Train is one of transportation mode is increasingly polular in Indonesia nowdays, although in developed countries this transportation has long been a very advanced mode of mass transportation. Problems due to railroad tracks adjacent to densely populated settlements cannot be avoided. Problems such as noise levels can interfere with the health and comfort of the environment, vibrations in the surrounding environment due to passing trains cause some damage to civilian buildings such as residents' houses and high rise buildings as well. This study aims to understand the willingness of urban communities in Jabodetabek (Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, Bekasi) to move to apartment dwellings, and a study was conducted using a quantitative survey method. The study aimed to analyze the sociodemographic factors influencing the decision to switch to vertical housing. The survey collected data from a sample of individuals representing the entire population in Jabodetabek. The participants in the study were selected from various locations within Jabodetabek, including Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi. These areas were chosen to comprehensively represent the metropolitan region and its urban communities. By including participants from different locations within Jabodetabek, the study aimed to capture individuals' diverse perspectives and experiences in this region. The survey covered a range of sociodemographic factors such as gender, income, education level, marital status, occupancy, and residence ownership. The participants were divided into two groups: those willing to pay for an apartment and those who wereilling to pay for an apartment and those not. By comparing the characteristics of these two groups, the study aimed to identify significant differences and understand the factors influencing the willingness to move to apartment dwellings. The study results showed significant differences in income level, education level, marital status, and occupancy between the two groups. Income level was the most significant factor affecting an individual's willingness to pay for an apartment. Additionally, the perception of better apartment productivity, which includes reduced transportation time and costs associated with work or other business purposes, increased the demand for apartments. The Southern Trans-Java Route (Jalur Jalan Lintas Selatan – JJLS) infrastructure development is a national program that goes through five provinces in the island of Java, namely the provinces of East Java, Central Java, Yogyakarta Special Region, West Java, and Banten. In Yogyakarta, the Southern Trans-Java Route (JJLS) cuts across three regencies, which are Gunungkidul Regency, Bantul Regency, and Kulonprogo Regency. This research selected locations in Jetis Village, Saptosari District, Gunungkidul Regency, Gadingsari Village, Sanden District, Bantul Regency, and Sindutan Village, Temon District, Kulonprogro Regency for its study. The aims of this research are to analyze price changes that occur. The research method employed in this study is the qualitative descriptive analysis method. The villages set as study locations were determined by purposive method and data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews with informants who understand the issues relevant to the research objectives. Based on the acquired study results, the highest change in land price took place in Sindutan Village. A significant increase in land price occurred.

The Prospect of Geotourism in the Cycloop Mountains Conservation Area Papua

The Cycloop mountains in Papua are a nature reserve conservation area that has diverse geology, biology and culture. This paper discusses the prospects of geotourism in Cycloop mountains based on a method of analyzing the community acceptability and tourists preferences, likewise the geosite attraction and geotourism sustainability. The results of analysis indicates that a) village communities in surrounding conservation area accept and wish to get involved in natural activities; b) local tourists are very dominant and motivated on outdoor recreation in groups; c) identified geosites has classified as from Quite Interesting to Interesting based on the index of attractiveness; and d) geotourism activity in the mountains Cycloop is categorized Quite Sustainable reviewed from the environment, society, economy and governance dimension. The exploration and the geological conservation to be the reliable activities in organizing the geotourism. Geotourism is likely to be applied to the conservation area as a form of implementation of the sustainable tourism concept.

Effect of liquid fertiliser for soil quality and coffee plants's vegetative growth

The aim of this research was to determine the influence of liquid fertiliser that comes from the waste of dairy farms for soil quality and vegetative growth of coffee plants. There are three kinds of fertilization intensity (treatment) that is without fertilization (K0), one-times fertilization (C1) and two-times fertilisation (C2). The results were analysed using Group Randomized Design as experimental design; ANOVA and Tukey Test 5% as analysis method. The results showed that the treatment affects soil quality. The treatment also gives a significant influence (p < 0.05) at the height rate of coffee plants in the 2nd week and the canopy diameter rate of coffee plant in the 2nd and 4th week. The results of this research are expected to provide input especially for cattle farmers and coffee planters who want to integrate their livestock and their crops.

Determination pollution load capacity of Ngrowo River as wastewater receiver from hospital activities

Industrialization and domestic activities very potentially to contribute water pollution addition especially into a river. One of domestic activities that may produce wastewater is a hospital activity. Public Regional Hospital in Tulungagung is located at Kedungwaru that will developed in order to further support the existing infrastructure. Assessment towards water quality and load pollution capacity of Ngrowo River as wastewater receiver is very important before hospital development began. The method used in this research was mass balance method, pollution index to determine of water pollution status based on the parameters of temperature, pH, total suspended solids (TSS), dissolved oxygen (DO), biochemical oxygen demand (BOD), chemical oxygen demand (COD), nitrate and phosphate. The quality parameters obtained in this study were compared with the class II water quality standard. The maximum pollutant load was calculated to determine the pollution load capacity. The result show that water quality of Ngrowo River was categorized in low pollution (around 3.75 – 3.99 for index pollution) based on class of II of water quality standard. Load pollution capacity at downstream have exceeded 28,673.3 kg/day for BOD and 34,339.3 kg/day for COD in existing condition. Based on the findings in this study, it is recommended that hospitals are obliged to have wastewater treatment plant installed. Such approach is critical to maintain the quality of surroundings environments as well as to prevent water pollution to occur.

The limited supply of clean water led to some residents in the city, as well as business and trade areas using underground water. Optimization of land used in the development of new towns and expanded impervious land surface, thus reducing infiltration capacity, resulting in an increased volume of runoff. The use of underground water and the reduced infiltration of rainwater resulted in a decrease in the underground water table. To maintain the underground water table and preventing land subsidence resulted from the use of underground water as raw material for clean water. The effort required is how doing underground water conservation. This paper discusses the development of new towns to assess the natural landscape as underground water conservation efforts on the development of the new town. The research method uses a quantitative approach to calculate the potential runoff using a soil conservation service, while to analyze the trend of changes in land cover using temporal spatial analysis, using descriptive analysis. The data used satellite imagery. The study found open green spaces, water bodies, and infrastructure in the form of green corridors can reduce runoff and maintain the underground water table.

SummaryBackgroundAcross low-income and middle-income countries (LMICs), one in ten deaths in children younger than 5 years is attributable to diarrhoea. The substantial between-country variation in both diarrhoea incidence and mortality is attributable to interventions that protect children, prevent infection, and treat disease. Identifying subnational regions with the highest burden and mapping associated risk factors can aid in reducing preventable childhood diarrhoea. MethodsWe used Bayesian model-based geostatistics and a geolocated dataset comprising 15 072 746 children younger than 5 years from 466 surveys in 94 LMICs, in combination with findings of the Global Burden of Diseases, Injuries, and Risk Factors study (GBD) 2017, to estimate posterior distributions of diarrhoea prevalence, incidence, and mortality from 2000 to 2017. From these data, we estimated the burden of diarrhoea at varying subnational levels (termed units) by spatially aggregating draws, and we investigated the drivers of subnational patterns by creating aggregated risk factor estimates. FindingsThe greatest declines in diarrhoeal mortality were seen in south and southeast Asia and South America, where 54·0% (95% uncertainty interval [UI] 38·1–65·8), 17·4% (7·7–28·4), and 59·5% (34·2–86·9) of units, respectively, recorded decreases in deaths from diarrhoea greater than 10%. Although children in much of Africa remain at high risk of death due to diarrhoea, regions with the most deaths were outside Africa, with the highest mortality units located in Pakistan. Indonesia showed the greatest within-country geographical inequality; some regions had mortality rates nearly four times the average country rate. Reductions in mortality were correlated to improvements in water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) or reductions in child growth failure (CGF). 作者： Dr. Roy L. Streit Since 1992 Dr. Streit has focused a significant amount of his energy to assignment problems in acoustic warfare data fusion systems. This work led him to the formulation of the PDD Principle a broadly useful theoretical method that enables the derivation of new classes of discrete-continuous estimation algorithms for solving assignment problems without requiring enumeration and pruning. In recognition of his outstanding work in this area Dr. Streit received the NAVSEA Scientist of the Year Award for 1997. Dr. Streit has also been pursuing avenues for analyzing the loss in broadband detection performance of an acoustic array in the presence of interferences. Because examining all possible separations between the signal and many interferers is infeasible he has proposed a Poisson process model for the number and location (s) of the interferers. In this same time period Dr. Streit has also been investigating issues in environmental modeling and localization by proposing a novel integral method for solving the bearings-only target motion analysis problem which enables a natural heuristic for compensating for mismatch between the model predictions and the real world. Most recently Dr. Streit has proposed the Numerical ACoustic Hull ARray (NACHAR) Project as a revolutionary and ambitious approach to hull array design. Its premise is that optimizing the detection capability of large hull arrays requires the full integration of hull sensor array and beamformer design processes. Because NACHAR crosses an unusual number of technical disciplines it involves researchers from several departments.
