The problems and challenges for the government in seeing disease growth trend patterns are very important. This research focuses on infectious diseases, namely Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF), while non-communicable illnesses focus on epilepsy and thalassemia in 2023-2024. The priority in this research is that the Health Service can take action to prevent disease distribution patterns that are seen based on the results of identifying patterns and trends using the fuzzy c-means model and mapping for each region. The research methodology includes collecting patient data, inputted by recorded medical data consisting of sub-district data and the number of incidents. The research results of the Fuzzy C-means model in analyzing infectious disease trend patterns show 3 clusters. The first cluster of vulnerable areas has four sub-districts: Sawang, Syamtalira Bayu, Dewantara and Muara Batu. Then, the second cluster still consists of 18 sub-districts. Finally, the safe cluster consists of 8 sub-districts. Meanwhile, the results of the ward model research showed that there were 2 clusters, namely vulnerable consisting of 19 sub-districts and safe eight sub-districts, which were then included in the spatial map. Meanwhile, analysis of non-communicable disease patterns using fuzzy c-means, namely thalassemia and epilepsy in cluster C1 (High) in 4 and 7 sub-districts, medium cluster in 9 and 7, and low cluster in 14 and 16 sub-districts. Therefore, this research can provide an important picture for the Health Service in analyzing trends in cluster patterns of growth of infectious and non-communicable diseases in children. © 2023 IEEE.

Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) is a technique that uses real-Time brain impulses to connect with and control external devices. BCI provides a new method for controlling external devices by translating brain signals into computer commands, facilitating the daily lives of people with disabilities and enhancing their ability to exhibit expected behavior. A Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) system based on Electroencephalography (EEG) was built to control the robotic arm. The EEG signals utilized included both eyes blinking, the right eye, the left eye, and the jaw contraction. EEG data were recorded from seven healthy subjects. The threshold approach is used to classify EEG signals, with the feature employed being the amplitude of the EEG signal. The highest threshold value for the blinking signal was 0.6 mV with an accuracy of 97.9%, while the best threshold value for jaw contraction was 0.4 mV with an accuracy of 93.34 percent. The healthy, inexperienced participants took part in system testing. The total results of testing each robot movement yielded an overall success rate of 84.52 percent. Therefore, it was determined that the system could facilitate the operation of the length robot even if the user lacked prior experience with EEG-based systems. © 2023 IEEE.

This research aims to determine the level of numeracy literacy skills of prospective physics teachers. This research uses descriptive research with a quantitative approach. The subjects of this research were prospective physics teachers who took part in waves courses and electromagnetic wave spectrum practicums in the physics education study program at Surabaya State University in 2 classes, with 23 people in each class. The instruments used are 3 test questions that measure literacy skills (finding information, interpreting, evaluating) and 8 questions that measure numeracy skills, namely, numeracy, reasoning, and application. The research data was analyzed quantitatively and descriptively. The results of the research showed that variations in the level of numeracy literacy skills before the atomic spectrum practicum activity were in the basic category, with an average of 49.5% of students having answered correctly as many as 46 students, then they were given treatment by carrying out EM wave practicum, the numeracy literacy abilities of students after being given the treatment were in the category requiring special intervention, there were 5 people, in the basic category there were 10 people, in the advanced category there were 18 people. In the very advanced category, there were 7 people. Overall, students have quite good abilities in finding information, interpreting information, evaluating information, and understanding information, which is in the advanced category with a percentage of correct answers of 74.12%, 72.98%, 72.70%, and 71, respectively. At the same time, the indicators of applying information and reasoning are still in the basic category at 32.46%. So, it can be concluded that students' numeracy literacy skills are quite good. However, several other treatments are still needed to improve literacy and numeracy skills. © 2024 Institute of Physics Publishing. All rights reserved.

Waste is a problem in almost every region, especially related to how the processing of waste can be converted into other forms as a form of energy that can be utilized, one of which is waste processing by pyrolysis is one of the technologies to convert waste into useful energy or fuel. At this time waste processing requires waste processing machines ranging from organic and un-organic waste shredding machines, briquette processing machines, pellets, using star-delta 3-phase motors, generally still conventional/manually. Current research, the author began to develop a waste and flue gas particle handling machine, a non-incinerator pyrolysis machine with the wet method, a high efficiency cyclone system which originally used a machine manually/ conventionally, replaced with a Delta series Star - Delta series with interlock and interface) automatically. Garbage processing The machine in addition to aiming to reduce waste waste, the machine must be made automatically and friendly to the operator who runs it. © 2023 IEEE.

This research investigates the effectiveness of geopolymer concrete incorporating fly ash in environments rich in chlorides;in contrast to conventional Portland cement concrete (OPC). The study emphasizes essential characteristics such as workability, mechanical strength, capillary water absorption, open porosity, and chloride migration. The experiments demonstrated that geopolymer concrete exhibits a 30% enhancement in slump values, reflecting improved workability, and its compressive strength rose by 14.90–23.94% when compared with OPC. A significant reduction in binder content led to a notable decrease in capillary water absorption, highlighting a positive impact on long-term durability. With time, geopolymer concrete showed a reduction in open porosity and chloride migration coefficient, indicating better resistance to chloride penetration in marine settings. Although these outcomes underscore the potential of geopolymer concrete to improve structural durability, especially in marine infrastructure, additional optimization is required to tackle its relatively higher capillary water absorption and chloride migration during the initial stages. These results contribute to the ongoing investigation of sustainable building materials, offering valuable insights into geopolymer concrete’s ability to endure severe chloride exposure and serve as a durable solution for corrosion management in marine infrastructure. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Shiraz University 2024.

The aims of this research are to (1) Design and build a Batik Industrial Waste Monitoring and Control System Based on the Internet of Things (BIWMCS -IoT);(2) Test the performance of the BIWMCS-IoT system. The design and implementation of the BIWMCS-IoT system consist of five stages, namely: (1) Needs analysis, (2) Design, consisting of electronic planning, hardware, and software;(3) Development, including hardware and software development;(4) Testing, and (5) implementation. The BIWMCS-IoT system consists of a sensor unit to measure the parameters of water turbidity, temperature, Power of Hydrogen (pH), and the flow velocity of the wastewater then obtained by the microcontroller and the results are sent to the Wi-Fi module to adjust the solenoid valve opening and closing. Based on the testing of the system, has been shown that the BIWMCS-IoT system can work well according to the standards in the Minister of Indonesian Environment Regulation Number 05 of 2014. The reading accuracy of the batik waste monitoring system reaches 96.6% with the delivery time to the smartphone less than 30 seconds. This shows that this system can work well to monitor and control the liquid waste produced by the batik industry. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

The objective of this research is to design and develop an integrated landslide early detection system at Tower Number Eight, 150 kV Gianyar. The research is expected to result in the construction of a communication system based on LoRa technology that will serve to reduce the potential damage from landslides. In order to achieve this, several parameters must be considered as benchmarks. These include RSSI, SNR, BER and PDR. The device operates by monitoring changes in position, soil moisture and rainfall, and then transmitting the data via LoRa technology. At the sink, the data is recorded and monitored for RSSI, SNR, PDR and BER values. In the test, the source 1 node, situated 300 metres away, exhibited an RSSI value of -100 to -109 dBm and an SNR value of 6.75 to -6.7 in both sunny and rainy weather, with a PDR value of 100%. The source 2 node, situated 600 metres away, exhibited an RSSI value of -97 to -109 dBm and an SNR value of 8.5 to -11.75 dB, with a PDR value of 70 to 100%. It should be noted that the number of bits in the sensor data sent is always complete. This is evidenced by the bit error ratio (BER) value, which is always 0 on both source nodes. © 2024 IEEE.

Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) is a part of the practical courses in educational institutions. This research was aimed at investigating: (1) students' knowledge of OSH used in practical courses, (2) students' attitudes toward OSH, and (3) the implementation of OSH in practical courses in the Electronics engineering education study program, faculty of engineering, Yogyakarta State University. It is a non-experimental study employing a quantitative descriptive approach. This study was conducted in the Electronics engineering education study program, faculty of engineering, Yogyakarta State University from February to June 2018. The subject of this study included students, lecturers, and technicians. Students' knowledge of OSH in practical courses in the Electronics study program is good (74.2%). Their attitudes toward OSH are also good (92.2%). Although some students do not implement OSH procedures when conducting practical courses, the implementation of OSH in the study program is categorized good (63.3%). Furthermore, more intensive studies on the importance OSH implementation in practical courses needs to done. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Digital picture or image becomes more and more important in people's daily life, such as for administration, documentation, active communications, and learning processes. People also demand the exchange of information through digital applications and social media. Taking picture or photo of a document, book, certificate, or thing is usually done by the help of digital scanner, but not all these stuffs can be converted into digital with a scanner. In specific condition people need real image transfer and will take photo of the real view directly using their own digital camera or smartphone camera. From author experience and observations, when taking photos of a document or book or certificate or thing normally with plastic cover or glass surface or bouncing surface, we clearly got an annoying light came from the camera focus light or flash that usually creates noise and messy image. This research was conducted based on the idea to remove or avoid getting the unwanted or disturbing light while taking photos of glossy or bouncing surfaces. A procedure to get a clear and smooth image instead of noise and broken image was derived and implemented by author using light guiding and image warping. These two methods bring accurate images that are necessary for communication needs and facilitate better future works without compromising security policies and people's rights. As the research methodology, author performed literature study, observation, analysis, and implementation. The result of this research offers a good procedure and method that can help people getting clear photos or pictures of a glossy or bouncing surface, advance research to be implemented related to camera technology, and best comprehension to improve photography techniques for future developments. © 2022 ACM.

Geotourism is rapidly experiencing rapid growth in developing countries, such as Indonesia, and it is a component of sustainable tourism. In addition, the country has many areas of geodiversity in cities or towns that potentially can become urban geotourism destinations, such as the Bandung Basin area. This region is characterized by geological features, including young volcanic rocks surrounding the mountains, alluvial fans, and lake deposits at lower elevations extending from Rancaekek to the base of Mount Lagadar in the western part of the area. Therefore, this research aims to analyze the respective roles of stakeholders in urban geotourism development. The study used literature review and interview methodology, where data was interpreted with stakeholder analysis, and complemented by descriptive analysis. The results showed that stakeholders were divided into primary (quadrant 1), key (quadrant 2), and secondary (quadrant 3) categories, each with distinct interests and degree of influence. As urban tourism expands, it presents ongoing opportunities to cultivate sustainable practices within these locales. The establishment of urban geotourism necessitates the identification and evaluation of engaged stakeholders. The subsequent planning and management initiatives for the Bandung Basin area can be enhanced through the active participation of stakeholders. © 2025 Elsevier B.V.
