Indonesian MSMEs in 2022 will begin to enter the transformational recovery phase. Various preparations must be made in order to adapt. One that has been done is to increase the number of MSMEs entering the digital ecosystem, such as the MSME marketplace. The MSME Marketplace is used for marketing various MSME products online. The MSME Marketplace must be supported by methods that are able to provide good and fast personal services, considering the types and variety of products offered are increasing in number and varying from time to time. Therefore, this study proposes the Porat_Rank method to produce product recommendations that match user interests quickly so that users are served well. The experimental results show that the Porat_Rank method is superior to the Copelan Score method both in producing recommendations and in processing speed. © 2022 IEEE.

Concrete properties change when it is exposed to high temperature. Fire can reduce the strength and the stiffness of the concrete. Another visible thing is the change in the color of the concrete. Furthermore, a decrease in the alkaline degree of concrete can also occur at high temperatures. This study combines quantifying the value of the color change, quantifying the alkaline level, and evaluating the residual strength of post-fire concrete. Two concrete grades were prepared: 25 and 45 MPa and exposed to a high temperature of 300 and 700 ℃. The amount of 1.8, 2 and 2.5 kg/m3 of polypropylene fiber were added to the concrete. According to the temperature rise analysis, the farther the position from the concrete surface causes a decrease in temperature. The 2.5 kg/m3 fiber content shows more excellent post-fire mechanical performance because it provides the pores needed by concrete when water vapor pressure occurs due to high temperature;therefore, cracks in the cement paste can be avoided. Visually, the color change between grade 25 and 45 MPa are the same in each temperature;however, they have different coordinates as observed by the color test. Furthermore, the addition of 2.5 kg/m3 fiber to the concrete contributes a superior effect to prevent the decrease of the alkaline level during the fire. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Enhancing industry engagement in vocational education is a crucial strategy for refining the quality of graduates to meet the continuously evolving job market needs. This article conducts a systematic review of the existing literature to identify the challenges and opportunities in industry involvement in vocational education. Through in-depth analysis of various sources, the article reveals that the skill gap between the vocational education curriculum and industry needs remains a significant issue. This challenge is exacerbated by assessment and certification systems that often do not accurately reflect the actual competencies required by the industry. Furthermore, the article explores opportunities through internship and work placement programs that enable students to gain relevant experience, as well as strategic partnerships between educational institutions and industries to develop responsive curricula. The article also recommends enhancing the synergy between vocational education and industry through policies that support this integration, which will not only improve the quality of vocational education but also expand employment opportunities for graduates. This research indicates that more integrated and sustained cooperation between vocational education and the industrial sector is key to ensuring the relevance of education with the dynamics of the global job market.

Offsets Reconstruction Method for Clock Skew Measurement Over High-Jitter Communication

Measuring clock skew of devices over a network fully relies on the offsets, the differences between sending and receiving times. Offsets that shape a thick line are the most ideal one as their slope is directly the clock skew sought. When some outliers separate from the thick line due to higher delay jitter, current advanced approaches use the lower bound or the majority of offsets to derive accurate clock skew. However, outliers in offsets that shape parallel dotted lines, reduce the availability of offsets in the lower region, and scatter widely the offsets from their majority zone. These conditions drive the current skew estimation approaches to lose their accuracy. This paper then developed a new method, which reconstructs back the outliers into their origin positions, in order to provide ideal offsets for clock skew measurement. The experimental evaluations have demonstrated that the clock skew accuracy of dotted-lines offsets tampered by outliers was improved from 2.1 to 0.9 ppm by the proposed reconstruction method. For a broader purpose, the reconstruction method has been adjusted to be implemented also on non-dotted-lines offsets. The robustness of the proposed method for this case has also been exhibited by the very ideal reconstructed offsets that shape like a thick line. © The Author(s) 2025.

Software testing is a phase in software development to ensure software quality. As more and more software is developed for web and mobile platforms, Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer is responsible to test software on both platforms to ensure functionality on each platform. While automated test can be implemented to reduce the workload of SQA Engineer, it has its setbacks as automated test needs a huge effort to maintain it and available tools to develop automated test currently only support one platform. In this research, an automated test framework is proposed and developed that can test both web and mobile platforms. Compared to an automated test project that uses separate tools, a project that uses the proposed framework has 2.57% higher maintainability index. A user test to 3 SQA Engineers has also been conducted and the proposed framework has generally been given high maintainability rating. © 2022 ACM.

In the last decade, the Indonesian government has implemented a program to use biodiesel as a substitute for fossil diesel to reduce dependence on fossil fuels. On the other hand, the development of biodiesel as an alternative fuel to replace fossil diesel has several challenges, one of which is the production of biodiesel, which is more complicated and requires a long process. However, the direct use of crude palm oil (CPO) in diesel engines is not recommended because it has many drawbacks. Research recently shows that fuel additives in diesel engines have promising prospects. Therefore, to solve the problem, this study used pure palm oil (PPaO) as the primary fuel, with the addition of silicon oxide (SiO2) as a fuel additive in diesel engines. The results showed that using SiO2 additive in PPaO can increase thermal efficiency by 18.8% at 60% load compared to diesel fuel (DF). Nevertheless, using this fuel increased specific fuel consumption (SFC) by 3.9% on average and increased the opacity by 153% compared to diesel fuel. These results indicate that SiO2 has the potential to be developed as an effective additive to PPaO fuel that can improve the efficiency and performance of diesel engines. © 2025 Institute of Physics Publishing. There are 19.292.789 global cancer cases, with 9.958.133 fatalities. Lung cancer is the leading cause of death among men with 1.796.144 cases, and breast cancer is most prevalent in women with 684.996 cases. In Indonesia, there were 396.914 new cases and 234.511 deaths [1]-[2]. Metastatic cancer or stage 4 cancer, is characterized by highly aggressive cancer cells that have spread to other areas of the body. Approximately 60% of advanced cancer patients with pain struggle with daily activities, impacting sleep, and exacerbating emotional distress. Depression rates among cancer patients are three times higher than the general population. Addressing these challenges without medication, PALIAVEST integrates therapies like TENS, thermotherapy, aromatherapy, and multimedia with real-time ECG monitoring via IoT. Validated trials show high accuracy of ECG sensors more than 95% with 0.8% error and TENS therapy (2 Hz and 100 Hz) at over 95% with 0.52% error. PALIAVEST ensures consistent therapeutic temperatures, enhancing care reliability and promising better patient quality of life through comprehensive palliative approaches. © 2024 IEEE.

This research investigates the effectiveness of geopolymer concrete incorporating fly ash in environments rich in chlorides;in contrast to conventional Portland cement concrete (OPC). The study emphasizes essential characteristics such as workability, mechanical strength, capillary water absorption, open porosity, and chloride migration. The experiments demonstrated that geopolymer concrete exhibits a 30% enhancement in slump values, reflecting improved workability, and its compressive strength rose by 14.90–23.94% when compared with OPC. A significant reduction in binder content led to a notable decrease in capillary water absorption, highlighting a positive impact on long-term durability. With time, geopolymer concrete showed a reduction in open porosity and chloride migration coefficient, indicating better resistance to chloride penetration in marine settings. Although these outcomes underscore the potential of geopolymer concrete to improve structural durability, especially in marine infrastructure, additional optimization is required to tackle its relatively higher capillary water absorption and chloride migration during the initial stages. These results contribute to the ongoing investigation of sustainable building materials, offering valuable insights into geopolymer concrete’s ability to endure severe chloride exposure and serve as a durable solution for corrosion management in marine infrastructure. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Shiraz University 2024.

Potatoes are a food source that is beneficial for humans in various aspects, such as having nutritional and economic value. However, potato plants are susceptible to many diseases. To address this issue, various researchers have suggested methods utilizing machine learning and image processing for automatic disease type detection. This paper introduces a disease detection model for potato leaf images, employing two computer vision techniques: Vision Transformer (ViT) and CoAtNet. The dataset used in this paper consisted of 30,760 augmented images divided into seven classes. The ViT model had a test accuracy of 99.32% and a validation accuracy of99.12%. Meanwhile, the CoAtNEt model had a test accuracy of 99.58 % and a validation accuracy of 99.48 %. These results show that both models can be used in the detection of potato leaf diseases. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper describes the design and implementation of the Ludo game on Microsoft Hololens to create a mixed reality-based application with Hololens technology connected to many services. The Ludo game is made for two players, with player one playing on Hololens and player two sending and receiving player one's data via the console. The Ludo game with Hololens is one of the results of the development of Hololens technology and the RabbitMQ Messaging Server. The Ludo game is made on Visual Studio software using UrhoSharp Framework and RabbitMQ Messaging Server service with the AMQP protocol. As application frameworks, Hololens and UrhoSharp function as devices for visualization and running games. At the same time, the RabbitMQ Messaging Server and AMQP protocol serve as services that connect two players from the Hololens and console by sending the data needed by the application. The test results show that Hololens is running successfully and communicating with other console players. Thus, the results obtained are the purpose of this paper, which is to create a mixed reality-based application with Hololens technology connected to many services. © 2023 IEEE.
