The weak grid has gradually become the conventional working environment for the existing distributed energy sources, and the instability caused by the interaction between the grid and the inverter has drawn much attention. For the actual grid- connected system, there are two significant control methods. One is the resonant controller, used to reduce the harmonics for the quality of grid current. The other is the grid voltage feedforward strategy, which is quite important for system stability and no inrush start-up. However, the system might become unstable if these two strategies are used together, since the grid voltage feedforward will cause the loss of phase margin at the resonant frequency of resonant controller. Therefore, a band-stop feedforward strategy is proposed to solve this contradiction while balancing the advantages of these two important strategies, which is carefully designed based on the sequence impedance model. An experimental platform is built to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Radio Frequency Fingerprinting Identification (RFFI) leverages inherent discrepancies in radiation source hardware, which are challenging to mimic and counterfeit. This attribute enhances the security of wireless networks and ensures the protection of data privacy, vital for secure communications. Inherent challenges such as channel fading and frequency drift affect radio signals. This paper explores the synergy between Automatic Modulation Recognition (AMR) and RFFI by employing a multi-label dataset to strategically influence the relationship between signal labels and individual radiation sources. We propose an advanced multi-gate mixture-of-experts convolutional neural network model, the MMOE-CNN-Transformer, which operates within a multi-task soft sharing framework. Our empirical results reveal that this model significantly enhances RFFI classification accuracy, particularly at a 0dB signal-to-noise ratio, outperforming traditional single-task learning (STL) approaches and surpassing the efficacy of hard sharing architectures, exemplified by the Shared-Bottom model. This paper proposes a modular auxiliary resonant commutated pole (MARCP) inverter. The MARCP inverter eliminates the need for a connection to the DC bus or midpoint potential and has the same resonant branch for each phase, which enables its modular combination with any phase of inverters. During the operation of the proposed MARCP inverter, resonant currents are constructed in the commutation front through the voltage difference between the three bridge arms, which makes all the bridge arms resonantly commutated at the commutation-aligned moment. After commutation, resonant currents feedback to the power source. All the switches of the MARCP inverter can achieve soft-switching or pseudosoft-switching during the full switching period. In this paper, the effectiveness of the proposed topology and control method is verified by simulation. Compared with the auxiliary resonant commutated pole (ARCP) inverter, the MARCP inverter eliminates the coupling inductor or voltage dividing capacitor, which reduces the device requirement and size of the inverter. Furthermore, the main circuit and resonant circuit of the MARCP inverter are independent of each other, which is convenient for repairing and converting the hard-switching to soft-switching.

A Distributed Coordinated Control Strategy for Large-Scale Thermostatically Controlled Loads Considering User Comfort Constraints

Thermostatically controlled loads (TCLs) on the demand side have been a vital energy resource in smart grids. To efficiently utilize the large-scale TCLs and enhance the flexibility of micro-community systems, this paper proposes a distributed coordinated control strategy based on the distributed model predictive control (MPC). To achieve the adaptive coordinated control among TCLs and consider user comfort constraints, a distributed dual-layer internal control strategy based on MPC is established on a scalable communication network. This strategy achieves the efficient utilization of TCLs in a distributed manner and notably improves the convergence speed through sparse network communication between neighbors. For external resource utilization of TCLs, a multi-timescale scheduling framework is proposed to realize the pre-allocation of electricity. Furthermore, the feasibility of the proposed distributed coordinated control strategy is confirmed through comparative case analysis.

Under the background of carbon peaking, carbon neutrality and integrated development of transportation and energy, and in view of the current situation of high emission and high energy consumption in expressway service area (ESA), an optimization operation model of integrated energy system (IES) including gas turbine, wind, photovoltaic, energy storage system and hydrogen is established with the lowest system operation cost and energy purchase cost as the objective function, which introduces power to gas and fuel cell to achieve bidirectional coupling of electricity and hydrogen. Then this paper takes a large expressway service area in the northwest of China as an example and sets different scenarios for example analysis. The simulation results show that the total operation cost of the system is greatly reduced and the utilization rate of renewable energy is effectively increased, which indicate that the proposed model can improve the system operation economy, green and low carbon development, and diverse interactivity while meeting the energy requirements of electricity and hydrogen in expressway service area. It has significant application value in promoting sustainable development in the fields of transportation, energy and power. © 2023 IEEE.

For the pulse power system using capacitor as energy storage unit, the performance of capacitor charging power supply (CCPS) determines the stability of output voltage. With the rapid progress of high-frequency and high-power devices, high-frequency converter charging power has become the mainstream. Among them, the LC series resonant converter is an ideal charging power topology due to its excellent anti-short-circuit ability, constant current characteristics and soft switching. In this paper, the working characteristics of the LC series resonant converter are studied. Based on a CCPS with charging voltage of 10kV and charging capacity of 25kVA, a constant current-constant power charging control strategy is designed to improve the charging speed of CCPS. Simulation results show that this strategy reduces the charging time by 37.5% compared with the traditional constant current control strategy. At the same time, the influence of the stray capacitance of the transformer on the LC series resonant converter under the high voltage and high power situation is analyzed. © 2022 IEEE.

State Estimation (SE) is used to derive accurate operating states from redundant field measurements, wherein Bad Data Detection (BDD) is used to eliminate measurement outliers. In the past decade, False Data Injection (FDI) attacks have attracted extensive attention, as they provide a strategy to introduce bias to SE results by maliciously modifying measurements in a way that can bypass BDD. Regrettably, although FDI attacks are plausible in math, whether they are feasible in practice has not been paid enough attention. This paper tries to give an answer by formulating three FDI attack vectors, each exploiting the vulnerability of a different communication protocol to achieve background reconnaissance and data tampering. Based on the proposed attack vectors, the path of launching FDI attacks in a concrete cyber environment and the corresponding defense countermeasures are analyzed through cyber-physical co-simulation. Case studies demonstrate that applying classical countermeasures, such as cryptographic techniques and access control policies, can effectively frustrate FDI attacks in the real world. Futhermore, it can be summarized from the experiments that attackers may leverage side-effects of defense countermeasures to mount more subtle attacks. It is essential to consider defending against cyber-physical attacks from an overall perspective in the future.

This paper proposes an improved position sensorless control method for switched reluctance motor (SRM) based on a sliding mode observer (SMO) using nonlinear polynomial flux linkage model. Firstly, in order to balance the accuracy and complexity of SMO, a nonlinear polynomial flux linkage model with variable coefficients is introduced. Then, a modified SMO utilizing the switching function is designed to estimate rotor position and speed. Finally, comparison simulation results are presented to verify the accuracy and robustness of the proposed sensorless method.

With the large-scale access of new energy units and the rapid development of power electronics in the power system, the problems of low inertia and limited voltage support capacity faced by the power system are becoming more and more serious. The renewed focus on synchronous condenser has improved the voltage support capacity of the grid, but the low inertia problem is still serious due to the fixed rotor speed and limited inertia. There is an urgent need for a device that meets both voltage and frequency support. Energy Storage Synchronous Condenser (ESSC) is considered as a solution. However, for the problem of command delay, the ESSC with damper enables frequency adjustment automatically and is a better solution. In this paper, the effects of different damping parameters on the dynamic performance of the ESSC for active power are analyzed theoretically and simulatively, respectively. The results show that the ESSC with damper has ideal dynamic performance if proper damping parameters are used.
