Comparison of Geographically Weighted Regression (GWR) and Mixed Geographically Weighted Regression (MGWR) Models on the Poverty Levels in Central Java in 2023

Poverty is considered a serious global issue that must be immediately eradicated by Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 1, namely ending poverty anywhere and in any form. As a developing country, poverty is a complex issue faced by Indonesia. Tackling poverty in Indonesia has become a key focus of the government’s strategic priorities. This issue of poverty is experienced by all provinces in Indonesia, including Central Java. The poverty rate in Central Java stands at 10.77% or 3.79 million people. The causes of poverty are explained by several factors. Using these various factors, a mapping model can be conducted to determine the number of poor populations in Central Java. This research employs Geographically Weighted Regression (GWR) and Mixed Geographically Weighted Regression (MGWR) approaches to compare the effectiveness of these models in analyzing the number of poor populations in Central Java in 2023. The kernel function weighting used in this study is Fixed Gaussian. The results showed that the MGWR model outperformed both the OLS regression and GWR models, achieving an Akaike information Criterion (AIC) of 62.766, an R2 of 82.3%, and a Mean Squared Error (MSE) of 0.177. Consequently, it can be inferred that the MGWR model was more suitable for explaining the poverty levels in Central Java. © (2024), (International Association of Engineers). All Rights Reserved.

The purpose of this research is to build a system that can detect certain face among several people. The system works using face recognition in searching suspects from a database. 30 images and 9 videos are used for training and testing. In the training process carried out several stages: (1) pre-processing of face images, (2) extraction of facial image training features using the Histogram of Oriented Gradient (HOG) method, (3) face classification using the SVM method. There are several steps for testing process i.e.: (1) video frame extraction, (2) cascade classifier method with the Local Binary Pattern (LBP) feature descriptor, (3) HOG for extracting facial features detected in the frames, and (4) SVM as the face classifier. The processed video data is 1920x1080 pixel resolution which has been recorded using a CCTV camera which is mounted on a wall with height and slope angle of 2.5 meters and 60 degrees. There are two goals implemented in this research. The first goal is to find the highest accuracy from several testing of frame sampling by setting the best threshold value. Game development in 3D is mostly done by characters, items and the environment. Game items such as character weapons modeled in 3D will be the attraction of a game. In this paper, spear motion as a game items is modeled in 3D. Nonlinear Equations Six Degrees of Freedom (6 DOF) are used for mathematical models of spear motion. The parameters studied in the motion model are: geometry, mass and aerodynamics. Spear aerodynamic parameters were analyzed using the Datcom method. Numerical simulation of mathematical models of spear motion with variations in the initial velocity of the throw and the direction of the throw. From the results of numerical simulation, the maximum range R = 131.7 m at the initial velocity V0 = 40 m/s, the direction of throw (angle θ0 = 35 deg, angle φ0 = 10 deg, ψ0 = 0 deg). And the maximum height Hmax = 12.18 m is achieved at the initial velocity V0 = 20 m/s, direction of throw (angle θ0 = 35 deg, angle φ0 = 40 deg, angle ψ0 = 0 deg). © 2020 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

This research focuses on Sanur Harbor, an inter-island ferry port located in southern Bali. The majority of visitors to Sanur Harbor are tourists who want to travel to Nusa Penida Island. At this port, facilities are available in the form of a Public Address System (PAS) and information officers whose job is to provide information regarding the arrival and departure of ships. However, the effectiveness of this facility is limited for deaf people. Deaf people often have difficulty getting this information independently and often have to rely on manual assistance from officers. This research aims to develop software based on sign language video integration which aims to increase the accessibility of departure and arrival information at Sanur Harbor for deaf people in Bali. The software development method uses a user-centered design development approach which involves the stages of needs analysis, design, implementation, and evaluation. Sign language videos will be integrated into the software as a medium to convey important information about ship departure and arrival schedules, travel routes, pier names, fast boat names, and other important information to deaf users. Evaluation is carried out through user testing and collecting feedback from users regarding understandability, usability, and user satisfaction with the software being developed. It is hoped that the results of this research can make a positive contribution to increasing information accessibility for deaf people in Sanur Harbor and can become a basis for developing similar technology in other locations.

The patient's infusion fluid will only be changed if the nurse changes it or based on information from the patient's family. The research method used in terms of fluid volume utilizes the function of the Arduino microcontroller as the brain, the load cell sensor as an infusion fluid weight detector connected to the IoT, fuzzy logic calculations on the infusion volume weight measuring device in line with real-time decision-making when reading gram weight changes with sensors, and the system development method using a prototype model. The test results of three infusion bottles containing mineral water with a liquid volume of 500 ml and a load cell sensor as an infusion weight detector can be accepted by the Arduino Wemos D1 as a load cell sensor processing component. The infusion liquid weight data is uploaded to the MySQL database, and a notification is sent and displayed on the smartphone when the infusion volume reaches 12% of its weight. The results of this study indicate that the design of tools connected to applications on smartphones can work well and facilitate the process of monitoring infusions for patients in real-time

Technopreneurship represent a form of entrepreneurship that emphasizes entrepreneurial skills and technology. Studies on technopreneurship have been conducted, but research investigating antecedents of technopreneurship based on the entrepreneurial event model (EEM), is still limited. Most research on technopreneurship is dominated by the use of the theory of planned behavior (TPB). Therefore, this study aims to investigate the driving factors in EEM, namely perceived desirability, propensity to act, and perceived feasibility to technopreneurship intention. In addition, another purpose of this study is to explore technopreneurship intention towards technopreneurship commitment. To achieve this goal, the study used quantitative research design, primary data sources, and data collection methods using questionnaires. The sample in this study amounted to 240, with the sampling method using purposive sampling. Reliability, validity, and hypothesis testing using Smart-PLS software version 3. The results showed that perceived desirability affects technoprenurial intention, propensity to act affects technoprenurial intention, perceived feasibility affects technoprenurial intention, and technoprenurial intention affects technopreneurial commitment. © 2024 IEEE.

Kawi Language is a kind of language which has developed in Java during the Hindu-Buddhist era in the ancient Indonesian archipelago. As the time passed, Kawi began to come to extinction. To overcome this, preservation of Kawi language can be done by enhancing the understanding of culture through the use of technology. Technology that can be used for cultural preservation is one of NLP based applications such as Kawi Language to Bahasa Translator Application which is developed in this research. The translator application is an application that translates from one language to another. The result of translation of the translator application is a language that is easy to understand by the people or commonly used language. This translator application is developed to processes Kawi Language text into bahasa based on search method which each word inserted. The stemming method used is Bobby Nazief & Mima Adriani Algorithm using Kawi Language rule. Indonesia has entered a period of demographic bonus. Human resources must be optimized. The number of children who do not in employment, education or training (NEET) in each province needs attention. Several factors that could contribute to the decline in the NEET percentage are literacy rates and the number of adolescents with computer skills. Increasing these two factors is believed to be able to reduce the percentage of NEET in every province in Indonesia. To find out the relationship between these two factors and how much influence they have on the percentage of NEET, this research is modeled by Cauchy regression and includes spatial effects. The results of the analysis show that the best model is when the spatial effect is modeled by Fernandez Steel Skew Normal conditionally autoregressive (FSSN CAR). This result is seen from the smallest value of the Watanabe Akaike information Criterion (WAIC) in this model, which is 190.5. The parameter estimated shows that the higher the literacy rate and the number of adolescents with computer skills, the lower the percentage of NEET in each province in Indonesia. The results of this research can be useful for the Indonesian government to increase the number of educational facilities related to these two factors. © (2024), (International Association of Engineers). Citrus Limon L. (Lemon) is a type of fruit that is currently widely consumed, because it contains abundant vitamin C, fiber, and antioxidants. This fruit have high potential in the agribusiness sector and is widely cultivated by traditional farmers. However, during harvest time, traditional farmers generally still use manual methods using the human eye in distinguishing the maturity level of lemons which is less efficient because it has a low accuracy. Digital image processing is one solution to this problem. In the research on the classification of lemon maturity levels using digital image processing with the feature extraction method of the Mean RGB, HSV, and LBP methods and the K-Nearest Neighbor classification algorithm in this study, a total of 120 lemon images were used which were divided into 80 training image data and 40 image data. testing. The results of model performance measurements in the form of the highest accuracy level in the Mean RGB method of 100%, the highest accuracy in the HSV method of 98%, and the highest accuracy in the LBP method of 82.5%.

Coffee is one of the plantation crops that has long been a cultivated plant in Indonesia. The classification of coffee fruit maturity manually still has several weaknesses and requires a long process, has low accuracy and is inconsistent, this is because the determination is made subjectively by coffee farmers. As for the classification of coffee fruit maturity levels automatically, it can be faster with objective determination, therefore the use of image processing is relatively easier, faster, and based on a quantified descriptive assessment to determine coffee maturity. Image Processing is a method used to process or manipulate images in 2-dimensional form. In the classification process, there are many methods used to obtain classification of objects based on training data. One of the algorithms used for the classification process is K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN). KNN is a classification technique for objects based on training data that is the closest or has similar characteristics to the object. KNN includes supervised learning algorithms, where the results of the new query instance are classified based on the majority of the categories in K-Nearest Neighbors (K-NN). The finding indicated that class classification of ripe and unripe were 88,24 % and 100% respectively with 93,33% accuracy level. © 2023 IEEE.
