Implementation of super-resolution imaging for small object tracking

Visual quality and the level of precision of object tracking are highly desirable in modern tracking. However, in reality, the object being tracked is not always clearly visible, so the tracking results obtained are less precise. One of the reasons is the small object. The super-resolution technique is one technique that can be done before the tracking process to obtain precise tracking results. Super-resolution imaging is a technique to transform a low-resolution image into a high-resolution image. Super-resolution single frame excellence is its fast computing time. In this research, Directional Bicubic Interpolation was proposed which has advantages in fast computing time and maintains edge sharpness. The process of object tracking uses a combination (called Hybrid) of the CamShift and Kalman Filter methods. The results of the trials resulted in an average tracking precision of 71% without super-resolution processes and 92% with super-resolution with the Camshift method. Whereas tracking using a combination method produces an average tracking precision of 73% without super-resolution process and 93% with super-resolution. So it can be concluded that the addition of the super-resolution process and the Kalman Filter prediction causes the increased precision of the object tracking results. The integration of the Kalman Filter into the Camshift method yields faster average tracking time compared with only using the latter method in the entire video.

The student should be a master for science comprehension concepts, especially in material styles found in everyday life. The research aims to know influence approaching Contextual Teaching and Learning on the improve ability to comprehend the science concept. The experiment was carried out for 3 weeks involving 50 grade V elementary school students based on equal ability levels. pre-test and post-test refers to the falling motion material of an object due to gravitational force, how to enlarge and minimize friction force, as well as factors that influence the magnetic breakthrough force. As for each meeting an observation was carried out on 50 elementary school students conducted by the observer. The results of this test are processed and analyzed further using a t-test. The result showed that there is a significant difference between the ability of understanding concept students of experimental class using Contextual Teaching and Learning with control class students using direct learning method with pre-test post-test ≤ 0,05. Other than that the T test and N-gain of both classes showed the result of 0.000. That is approach Contextual Teaching and Learning influencing to improve understanding ability students' concept science learning method in elementary school.

Kawi Language is a kind of language which has developed in Java during the Hindu-Buddhist era in the ancient Indonesian archipelago. As the time passed, Kawi began to come to extinction. To overcome this, preservation of Kawi language can be done by enhancing the understanding of culture through the use of technology. technology that can be used for cultural preservation is one of NLP based applications such as Kawi Language to Bahasa Translator Application which is developed in this research. The translator application is an application that translates from one language to another. The result of translation of the translator application is a language that is easy to understand by the people or commonly used language. This translator application is developed to processes Kawi Language text into bahasa based on search method which each word inserted. The stemming method used is Bobby Nazief & Mima Adriani Algorithm using Kawi Language rule. The translated Kawi Language text can be a word, sentence or paragraph with the result of the Text in Bahasa as well as words, sentences or paragraphs. © The Authors, published by EDP Sciences, 2018.

The Accounting information System in the Drinking Water User Association (HIPPAM) is a system that manages the financial flow of an organization. In general, this information system manages customer data, water usage transactions, reports needed on web-based systems. This system has been running for 3 years. The purpose of this research is to produce the requirements for accounting information system software needed. This study uses the Reengineering Software Framework method, namely Business process Reengineering (BPR) which focuses on the reengineering framework of accounting information systems. The results of this study in addition to implementing the framework, also produce standard document content produced at each stage in the BPR. The implications of this study are expected to be used as a reference for future similar studies.

There are cases of patients with Acute Respiratory Infection (ARI) which are not handled quickly and appropriately at emergency department (ED), thus there should be a medium that can assist medical personnel in making decisions. This research proposes the development model of Clinical Group Decision Support Systems (CGDSS) named KLISPA models. KLISPA model can accommodate a screening process to the working diagnosis process of ARI by integrating Case Based Reasoning (CBR) and Groups Decision Support System (GDSS). Screening process completed by CBR using Nearest Neighbor method. This process helps medical personnel such as nurses, co asst doctors, and general practitioners to do screening to patients for determining the early solution to the disease. Meanwhile, the working diagnosis solved by GDSS uses the methods of Eckenrode, Extended TOPSIS and BoostVote. This process accommodates the needs of joint decision-making which involves groups of Decision Maker (DM) consisting of pediatrician, child lung specialist doctor, and the radiologist doctor.

Background There is insufficient evidence to provide recommendations for leisure-time physical activity among workers across various occupational physical activity *** study aimed to assess the association of leisure-time physical activity with cardiovascular and all-cause mortality across occupational physical activity *** This study utilized individual participant data from 21 cohort studies,comprising both published and unpublished *** criteria included individual-level data on leisure-time and occupational physical activity(categorized as sedentary,low,moderate,and high)along with data on all-cause and/or cardiovascular mortality.A 2-stage individual participant data meta-analysis was conducted,with separate analysis of each study using Cox proportional hazards models(Stage 1).These results were combined using random-effects models(Stage 2).Results Higher leisure-time physical activity levels were associated with lower all-cause and cardiovascular mortality risk across most occupational physical activity levels,for both males and *** males with sedentary work,high compared to sedentary leisure-time physical activity was associated with lower all-cause(hazard ratios(HR)=0.77,95%confidence interval(95%CI):0.70-0.85)and cardiovascular mortality(HR=0.76,95%CI:0.66-0.87)*** males with high levels of occupational physical activity,high compared to sedentary leisure-time physical activity was associated with lower all-cause(HR=0.84,95%CI:0.74-0.97)and cardiovascular mortality(HR=0.79,95%CI:0.60-1.04)risk,while HRs for low and moderate levels of leisure-time physical activity ranged between 0.87 and 0.97 and were not statistically *** females,most effects were similar but more imprecise,especially in the higher occupational physical activity *** Higher levels of leisure-time physical activity were generally associated with lower mortality ***,results for workers with moderate and high

The alarming rate of global mangrove forest degradation corroborates the need for providing fast, up-to-date and accurate mangrove maps. Conventional scene by scene image classification approach is inefficient and time consuming. The development of Google Earth Engine (GEE) provides a cloud platform to access and seamlessly process large amount of freely available satellite imagery. The GEE also provides a set of the state-of-the-art classifiers for pixel-based classification that can be used for mangrove mapping. This study is an initial effort which is aimed to combine machine learning and GEE for mapping mangrove extent. We used two Landsat 8 scenes over Agats and Timika Papua area as pilot images for this study; path 102 row 64 (2014/10/19) and path 103 row 63 (2013/05/16). The first image was used to develop local training areas for the machine learning classification, while the second one was used as a test image for GEE on the cloud. A total of 838 points samples were collected representing mangroves (244), non-mangroves (161), water bodies (311), and cloud (122) class. These training areas were used by support vector machine classifier in GEE to classify the first image. The classification result show mangrove objects could be efficiently delineated by this algorithm as confirmed by visual checking. This algorithm was then applied to the second image in GEE to check the consistency of the result. A simultaneous view of both classified images shows a corresponding pattern of mangrove forest, which mean the mangrove object has been consistently delineated by the algorithm.

Mangrove forest grows on tropical coastal areas and has an ecological role for its surrounding environment. Mangrove forest protects the coast from large waves and becomes a habitat for various marine fauna. It stores the highest densities of carbon among any other ecosystem globally. In Southeast Asia, Mangrove forest is highly biodiverse and contributes to the sustainability of the ecosystem. However, based on previous studies, mangrove forests are experiencing deforestation due to high demands of commodities and land use. In this study, we analyzed changes of land cover in Southeast Asia using several global land cover products produced between 2001 and 2012 and their correlation with mangrove deforestation based on Mangrove Forest Watch (CGMFC-21) data. LULC data products applied in this study were ESA CCI LC, MODIS LC, GlobCover. The analysis was carried out by calculating the rate of increase in mangrove deforestation and comparing it with changes in land cover that replaced the mangrove area temporally. The results of this study were land cover classes that replaced mangrove forest areas in the study period. Based on the results it could be concluded that the methods and products used influence the results. There are many sources of data products that might be used for future research, with other methods that are better so that they provide space for future research and development. Our study can be used as a consideration to implement policies that conserve mangrove forest across Southeast Asia.

Photonic technologies continue to drive the quest for new optical materials with unprecedented responses. A major frontier in this field is the exploration of nonlocal (spatially dispersive) materials, going beyond the local, wavevector-independent assumption traditionally made in optical material modeling. On one end, the growing interest in plasmonic, polaritonic and quantum materials has revealed naturally occurring nonlocalities, emphasizing the need for more accurate models to predict and design their optical responses. This has major implications also for topological, nonreciprocal, and time-varying systems based on these material platforms. Beyond natural materials, artificially structured materials—metamaterials and metasurfaces–can provide even stronger and engineered nonlocal effects, emerging from long-range interactions or multipolar effects. This is a rapidly expanding area in the field of photonic metamaterials, with open frontiers yet to be explored. In the case of metasurfaces, in particular, nonlocality engineering has become a powerful tool for designing strongly wavevector-dependent responses, enabling enhanced wavefront control, spatial compression, multifunctional devices, and wave-based computing. Furthermore, nonlocality and related concepts play a critical role in defining the ultimate limits of what is possible in optics, photonics, and wave physics. This Roadmap aims to survey the most exciting developments in nonlocal photonic materials, highlight new opportunities and open challenges, and chart new pathways that will drive this emerging field forward–toward new scientific discoveries and technological advancements. Quantum tunneling phenomenon allows a high-barrier reaction to occur even though thermal energy is not sufficient to surmount the barrier. The phenomenon has been suggested to exist in the isomerization of methylhydroxycarbene which occured at 11 K. Here we study the quantum tunneling that occured in the isomerization of methylhydroxycarbene to acetaldehyde and to vinyl alcohol based on density functional calculations. The isomerization pathways are determined under the effect of various solvents which are modeled by polarizable continuum model (PCM). We use Wentzel-Kramers-Brillouin (WKB) approximation to calculate the tunneling probability (T) and extend the usefulness of T into isomerization rate. The results show that the solvents give a significant effect on the isomerization rate of methylhydroxycarbene to acetaldehyde but an insignificant one on the isomerization rate to vinyl alcohol.
