In recent years, the brain and cognitive sciences have made great strides developing a mechanistic understanding of object recognition in mature brains. Despite this progress, fundamental questions remain about the origins and computational foundations of object recognition. What learning algorithms underlie object recognition in newborn brains? Since newborn animals learn largely through unsupervised learning, we explored whether unsupervised learning algorithms can be used to predict the view-invariant object recognition behavior of newborn chicks. Specifically, we used feature representations derived from unsupervised deep neural networks (DNNs) as inputs to cognitive models of categorization. We show that features derived from unsupervised DNNs make competitive predictions about chick behavior compared to supervised features. More generally, we argue that linking controlled-rearing studies to image-computable DNN models opens new experimental avenues for studying the origins and computational basis of object recognition in newborn animals. © 2021, CC BY.

Many different industries are currently making substantial use of the Internet of Things (IoT). IoT is the process through which electronic devices communicate with their surrounding virtual environment by continuously exchanging data via sensors. Due to increased IoT security concerns, digital forensic investigators now possess greater knowledge and abilities to investigate IoT devices. IoT-DigFor are required in terms of cybercrime due to the rapid growth in the number of electronic devices and the collection and consumption of enormous amounts of data. IoT systems with billions of devices have produced a significant amount of evidence, which presents a significant challenge to digital investigators and practitioners who must connect with IoT devices to conduct fast and thorough investigations into cybercrimes. This article presents detailed information about forensics in the IoT environment. The IoT forensic paradigm and the challenges that design-based security requirements and IoT system security offer for IoT-DigFor are covered in great detail at the beginning of the article. © 2023 IEEE.

One of the significant indicators in the Education field is having a good experience from outside the campus. The student experience is reflected in three main factors: thoughts, feelings, and skills. Students Creativity program (PKM) is a form of the implementation of the Threefold Mission of Higher Education (Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi). PKM has an effort to grow, accommodate, and realize students' creative and innovative ideas. The use of information technology that is said to be a supporting factor in running business processes can improve effective and efficient performance, one of which is the use of computerized websites in PKM activities at Telkom Institute of Technology Purwokerto. The use of a website that is new still needs a lot of development. There are still some functions that have not run as they should be, such as the assessment process on the website that is still semi-manual. Based on these problems, so that the website can run optimally, it is necessary to evaluate the feasibility of the PKM system used by end users at Telkom Institute of Technology Purwokerto. The test was conducted using the System Usability Scale (SUS) method consisting of 10 statement items in the form of questionnaires with the main focus on measuring the feasibility level of the website involving respondents as end-users. The results showed that the validity test is said to be valid. Meanwhile, the reliability test is said to be reliable with a score of 63,308. This result can be categorized OK with grade scale D. The result shows that the research can be developed by updating the content or interface of the system to be more consistent and conducting demonstrations or socialization on how to use the system before users access the system.

The 21st-century skills was broadly discussed in all sectors. It challenges education to equip next generation with all important skills to face the digital technology transformation. The focus of this study was to identify profile of student's higher-order thinking skills (HOTS) and digital literacy among junior high school students in science learning. Mixed method, a combination of quantitative and qualitative was used in this study. A total number of 170 of grade 7th students in private and public junior high school in Semarang City were administered in the integrated science test (IST). IST were used to measure student's HOTS through constructed-multiple choice test. 17 science teachers were the key informant of HOTS and digital literacy in science learning. Rasch model and descriptive analysis used to identify HOTS and digital literacy based on gender and type of school. The results reveal that : (1) most of junior high school students HOTS performace were at low slight to moderate level (2) female students performs better than male students in HOTS, (3) type of school significantly impact on students' achievement, and (4) teachers' operation and thinking skills as basic skill of digital literacy were still unsufficient to provide digital-based learning. However, it is necessary to accustom implementation of HOTS assessment as well as digital technology in the science learning environment. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Indonesia is a country with a vast archipelago and rich biodiversity, particularly in the province of Aceh. However, challenges are often encountered when exploring biodiversity due to limited information access. Providing a comprehensive source of information in this context is therefore important. This study is aimed to design and develop the Aceh Biodiversity Application, which was designed for Android-based mobile devices. In our implementation, the waterfall model is used as development method to build the application which are consisted of two core elements including the back-end REST API and the front-end Android application. The application also uses three different roles to differentiate the access, those are contributors, testers, and administrators. Finally, the functionalities testing were applied using black-box testing after the development phase. In addition, the usability testing was performed using the Post study Usability Questionnaire (PSSUQ) method. The PSSUQ results showed the efficiency of the application, with an average usability score of 5.85, signifying a high level of usability.

The development of e-commerce or e-Market technology today creates a culture of Smartphone usage as the main media in communicating and doing business so it makes the opportunity to be utilized in overcoming every conventional issues in doing business. One of the issues in Tanah Abang Market is the congestion due to the large number of visitors coming from outside Jakarta. Therefore, a proper market development strategy is needed. The method used in this research was SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities & Threats). The strategy is composed of the calculations described in the EFE (External Factor Evaluation) and IFE Matrix (Internal Factor Evaluation). The result of internal factor analysis from IFE matrix obtained value equal to 3,27, while result of External factor analysis from EFE matrix obtained score equal to 3,35. Based on the data, the strategy of market development by designing the Online Market application is legally specific for the official seller in Tanah Abang Market is one of the right strategy in overcoming the issues in Tanah Abang Market. Furthermore, the design of Online Market System application for Tanah Abang Market (Blok F) produced in this research is part of the implementation of market development strategy. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

The development of critical thinking, creativity, and communication abilities is facilitated by the acquisition of writing skills, which are significant for students. Nevertheless, a considerable number of students presently encounter difficulties in locating the impetus and enthusiasm required for engagement in writing endeavors. The focus of the present paper is application design. The VBee application is a web-based application that facilitates the expression of user creativity and fosters a deeper appreciation for the art of writing. The application boasts a highly intuitive interface that effortlessly enables users to document their thoughts and experiences. It offers a plethora of features that not only facilitate writing but also foster self-expression, including customizable emoticons and the option to provide feedback. By designing the application, it could help support vocational school students in improving the quality of skill-focused education, particularly their English creative writing skill in enjoyment. Besides, the teachers are assisted to guide their students with technologically advanced and entertaining learning tools.

Along with technological improvements, online shopping is currently developing quickly. Online shops started by selling electronics, clothing, food, and home appliances and continue to evolve, selling various things. Currently, digital marketing has a novel technique, namely live shopping, where sellers can present, promote and offer their products directly through live streaming on social media and e-commerce platforms. This research will focus on gaining insight into the factors influencing customers to watch and purchase through live streaming. This research is an early-stage study of exploring and searching for research models. The study used a literature review approach by reviewing similar previous research articles. Several variable components were used in this study. The findings of the factors include visibility capacity, meta-vocation capacity, purchase orientation capacity, social presence, price, perceived product quality, perceived enjoyment, purchase orientation, perceived usefulness, and intention to buy. These factors were tested and proved to be valid with Cronbach's Alpha value being more than 0.5 and reliable with the value of the loading factor a greater than 0.6. Criteria The factors of the findings for further analysis of the relationship between factors and other variables.

Transportation of material aggregates over long distances and between islands requires a long time by changing modes of transportation. Therefore, determining a material aggregate travel trajectory model using a web database is something that can help in logistics movement analysis. This study aims to create a web-based material aggregate transportation trajectory model. The data collection method involves extracting data with Google Maps which shows distance and time indications. Next, validation is carried out in the field with a direct survey at the location. The analytical method uses statistical methods to create modeling using a linear regression model approach and statistical tests using anova. The results of the study show that the linear regression model is simple with an independent variable coefficient of 0.0306 and an R-square of 0.8649. Meanwhile, using the ANOVA test, it was stated that the modeling results were quite significant and the model could be used to make predictions.

Many industrial and engineering problems are transformed into optimization problems and solved using various numerical based methods. One of the frequently used method is the Steepest descent algorithm which converge to the solution in only one iteration, given the current point and provided the quadratic function is positive definite. However, this method is not suitable for large scale functions because of lack of gradient information and high computational cost. This study aims to suggest a new conjugate gradient algorithm for motion control of robotic manipulators and unconstrained optimization models. The convergence result of the new algorithm would be discussed under some suitable conditions. Computational simulations are carried out on the discrete-time kinematics equation of a two-joint planar robot manipulator to illustrates the efficiency of the algorithm. The algorithm was further extended to unconstrained optimization problems in addition to motion control of robotic manipulators. Preliminary results prove that the new algorithm is efficient compared to the existing CG algorithm. The comparisons are made using the set of 50 standard benchmark functions including number of iterations and CPU time. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.
