This article explores the development and implementation of futuristic bins with automated waste sortation systems to address improper and mixed waste disposal challenges. Despite the existence of categorized waste bins, individuals often dispose of waste improperly, hindering the sorting and decomposition processes. Integrating advanced technologies, such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), futuristic bins offer innovative solutions. Futuristic bins with automated sorting systems facilitate accurate waste sorting, reduce mixing, and optimize waste disposal. These bins increase efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize collection routes while promoting environmental cleanliness and awareness of waste management. The article describes the research methodology, including preliminary study, specification requirements analysis, prototype development, and testing. The results demonstrate the implemented system's accuracy and real-time object detection capabilities. The study also acknowledges limitations and suggests future research directions, including improving communication between object detection algorithms and microcontrollers. Overall, the development of futuristic bins with automated waste sortation systems represents a significant advancement in waste management, with the potential to revolutionize waste management systems and create sustainable cities and communities. © 2024 IEEE.

The demand for electrical energy is always fluctuating, influenced by several factors such as household, industrial, commercial, and other public service electricity usage. Moreover, estimates of future electricity demand play a crucial role in the operation of the power system, ranging from power generation planning to power flow analysis and energy system operation costs. electrical power forecasting aims to prevent sudden decreases or increases in electricity demand. Moreover, in tropical countries, the wet season and rivers offer many opportunities for micro-hydro potentials that can be harnessed in combination with solar energy. To manage the forecasting modeling, Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) is utilized CNN for short-term forecasting in Microhydro Power Plants. The anticipated outcomes aim to contribute to effective electricity demand management, facilitating the estimates of variation in microhydro power generation. © 2024 IEEE.

Microgrid systems are becoming more popular and the main component in a microgrid system is generation, which in a microgrid system usually consists of distributed generations (DGs). Because the renewable energy (RE) generators are an inverter-based generator, a microgrid dominated by RE generators is called inverter-based microgrid. Due to intermittency of RE generator, such as solar PV, the RE power generation variation may cause instability. The conventional method to analyze system stability due to the variation of loads and generation is modal analysis. In this experiment the proposed method for analyzing small signal stability is by using Kharitonov's Theorem. The objective of this experiment is to analyze inverter-based stability using Kharitonov's Theorem and compare it to the result using conventional analysis method which is modal analysis. Using Kharitonov's Theorem, the system stability can be determined for several operation scenarios within certain time range. In this experiment, the inverter-based microgrid will be modeled using DIgSILENT PowerFactory and the system matrices will be exported into MATLAB software to be analyzed and converted to four transfer functions using Kharitonov's Theorem. The four output transfer function will determined the system small signal stability of modeled microgrid in one day operation. © 2023 IEEE.

Cutaneous Lupus Erythematosus (CLE) is a form of lupus that affects the skin and is highly sensitive to ultraviolet (UV) light. UV-B. in particular. can trigger inflammation and apoptosis in CLE patients. making a sunscreen with effective UVB protection crucial. This study evaluates the effectiveness of zinc oxide (ZnO) and titanium dioxide (TiO2) nanoparticles in sunscreen. ZnO and TiO2 nanoparticles were prepared using the High Energy Milling method. resulting in particle sizes of 7.77 nm and 4.44 nm. respectively. The creams containing these nanoparticles were tested for physical stability and UV protection. Results showed that the creams were physically stable and provided good UV protection. with ZnO and TiO2 nanoparticles making up 12.60% of the total cream ingredients. resulting in the highest SPF (Sun Protection Factor) value of 62.0 ± 1.37. © 2025 Institute of Physics Publishing. This study aimed to determine whether or not the Instagram Vlog improved speaking skills. The study of the study is to determine how the Instagram vlog project aids students in improving their speaking skills and how students' perceptions of the project improve their speaking ability. This study had 49 students participating. The interview was demonstrated to determine the students' perceptions of Instagram Vlog usage in English class. While the pre-test and post-test were given to find out how Instagram Vlog affected the students' performance. The interviews were used to find out how the students feel, and they believe that Instagram Vlog improves their ability to speak English. In contrast, the students' improvement following the Instagram Vlog implementation indicated that the Instagram Vlog's performance in the Bahasa Inggris I subject contributed to their improved speaking ability. The findings of this study should be considered by educational institutions that prepare students for future employment. © 2023 IEEE.

Indonesia has entered a period of demographic bonus. Human resources must be optimized. The number of children who do not in employment, education or training (NEET) in each province needs attention. Several factors that could contribute to the decline in the NEET percentage are literacy rates and the number of adolescents with computer skills. Increasing these two factors is believed to be able to reduce the percentage of NEET in every province in Indonesia. To find out the relationship between these two factors and how much influence they have on the percentage of NEET, this research is modeled by Cauchy regression and includes spatial effects. The results of the analysis show that the best model is when the spatial effect is modeled by Fernandez Steel Skew Normal conditionally autoregressive (FSSN CAR). This result is seen from the smallest value of the Watanabe Akaike Information Criterion (WAIC) in this model, which is 190.5. The parameter estimated shows that the higher the literacy rate and the number of adolescents with computer skills, the lower the percentage of NEET in each province in Indonesia. The results of this research can be useful for the Indonesian government to increase the number of educational facilities related to these two factors. © (2024), (International Association of Engineers). Nanotechnology has been growing rapidly for the past decade. Nano Silica have also received much attention because of its great capability of thermal that can be used in various fields like chromatography, cosmetics, medicine, drugs, agriculture and optics. This paper then conducts literature review on the synthesis of nano silica materials from waste materials abundantly available such as fly ash and rice husk, especially using two popular synthesis methods namely sol-gel method and the alkali fusion method. In conclusion, despite utilizing waste materials, the results showed that those methods can produce nano silica with high-purity level. Additionally, compared to alkali fusion, the sol-gel method is considered better technique due to its simpler process, low-temperature need, and controllable morphology of nano silica. Therefore, sol gel method has been extensively applied to produce nano silica particle. © 2024 Institute of Physics Publishing. All rights reserved.

Modification is one of the ways used to actualize oneself in mass products. Motorcycle radiator covers are an interesting component to combine with Batik, which is part of Indonesian culture. This cover has a specific shape. In this study, this process will be carried out by reverse engineering techniques which include 3D scanning, Re-drawing, modification, and production processes. The 3D scanning process was performed by using a handled 3D scanner tool which had a specification of 0.2 m × 0.2 m × 0.2 m to 2 m × 2 m × 2 m scanning volume with 0.45 m to 1.6 m of operation range. The process was optimized by object coloring. The CAD object was re-drawn and evaluated by using a combination of CAD/CAE and their features. Surface generating and editing were among the most useful features used in this work. The result showed that this technique could accommodate the objective of this work. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.

Cataracts are the main factor causing blindness in Indonesia. Traditional diagnostic methods involving clinical examination by an ophthalmologist using a slit-lamp and visual tests have many challenges such as limited resources, time, and medical expertise may not be available in all locations, especially in less developed areas. Utilizing medical image technology is a wise choice because it allows early detection and monitoring of the development of this cataract disease Technology is needed to identify medical images that have valuable information so that early detection or monitoring of cataract development can be carried out. CNN as a part of deep learning has the ability to perform automatic feature extraction so that it can identify eye images. A CNN model for recognizing cataracts in eye images taken directly from Bhayangkara Hospital in Denpasar Bali has been developed in this research. The model developed is equipped with a dropout layer technique to prevent overfitting. The test results show that the CNN developed in this research produces very good performance with an average accuracy level of 92% on public dataset images, and 94% on primary dataset images. Tested using the primary dataset and public dataset, this CNN model shows very good performance because it can correctly identify an average of 94% of eye images in the primary dataset, and 92% of eye images in the public dataset.. © 2024 IEEE.

ESP is an IoT based microcontroller. One of its uses for monitoring farming system. To produce good agricultural products, but agricultural land is far from a power source, the microcontroller's energy is limited. This difficulty is overcome by deep sleep mode to save energy. Tests were carried out on three types of ESP to determine the power efficiency level of the system's deep sleep mode. Testing is carried out by taking current and voltage data on the three ESPs during deep sleep and normal mode. The power efficiency results obtained were ESP 32 DEVKIT V1 WROOM 87.10883974%, ESP 32 DF Robot FireBeetle 99.87277596%, and ESP 8266 NODEMCU 80.2693633%. The time used for monitoring of the agricultural system produces, ESP 32 DEVKIT V1 WROOM 20 days 5 hours 38 minutes, ESP 32 DF Robot FireBeetle 186 days 15 hours 40 minutes, and ESP 8266 NODEMCU 24 days 1 hour 53 minutes. © 2023 IEEE.
