To investigate the anti-welding performance of Nanocrystalline CuCr25, Microcrystalline CuCr25 material was set as comparison group, electrical endurance tests were conducted in the vacuum analog device under the condition of 42V/10A DC. Then the contact surface degradation is analyzed by using FESEM. Experimental result indicates that Nano-contacts have better anti-welding performance than Micro-contacts. The Variation tendency of break arc duration is summarized, and the mechanism of that Nano-contacts have better anti-welding performance is discussed from different aspects, including surface morphology and the elements analysis of the fusion zones.

In order to study how parameters of CVT affect the phase angle difference between Voltage of Metering Port and Bus Voltage, an EMTP model with actual parameters of a 220kV CVT was established to simulate how some parameters affect the phase angle difference, such as value of voltagedividing capacitors and its dielectric loss, ratio of transformer, coil turns of compensation reactor and the load. The result is shown as followed: (1) The increasing dielectric loss of high voltage capacitor will make phase angle difference decrease significantly, while the increasing dielectric loss of medium voltage capacitor will make phase angle difference increase significantly;(2) Decrease of the ratio of transformer will make phase angle difference increase a little;(3) Increase of capacity and power factor of load will make phase angle difference decrease. These results are available to CVT testing online.

Cascaded-Multilevel STATCOM (CM-STATCOM) is of great development potential in reactive power compensation device. But it consists of large number of semiconductor devices which significant increases the simulation time in electromagnetic transient simulation program. This paper proposes an efficient model of CM-STATCOM based on Dommel algorithm, which replaces the arm circuit with Thevenin equivalent circuit and numerical calculation block. This paper also introduces ideal switching devices to reduce computation quantity in calculation block. The proposed model that preserves the individual identity of H-bridge and interface to control system is of wide applicability and high accuracy. Besides, the size of nodal admittance matrix is reduced by several orders of magnitude so that the simulation time is reduced drastically. The proposed model is validated in PSCAD/EMTDC under different condition by comparisons with traditional model.

This paper presents an optimal design of interior permanent magnet synchronous machine (IPMSM) for electric spindle considering the flux-barrier shape. Four types of flux-barrier are discussed and compared to improve torque performance, which includes the average torque, torque ripple and cogging torque. The design process is accomplished by using finite element method (FEM). Moreover, the Taguchi method is taken into practice in this paper as a proposed optimal method. The simulation results will be theoretically discussed and analyzed. Finally, prototype machines are being fabricated, and the validity of the proposed design will be confirmed by experiments.

Vernier permanent magnet (VPM) machines are obtaining more and more attentions due to their high torque density and low torque ripple in recent years. However, they suffer from low power factor compared with conventional PM machines. In this paper, a triple-rotor axial-flux spoke-array vernier permanent magnet (TR-AFSAVPM) machine is proposed to improve the power factor of conventional VPM machines to a reasonable level as well as maintaining high torque density and adequate speed range. Both Quasi-3D finite element Analysis (FEA) and 3D-FEA are employed to investigate the performances, such as power factor, torque density and torque ripple of the proposed machine.

In this paper, a novel vernier reluctance fully superconducting synchronous generator (FSCSG) with low temperature superconductors (LTS) for wind power application is proposed. The feature of this superconducting generator is an external rotor structure, and both the superconducting armature windings and DC field windings are in the inner stationary stator. Thus, compared with the existing FSCSFGs, the cryostat and related refrigerate system of the proposed generator is greatly simplified. Besides, the results shows that the torque density is about 37% higher and the torque ripple is as low as 6.9% without any optimization and skewed.
