Bioethanol has many functions both as a chemical, food and as a source of energy. The development of bioethanol production is currently leading to the residue of the main product. So that in this study the biomass of arena or Arenga Pinatta was used with a large availability of waste. Therefore, a performance and economic analysis was carried out in the production of bioethanol from palm biomass with ionic liquid (IL) using SuperPro Designer (SPD) Software. As a preparatory stage, the process of testing the characteristics of the biomass is carried out to obtain the most optimal composition of palm sugar in bioethanol production. After simulating the conditions according to the experimental process on the most optimal palm biomass composition, it was found that the most optimal Ionic Liquid (IL) and biomass ratio was at 0.5 g/g with the ethanol concentration obtained at 90.6 g/L at 13 hours which corresponds to theoretical yield of 96% conversion of biomass to ethanol. Meanwhile, the production of ethanol in a factory for energy can minimize the price of ethanol by 30% from the initial price. Thus, with the abundant availability of biomass, bioethanol production with aren biomass has the potential to be developed in Indonesia. © 2023 Institute of Physics Publishing. All rights reserved.

The purpose of this study was to obtain pie susu mocaf-spirulina products with local fruit varieties (pineapple and Balinese grapes). Mocaf (modified cassava flour) has characteristics similar to low protein flour and gluten free. Spirulina is a type of blue-green algae that is considered a super food because of its nutritional properties that are very good for health. The research method includes 1) experimental trials of the formula for mocaf spirulina pie susu, in the variation of the addition of spirulina to the formulation of mocaf pie susu 2) conduct an Organoleptic Test, with an instrument using the Visual Analog Score (VAS) for the Hedonic test (preference) 3) Perform an Organoleptic Test, with an instrument using VAS for the Hedonic Quality test (quality). The results showed: 1) obtained a pastry formulation (skin) of mocaf pie susu with the addition of 2.5 gr of spirulina (0.5% of the weight of the ingredients) ained mocaf pie susu formulation with the addition of 2.5gr spirulina to mocaf pie susu with pineapple and grape vla;2) The level of preference for mocaf spirulina pie susu (pineapple vla and grape vla) is the color of the likes category, the texture of the likes, the aroma of the likes and the taste of the likes. 3) the quality level of mocaf spirulina pie susu (pineapple vla and grape vla) is greenish color, crunchy texture, pastry fragrant aroma and sweet taste. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Waste generation from food manufacturing facilities poses a serious hazard like environmental degradation, water pollution, and land pollution due to its high nutrient composition. Specifically, solid waste(powder) disposal requires additional energy sources in terms of scientific treatment, structured collection, and disposal packaging according to the safety regulation. Thus, this research discusses the viewpoint of integrating food processing waste as an organic carbon source with BG-11 medium for Chlorella vulgaris(FSP-E) growth. The food processing waste powders investigated in this study were obtained from milk, and biscuit manufacturing facilities. The culture medium was modified by combining both BG-11 and food processing waste powders to identify the optimal algal growth and biochemical *** to the microalgae grown in BG-11 alone(IBG), the combination of biscuit waste and IBG produced higher biomass concentration(44%), with increased lipid(11%), protein(20%), and carbohydrate(57%) contents. Chlorella vulgaris was able to uptake nutrients from the culture medium with combination of food processing waste and IBG thus enhancing its growth. The results obtained also indicate that an integrated culture system using food processing waste and synthetic sources can generate energy out of waste by improving the bio-composition of the microalgae biomass.

Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) has a spirit to become a Conservation and International Reputation University is realized through strategic missions. One of the conservation-oriented implementation programs is H-BAT (Green, Clean and Healthy) program. In its implementation, there is a problem, namely the achievement of H-BAT program has not been maximized during the last 3 years in assessment. The objectives of this research are: (1) to identify of the potential and character of environmental support in the work units;(2) to determine the achievement of the indication of a green campus based on the assessment indicators on H-BAT program. This research was carried out in four stages: (1) Data collection;(2) Spatial data processing;(3) Non Spatial data processing;(4) Analysis (ecological, technical standards);The results achieved in June 2020 are as follows: FT got 87,50%, FE got 85,87%, FMIPA got 81,52%, BUHK got79,49%, FIP got 73,91%, LP3 got 69,23%, LP2M got 63,46%, FIS got 60,33%,PPS got 57,07%, FIK got 56,52%, FH got 52,72%, FBS got 49,46%, TIK got 40,38%, BPB got 34,62%, Library got 30,13%, Archive got 17,31%. From these results, it can be seen that there is a lack of maximum achievement due to, among others, the lack of guidance and technical assistance in the management of the unit. So it is necessary to complete governance guidelines and technical assistance that are more intensive in unit governance to achieve the goals of UNNES as a green campus. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) have been widely utilized in various fields, including traffic monitoring. UAVs have the potential to provide wide area coverage for traffic monitoring. In this article, we will discuss real-time traffic monitoring using UAVs with live-streaming video. The UAVs are equipped with artificial intelligence (AI) features for object detection on the road. Direct experiments were conducted by implementing UAVs monitoring on Jalan Setiabudi Bandung, West Java. The results show that the UAVs's accuracy for object detection has an average value of 76.78%. The AI processing on the UAVs produces 1.43125 and 1.466 Frames per second (FPS) for real-time object detection video frames. The UAVs monitoring website works well, and the website features can be accessed smoothly. Overall, the results demonstrate the potential of using UAVs with AI technology for traffic monitoring and surveillance. © 2023 IEEE.

One of the potential implementations of mobile robots in mitigating the risk of communicable diseases is for delivering items and handling materials with no-human contact. In that scenario, mobile robots require the capability of performing simultaneous multi-object detection and distance estimation for dynamic exploration in a real-world environment. Some existing research papers have contributed to the development of object detection or distance estimation, separately. However, there is still a lack of studies on simultaneous multi-object detection and distance estimation for robot navigation, especially in terms of performance analysis of the integrated techniques. One of the most challenging issues of integrating multi-object detection and distance estimation is the validation and evaluation of the type of objects with their relevant estimated distance to the robot. For that reason, this research aims to analyze the mobile robot's sensing performance in integrated simultaneous multi-object detection and distance estimation during navigation scenarios. A depth camera of Intel RealSense D455 and a rotating LIDAR of Slamtec RPLidar A1M8 are utilized in the experiments. The result of experiments shows that the object detection algorithm using Mobilenet SSD V2 can perform an accuracy of 74%, with precision, recall, and F1-Score consecutively achieving 74,54%, 74,00%, and 74,22%. The multi-object distance estimator also performs satisfactory results with a low measurement average error of 10.3 cm for indoor experiments. The integrated multiobject detector and distance estimator system can work in a real-time mode of 30 FPS, thence significantly improving the navigation performance of the mobile robot.

Lampung Province is one of the regions with the highest cocoa production, but many factors can interfere with cocoa production. One of them is the factor of pests and diseases of cocoa that cannot be identified and prevented beforehand. An expert system is a system that adopts expert knowledge or experts in a particular field. However, the diagnosis usually contains uncertainty in the form of answers and statements used. Certainty Factor (CF) algorithm, is one of the algorithms that is able to overcome uncertainty by providing a value for the level of trust from experts and users. However, because the CF value is based on the level of confidence in the symptoms experienced by the user, it creates a problem, namely the consistency of the user's answers. So, it is necessary to make improvements to the CF algorithm, to overcome the inconsistency of user answers through the use of Consistency Ratio (CR). Through the use of CR, inconsistencies are overcome through comparisons between the consistency index and the random index. Based on the results of the accuracy test, the proposed model is able to produce an accuracy rate of 86.67% in the diagnosis of pests and diseases on cocoa plants. © 2022 IEEE.

Voice synthesizers still present several challenges in the speech of mathematical content, as spoken mathematics has quite peculiar rules. In the synthesized speech, pauses help blind and visually impaired students identify the limits of mathematical operators and subexpressions. However, most studies on pauses define them uniformly or use simple punctuation marks to force the synthesizer to introduce pauses in certain parts of the expression. Speech is a dynamic process and pauses in expressions also need to be dynamic to make the synthetic speech of expressions more natural, as this can help in memorizing this type of content. This work proposed a dynamic model of pauses for mathematical expressions. Collected math expressions spoken by teachers were used to create the model. These expressions were useful for identifying patterns and creating a linear regression model. Blind and visually impaired students evaluated the model. Some improvements were observed when we compared the synthesized mathematical expressions with the model and Audiomath, the parameter tool used in this study. © 2022 ACM.

Coplanar waveguide (CPW) antennas are widely used in wireless communication systems because they can be easily integrated with microwave circuits. This article describes a method for improving the performance of CPW antennas by incorporating a slot into the patch design. The antenna was fabricated on an FR4 substrate with dimensions of 43 mm x 40 mm and a thickness of 1.6 mm. The patch section of the antenna was modified by incorporating a slot. The size and shape of the slot were adjusted to achieve optimal performance. The most effective modified design was then fabricated and its properties were measured. The fabricated antenna exhibited an operational frequency range of 2.24 GHz to 7.30 GHz. It also had an omnidirectional radiation pattern and a maximum gain of 5.825 dB. © 2023 IEEE.

Early detection of heart rate conditions in autistic children is crucial for anticipating tantrum reactions and providing prompt medical intervention. Previous research designed a prototype for acquiring Electrocardiogram (ECG) signals using the AD8232 sensor, but it required a long time to identify heart rate conditions. This study aims to develop the previous prototype using Internet of Things (IoT) implementation to acquire and identify the heart rate conditions of autistic children in real time. The ECG signal data is analyzed using Butterworth Filter and Artificial Neural Network (ANN) integrated into Raspberry Pi and results are transmitted to the Blynk App. Testing over 20 minutes showed that in the first 10 minutes, the system identified a normal heart rate at 105.19 BPM with 67% accuracy, while in the second 10 minutes, the heart rate rose to 117.19 BPM with tantrum symptoms and 75% accuracy. This system helps medical personnel provide immediate intervention during tantrums.
