Robust fully spin-polarized nodal chain in 3D metal-organic framework

The identification of fully spin-polarized topological phases in magnetic inorganic materials has attracted significant *** this study,through first-principles calculations,we characterize CrCl2(pyz)2,a metal-organic framework(MOF),as a nodal chain *** results reveal a ferromagnetic ground state in this material,presenting as a half-metal with a single spin channel near the Fermi ***-ically,the spin-down states form a nodal chain close to the Fermi level,consisting of three nodal loops protected by glide mirror symmetry on distinct ***,fully spin-polarized drumhead sur-face states corresponding to these nodal loops are identified on the material's ***,we observe the persistence of the fully spin-polarized nodal chain even when tuning the ligand rotation an-gle of the ***,our investigation delves into the influence of spin-orbit coupling(SOC)on the system,revealing that it has minimal impact on the nodal *** robustness of the nodal chain in the presence of SOC underscores its intriguing and resilient nature,indicating its potential utility in various electronic ***,the robust realization of a fully spin-polarized nodal chain in this magnetic MOF system holds promise for applications in the realm of spintronics.

Wearable devices,such as data gloves and electronic skins,can perceive human instructions,behaviors and even emotions by tracking a hand's motion,with the help of knowledge *** shape or position single-mode sensor in such devices often lacks comprehensive information to perceive interactive ***,the limited computing power of wearable applications restricts the multimode fusion of different sensing data and the deployment of deep learning *** propose a perceptive fusion electronic skin(PFES)with a bioinspired hierarchical structure that utilizes the magnetization state of a magnetostrictive alloy film to be sensitive to external strain or magnetic *** at the joints of a hand,the PFES realizes perception of curvature(joint shape)and magnetism(joint position)information by mapping corresponding signals to the two-directional continuous distribution such that the two edges represent the contributions of curvature radius and magnetic field,*** autonomously selecting knowledge closer to the user's hand movement characteristics,the reinforced knowledge distillation method is developed to learn and compress a teacher model for rapid deployment on wearable *** PFES integrating the autonomous learning algorithm can fuse curvature-magnetism dual information,ultimately achieving human machine interaction with gesture recognition and haptic feedback for cross-space perception and manipulation.

Machine learning for parameters diagnosis of spark discharge by electro-acoustic signal

Discharge plasma parameter measurement is a key focus in low-temperature plasma *** diagnostics often require costly equipment,whereas electro-acoustic signals provide a rich,non-invasive,and less complex source of discharge *** study harnesses machine learning to decode these *** establishes links between electro-acoustic signals and gas discharge parameters,such as power and distance,thus streamlining the prediction *** building a spark discharge platform to collect electro-acoustic signals and implementing a series of acoustic signal processing techniques,the Mel-Frequency Cepstral Coefficients(MFCCs)of the acoustic signals are extracted to construct the *** machine learning models(Linear Regression,k-Nearest Neighbors,and Random Forest)are introduced and applied to the predictors to achieve real-time rapid diagnostic measurement of typical spark discharge power and discharge *** models display impressive performance in prediction precision and fitting *** them,the k-Nearest Neighbors model shows the best performance on discharge power prediction with the lowest mean square error(MSE=0.00571)and the highest R-squared value(R^(2)=0.93877).The experimental results show that the relationship between the electro-acoustic signal and the gas discharge power and distance can be effectively constructed based on the machine learning algorithm,which provides a new idea and basis for the online monitoring and real-time diagnosis of plasma parameters.

A decoupled method for time-dependent reliability-based design optimization

Time-dependent reliability-based design optimization(TRBDO)has received extensive attention because of its ability to achieve optimal solutions that help meet the requirement for whole lifecycle reliability by quantitatively considering dynamic ***,directly solving TRBDO problems is computationally expensive,if not prohibitive,owing to the need to repeatedly evaluate time-dependent probabilistic *** address this challenge,an efficient decoupled method called sequential optimization and time-dependent reliability assessment(SOTRA)is proposed in this *** method transforms the original TRBDO problem,initially formulated probabilistically,into a problem using percentile formulation after discretizing time-dependent performance *** adopting the equivalent minimum performance target point(EMPTP)concept,the TRBDO problem is further converted into an equivalent deterministic optimization problem,which is subsequently solved through a sequential iteration process involving deterministic optimization and time-dependent reliability *** efficiently and robustly search an EMPTP for reliability analysis,a time-dependent self-adaptive finite-step length method is *** verify the proposed SOTRA method against existing TRBDO methods,a numerical example,a benchmark structural design case of a simply supported beam,and an engineering application for flexible wheel design are exemplified in this *** results demonstrate that the proposed SOTRA method exhibits high efficiency and robustness in solving TRBDO problems.

A Novel On-Site-Real-Time Method for Identifying Characteristic Parameters Using Ultrasonic Echo Groups and Neural Network

On-site and real-time non-destructive measurement of elastic constants for materials of a component in a in-service structure is a challenge due to structural complexities,such as ambiguous boundary,variable thickness,nonuniform material *** work develops for the first time a method that uses ultrasound echo groups and artificial neural network(ANN)for reliable on-site real-time identification of material *** use of echo groups allows the use of lower frequencies,and hence more accommodative to structural *** train the ANNs,a numerical model is established that is capable of computing the waveform of ultrasonic echo groups for any given set of material properties of a given *** waveform of an ultrasonic echo groups at an interest location on the surface the structure with material parameters varying in a predefined range are then computed using the numerical *** results in a set of dataset for training the ANN *** the ANN is trained,the material parameters can be identified simultaneously using the actual measured echo waveform as input to the *** tests have been conducted both numerically and experimentally to evaluate the effectiveness and accuracy of the currently proposed *** results show that the maximum identification error of numerical example is less than 2%,and the maximum identification error of experimental test is less than 7%.Compared with currently prevailing methods and equipment,the proposefy the density and thickness,in addition to the elastic ***,the reliability and accuracy of inverse prediction is significantly ***,it has broad applications and enables real-time field measurements,which has not been fulfilled by any other available methods or equipment.

High-precision tip positioning composite feedforward control of linear colocated motion systems with Bi-Loop iterative feedforward tuning

To enhance the tip positioning accuracy and robustness against disturbances of linear colocated motion systems,a novel composite feedforward(COMFF)control with Bi-Loop iterative feedforward tuning(IFFT)is *** tip positioning error consists of the coupled tip residual vibration and linear motor tracking *** the influence of nonlinear friction and load flexibility,the topology of COMFF is designed as decoupled structures so that COMFF can suppress the tip residual vibration and compensate for the linear motor tracking error ***,Bi-Loop IFFT is built to improve the robustness of COMFF in high-precision motor tracking *** the state space of the linear motor tracking error based on the projection theorem,two loops are performed in parallel along the iteration *** is the P-type iteration loop that drives linear motor tracking errors to converge to the zero *** other is the observation loop constructed by the recursive least square with forgetting factors to accelerate the P-type iteration *** by the P-type iteration loop with the aid of the observation loop,the proposed COMFF is integrated with fast convergence and high robustness when confronted with model *** effectiveness of the proposed COMFF combined with Bi-Loop IFFT is validated by experiments.

Upcycling waste protein and heavy metal into single-atom catalytic gas diffusion electrode for CO_(2)reduction

The global production of organic wastes and heavy metals(HMs)poses significant environmental risks,along with considerable carbon emissions from waste *** highlights the significance of synergistic management of both wastes and CO_(2),which is a vital strategy for mitigating environmental pollution and climate ***,we employed waste protein from wastewater produced during soybean peptide(SP)processing as a carbon matrix to anchor HMs Ni from electroplating *** mixture was electrospun into a gas diffusion electrode(GDE).This unique GDE design eliminates the need for a separate gas diffusion layer(GDL)and simplifies catalyst *** versatile GDE consists of nanofibers with uniformly dispersed Ni single atom catalysts(SACs)on the fiber ***,boasts a porous structure that facilitates CO_(2)diffusion and *** homogeneous distribution of Ni SACs within the GDE fosters high activity in the electrochemical conversion of CO_(2)to *** 50 mA/cm^(2)and 2.5 V cell voltage,Ni SACs achieved an excellent Faradaic efficiency of 81%-98%in a membrane electrode assembly(MEA).This technique holds a promise in achieving the collaborative management of carbon mitigation and wastes recovery.

Insight into slag-enhanced thermal desorption at the organo-mineral interface of clay soils

Multiple active components in steel slags can optimize soil texture and catalyze the thermal desorption of refractory organic pollutants,especially polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons （PAHs）.In this study,a safety and risk assessment was conducted on toxic metals present in collected steel slags,and the refining slag with a high content of free-Ca O from the XG iron and steel plant （XGRS） was selected and used to regulate the plasticity index （PI） of clay *** the clay soil with high liquid limit and high plasticity （CH）,the PI reduced from 34.3% to 24.8% with steel slags at an addition ratio of 10%（mass percent）,and for the clay soil with low liquid limit （CL）,the PI decreased from 22.8% to 16.5%,resulting in silt soil with optimal thermal *** thermal removal efficiency of PAHs in CH decreased from 81.9% to 74.0% at 350°C as the soil water content increased from 0 to 150 g kg-1,due to the hydration and swelling of clay minerals and the heat loss associated with dehydroxylation and *** efficiency further decreased to 68.7% using 2%（mass percent） Ca O as an additive due to the delayed dehydr（oxyl）ation of clay minerals and enhanced aromatization of soil organic *** contrast,addition of 2% high-content titania-bearing slag （HTBS） enhanced the removal efficiency of high-ring PAHs,with the efficiency increasing for 5-ring from 52.6% to 59.7% and for 6-ring from 76.6% to 81.8%.This is due to the presence of amorphous TiO2and crystalline CaTiO3in HTBS,which can degrade water to produce reactive oxygen *** 2% XGRS addition facilitated the complete removal of PAHs by air-supplemented lattice oxygen,leading to the oxidation of C–C bonds in CH to C–O,C=O,and O–C=O functional *** study provides valuable insights into the use of additives to enhance the thermal remediation of PAH-contaminated clay soils via activating oxygen species and oxidizing C–C bonds in organo-mineral complexes within clay soils.
