With the development of distribution automation system, the centralized meter reading system has been adopted more and more extensively, which provides real-time electricity consumption data of end-users, and consequently lays foundation for operating condition on-line analysis of distribution network. In this paper, a modified back/forward sweep method, which directly uses real-time electricity consumption data acquired from the centralized meter reading system, is proposedto realize voltage analysis based on 24-hour electricity consumption data of a typical transformer district. Furthermore, the calculated line losses are verified through data collected from the energy metering of the distribution transformer, illustrating that the proposed method can be applied in analyzing voltage level and discovering unknown energy losses, which will lay foundation for on-line analysis, calculation and monitoring of power distribution network.

In this paper, a pulsed-dc CH;OH/Ar plasma jet generated at atmospheric pressure is studied by laser-induced fluorescence(LIF) and optical emission spectroscopy(OES). A gas–liquid bubbler system is proposed to introduce the methanol vapor into the argon gas, and the CH3OH/Ar volume ratio is kept constant at about 0.1%. Discharge occurs in a 6-mm needle-to-ring gap in an atmospheric-pressure CH;OH/Ar mixture. The space-resolved distributions of OH LIF inside and outside the nozzle exhibit distinctly different behaviors. And, different production mechanisms of OH radicals in the needle-to-ring discharge gap and afterglow of plasma jet are discussed. Besides, the optical emission lines of carbonaceous species, such as CH, CN, and C;radicals, are identified in the CH;OH/Ar plasma jet. Finally, the influences of operating parameters(applied voltage magnitude, pulse frequency, pulsewidth) on the OH radical density are also presented and analyzed.

In order to optimize aircraft performance and decrease operating and maintenance costs, traditional aircraft is moving towards a more electric aircraft. Moreover, integrated starting/generating system is one of the key components in a more electric aircraft. To determine whether starting/generating system meets the intended requirements, it is necessary to test the system. Herein, this paper is going to present a power converter-based test platform to replace traditional test benches for the considerations of flexibility, costs and safety. Firstly, applications and advantages of power converter-based test platform are illustrated. Secondly, the structure of power converter-based starting/generating system emulator is proposed. Next, operating principle of the emulator is comprehensively illustrated. Finally, MATLAB/Simulink based simulation model is build up to evaluate the proposed power electronics emulator for both starting and generating performance. The simulation results can support the working principle of the power electronics emulator and could be used for prototype development.
