E-tourism application development to support integrated and disaster-safe tourism villages in Kerambitan District, Tabanan

Kerambitan District is one of the pioneers of tourism that has contributed to raising the name of Bali in the international community. However, so far the planning and implementation of tourism activities have not accommodated the integrated tourism aspects and disaster-safe tourism services. In fact, most tourist destinations in Kerambitan are dominated by natural tourism with hilly contours, which are included in areas prone to extreme weather disasters and areas prone to flooding and landslides during high-intensity rainfall. This study aims to build an early warning system based on digital application, to help create a disaster-safe tourist village. The Waterfall Method is used in development process. This application is Android-based, and integrating the Google Firebase Cloud Messaging feature for sending messages and notifications to various Android devices. The results of this study are an SIGADis E-tourism application, which in addition to display and promote tourist location information in Kerambitan, also has safe and disaster-responsive features including the early warning system feature through messages and notifications, information list of disasters that have occurred, disaster’s distribution map and the weather information each tourist location that combined with Balinese lunar calendar (Sasih). Based on the application testing results using BlackBox Testing and Beta Testing methods, the application has been running according to the desired function, able to provide information about tourism village in Kerambitam, also provide disaster messages and notifications to various android devices, and able to display disaster distribution maps and suggestions related to the disasters when bad weather or events occur.

This research aims to develop an application for selecting the best new tenant at PT Angkasa Pura II Sultan Thaha Jambi Airport Branch by utilizing Weighted Product (WP) method as the decision support system. Our approach is descriptive research with data analysis technique using four prospective tenants coded A_1 to A_4. The data was collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and literature study. The steps for selecting the best new tenant using the WP method include determining the criteria, sorting the suitability of alternatives and criteria, determining the weight of each criterion and its normalization, calculating the score, S value as an alternative preference, and calculating the ranking, V value as the final alternative preference. Based on the final calculation results, the new tenant coded A_4 is the best alternative based on the data collected from the Financial Management (FHFM) Unit and the Commercial Unit, with a value of V_4 is 0.294.

An e-Commerce company has been using an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for several years, but is still constrained in its implementation, this is reflected in the number of issue/change request tickets submitted by users who have not been able to reach ideal conditions. To overcome this problem, we need an appropriate reference model, the ERP system user acceptance model in companies. The study conducted factors that influence the level of acceptance of SAP ERP users in the XYZ group to then determine a model that is able to explain practically the level of ERP system user acceptance, which in turn can produce concrete proposals to increase ERP system user acceptance. Research is quantitative descriptive using factor analysis and regression analysis methods. The research method uses a questionnaire with a total of 107 valid respondents coming from 8 company names under the XYZ group in 6 Southeast Asian countries. The conclusion of the study is that there are 24 indicators and 4 factors that influence user acceptance of the SAP ERP system. These four factors are the low contribution of the ERP system, the quality of ERP systems and data, the development of ERP systems, and also the low quality of ERP system supporters. It is hoped that by optimizing the value of the 4 factors, the XYZ group can increase user acceptance of the SAP ERP system so that the system can provide benefits expected by the company to be competitive advantage. © 2021 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Classification of single neurons at a brain-wide scale is a way to characterize the structural and functional organization of brains. Here we acquired and standardized a large morphology database of 20,158 mouse neurons and generated a potential connectivity map of single neurons based on their dendritic and axonal arbors. With such an anatomy–morphology–connectivity mapping, we defined neuron connectivity subtypes for neurons in 31 brain regions. We found that cell types defined by connectivity show distinct separation from each other. Within this context, we were able to characterize the diversity in secondary motor cortical neurons, and subtype connectivity patterns in thalamocortical pathways. Our findings underscore the importance of connectivity in characterizing the modularity of brain anatomy at the single-cell level. These results highlight that connectivity subtypes supplement conventionally recognized transcriptomic cell types, electrophysiological cell types and morphological cell types as factors to classify cell classes and their identities. © The Author(s) 2025.

Herb compounds screening as meningitis inhibitor candidates using neural network and random forest methods

Meningitis is an inflammation of the meninges that occurs in the protective lining of the brain and spinal cord caused by bacterial, viral, or fungal infections. This disease is difficult to recognize because it has initial symptoms like the flu where the patient has a fever and headache. Current efforts to prevent the disease by strengthening antibodies. Meanwhile, drug candidates for the treatment of this disease still have not found optimal results in reducing mortality due to meningitis. This study aims to find and analyses herbal compound candidates that might be inhibitors of meningitis. Compound data was acquired from a validated open database. The data acquired are smiles of the chemical bond structure of the compounds. In the data processing process, compound feature extraction is required by applying the concept of molecular fingerprint. The results of feature extraction are used as datasets to build classification models by applying the Multilayer Perceptron (MLP) and Random Forest algorithms. The two models are compared, and a more robust model is selected to be used as a prediction model for herbal compound search. The MLP model has a better accuracy of 0.97 compared to the Random Forest model. The results of screening using the MLP learning model obtained Symphytine, cis-Linalool oxide, and 3-O-Methylcalopocarpin compounds have the highest probability compared to thousands of other herbal compounds. This candidate compound can be used as a recommendation for drug discovery to treat patients who contract Meningitis.

Parallel development of social preferences in fish and machines

What are the computational foundations of social grouping? Traditional approaches to this question have focused on verbal reasoning or simple (low-dimensional) quantitative models. In the real world, however, social preferences emerge when high-dimensional learning systems (brains and bodies) interact with high-dimensional sensory inputs during an animal's embodied interactions with the world. A deep understanding of social grouping will therefore require embodied models that learn directly from sensory inputs using high-dimensional learning mechanisms. To this end, we built artificial neural networks (ANNs), embodied those ANNs in virtual fish bodies, and raised the artificial fish in virtual fish tanks that mimicked the rearing conditions of real fish. We then compared the social preferences that emerged in real fish versus artificial fish. We found that when artificial fish had two core learning mechanisms (reinforcement learning and curiosity-driven learning), artificial fish developed fish-like social preferences. Like real fish, the artificial fish spontaneously learned to prefer members of their own group over members of other groups. The artificial fish also spontaneously learned to self-segregate with their in-group, akin to self-segregation behavior seen in nature. Our results suggest that social grouping can emerge from three ingredients: (1) reinforcement learning, (2) intrinsic motivation, and (3) early social experiences with in-group members. This approach lays a foundation for reverse engineering animal-like social behavior with image-computable models, bridging the divide between high-dimensional sensory inputs and social preferences. © 2023, CC BY-SA.

This research aims to help the user monitor their heart’s condition and notify other people in case of an emergency due to an abnormal heartbeat (normal heartbeat around 60-100 beats per minute). From the heart rate graph, the user could do a consultation with an expert in the nearest hospital using a map feature that will show the nearest hospital with a 1 KM radius from the user’s current location. The heart is undeniably an essential part of the human body system. The heart's missions are to pump blood to the lungs to expel the waste carbon dioxide that resulted from the respiration and pump blood that will deliver oxygen throughout the human body's circulation system. While the blood that carries oxygen being pumped throughout the human body, the heart will provide the oxygen to all cells. Body cells need to use oxygen to get the energy from food through a process called cellular respiration. Monitoring our heartbeat and pulse rate can increase people’s awareness about their heart’s health, motivating, and encouraging people to maintain a healthy eating plan and exercise. This research will be implemented ECG Sensor. The sensor will then send the data to the android application via HC-06 Bluetooth module. Monitoring the heart rate and analyzing the user’s heartbeat will be done in the android with a microcontroller device's help. © 2020 IEEE.

A newborn embodied Turing test for view-invariant object recognition

Recent progress in artificial intelligence has renewed interest in building machines that learn like animals. Almost all of the work comparing learning across biological and artificial systems comes from studies where animals and machines received different training data, obscuring whether differences between animals and machines emerged from differences in learning mechanisms versus training data. We present an experimental approach-a "newborn embodied Turing Test"-that allows newborn animals and machines to be raised in the same environments and tested with the same tasks, permitting direct comparison of their learning abilities. To make this platform, we first collected controlled-rearing data from newborn chicks, then performed "digital twin" experiments in which machines were raised in virtual environments that mimicked the rearing conditions of the chicks. We found that (1) machines (deep reinforcement learning agents with intrinsic motivation) can spontaneously develop visually guided preference behavior, akin to imprinting in newborn chicks, and (2) machines are still far from newborn-level performance on object recognition tasks. Almost all of the chicks developed view-invariant object recognition, whereas the machines tended to develop view-dependent recognition. The learning outcomes were also far more constrained in the chicks versus machines. Ultimately, we anticipate that this approach will help researchers develop embodied AI systems that learn like newborn animals. © 2023, CC BY.

Artificial Intelligence Research in Agriculture has grown so common, and the potential they provide is so revolutionary that it is considered essential for competitive growth. Until we conducted this research, only 1064 academic documents on Trends of Artificial Intelligence Research in Agriculture that we found from 2012 to 2021 were obtained by searching the Scopus database. This study uses bibliometric analysis methods to map scientific publications worldwide. We use an article selection process, the year limitation, then the database is exported to RIS and CSV format files. Researchers in the United States had the most published articles and were indexed by Scopus among the most prolific authors ($\mathrm{N}=287$), followed by the United Kingdom at second ($\mathrm{N}=139$) and Italy with 66 academic publications. Data analysis reveals an increasing trend in the number of Trends of Artificial Intelligence Research in Agriculture publications worldwide, as measured by the Scopus index. © 2022 IEEE.

Using the Scopus database, this study aims to investigate the use of artificial intelligence for cancer detection in the last ten years from 2013 to 2022. The researchers used bibliometric analysis combined with VosViewer and Rstudio software quantification method for literature analysis. The results of the flushed articles show data such as publication year, journal, country, keywords, and authors, to the highest number of citations. Common keywords used by researchers are artificial intelligence, medical, and human. Researchers limited the findings through keywords such as in the last ten years, documents are journals, and English only so that 1868 articles were obtained. The results found that Harvard Medical School affiliation had the highest number of articles, with 101 articles, by subject area, Medicine had a proportion of 41.9% (n=1320). This bibliometric study will be useful for other researchers to examine the development of research on Artificial Intelligence for Cancer Detection in the last ten years.
