This research used Geographic Information System (GIS) approach with Round Graph method. Data used in this research are high resolution satellite imagery, Peta Rupa Bumi Indonesia (RBI) scale 1: 25.000 and statistics data. High resolution satellite imagery was used to obtain data about the distribution of flood points, road map and locations of disaster posts. After obtaining those data, then the quickest and nearest evacuation routes can be determined by using round graph method so that the casualty of flood hazard can be significantly reduced and effectively helped. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

This study reveals stock market reaction to Indonesia presidential election in 2019 using Fama and French Three Factor Model with accounting dependent variable being Average Abnormal Return (AAR) in addition to Earning Per Share (EPS), Debt to Equity ratio (DER), Return on Assets (ROA), and Return on Equity (ROE) as independent variables. The research population was all stocks of the companies registered in the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2019 with their dividend announcement. The characteristic of the observed object was stock price measured by return, abnormal return and average abnormal return during 111-day-observation comprising of 11 days of windows period observation and 100 days of estimation period. The data from 101 companies as samples determined through the purposive sampling technique were analyzed using SPSS software version 23, which represented all industrial sectors in Indonesia Stock Exchange. The measure and analysis of companies stocks concluded that a gradual rise in AAR values was witnessed in all stock portfolios during the announcement date. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Less varied learning methods make learning activities boring. Emphasis on mastery of concepts and teacher dominance make students' activities passive. The correct methods are needed to achieve the learning objectives. This study aims to evaluate the practicality of natural science learning devices for junior high school on the concept of environmental pollution using a problem-solving learning model. The research method uses Design Development Research by Tessmer. The data was taken at the small group evaluation and field test. Data were collected through observation of teacher and student activities with a scale of 1-4;selfassessment with a score of 1 (positive) and 0 (negative);and student response questionnaires on a scale of 1-5. The data were categorized and analysed descriptively. The results of the small group evaluation are: teacher activities get a good category;student activities with good categories in the preliminary and closing activities, but main activities are still quite good;selfassessment aspects show eight positive and two negatives, and student responses show nine positive and one negative. The field test results are: teacher and student activities get a "very good" category;self-assessment aspects show eight positive and two negative, and student responses are positive for all aspects. © 2021 Institute of Physics Publishing. Moss plants in tropical mountain forest areas play an essential role in water balance and the forest's nutrient cycle, serving as a substrate, food source, and a place for forest organisms to live. This study aims to analyze the diversity of moss plants in Mount Lawu and Baturraden Botanical Gardens based on the height of the place and substrate type. Moss plants were observed along the Cemoro Kandang hiking trail and around the Baturraden Botanical Garden. A total of 30 species of mosses consisting of 19 species of true mosses, 10 species of liverworts, 1 species of hornworts. The moss plants on the hiking trail are included in 13 orders and 20 families. There are 13 species of mosses found in the Baturraden Botanical Garden, including 7 orders and 10 families, including 8 species of true mosses, 4 species of liverworts, and 1 species hornworts. The highest moss species diversity at the two locations is true mosses (Bryophyta). Most of the mosses are terrestrial mosses. True mosses are evenly distributed in the highlands rather than the lowlands. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Peatlands serve as vital carbon reservoirs, exhibiting two stability conditions. In a stable state, they absorb CO2 with slow decomposition. In contrast, an unstable state causes faster decomposition, leading to increased carbon emissions and a higher risk of peatland fires. Studies have found that carbon emissions positively correlate with lower water table depths, resulting in a higher emission rate. Considering peatlands’ behaviour, an autoregressive integrated moving average (ARIMA) model was used to predict the groundwater level in order to anticipate the risk of the unstable condition. The data taken was in Indragiri Hilir, Riau, and Pulang Pisau, Central Kalimantan, from 27 February 2021 to 18 March 2023. Furthermore, the Ordinary Kriging (OK) was used to estimate the groundwater level in the unobserved locations. Thus, the potential risk map of peatlands could be obtained. The forecasts showed that the groundwater level area decreased from March to May 2023, in line with the season change. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

We want to extend an individual claim reserving method proposed by [1] and also [2] by using segmented calculation. This method is an individual method of claims reserve estimation which involves detailed condition on claim characteristics in the calculation process. Data is divided into several segments according to combination of background variables. We then apply RDC method to find estimated IBNR and RBNS reserves for each segment. Bayesian Additive Regression Tree (BART) is used to refine the estimated reserves. This is because the estimation become unstable due to a lot of combination factors for each segment. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Ijen geothermal area is high-temperature geothermal system located in Bondowoso regency, East Java. It is categorized as caldera-hosted geothermal system which is covered by quaternary andesitic volcanic rocks with steep topography at the surrounding. Several surface thermal manifestations are found, such as altered rocks near Mt. Kukusan and a group of Blawan hotsprings in the northern part of the caldera. Geomagnetic survey was conducted at 72 stations which is distributed inside the caldera to delineate the existence of hydrothermal activity. Magnetic anomaly was obtained by reducing total magnetic measured on the field by IGRF and diurnal variation. Reduction to pole (RTP) method was applied with geomagnetic inclination of about-32°. In general, the result shows that high magnetic anomaly is distributed at the boundary of study area, while low magnetic anomaly is observed in the centre. The low anomaly indicates demagnetized rock that probably caused by hydrothermal activity. It has a good correlation with surface alteration observed close to Mt. Kukusan as well as high temperature reservoir drilled in the centre of caldera. Accordingly, the low magnetic anomaly also presents the possibility of geothermal reservoir in Ijen geothermal area. © 2018 The Authors, published by EDP sciences.

Preparation of Christmas Palm seeds ethanolic extract and lactic acid loaded nanoparticles aims to obtain an antidiarrheal (caused by Escherichia coli) therapy by using nano herbal. Preparation of the nanoparticles was done by ionic gelation method. There were three formulas (F) which had been evaluated in this study based on the difference amount of Ca(OH)2, 12.5 mg for F1, 17.5 mg for F2, and 22.5 mg for F3. All formulas revealed an entrapment efficiency percentage of 75.489 over or less 0.563 (F1);76.885 over or less 0.046 (F2);and 74.844 over or less 0.724% (F3). The second formula (F2) produced the highest %EE therefore it was distinguished as the optimum formula. The results of nanoparticles characterization of an optimum formula such as average diameter, poly dispersity index (PDI), and zeta potential using particle size analyzer were 1230.1 nm;0.482;dan 27.5 mV respectively. An in-vivo antidiarrheal evaluation on rats using an optimum formula containing 1 gram of extract showed that nanoparticles possed an equal antidiarrheal effect to intraperitoneal gentamicin sulfate 8 mg/kg body weight with diarrhea inhibitory of 71.539%. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Utilizing natural waste materials to decolorize synthetic and natural dyes offers a promising solution for mitigating environmental pollution. The adsorption isotherms and decolorization kinetics of curcumin onto Pondoh snake fruit seed (PSFS) biochar were predicted using ten isotherm models and the Generalized Fulazzaky (GF) equations, respectively, providing insights into the behavioral characteristics of the adsorption process. Simulations using the Harkin-Jura model demonstrated a good fit, with R ² values exceeding 0.6909 across PSFS biochar granular sizes of 13.65, 25.49, and 65.13 μm, indicating capillary condensation and multilayer adsorption, which validates the GF equations’ applicability. Applying the GF equations to adsorption kinetics simulations showed that declining external mass transfer (EMT) rates were offset by increasing internal mass transfer (IMT) rates. The increase in IMT rates ([ k L a ] d < 0.0 min −1 ) was less pronounced than the decrease in EMT rates ([ k L a ] f > 0.0 min −1 ), suggesting IMT governs curcumin adsorption’s rate-limiting step. PSFS biochar with an average granular size of 25.49 μm proved most effective for decolorizing 100 mg L −1 curcumin, exhibiting a global mass transfer rate range of 0.0020 to 0.0079 min −1 . Utilizing PSFS biochar for curcumin removal contributes to sustainable environmental remediation by advancing green technologies and informing dye effluent management strategies.

Customer Lifetime Value or CLV is a restriction on interactive marketing to help a company in arranging financial for the marketing of new customer acquisition and customer retention. Additionally CLV can be able to segment customers for financial arrangements. Stochastic models for the fairly new CLV used a Markov chain. In this model customer retention probability and new customer acquisition probability play an important role. This model is originally introduced by Pfeifer and Carraway in 2000 [1]. They introduced several CLV models, one of them only involves customer and former customer. In this paper we expand the model by adding the assumption of the transition from former customer to customer. In the proposed model, the CLV value is higher than the CLV value obtained by Pfeifer and Caraway model. But our model still requires a longer convergence time.
