In reality, many cryptographic analysis techniques are based on a specific cryptographic system or a large number of encrypted ciphertext. The identification and detection of cryptographic system is of great significance for evaluating the security of the algorithm and guiding the design and improvement of the algorithm. In this paper, we transcode each character in ciphertext into a decimal number, construct these numbers into one-dimensional arrays, and obtain the Euclidean distance between these one-dimensional arrays. Then we use these distances as features and input them into three machine learning classifiers: random forest, logistic regression and support vector machine to recognize cryptosystem and compare their recognition accuracy. The subjects include 8 common block ciphers (DES, 3DES, AES-128, AES-256, IDEA, SMS4, Blowfish, Camellia-128). The experimental results show that using the feature extraction scheme not only shortens the experimental time, reduces the computational cost, but also improves the recognition accuracy of eight typical block cipher algorithms. The classification accuracy of the ECB mode in the random forest classifier is 75%, which is higher than the existing published literature experimental results. The classification accuracy rate of CBC mode is higher than 13.5%, which is higher than the accuracy of random classification. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

The collaboration of computing powers (CPs) among unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs)-mounted edge servers is essential to handle data-intensive tasks of user equipments (UEs). This paper presents a multi-UAV computing power network (CPN) that orchestrates the CP resources of edge servers to cooperatively process tasks through collaborative computing. Due to the frequent interactions among edge servers and the increased complexities for large-scale task executions, we propose a digital twin (DT)-driven multi-UAV CPN framework, where the aerial DT network is created as a digital replica of the multi-UAV network to assist collaborative computing. A joint optimization problem of the service association, offloading power control, task partitions, CP allocation, and UAV trajectory design is formulated to minimize the long-term average delay of UEs. We use the Lyapunov technique to tackle the long-term energy constraint, forming a tractable optimization problem, which is modeled as a Markov decision process to balance the UAV's deficit queue stability and the UE's task completion delay. A hybrid soft actor-critic based deep reinforcement learning algorithm is developed to optimize the joint design by sampling the hybrid action from the Gumbel and Gaussian distributions. Simulation results verify that the multi-UAV CPN contributes to significant performance gains when supported by DTs. © 2025 IEEE.

Nonlinear Bayesian Filtering with Natural Gradient Gaussian Approximation

Practical Bayes filters often assume the state distribution of each time step to be Gaussian for computational tractability, resulting in the so-called Gaussian filters. When facing nonlinear systems, Gaussian filters such as extended Kalman filter (EKF) or unscented Kalman filter (UKF) typically rely on certain linearization techniques, which can introduce large estimation errors. To address this issue, this paper reconstructs the prediction and update steps of Gaussian filtering as solutions to two distinct optimization problems, whose optimal conditions are found to have analytical forms from Stein’s lemma. It is observed that the stationary point for the prediction step requires calculating the first two moments of the prior distribution, which is equivalent to that step in existing moment-matching filters. In the update step, instead of linearizing the model to approximate the stationary points, we propose an iterative approach to directly minimize the update step’s objective to avoid linearization errors. For the purpose of performing the steepest descent on the Gaussian manifold, we derive its natural gradient that leverages Fisher information matrix to adjust the gradient direction, accounting for the curvature of the parameter space. Combining this update step with moment matching in the prediction step, we introduce a new iterative filter for nonlinear systems called Natural Gradient Gaussian Approximation filter, or NANO filter for short. We prove that NANO filter locally converges to the optimal Gaussian approximation at each time step. Furthermore, the estimation error is proven exponentially bounded for nearly linear measurement equation and low noise levels through constructing a supermartingale-like property across consecutive time steps. Real-world experiments demonstrate that, compared to popular Gaussian filters such as EKF, UKF, iterated EKF, and posterior linearization filter, NANO filter reduces the average root mean square error by approximate

Holographic multiple-input multiple-output (HMIMO) with a spatially continuous aperture is a promising solution for future radio access to handle the explosively increasing data demands. As a key enabler of HMIMO, the reconfigurable refractive surface (RRS) can serve as an antenna array with numerous programmable radiation elements. In this paper, we consider a multi-user system with an RRS-aided base station (BS) where the transmit signal is refracted by the RRS towards the users. A beamforming scheme is developed via codebook design and beam training. A larger codebook size implies more codewords, each corresponding to a directional beam. When the codebook size increases, the directivity of the refracted beam is enhanced, bringing a higher data rate. However, it also leads to an exponential growth of the training overhead. To achieve the critical tradeoff between the data rate and overhead, we evaluate the system throughput and model the relation between the codebook size of the RRS and the throughput mathematically. The optimal codebook size is then derived given different user distributions. Simulation results verify our theoretical analysis and show the influence of both codebook size and RRS size on the throughput.

2D face images represent faces with incomplete information. 3D face reconstruction from a single 2D image is a challenging problem with application value. The single feature extraction method distorts the generated 3D face image. In this paper, we use contour-based face segmentation method to reconstruct 3D face image. We focus on the edge and contour information of the face when using contour lines to segment the face. Different from the global 3D face reconstruction method, we combine the global and local face information to carry out 3D face reconstruction. Our method: First of all, we do contour segmentation for human faces and extract the features of the segmented images. Second, we learn the local binary features of each keypoint in a complete face image, then combine the features and use linear regression to detect the keypoints. Thirdly, we use Convolutional Neural Networks to learn the regression 3D Morphable Model coefficient and significantly improve the quality and efficiency of reconstruction. We regressed the coefficients of the 3D deformable model from 2D images to present face alignment for 3D face reconstruction. We carry out feature mapping between 2D face and 3D face image, and monitor and verify 3D face model through mapping relationship. Our method can not only reconstruct face images from all angles, but also reduce face deformities. We made face images fit better under different expressions and postures.

Quantum Hall systems host chiral edge states extending along the one-dimensional boundary of any two-dimensional sample. In solid state materials, the edge states serve as perfectly robust transport channels that produce a quantized Hall conductance; due to their chirality, and the topological protection by the Chern number of the bulk band structure, they cannot be spatially localized by defects or disorder. Here, we show experimentally that the chiral edge states of a lossy quantum Hall system can be localized. In a gyromagnetic photonic crystal exhibiting the quantum Hall topological phase, an appropriately structured loss configuration imparts the edge states’ complex energy spectrum with a feature known as point-gap winding. This intrinsically non-Hermitian topological invariant is distinct from the Chern number invariant of the bulk (which remains intact) and induces mode localization via the “non-Hermitian skin effect.” The interplay of the two topological phenomena—the Chern number and point-gap winding—gives rise to a non-Hermitian generalization of the paradigmatic Chern-type bulk-boundary correspondence principle. Compared to previous realizations of the non-Hermitian skin effect, the skin modes in this system have superior robustness against local defects and disorders.

Several constructions of optimal LCD codes over small finite fields

Linear complementary dual (LCD) codes are linear codes which intersect their dual codes trivially, which have been of interest and extensively studied due to their practical applications in computational complexity and information protection. In this paper, we give some methods for constructing LCD codes over small finite fields by modifying some typical methods for constructing linear codes. We show that all odd-like binary LCD codes, ternary LCD codes and quaternary Hermitian LCD codes can be constructed using the modified methods. Our results improve the known lower bounds on the largest minimum distances of LCD codes. Furthermore, we give two counterexamples to disprove the conjecture proposed by Bouyuklieva (Des. IBM Small-Scale Superconducting Quantum Computer Not Gate Error Test

Quantum NOT gates play an important role in the process of quantum information conversion. However, when the X-gate operation is executed on a real quantum computer, there is a large deviation between the actual operation result and the theory, which will lead to inaccurate results when the quantum algorithm containing the X-gate operation is executed. In order to facilitate users to understand the error fluctuations of the X gate in time before executing the quantum algorithm containing the X gate operation on the IBM quantum cloud platform, this paper proposes a method to measure the X gate error. By measuring the X-gate error of four small-scale superconducting quantum computers on the back end of the IBM quantum cloud platform, analyze the degree of fluctuation of the actual measurement value of the quantum device; at the same time, under different execution times shots, the influence of the X-gate test is analyzed. The test results show that the measured value of each qubit of different quantum devices fluctuates to different degrees; the execution times of shots are different, and the test results of X-gate error will be affected to different degrees. This test method helps users select the optimal performance of the qubits before executing quantum algorithms with X gate on IBM's small-scale quantum computers.

Diffusion Magnetic Resonance Imaging (dMRI) plays a crucial role in the noninvasive investigation of tissue microstructural properties and structural connectivity in the in vivo human brain. However, to effectively capture the intricate characteristics of water diffusion at various directions and scales, it is important to employ comprehensive q-space sampling. Unfortunately, this requirement leads to long scan times, limiting the clinical applicability of dMRI. To address this challenge, we propose SSOR, a Simultaneous q-Space sampling Optimization and Reconstruction framework. We jointly optimize a subset of q-space samples using a continuous representation of spherical harmonic functions and a reconstruction network. Additionally, we integrate the unique properties of diffusion magnetic resonance imaging (dMRI) in both the q-space and image domains by applying l1-norm and total-variation *** experiments conducted on HCP data demonstrate that SSOR has promising strengths both quantitatively and qualitatively and exhibits robustness to noise.
