Recently,experimental studies on the soft landing of RE current by ohmic(OH)field have been performed in J-TEXT tokamak,as a possible auxiliary method to dissipate the RE *** optimized horizontal displacement control of the RE beam,the toroidal electric field has been scanned from 1.6 to—0.3 V m^-1 during the RE plateau *** growth rate of RE currents and the evolution of hard x-ray(HXR)emissions have been *** is found that when the toroidal electric field is less than 7-12 times the theoretical critical electric field,the decay of REs could be *** dissipation rate by the ohmic field can reach a maximum value of 3 MA s^-***,the results of HXR spectra analysis indicate the different behaviors of HXR emissions under the condition of different toroidal electric *** analysis of the ionized argon emissions and magnetic fluctuations shows that under the condition of different toroidal electric fields,the physical process of RE generation may be different.

Digital simulation is an essential part of supporting the safe and stable operation of power systems. One of the most crucial processes is to make the control decision table after a large amount of transient stability simulation. This process requires to be able to accurately distinguish between the transient (rotor angle) instability and short-term voltage instability. This paper proposes a fast shapelet learning method to extract features from the original voltage and rotor angle curves and then classify them through a machine learning (ML) model. Shapelet learning is a powerful data mining method, which can be used to extract hidden explainable information from power system time-domain simulation data. To overcome the huge time complexity of the shapelet transformation method, a genetic algorithm is applied to speed up the solution procedure. A case study is conducted on an 8-machine 36-bus system, and the simulation result indicates that the proposed method is with high explainability and fast learning speed.

Recent observations of the successive formations of the 4/1, 3/1, and 2/1 magnetic islands as well as the subsequent braking of the 2/1 mode during a low-Z impurity penetration process in EAST experiments are well reproduced in our 3D resistive MHD simulations. The enhanced parallel current perturbation induced by impurity radiation predominately contributes to the tearing mode growth, and the 2/1 island rotation is mainly damped by the impurity accumulation as results of the influence from high n modes. Using pulse thyristor as the discharge switch, a capacitive pulsed power supply main discharge circuit is designed for the requirements of the pulsed xenon lamp in the laser inertial confinement fusion(ICF) device. The use of capacitor charging and discharging modular integrated method and synchronous triggering of multiple sets of thyristors enables high current output of the pulsed power supply, which can avoid excessive current flow through the thyristors and eliminate current-sharing measures of the thyristors. Applying the fast switching MOSFET and magnetic induction of pulse transformer, a set of high gate trigger system is developed to control the synchronous conduction of the thyristors of each module. Practical operation indicates that the pulse power supply can provide specific required pulse current and energy for the pulsed xenon lamp. © 2020 IEEE.

The voltage polarity and structural design of the pulsed power module are the key factors affecting the dielectric strength. In a vacuum environment, the voltage polarity of the pulse power module is different, and the flashover voltage is also different, and there is a significant polarity effect. After analysis, the cathode field emission and the gas desorption of the insulating material are the main reasons for the surface breakdown voltage of the negative-point positive plate electrode being lower than the surface breakdown voltage of the positive-point negative plate. To verify this conclusion, a needle-plate electrode vacuum breakdown experiment was designed. The internal electric field distribution of the pulse power module was calculated by COMSOL software. At the same time, the module vacuum breakdown experiment was designed. The simulation and experimental results show that the vacuum breakdown voltage of the pulse power supply module can be effectively improved by positively charging the electrode with smaller curvature radius and increasing the curvature radius of the inner electrode of the power supply module.

Based on the modeling of the structural parameters of the 550kV high coupled split reactor, the electromagnetic coupling method are used to establish the 3D mechanical stress and thermal stress calculation model of the high coupled split reactor, and the mechanical stress and thermal stress distribution characteristics of the overall and encapsulation of the high coupled split reactors are studied. The simulation results of this paper show that: the direction of the electric power in the single arm current limiting is mainly distributed axially symmetrically outward, and symmetrically about the middle of the vertical height, the radial force from the inside to outer encapsulation is gradually reduced, and the outermost side has a weaker contrat tendency. In general, each encapsulation has an outward expansion tendency. At the same time, the temperature distribution of the high coupled split reactor shows that the upper region is higher than the lower region, and the intermediate encapsulation is higher than the encapsulation trend of the two sides. The highest hot spot temperature is 10-cated in the upper region of the middle of the high coupled split reactor. The research results provide a theoretical basis for the design and optimization of the 550kV high coupled split reactor test scheme. © 2020 IEEE.

Multipolar Structure of Equilibrium Shear Flow Field in Toroidal Plasmas

The multipolar velocity field structures are investigated by 2D momentum conservation equation with 3D equilibrium sheared flows in the full toroidal system. Numerical results show that the non-existence of radial velocity field in equilibrium surfaces is suitable only for the zero-order term of our 2D simulation. The non-zero-order radial velocity field is still preserved, even when converted to conventional magnetic surface coordinates. The distribution of velocity field vectors of the order of 1, 2, and 3 are presented respectively in 2, 4, and 6 polar fields with the local vortex structure. The excitation mechanisms of these velocity vortices are the coupling effects of the magneto-fluid structure patterns and the toroidal effects. These results can help us understand the complexity of core physics, the transverse transport across magnetic field by the radial plasma flow and the formation of velocity vortices.

There has been significant interest in exploring topological disclination states, which effectively probe the band topology of the host material beyond the conventional bulk-edge correspondence. While most studies in this area have primarily focused on Hermitian systems, recent theoretical work predicts that non-Hermiticity can drive topological phase transitions and host topological disclination states associated with fractional charge. However, no experimental observations have been reported to date. Here, we report the first experimental observation of topological disclination states in electric circuits, induced solely by gain and loss. Through admittance matrix measurements and eigenstate analysis, we confirm their emergence and compute the corresponding fractional charge. Moreover, the disclination mode profile and localization effect can be directly visualized via monochromatic field excitation. Additionally, we demonstrate the emergence of degenerate zero-energy topological disclination states, devoid of fractional charge, in distinct non-Hermitian geometries. Our findings open the possibility of non-Hermiticity-induced fractional charges in two-dimensional non-Hermitian lattices, which may pave the way for advancements in active topological photonic devices. © 2025, CC BY.
