This research was research and development which focuses to develop Student's worksheet based on science process skills. The development model of the research refered to 4-D model by Thiagrajan which was solved only until defining, design, and development stages. This research aims to find out: (1) Students worksheet based on science process skill in respiratory system to junior high school validity, (2) students worksheet based on science process skill in respiratory system to junior high school practicality, and (3) students worksheet based on science process skill in respiratory system effectiveness to improve student's science process skills. The product examination used one-group-pretest-posttest design and was held in 8th grade of SMPN 13 Makassar for second semester of academic year 2017/2018 with the number of subject was 29 students. The results showed that the instruments used fit the valid criteria, based on the student responses and science process skills tests are categorized as effective. © 2019 IOP Publishing Ltd.

Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a new coronavirus that was discovered in Wuhan, China, at the end of 2019. In March 2020, the outbreak extended throughout the world, including Indonesia and one of its provinces, South Kalimantan. This rapid expansion should belinked to people's mobility between regions, hence the linkage across regions must be examined. In South Kalimantan Province, the purpose of this research is to evaluate the distribution and relationship across regions in terms of the number of positive COVID-19 cases, the number of additional positive COVID-19 cases, and the number of COVID-19 patients under treatment. The spatial autocorrelation analysis with the Moran Index and Local Indicator of Spatial Autocorrelation (LISA) tests were used to determine the spatial autocorrelation between what and what using what data/where the data obtained? from March 22 to September 30, 2020. Based on the results of the Moran Index test, it is known that there is a spatial autocorrelation in the number of cases, the number of additional cases and the number of positive confirmed COVID-19 patients in treatment between one region and another neighboring area. While the results of the LISA Index test show that Balangan Regency, Hulu Sungai Tengah Regency, Hulu Sungai Utara Regency, Banjarmasin City, Tabalong Regency and Banjar Regency affect the level of COVID-19 cases in their respective neighboring areas. Therefore, there is a need for policies to control community mobility in those spatially correlated areas and increase testing and tracing to control the spread of COVID-19 cases in South Kalimantan Province. © 2021 Institute of Physics Publishing. Eclipsing binary (EB) is a binary system in which the components are seen eclipsing each other from the Earth. Photometric and spectroscopic observation of EBs show variation on their brightness (light curve) and radial velocity (velocity curve). Light and radial velocity curve analysis provide physical and geometrical parameters of the binary systems and their components, which are very important in stellar evolution studies. These parameters are determined by solving inverse problem, i.e. finding the best-fitting model to the observational curves. Modern EBs modeling programs include detailed physics of stellar atmosphere, geometry, and dynamics of the binary system. One of such models is PHOEBE (PHysics Of Eclipsing BinariEs) 2.3, which offers sophisticated methods to solve the inverse problem. It is solved by computing model curves from initial (estimated) parameters, optimizing them numerically, and sampling the optimized models. We studied CV Boo, a detached EB with a period of 0.847 days, using PHOEBE 2.3. Light curve and radial velocity curves were obtained from the literature. We discuss the steps in finding the solution, present our best solution of the inverse problem, and compare our results with previous studies. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

This study aims to produce mathematical learning tools with a productive creative type cooperative model to increase motivation and mathematical ability of students of class VIII SMP that are valid, practical, and effective. This type of research is development research. This research develops learning tools including Learning Implementation Plan (RPP), Student Worksheet (LKPD), and Learning Outcomes Test (THB) by using the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The research subjects were students of class VIII MTs. NW Lepak. Data analysis was performed by converting the total actual scores obtained into five scale qualitative data. From the results of expert validation, teacher assessment scores, student assessments, and learning achievement tests show that the learning tools developed are valid, effective, and practical. © 2020 IOP Publishing Ltd. Liquefaction is a phenomenon in which soil becomes liquefied and loses its resistance, usually caused by earthquakes. Liquefaction should be one of the considerations in planning development because this phenomenon can damage building structures. The liquefaction susceptibility was measured by the Cone Penetration Test (CPT) method. The Liquefaction Potential Index (LPI) value is obtained from the measurement results, divided into four levels (very low, low, high, very high). However, the cost required to measure only at one location point is quite expensive. In this paper, we propose a machine learning approach to modeling a liquefaction-prone zone map. © 2021 IEEE.

Most students have some problems completing their studies on time. Based on the data of Biology Department of FMIPA UNNES, the average of students from 2012 to 2014 who graduated on time only 20.55%. This study would analyze the factors that become constraints in thesis completion. The research design is quantitative methods with ex-post facto strategies. The research sample is students of the Biology Department of the academic year 2012-2015 taken by simple random sampling technique. The data was collected by a questionnaire and processed using the path analysis by SMART PLS software version 2.0. It is found that motivation, administrative factors, and the guidance process contributed to the process of students' thesis completion. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

This study aimed at analyzing the effectiveness of an interactive physics e-module (IPEM) to improve students' critical thinking skill (CTS). IPEM is a module that contains unstructured problems, physics phenomena in the form of animations, videos, examples, and CTS problems. This IPEM was presented in the blended problem-based learning (BPBL) model. The population consisted of all tenth grade students at SMAN 2 and SMAN 4 Singaraja and classes X1 and X4 in SMAN 2 Singaraja and SMAN 4 Singaraja were selected as the sample by using a random sampling technique. The study used a quasi-experiment one group pre-test and post-test design. Before the lesson was taught by using IPEM, the students were given a CTS pretest. At the end of the lesson, they were given the same test (post-test). The data were analyzed using a paired t-test. The results showed that the average students' cts before using IPEM was 22.7, falling into a poor category, and the results showed that the average students' cts before using IPEM was 59.1, falling into a medium category. The using a paired t-test result shows that there is a significant difference in the students' CTS before and after using the IPEM. The students' CTS after using IPEM is better than before using IPEM in learning process. That is why the IPEM in the BPBL model is effective to improve the students' CTS of high schools. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

The performance of oil palm trunk wastes from Banjarbaru of South Kalimantan was improved with the help of chemical modification in a two-step *** first was formalization with formaldehyde solution with varying pH,and the second was impregnation with melamine-formaldehyde resin under 5 bar pressure for an *** these processes,the samples were cured at 120℃ for 10 min and then dried in an oven at(103±2)℃ in order to attain a moisture content of less than 6%.These treatments improved the physical properties(density,moisture content,and volume swelling),mechanical resistance,dynamic-mechanical and acoustic performance of the *** combination of impregnation and formalization changed the structure and the morphology of the woods such that the surface became flatter and *** was confirmed by results from FTIR,SEM,and *** with alkaline modification displayed the best results for dimensional stability,storage modulus,and damping factor in varied *** treatments in this study also heightened acoustic performances as evidenced by the resulting characteristics of sound absorption coefficient and acoustic impedance.

This study addresses the critical challenge of achieving sustainable sanitation practices in the Komodo subdistrict, focusing on the role of community engagement and public relations strategies in advancing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Sustainable sanitation is essential for public health, environmental protection, and overall community well-being, yet its implementation often faces barriers, including community resistance, lack of awareness, and inconsistent service quality. By employing Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA), this research evaluates community perceptions of key sanitation indicators, identifying both successful aspects and areas that require improvement to meet sustainability goals. The results reveal that indicators such as septic system adoption, desludging service quality, and efficient fecal sludge management are perceived as highly important and are critical to achieving sustainable outcomes. The study also underscores the pivotal role of public relations in fostering community collaboration, building trust, and enhancing engagement among stakeholders, demonstrating that effective communication strategies can significantly influence community acceptance and participation in sanitation initiatives. These findings suggest that prioritizing community-driven approaches and strengthening communication efforts can enhance the impact of sanitation programs, ensuring they are well-received and actively supported. This research contributes a framework for integrating public relations with community engagement in sanitation planning, offering a model that can be adapted for sustainable development initiatives in other regions. Future research should explore similar frameworks in diverse settings to further validate and refine strategies that promote sustainable sanitation at scale. © 2025 The Author(s)

Sharia General Insurance is a type of insurance business that offers sharia principles-based non-life protection products. Sharia insurance product of motor vehicle is the most in demand by the public. On the other hand, this product also contributes significantly to claims for Partial Loss (PL), Total Loss Only (TLO), and Comprehensive All-Risk (CAR). This study aims to determine the relationship between the types of sharia motor vehicle claims and the customer’s locations using the correspondence analysis method. The analysis resulted in a correspondence map that explained the relationship between two variables, illustrating the types of sharia motor vehicle claims, which were mostly filled in specific city locations. From the contribution achievement data, four major cities had high rates of growth in sharia motor vehicle insurance contributions, namely: Jakarta (JKT), Bandung (BDG), Surabaya (SBY), and Medan (MDN). This study revealed that many customers submitted Partial Loss (PL) claims in Surabaya (SBY) and Medan (MDN), Total Loss Only (TLO) claims in Bandung (BDG), and Comprehensive All-Risk (CAR) claims in Jakarta (JKT). This result can be used as a recommendation for sharia general insurance companies to improve customer location-based quality and product diversification. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.
