At this time began to be revived the use of local materials. This is based on aesthetic and economic considerations. Therefore, researchers are encouraged to examine the knowledge of the utilization of local resources, especially nipah leaves. In Petoaha Sub District, Abeli District, Kendari City is located Kampung KB (Family Planning). Kampung KB is a former village of Bajo ethnic landed (formerly living on water). Mothers in Kampung KB are busy making roof material from nipah leaves. The leaves are taken from the palm trees that grow around Kampung KB. The phenomenon in the field that leaves soaked in sea water for 1-3 days before the roof is made. According to them that the leaves are soaked in sea water has a long lifetime compared to leaves that are not soaked in sea water. Based on their experience that watersoaked leaves have a lifetime for 3-4 years, can even reach 6-7 years when the roof thickness reaches 10 layers of palm leaves. Nipah leaves do not soak sea water has age wear for 2-3 years. This research is aimed to test the nipah leaf of marine water and nipah leaves do not soak the sea water against the period of usage. Metode plate count digunakan dalam penelitian ini. The plate count method to test the total microbial between fresh nipah leaf and nipah leaves is soaked in sea water. This study concluded that the bacteria on the nipah leaf soak the sea water is lower. Nipah leaves soaked sea water has a lifetime longer than nipah leaves do not soak sea water made roof material.

SCOR (Supply Chain Operations Reference) model is a tool for diagnosing Supply Chain Management (SCM) that allows users to understand all processes in a business organization. This study aimed to analyze activities related to Green Supply Chain Management (GSCM), especially in the palm oil sector, and to determine the performance of Green Supply Chain Management (GSCM) at PT. Sutopo Lestari Jaya using the green score model. The results showed that the highest Green Objectives (GO) weight in environmentally friendly garden management was located on protected forest land used as plantation land by 38.82%, while waste minimization was found in Crude palm oil water content of 48%. Meanwhile, in minimizing and handling greenhouse gas emissions, the highest weight is found in the amount of fuel used in Fresh Fruit Bunch (FFB) shipments of 54.07%. For plantation management and palm oil management mills, the highest weight is in the percentage of water use per ton of FFB in PPKS 60.7%, while in waste management, the highest percentage lies in the standardized wastewater Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD) of 38.8%. In maximizing the use of new and renewable energy, the highest weight lies in renewable energy per tonne of FFB and the use of solid waste (empty shells and shells) as a substitute for fossil fuels of 45.5% each. Computation of the greenery-sky-view factor in daylit buildings

The greenery-view factor has been recently proposed as a new, simple measure to assess the possibility of having visual access to view the outdoor greenery in a daylit building space, based on the constructed lines of sight. However, detailed expressions to compute the factor is yet to be provided, and correlations with the input variables are yet to be determined. This study aims to address those issues, by combining the 'no-greenery line' with the 'no-sky line' to create the greenery-sky-view factor (GSVF), which is the fraction of the floor area, at the eye-level height, from which the greenery and the sky are visible. Mathematical expressions to compute the GSVF are described for various scenarios involving the window-to-wall ratio, the elevation of the greenery, and the distance between the window and the greenery. Computations of 10,000 random combinations are performed to find the optimum input variables leading to the largest GSVF and to determine correlations between the input and output. Recommendations for design practice are provided based on the computation results.

Heat transfer between occupied and unoccupied zone in large space building with floor-level side wall air-supply system

The air supply terminal located at the floor level attached to side-wall is widely used in large space buildings, leading to potential energy saving as well as significant vertical thermal stratification. The cooling load calculation of such system is challenging, especially the calculation of the load gained from unoccupied zone. This paper adopts experiment and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) methods to study the heat transfer upward and downward across the stratified surface in large space building with floor-level side wall air-supply system. Five experimental cases with different heat source power and exhaust airflow ratios are performed to study their effects on the indoor thermal environment. We investigate the same cases in CFD and verify the result of vertical temperature distribution and cooling load components. As a critical parameter in evaluating the thermal stratification environment of large space building, the inter-zonal heat transfer coefficient Cb is emphatically discussed. By comparing the Cb value obtained through the two methods, the accuracy of the microscopic method is verified by the heat balance method. The results show that the Cb value is mainly affected by the zonal division and air distribution, but less prominently by exhaust airflow ratio and heat source in the occupied zone.

Being the earliest traditional market in Yogyakarta, the market of Beringharjo, known as Pasar Beringharjo , has had cultural meaning since it was built in 1758. It has been standing near Keraton Nyayogyakarta Hadiningrat as a reflection of the Sultanate's power and autonomy. The purpose of this paper is to describe the diversity of social-activities taken place in the market through retail activities that embodied the philosophy of Javanese culture. The writings are the result of observing activities that create a distinctive atmosphere, and interviewing communities, which retain their tradition as cultural heritage. The method used for describing the topic is based on Norberg-Schultz's theory of genius loci . As a conclusion, preserving Pasar Beringharjo as a socio-cultural place will maintain Javanese culture, which in turn, will strengthen the existence of Pasar Beringharjo in Yogyakarta.

A declining trend of Samosir Panorusan goat population has been identified. As the Panorusan is an endemic and endangered species goat where the pure breed only 250,000 heads left, a research was conducted in order to find the cause factors for declining trend of population from April to June 2018 in Pangururan District, Samosir Regency. The method used was multiple linier regression analysis with variabel limitations such as goat feed, disease, breeders'experience, local culture and marketing rate of productive ewe. This research was conducted by asking directly to Panorusan goat breeders. The total of 55 goat breeders was divided into 2-3 breeders/villages. The results of this study indicated that the variable of local culture was significantly as a dominant factor that causing a declining trend of Samosir Panorusan goat population. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

This research is a preliminary study on the use of sago midrib as an acoustic material. This study aims to determine the sago as acoustic material by measuring the absorption coefficient using (impedance tube method) of 100 Hz-1.6 KHz frequencies. The results of measurement were analyzed and compared with common acoustic material available on market as reference. From the measurement of the sago midrib composite, absorption coefficient has fluctuated from low to high frequencies as the absorption coefficient of reference material is found to be more stable. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Lighting design is one of the priorities in designing buildings. Natural lighting can reduce energy consumption in buildings. Aesthetic levels are the basis of the planning concept, but need to pay attention to the concept of using natural lighting, in order to realize the energy-efficient building design. The purpose of the study was to determine how the level of illuminance affects the opening area, depth of space and height of the building. Quantitative research method is to analysis statistical data from measurements of illuminance levels in space. The results of the study concluded that the level of illuminance in the meeting room of the Center of Technology building in Hasanuddin University exceeded the illuminance standard. The extent of openings in the building envelope affects the illuminance level in space. Natural light distribution affects the height of the building's floor and the depth of space. Based on this conclusion, it is expected that in designing a building it is necessary to pay attention to the building facade, so that the distribution of natural light is not too high into the building and to avoid negative effects such as glare, high brightness and contrast. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

From clothing to culinary industries: creativity in the making of place

Creative clusters in many Western and Asian cities are predominantly established through policy-making and the involvement of government and private institutions. This paper investigates another way creative industries emerge, whereby individual initiatives of creative young people transform a colonial residential quarter into creative clusters. The creativity of young people has brought life and diversity to a mono-functional urban area by seizing new opportunities for small-scale business practices. The paper is based on a field survey and mapping of 80 clothing and culinary industries at Trunojoyo quarter in Bandung, Indonesia, that contributed to the nomination of Bandung as UNESCO City of Design in 2015. The young people of Bandung exhibit tactical strategies in the emergence of creative clusters and exercise informal processes and social networks as catalysts for growing creative industries. They reveal how youthful energy and creativity within everyday life brings about something that is rational and practical in creating an experiential place and making an historical quarter into a place of high economic performance.

Revisiting the role of international climate finance (ICF) towards achieving the nationally determined contribution (NDC) target: A case study of the Indonesian energy sector

Climate change has impacted development progress and increased global inequality. Therefore, all emitters, both developed and developing countries, must implement climate change mitigation and adaptation actions. Indonesia is one of the developing countries that signed the Paris Agreement. In its NDC document, Indonesia has pledged to reduce greenhouse gases emission by 29% using domestic resources (unconditional) and 41% with international support (conditional) from the business as usual (BAU) scenario by 2030. This commitment gives Indonesia the right to take advantage of various types of support, including ICF opportunities offered by the ADB through the non-UNFCCC financial scheme and the Global Green Growth Institute through the UNFCCC financial mechanism. This paper explores to what extent ICF supports the achievement of Indonesia's Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) target. The study uses qualitative analysis to provide a general overview of ICF in Indonesia, its climate finance strategies, and the case study of the energy sector. The study finds that ICF in Indonesia continues to develop, albeit with many limitations. Several ICF channels could be utilized more optimally such as, loan and grant instruments. Indonesia cannot rely solely on international support to meet its enormous climate finance needs;it must develop innovative financing through various instruments, such as green sukuk. ICF also plays a role in facilitating the energy transition from coal-based to renewable energy sources and increasing energy efficiency.
