Geothermal reservoirs are significant sources of renewable energy. Accurate geometric modeling of these reservoirs is essential for understanding the distribution of heat and fluid dynamics within them. This study aims to develop a geometric model of the Sibayak geothermal field using borehole data. Borehole data provide detailed geological information, which is crucial for constructing a realistic geometric model. The methodology of this research involves several key steps: the collection of borehole data from the Sibayak geothermal field, the construction of a 3D geometric model of the reservoir using COMSOL Multiphysics based on the borehole data, and the validation of the model through comparison with field data and previous research findings. The results indicate that the developed geometric model successfully identifies zones with high geothermal potential and provides an accurate depiction of the reservoir's boundaries and characteristics. Modeling the geometry of geothermal reservoirs using borehole data offers profound insights into the internal dynamics of the reservoir and can serve as a valuable tool for planning and optimizing geothermal energy exploitation. © 2024 Institute of Physics Publishing. The demand for electrical energy is always fluctuating, influenced by several factors such as household, industrial, commercial, and other public service electricity usage. Moreover, estimates of future electricity demand play a crucial role in the operation of the power system, ranging from power generation planning to power flow analysis and energy system operation costs. electrical power forecasting aims to prevent sudden decreases or increases in electricity demand. Moreover, in tropical countries, the wet season and rivers offer many opportunities for micro-hydro potentials that can be harnessed in combination with solar energy. To manage the forecasting modeling, Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) is utilized CNN for short-term forecasting in Microhydro Power Plants. The anticipated outcomes aim to contribute to effective electricity demand management, facilitating the estimates of variation in microhydro power generation.

This paper presents a study on a meshfree particle method named Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH) applied to a wave making system. SPH is based on a Lagrangian approach, in which motion of particles (fluid and/or solid) is tracked. The wave making system consists of a triangular wedge and a water channel with an inclined wall as its main components. The wedge moves up and down at a certain frequency to create the wave. In order to have an optimal model, model parameters such as the kernel function, size of the support domain, and the artificial viscosity coefficient are examined. Results of the water surface elevation are compared with available experimental data. Good fit is achieved for the optimal case. The wave development and breaking on the inclined wall is finely captured. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Industrial development requires accurate and reliable control technology. One of the popular control systems is PID control. This paper discusses the implementation of the PID method for ping-pong ball position control by utilizing the theory of the Coanda effect. The control system was designed using Arduino as the controller and LabVIEW as the control interface. Tests were carried out by combining set point values to determine whether the position control system worked properly or not. The test results show that the PID method combined with LabVIEW can work well with the results of the PID control test at successive heights of 15 cm, 20 cm, 25 cm, 30 cm, and 35 cm obtained rise time (tr) 3.49 seconds, 4.58 seconds, 9.08 sec, 9.92 sec, and 8.84 sec. The average tolerance is 1.5 cm for the upper limit and 1 cm for the lower limit. © 2023 IEEE.

This article explores the development and implementation of futuristic bins with automated waste sortation systems to address improper and mixed waste disposal challenges. Despite the existence of categorized waste bins, individuals often dispose of waste improperly, hindering the sorting and decomposition processes. Integrating advanced technologies, such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), futuristic bins offer innovative solutions. Futuristic bins with automated sorting systems facilitate accurate waste sorting, reduce mixing, and optimize waste disposal. These bins increase efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize collection routes while promoting environmental cleanliness and awareness of waste management. The article describes the research methodology, including preliminary study, specification requirements analysis, prototype development, and testing. The results demonstrate the implemented system's accuracy and real-time object detection capabilities. The study also acknowledges limitations and suggests future research directions, including improving communication between object detection algorithms and microcontrollers. Overall, the development of futuristic bins with automated waste sortation systems represents a significant advancement in waste management, with the potential to revolutionize waste management systems and create sustainable cities and communities.

Deafness is a condition that results in the loss of hearing function, hindering the reception of information such as oral communication that relies on auditory senses. Consequently, individuals with hearing impairment experience communication barriers and may have limited or no ability to respond. One solution is the use of sign language. In Indonesia, there are two known sign languages: Sibi and Bisindo. Both serve the same function but differ in their style of movement and expression. Bisindo is considered more flexible as it conveys meaning based on the Indonesian language. However, the universal understanding of this language solution is still limited among many people. Therefore, a program is needed to facilitate translation between deaf individuals who use sign language and their counterparts who do not communicate through sign language. CNN (Convolutional Neural Network) is a deep learning algorithm used for training visual input data recognition by computer systems. There are various CNN-based architectures, and one of them is AlexNet. Based on the author's testing, the AlexNet architecture proves to be suitable for real-time sign language translation. The evaluation of the system involved 7,800 datasets and 520 testing instances, with an average accuracy of 468 correct translations. When averaged, the system achieved a 90% accuracy rate, representing a 100% increase in accuracy compared to previous approaches. © 2023 IEEE.

This study is conducted to compare three different cannulas;all purpose nasal cannula with 2 prongs, nasal pressure cannula with 2 prongs and single port nasal cannula which are commonly used for capnography device. These cannulas or sometimes called as nasal prong is connected to the device via nose of subjects studied. This procedure is a part of respiratory study to monitor lungs condition and breathing pattern. This study involves 47 subject where the exhaled breath was recorded to make comparison and choose the most suitable and effective for capnography waveform analysis. Utilizing Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) to find the normality of all the nasal cannula data based on capnogram waveform. The result from the analysis shows that the frequency distribution for type 1 nasal cannula which is also known as all-purpose nasal cannula had the feature values closer to the standard value. Our study proofs that all purpose nasal cannula sampling is the most suitable to capture exhaled breath for monitoring respiratory conditions. © 2023 IEEE.

This study aimed to determine whether or not the Instagram Vlog improved speaking skills. The study of the study is to determine how the Instagram vlog project aids students in improving their speaking skills and how students' perceptions of the project improve their speaking ability. This study had 49 students participating. The interview was demonstrated to determine the students' perceptions of Instagram Vlog usage in English class. While the pre-test and post-test were given to find out how Instagram Vlog affected the students’ performance. The interviews were used to find out how the students feel, and they believe that Instagram Vlog improves their ability to speak English. In contrast, the students' improvement following the Instagram Vlog implementation indicated that the Instagram Vlog's performance in the Bahasa Inggris I subject contributed to their improved speaking ability. The findings of this study should be considered by educational institutions that prepare students for future employment.

Microgrid systems are becoming more popular and the main component in a microgrid system is generation, which in a microgrid system usually consists of distributed generations (DGs). Because the renewable energy (RE) generators are an inverter-based generator, a microgrid dominated by RE generators is called inverter-based microgrid. Due to intermittency of RE generator, such as solar PV, the RE power generation variation may cause instability. The conventional method to analyze system stability due to the variation of loads and generation is modal analysis. In this experiment the proposed method for analyzing small signal stability is by using Kharitonov’s Theorem. The objective of this experiment is to analyze inverter-based stability using Kharitonov’s Theorem and compare it to the result using conventional analysis method which is modal analysis. Using Kharitonov’s Theorem, the system stability can be determined for several operation scenarios within certain time range. In this experiment, the inverter-based microgrid will be modeled using DIgSILENT PowerFactory and the system matrices will be exported into MATLAB software to be analyzed and converted to four transfer functions using Kharitonov’s Theorem. The four output transfer function will determined the system small signal stability of modeled microgrid in one day operation.

The cofiring of biomass and coal may be one of the most effective methods to improve energy utilization efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas *** study aims to investigate combustion performance,interaction and synergistic effects in the cofiring of coal and three types of *** fuel consisting of coal and three types of biomass such as sawdust,rice husk and solid recovery fuel was selected as the research *** and proximate analysis and differential thermogravimetric analysis with heating rates of between 10°C and 40°C/minute are used to analyse combustion *** of combustion in a 600-MWe steam power plant with a Carolina-type boiler is also carried out with the help of computational fluid dynamic(CFD)analysis to see the effect of the interaction and synergy of the mixed fuel on the performance of the steam *** effect on the com-bustion process in the combustion chamber of a steam power plant is also *** on the analysis of several test results of parameters such as ignition temperature,burnout temperature,calorific value of the fuel mixtures as well as CFD simulation,the results of the study show a strong indication of a positive synergy in mixing some of these biomasses as compared with a fuel mix-ture consisting only of coal and one type of *** no power derating of the boiler occurs until the biomass content in the fuel mixture is~30%on a mass *** reduction in greenhouse gas emissions also appears significant from the results of the CFD simulation of this study,which is characterized by a decrease in the fraction of CO_(2) in flue gas from 21.5%for coal alone as fuel to 15.9%in the case of cofiring excluding the CO_(2) attributed to the biomass.
