Aims this study to analyze rehabilitation exercises using sensor data embedded in smartphones is widely used to recognize human activities regularly to gain a better understanding of human behavior. However, it is rarely used to measure accelerators of patient movement in hospital wards. This paper proposes an optimized neural network-based feature extraction approach based on the Long Short Term Memory technique to recognize human activity using data from a tri-axial accelerometer. The activity to be measured is the Range of Motion for patient rehabilitation, and rehabilitation exercises are one of the most important steps for recovery. The results of the softmax regression trained on the dataset set have 1, 076, 105 records and 12 class attributes (class distribution). The experimental results on the SAR dataset show that our Long Short Term Memory-based approach is practical and successful, with an accuracy of 89.74%. © 2021 IEEE.

Companies that are ready to compete must have effective management. To improve employee performance in effective management, it is necessary to support competent and competent employees in their fields. Employees who have an attitude of struggle, dedication, discipline, and professional ability are very likely to have work performance in carrying out their duties so that they are more efficient and effective. To increase employee morale, the Company will reward the best employees and be loyal to the company. This is done as an appreciation for what the employee has done for the company in achieving the company's targets. Decision making to determine the best employees can be done by the company by assessing the performance that has been done by its employees within a certain period of time. Employee performance appraisal is influenced by several criteria, namely attitude, attendance, performance and Service Period. The decision support system for selecting the best employees uses the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method, where the decision-making process is carried out by assessing alternative choices based on predetermined criteria and can also help the Company to make the best employee decisions. The alternative matrix calculation yields a score of 25.1% for Safrizal, 25.8% for Dedek Rizky, 25.1% for Amira Syakira and 24.0% for Reni Kumala, and the employee who is recommended as the best employee is the employee with the highest score, namely Dedek Rizky with a score of 25.8%. © 2021 IEEE.

education about health sciences has historically been limited in the curriculum of health professionals and largely inaccessible to the public. In practice, most of the health science education is still running conventionally. Supposedly with the advancement of technology and the use of the internet everywhere, learning such as e-learning can be important, especially in the health sector. Until this research was conducted, only 514 academic documents about e-learning in health sciences were found for 20 years from 2001 to 2020, obtained in searching on the Scopus database. This study presents a comprehensive overview of studies related to E-learning in the Health Sciences sector. This study uses bibliometric analysis and indexed digital methods to map scientific publications throughout the world. This research employs the Scopus database to gather information, as well as the Scopus online analysis tool and Vosviewer to show the bibliometric network. The method consists with five stages: determining search keywords, initial search results, refinement of search results, initial compilation, and data analysis. Among the most published and indexed articles by Scopus, papers published by researchers in the United States have the highest number of publications (80), followed by United Kingdom (63) and Australia with 45 academic publications. The processed data shows the pattern and trend of increasing the number of international publications in E-learning in Health Sciences field, which Scopus index. © 2022 Elsevier B.V.. This article examines the issue of load imbalance in electric power distribution systems, which leads to current flow in the neutral conductor of transformers. The study aims to investigate the impact of load imbalance on neutral current and losses in the transformer. The analysis reveals that a load imbalance of 24% during the day results in a large neutral current of 109 A and increased losses due to neutral current flowing to the ground (8.47%). The findings highlight the significance of load balancing in reducing losses and improving the efficiency of electric power distribution systems. The study provides insights for researchers and practitioners to develop strategies for load balancing to mitigate the effects of load imbalance on transformer losses.

The Covid-19 pandemic has emphasized the critical role of mask-wearing in reducing virus transmission. However, declining public awareness necessitates effective monitoring solutions. This study explores the Single Shot Multibox Detector (SSD) approach, a Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN)-based object detection method, for mask detection. Specifically, we investigate the performance of the SSD model with the ResNet50 architecture as the base network. Through the analysis of a dataset comprising 1000 images of individuals wearing and not wearing masks, the SSD model with ResNet50 achieves an impressive accuracy of 98.23%, surpassing the VGG16-based model's accuracy of 93.56%. These findings underscore the superiority of the CNN-based SSD model with ResNet50 for mask detection. Moreover, they have significant implications for real-time monitoring and enforcing mask-wearing protocols, emphasizing the importance of public awareness and adherence. Leveraging advanced AI techniques, such as CNN-based object detection with SSD, strengthens public health initiatives. The development of robust and efficient mask detection systems contributes to creating a safer environment amid the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. This research highlights the value of harnessing these advanced technologies to effectively address public health crises. By employing CNN-based SSD with ResNet50, society can enhance its ability to mitigate risks and ensure public safety.

Electronic devices and appliances have become quintessential part of households with the recent development and integration of a home automation system with numerous client modules, including a remote mobile host controller, as in offices, home appliances etc.. Through Bluetooth, the client modules communicate with the host controller such as an Android smart phone. This paper presents a prototype can be implemented in practice with maximum efficiency keeping the security feature in mind.

Fabrication of PSf/P84-blended membranes with low P84 content: Characteristics and gas separation performance

The demand for efficient and sustainable gas separation technologies is ever-increasing in various industries, including petrochemicals, natural gas processing, and carbon capture. Polymer-based membranes offer a promising solution due to their potential for high selectivity and energy efficiency. However, achieving optimal gas separation performance often requires overcoming the limitations of individual polymers through modifications such as polymer blending. In this study, PSf/P84 blended membranes with low P84 content were fabricated using the phase separation technique with a mixture of N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone and tetrahydrofuran as solvents. The effect of varying the mass ratio of PSf to P84 on membrane characteristics and gas separation performance was investigated. Characterization techniques included FTIR, XRD, SEM, TGA, Water Contact Angle (WCA) measurement, and mechanical property testing. Gas permeation tests were conducted with single gases at room temperature and 1 bar pressure. The results revealed that the addition of P84 increased membrane thickness, Young's modulus, and thermal stability, while decreasing d-spacing, dense layer thickness, hydrophilicity, tensile strength, and elongation. The F_index values, indicating the competence of the blended membranes compared to the ideal quality, demonstrated the positive impact of P84 addition on gas separation performance compared to pure PSf membranes. The optimal gas separation selectivity was achieved with the PSf/P84 1:0.025 blended membrane for H₂/CH₄ (11.28, 58 % increase), H₂/CO₂ (6.25, 193 % increase), and H₂/N₂ (5.25, 35 % increase). The highest N₂/CH₄ selectivity (6.29, 253 % increase) was observed with the 1:0.10 composition. Regarding commercially relevant separations based on the 2008 Robeson curve, the PSf/P84 1:0.20 blend showed promise for H₂/CO₂ separation, while the 1:0.

This study examines how a community in Yogyakarta, Indonesia reacts to the closing of local landfills. It identifies different groups within the community, such as those primarily concerned with health and aesthetics, those exhibiting proactive behaviors, and those acutely aware of the broader impacts. These groups show varying responses to the closures, from adjusting personal habits to calling for policy changes. The findings suggest a need for policies that are flexible and considerate of the community's diverse priorities and behaviors. In conclusion, landfill closures have complex effects on communities that require a thoughtful analysis. The study shows that personal choices and proactive behaviors are crucial in encouraging community involvement in waste management. However, there's a hesitancy to pay more for such services, indicating a gap in community responsibility and environmental stewardship. The research advocates for sustainable waste management solutions that are aligned with the community's values and behaviors, urging policymakers to design inclusive and sustainable systems for waste management that support the long-term well-being of both the community and the environment. © 2024

This study delves into the Bromo magnitude of the fire incident in Indonesia, a notable tourism destination, uncovering significant gaps in knowledge regarding tourist-induced forest fires. We comprehensively analyze the incident's environmental, economic, social, and tourism impacts. Environmentally, the fire caused severe damage to the region's ecosystems, upsetting ecological balances and diminishing air quality. This has far-reaching effects on flora, fauna, and the sustainability of natural resources. Forest fires release a significant amount of pollutants into the air, including carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, particulate matter, and other harmful compounds. These pollutants can significantly degrade air quality, leading to health issues for humans and animals. The forest fire in the Bromo region of Indonesia had a profound impact, both economically and environmentally. The closure of the Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park drastically reduced tourism, leading to an 80 % drop in hotel occupancy and severe losses for local businesses like jeep rentals, eateries, and souvenir shops. Economically, this resulted in a significant decrease in Non-Tax State Revenue. Environmentally, the fire destroyed over 50 hectares of land, severely damaging the national park's ecosystems and affecting biodiversity. The smoke and heat from the fire also led to poor air quality and potential health risks for local residents, as well as adverse effects on nearby agriculture, increasing stress and anxiety in the community. The study emphasizes the urgent need for stringent regulations, effective community engagement, and educational initiatives in forest conservation areas, particularly those attracting tourists. Our findings offer critical insights for policymakers, local authorities, and stakeholders in the tourism sector, highlighting the necessity of balancing environmental protection with the growth of the global travel industry. © 2024 The Author(s)

One of the solutions for fossil fuel crisis is to find alternative energy based on renewable materials. In this research, catalytic cracking of used cooking oil has been investigated to produce biofuel using Cr-charcoal catalyst. The charcoal was produced from solid waste (shell) of palm oil industry. Chromium solutions with various concentrations (1%, 2%, and 3%) were impregnated into charcoal to produce Cr-charcoal catalyst. The catalysts were used for catalytic cracking of used cooking oil at three levels of temperature: 450°C, 500°C and 550°C. The XRD patterns and SEM images of the catalyst showed that the catalyst was in amorphous form. SEM-EDX analysis showed that the Chromium was impregnated into charcoal successfully with amount of Chromium absorbed into charcoal was 0.51%;1.07% and 14.38% respectively. The SEM images also showed that charcoal as supported catalyst and Cr-charcoal catalyst have unique pores. The highest liquid oil fraction was obtained by catalytic cracking at 500°C using 3% Cr-Charcoal catalyst. The liquid product of this process was mainly diesel oil with 8-24 carbon atoms (86.35%) and the rest was liquid product with 6-7 carbon atoms. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
