To enhance the convergence capability of grey wolf optimizer (GWO), this research investigates an evolved GWO using weighted-leader strategy (WLS), namely WLSGWO. The key issue of WLS is realizing the adaptive adjustment of position weighting according to the control parameters, thus well overcoming the drawback of premature convergence in the basic GWO. The newly developed method’s performance is assessed through experiments conducted on a standardized test suite. Additionally, comparisons are made by utilizing GWO alongside other advanced optimization techniques. The results of non-parametric studies validate the outperformance of the WLSGWO, thus proving the efficiency of the proposed strategy. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

The task scheduling problem based on directed acyclic graphs (DAGs) has been proven to be NP-complete in general cases or under certain restrictions. In this paper, building upon existing scheduling algorithms, we introduce a static task scheduling algorithm based on directed acyclic graphs. By incorporating the proportion of task transmission delay as a guiding metric in the optimization process, processors can be prioritized for tasks with high latency, thereby improving computational efficiency. We first validate the theoretical feasibility of the algorithm using a theoretical case study and illustrate the algorithmic effectiveness using two real case studies, direct current (DC) model and alternating current (AC) model respectively. The research indicates that the scheduling algorithm proposed in this paper achieves an average scheduling length improvement of over 1.2% compared to the Heterogeneous Earliest-Finish-Time algorithm (HEFT) in topologies with high latency tasks. Additionally, the experiments show that the HEFT algorithm consumes 39.85us and the EMT-DM algorithm consumes 38.29us during simulation using DC, and the HEFT algorithm consumes 31.23us and the EMT-DM algorithm consumes 26.51us during simulation using AC, both of which are improved compared to the HEFT algorithm. © The Author(s) 2025.

In the context of extensive integration of renewable energy sources into the electrical grid, the grid's fault transient behaviors have undergone significant changes. However, conventional single-unit equivalent models fail to accurately capture the fault transient responses of combined wind-solar-hydro power stations and often require substantial computational resources, leading to reduced simulation efficiency. This study proposes a cluster-based equivalent modeling approach for hybrid wind-solar-hydro power plants using the Sparrow Search Algorithm. key factors influencing fault characteristics, including the distance to the Point of Common Coupling, DC-side current-limiting measures, irradiance levels, water flow rates, wind speeds, and reactive power at the outlet, are identified and used to construct a transient model. Euclidean distances are computed for these factors, and initial clustering centers for wind turbines are determined using an improved max–min distance technique. These factors and clustering centers serve as the training dataset to establish the clustering equivalent model. simulation results, conducted on the MATLAB2022 platform, demonstrate that the SSA-based model outperforms the single-unit equivalent model by over 150 times in terms of accuracy. Additionally, the SSA-based model achieves a delay time, defined as the time required to compute the system's transient response after a fault, of less than 5 ms, which is less than one-twentieth of the delay time of the single-unit equivalent model. These improvements highlight the model's ability to accurately capture dynamic power responses under various disturbances, making it highly suitable for real-time applications in hybrid renewable energy systems. © The Author(s) 2025.

Generally,the interaction between the East Asian subtropical westerly jet(EASWJ)and the East Asian summer monsoon(EASM)is regarded as a critical dynamic factor in the evolution of precipitation patterns in *** simulation results from the transient climate evolution since the last glacial maximum,this study applies the multivariate empirical orthogonal function(MVEOF)analysis method to investigate the co-evolution relationships of the EASWJ and the EASM during the early,middle,and late Holocene,as well as their influence on precipitation patterns in *** results indicate that all the first MVEOF modes in different time periods of the Holocene display an out-of-phase relationship in the intensity anomaly between the EASWJ and the ***,the jet stream is wider and more tilted in the late *** the influence of secondary circulations formed during their co-evolution,a north-south dipolar precipitation pattern in eastern China(“flood in the south and drought in the north”or“drought in the south and flood in the north”)and an east-west dipolar pattern in northern China(“wet in the west and dry in the east”or“wet in the east and dry in the west”)are found in the early and middle Holocene,while in the late Holocene a regionally-consistent precipitation pattern is witnessed across the whole *** this mode,the precipitation in the middle and late Holocene is primarily dominated by trend *** second MVEOF mode reveals that the EASM weakens when the EASWJ shifts eastward and the jet steam axis shortens during the early Holocene,resulting in a north-south dipolar precipitation pattern in eastern China and a regionally-consistent pattern in northern *** the middle Holocene,dipolar precipitation patterns are also observed in both eastern China and northern China when the EASWJ moves northward and the EASM strengthens,while the moisture condition in North China is less pronounced,and vice *** the late Holocene,the intensity anomali

Nanomaterials are extensively utilized in a multitude of sectors, but their propensity to aggregate can considerably diminish the efficacy of functional materials. A pivotal challenge in this domain is achieving a homogenous distribution of nanomaterials, which is essential for enhancing their performance while also reducing production costs. In this work, we achieve uniform and stable dispersion of various nanomaterials through the confinement effect generated by the stereocomplex cross-linked network formed by the combination of poly (L-lactic) acid and poly (D-lactic) acid. The unique confinement effect of polylactic acid (PLA) isomers is universal and significantly enhances the dispersion of nanomaterials in both PLA solutions and films. To demonstrate the efficacy of our approach, we disperse aggregation-induced emission (AIE) molecules within PLA, which leads to the production of PLA films exhibiting improved fluorescence property. This work provides an effective solution for the preparation of nanocomposite materials that are both high-performing and cost-efficient. © 2025

Online Optimization to Suppress the Grid-Injected Power Deviation of Wind Farms with Battery-Hydrogen Hybrid Energy Storage systems

To address the issue of coordinated control of multiple hydrogen and battery storage units to suppress the grid-injected power deviation of wind farms,an online optimization strategy for Battery-hydrogen hybrid energy storage systems based on measurement feedback is ***,considering the high charge/discharge losses of hydrogen storage and the low energy density of battery storage,an operational optimization objective is established to enable adaptive energy adjustment in the Battery-hydrogen hybrid energy storage ***,an online optimization model minimizing the operational cost of the hybrid system is constructed to suppress grid-injected power deviations with satisfying the operational constraints of hydrogen storage and ***,utilizing the online measurement of the energy states of hydrogen storage and batteries,an online optimization strategy based on measurement feedback is *** study results show:before and after smoothing the fluctuations in wind power,the time when the power exceeded the upper and lower limits of the grid-injected power accounted for 24.1%and 1.45%of the total time,respectively,the proposed strategy can effectively keep the grid-injected power deviations of wind farms within the allowable *** storage and batteries respectively undertake long-term and short-term charge/discharge tasks,effectively reducing charge/discharge losses of the Battery-hydrogen hybrid energy storage systems and improving its operational efficiency.

To address the frequent failure issues caused by defects in the buffer layer of high-voltage cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) cables, research on buffer layer has become a hot topic at present. This paper first introduces the input impedance model of the 66 kV cable buffer layer and the corrugated aluminum sheath. The water content can change its resistance and capacitance, thereby affecting the resistivity and dielectric constant. Secondly, the paper introduces the intrinsic principles of frequency domain dielectric spectroscopy technology, where changes in water content alter the relaxation time of the Debye model, thereby changing the dielectric loss factor. Then, by conducting resistance and capacitance measurement experiments on a 6 cm long cable buffer layer, the paper derives the resistivity and dielectric constant variation curves. Through dielectric loss factor measurement experiments, it derives the dielectric loss factor curve, demonstrating the correlation between water content and the dielectric loss factor. The paper concludes that the dielectric loss factor curve is more sensitive to insulation conditions at low frequencies. © Beijing Paike Culture Commu. Co., Ltd. 2025.

Long-term operation or external forces may cause damage to the outer sheath of the cable, allowing moisture to enter the cable body and affecting the insulation and dielectric performance of the main XLPE insulation of the cable. For 66 kV cables, there are no clear values provided for the changes in the dielectric loss tangent and capacitance after water ingress into the main insulation. Using a self-built experimental platform, dielectric spectroscopy curves were plotted for the main insulation under 1 kV voltage, showing the variation of the dielectric loss tangent with water content and frequency. The unit capacitance changes of the main insulation due to moisture were also measured. The study indicates that at 0.01 Hz, when the water content in the main insulation increases from 0.86% to 1.29%, the dielectric loss tangent value changes by several times. Additionally, this value is not affected by the location of the moisture—whether it is accumulated, evenly distributed, or symmetrically distributed, the dielectric loss tangent remains unchanged. When the volumetric water content increases by 0.48%, the unit capacitance value increases by 0.8%. © Beijing Paike Culture Commu. Co., Ltd. 2025.
