In order to increase the input and output voltage range of the energy storage system, this paper will conduct in-depth research on the modulation strategy of the bidirectional DC/DC module of the energy storage system. In this paper, the LLC resonant converter with bidirectional operation is used as the connection port between the battery and the DC bus in the energy storage system. The working principle of this topology and the commonly used modulation strategies are briefly described, and then the hybrid modulation strategy is analyzed in detail, which can ensure the normal operation of the DC bus voltage in the range of 310V to 380V. The correctness and effectiveness of the strategy are verified by experiments. © 2022 IEEE.

The random access of the microgrids (MGs) to distribution network and disordered operation will result in high network loss. Aiming at this problem, a double-loop cooperative optimization strategy for optimizing network loss is proposed. This strategy builds an optimization model based on MGs with electric vehicles (EVs) and renewable energy sources (RES). The inner-loop model reconfigures the network structure of MGs through optimization to reduce the basic network loss of the MGs. The outer-loop model optimizes the node location of the MG accessed to the distribution network in the MGs to reduce the increased network loss. The inner-loop and outer-loop synergistically reduce the total network loss of the MGs. Particle swarm optimization (PSO) is used to solve the model. Finally, four simulation cases are used to prove the rationality and feasibility of the proposed strategy. © 2022 IEEE.

With the inherent advantages of material, SiC MOSFET is promising in many applications. There is much research on failure analysis of SiC MOSFET under extreme conditions. A comprehensive review is critical to provide reference for weak locations of chip in device design or application stage. Under three types of extreme conditions of high temperature, high frequency and irradiation, the failure mechanism and mode, characterization, withstand capability and factors affecting reliability are reviewed in detail. The analysis of failure mechanism can provide a basis for chip designers to improve chip performance for specific operating conditions, and provide device users with advice on circuit design. A clear safe working area allows practitioners to maximize the performance of the device. The application of flywheel energy storage device is limited owing to its complex structure, high cost and low reliability of magnetic bearings. This paper presents a novel topology structure of the stator excitation solid rotor machine (SE-SRM) for flywheel energy storage system, which integrates flywheel, motor and axial magnetic bearing, with the advantages of high integration, compact structure and high reliability. Firstly, the basic structure and work principle of the SE-SRM were introduced. Secondly, because of the complex geometry of the motor, which is difficult to design and optimize through finite element directly, the magnetic network model was established for modeling and analyzing to improve the design efficiency, and a new method for solving the Carter's coefficient for sinusoidal slot rotors was proposed. Finally, the results of finite element model and no-load experiment of prototype were compared and analyzed, and the correctness of the magnetic network model is proved. © 2022 IEEE.

In the case of pulse load, the power supply is constantly switched from no-load to full-load, which would cause the output voltage to fluctuate. In order to reduce the voltage fluctuation and improve the dynamic performance, a nonlinear control method is proposed in this paper. When the voltage change is detected, the control strategy is changed to switch between burst control and PFM control. The proposed control strategy is verified on a 2.5kW LLC prototype. The experimental results demonstrated that the output voltage drops, overshoots and settling time are reduced over the SOTC control method. It shows that the control strategy has a good effect in the pulse load application. © 2022 IEEE.

Developing a stable,reliable,and industrially compatible method to control hydrophobicity is crucial for separation,transportation,and the generation of special *** e-HMS-PDMS silica gel nanoparticle coating was prepared using a two-step electron beam irradiation(EBI)process,consisting of(i)grafting of two organic groups onto thiol-functionalized hollow mesoporous silica(HMS-SH)with 10 MeV EBI and(ii)curing of polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS)onto silicone rubber using the HMS hybrid materials prepared in step i as an additive with 200 keV *** tuneable grafting of functional groups and the surface properties of the silica,which was embedded in the PDMS layer,allowed us to precisely control the hydrophilicity of the PDMS layer by means of altering the grafting gradient of the silica and the loading ratio of the monomers.A diverse range of vinyl-structured monomers can be used in this method,and the selection of suitable monomers is vital in determining the physical properties of the coating *** hydrophilicity of the coating can be linearly controlled within a specific range(50°to 155°)by using suitable monomers,allowing for the design of surfaces with specific hydrophilic and hydrophobic requirements.

In order to achieve carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals, electron beam curing has broad application prospects in the field of modern coatings due to its green efficiency and no need for photoinitiators. The current electron beam curing devices are usually aimed at flat materials, such as thin films, wood boards and other materials, and there are few studies on electron beam curing for curved materials. In this paper, the surface radiation curing algorithm is studied, and the feasibility of the algorithm is verified by simulation, which opens up a new application prospect for the field of electron beam curing. © 2022 IEEE.

Beam energy is one of the main parameters of the irradiation accelerator. In this paper, a novel electron collecting device for real-time beam energy monitoring is proposed. The measurable range of the energy measurement equipment was estimated for different structural characteristics using FLUKA. The errors induced by the operation of the monitoring device and the parameters of the measured accelerator during the measurement were also investigated. The simulation results show that the thicker the upper plate, the larger the observable energy range, and increasing the sidewall height increases the measured energy range even more. The error caused by the energy divergence of the Gaussian distribution is less than 2.5%. The measurement results can only represent the placement height within ±5 cm. The placement position cannot deviate from the center position ±5 cm. This research provides a reference for the design and error analysis of beam energy measurement devices. © 2022 IEEE.

The unbalanced magnetic pull (UMP) brings an additional electromagnetic vibration and a decreased life time to the permanent magnet synchronous machines (PMSMs). In this digest, a 6-phase PMSMs with different winding structures is researched in order to investigate the influence of the winding structure on the UMP. The UMP forced on the 6-phase PMSM is analyzed through both the analytical method and the finite element method (FEM). It is found that the circulation current in the parallel branches will restrain the UMP that induced by the manufacturing errors, such as the eccentricity and magnetization error. It is also found that some high frequency UMP harmonics will be induced if the parallel branches in the winding are asymmetrically distributed. © 2022 IEEE.

The traditional control strategies for brushless doubly-fed induction generator (BDFIG) operating in standalone mode are without satisfactory dynamic performance under heavy load disturbance. This paper proposes a new dual-converter cooperative compensation strategy, which adopts the machine-side converter (MSC) and the load-side converter (LSC) to compensate for the changes in the power winding (PW) active and reactive currents, respectively. As a result, the dual-converter cooperative compensation strategy can make full use of the redundant capacity of MSC and LSC to compensate for the load disturbance. The proposed strategy is verified on the 3-kVA BDFIG experimental platform with heavy load disturbance at typical operation speeds. © 2022 IEEE.
