides in the oil-paper insulation

The corrosive sulfides in the insulating oil have been confirmed to induce insulation faults, thereby the corrosive sulfides can be removed during the refining process of oil to overcome the corrosion threat. Some inactive sulfides are retained to improve the oxidation stability of oil, mainly including thiophenic sulfides. However, the activation of thiophenic sulfides under the operating conditions and whether it causes corrosion of copper winding remain unclear. Therefore, this paper focuses on the reaction mechanism of copper winding corrosion induced by the pyrolysis of thiophenic sulfides in oil from the perspective of microscopic reaction mechanism, mainly including the analysis of thermal decomposition products of thiophenic sulfides, the activation energy of thiophenic sulfides on varied heating rates, the molecular dynamics simulation of thiophenic sulfides degradation and the thermal ageing verification test. The results indicate that the pyrolysis products of thiophenic sulfides consist of sulfur-containing micromolecules and inorganic products, such as hydrogen sulfide and its ion (H2S, HS-), elemental sulfur (S, S2), and hydrogen and its ion (H2, H+), etc. Thiophene has the lowest activation energy, thereby it is the most prone to pyrolysis, followed by benzothiophene and dibenzothiophene. The continuous energy accumulation results in the decomposition of thiophenic sulfides due to long-term thermal action and generate low molecular corrosive sulfides, further intensifying the oil corrosivity, and leading to the corrosion of oil-paper insulation. © 1994-2012 IEEE.

This paper introduces a novel state and input constrained optimal tracking control method to address limitations posed by only partially known robot system models and constrained physical variables, such as joint position, velocity, and torque during the control process. The method employs the slack function and nonquadratic function methods to effectively handle state error and input constraints, ensuring the overall stationarity and safety of the control process. Subsequently, the adaptive dynamic programming (ADP) algorithm is designed to formulate update laws for the approximating neural networks, enabling the derivation of optimal control solutions without relying on an internal dynamic model of the system. Finally, convergence and performance are validated through simulation experiments, confirming its efficacy in managing constraints and demonstrating its application perspectives in real-world scenarios. © 2024 IEEE.

For all-optical communication and information processing,it is necessary to develop all-optical logic gates based on photonic structures that can directly perform logic ***-optical logic gates have been demonstrated based on conventional waveguides and interferometry,as well as photonic crystal ***,any defects in those structures will introduce high scattering loss,which compromises the fidelity and contrast ratio of the information *** on the spin-valley locking effect that can achieve defect-immune unidirectional transmission of topological edge states in valley photonic crystals(VPCs),we propose a high-performance all-optical logic OR gate based on a VPC *** tuning the working bandwidth of the two input channels,we prevent interference between the two channels to achieve a stable and high-fidelity *** transmittance of both channels is higher than 0.8,and a high contrast ratio of 28.8 dB is ***,the chirality of the logic gate originated from the spin-valley locking effect allows using different circularly polarized light as inputs,representing“1”or“0”,which is highly desired in quantum *** device’s footprint is 18μm×12μm,allowing high-density on-chip *** addition,this design can be experimentally fabricated using current nanofabrication techniques and will have potential applications in optical communication,information processing,and quantum computing.

In the intricate process of steel manufacturing, the precise measurement of molten iron is a pivotal procedure, which directly impacts the quality of steel production. Rail weighbridges are commonly deployed in the steel industry for molten iron measurement. Therefore, the accuracy of rail weighbridges weighing data is extremely important. However, due to process intricacies and equipment nuances, weighbridge weight data often exhibits outliers. This problem can potentially hinder data-centric modeling and predictive tasks. To solve this problem, this paper introduces a data cleaning methodology based on an Improved Adaptive Density-Based Spatial Clustering of Applications with Noise (IA-DBSCAN). The proposed data cleaning method is rooted in an improved adaptive DBSCAN approach, which is particularly effective in identifying clusters of arbitrary shapes and can differentiate noise from actual clusters. The application of the IA-DBSCAN algorithm facilitates the identification and cleaning of concentrated outliers. The algorithm dynamically seeks eps and MinPts parameters to achieve optimal clustering outcomes. Constraints have been incorporated into the improved algorithm, enabling it to achieve data cleaning more rapidly and accurately. After data cleaning, based on the characteristics of the selected dataset in this paper, data imputation using the linear regression method can align with the original data characteristics. Experimental results indicate that the proposed method can effectively identify and clean outliers data in the dataset, supplement missing values based on the original data characteristics, and construct a complete and anomaly-free dataset, establish a robust foundation for modeling and prediction. © 2024 IEEE.

In machine learning-driven landslide prediction models, data quality directly determines the accuracy of landslide predictions. Currently, data preprocessing methods mainly involve fitting the data using moving averages or least squares methods. While these methods are effective and convenient for processing global data, they face limitations when dealing with local data during heavy rainfall events. The sharp increase in cumulative landslide displacement during significant rainfall makes it challenging for overall data preprocessing methods to effectively handle local data, leading to potential data loss and compromising data quality. To address this limitation, this paper proposes a segmented data processing approach. During periods of heavy rainfall, cubic spline interpolation is employed to interpolate missing data, providing a better representation of data variability. For smaller rainfall amounts, linear interpolation is utilized. Finally, the LOESS smoothing method is applied to further enhance data quality. These meticulous data processing steps aim to accurately capture the changing trends in rainfall-induced landslides. By providing more reliable inputs to machine learning prediction models, this approach seeks to improve the accuracy and reliability of landslide predictions. © 2024 IEEE.
