Increased crime and cyber-attacks make network security an essential prerequisite for organizations. However, organizations cannot guarantee this because the COVID-19 pandemic has forced organizations to suspend activities in the office and give employees the option to work from home. As a result, employees must always be connected to the home network to work. It can attract hackers to take advantage of the situation by launching various attacks. Therefore home network security must be updated, minimize vulnerabilities, and apply additional security. The number of IoT devices that can connect to the home network is also considered to increase security because the main entry point for hacking IoT is through the network. Raspberry Pi 4 can be used as a low-cost, power-efficient, and practical solution for home network security, including IDS Suricata, multiple honeypots (Cowrie & Dionaea), and Tshark packet analyzer. There are six types of attack simulations: port scanning, brute force, TCP flood attacks, smurf attacks, UDP flood attacks, and exploits on services/ports. Measurement of device performance is also carried out when running the system. Log data from the four sensors will be visualized with the ELK stack, making it easier to analyze attacks. ©2021 IEEE

Corrosion poses a significant challenge in industries due to material degradation and high maintenance costs, making effective inhibitors essential. Recent studies suggest expired pharmaceuticals as alternative corrosion inhibitors, but identifying the most efficient compounds can be time-consuming. This study applies machine learning models, particularly Gradient Boosting Regressor (GBR), to predict corrosion inhibition efficiency (CIE). The developed model is integrated into a web-based application, enabling real-time, accurate CIE predictions. Results show GBR as the more precise model for predicting CIE, with low error rates. The streamlit-based web application offers a user-friendly platform, facilitating quick identification of suitable inhibitors. It is flexible, supporting analysis beyond corrosion inhibitors, and significantly enhances the efficiency of the evaluation process. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.

Increasingly limited residential land in urban areas results in residents looking for and making settlements around landfills. This affects people's lives in fulfilling their daily needs, clean water. To meet the demand for clean water, some residents use well water as the primary drinking water source. Judging from the condition of the residential areas located in the landfill area, there may be an effect of waste, especially liquid waste, on well water sources. For this reason, research is carried out using the geoelectric method by combining two configurations, namely Schlumberger and dipole-dipole. So that it can provide an overview of the boundaries of liquid waste contaminants in the soil, which are associated with conductive fluids that affect the quality of clean water from residential areas around the landfill. In this study, it was found that the fluid flow associated with liquid waste has a lateral movement to the right with a depth of 24.5 meters. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Challenging body shaming with grading techniques in the fashion industry

Body shaming remains a prevalent concern in the fashion business, as conventional beauty standards sometimes exclude persons with varied body shapes. This study investigates the effect of pattern grading and motif grading approaches on reducing body shaming, particularly in the context of batik shirt production. The research highlights how various grading systems improve garment fit and cater to a broader range of body shapes, thereby challenging body shaming and promoting body inclusivity. The research examines the impact of grading methods on tailors' engagement, skill level, and self-assurance, showing that these methods enhance garment quality and empower industry professionals. This study employed a mixed-method approach, combining the creation of graded batik shirt prototypes with quantitative analysis using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The research indicates that motif grading maintains the traditional validity of batik designs while facilitating size modifications. Tailors expressed strong interest in adopting grading techniques, and the study proposes inclusive design solutions that effectively address body shaming in a traditional manner. The results suggest that integrating grading methodologies into fashion processes can foster a more inclusive and diverse business. Suggestions are offered for fashion designers, educational institutions, and companies to promote the implementation of grading techniques that accommodate body variation. This research identifies future research opportunities, such as incorporating technology in grading and formulating design methods to mitigate body shaming in the fashion industry. © 2025 The Authors

Building-Integrated Photovoltaic(BIPV)on vertical façades is a potential PV application in today’s *** performance of BIPV on façades is significantly influenced by the façade *** tropical cities,the optimum façade orientation,in terms of maximum energy yield and daylight performance,cannot be simply determined,due to relatively symmetrical sun path throughout the *** study therefore aims to determine the optimum orientation for BIPV on tropical building faç*** achieve the objective,experiment,modelling,and computational simulation are conducted to evaluate the BIPV energy yield and to predict the indoor daylight performance in a scale-model building with a 105Wp monocrystalline silicon PV,facing each cardinal orienta-tion in Bandung,*** South orientation yields practically zero ASE_(1000,250),providing the best annual daylight performance,and yielding the most desirable value in four out of five daylight *** greatest annual energy yield is at the North orientation,providing 179-186 kWh(95%prediction interval)per year,but with larger uncertainty compared to that at the South,due to direct sunlight *** on three different objective functions,the South orientation is considered optimum for placing the BIPV panel on the prototype façade in the location.

In indoor vertical farming systems, managing dynamic and complex environments poses significant challenges. Traditional control strategies often fall short in adapting to rapid changes in critical parameters such as nutrient levels, climate conditions, and plant health indicators. To address these challenges, this paper presents a novel approach for optimizing indoor vertical farming using Deep Deterministic Policy Gradient (DDPG), a reinforcement learning algorithm well-suited for environments with continuous action spaces. Our study focused on the control and monitoring of key parameters, including nutrient levels (pH and EC), climate conditions (temperature, humidity, light, and CO2 levels), and plant health indicators (biomass accumulation and leaf size structure). By defining a comprehensive state and action space, we simulated an indoor farming environment and trained the DDPG model to maximize crop yield and health.

The field of the Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) is experiencing significant growth as it involves the integration of medical devices and systems with the internet and various digital technologies. This study provides a bibliometric analysis of scholarly articles pertaining to the Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) during the time frame of 2018 to 2022. The analysis is conducted using data sourced from the Scopus database. A total of 1165 documents were identified and analyzed to gain insights into the current state of research in this field. The analysis includes trends in publication output, top authors and institutions, and key research topics. The results of the analysis indicate a steady increase in publication output on IoMT over the past five years, with the highest number of publications in 2022. The top authors in this field were Mohanty, S.P., Kougianos, E., and Pirbhulal, S., while the top institutions were King Saud University, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and University of North Texas. Co-citation analysis revealed that wearable devices, telemedicine, and data analytics were among the key research topics in IoMT. This bibliometric analysis offers useful insights into the present research landscape of the Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) spanning the years 2018 to 2022. The findings can be beneficial for researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and funding agencies in understanding the trends and priorities in this field. The top authors and institutions identified in this analysis can serve as valuable resources for collaboration and staying updated on the latest developments in IoMT. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

As a form of sportification of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), eSport are revolutionizing the video game and sports industry in the digital transformation era. Applying Self-Determination Theory (SDT), this study aims to try to understand the relationship between the motivations that make people "eSport fans" with their behavior in supporting eSport so that it has an impact on the level of individual innovative behavior. Using Partial Least Squares -Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) as a data analysis approach with the Smart PLS 3 tool was carried out in this study. A survey was conducted among 100 people to investigate their behavior related to eSport at the level of individual innovative behavior. The findings indicate that eSport as intrinsic motivation has a larger role in idea exploration, idea generation, and idea championing than in idea implementation. This contributes to applying SDT in the context of eSport and innovative behavior.

Video compression is commonly studied, and several standards have been established from multimedia companies. The 3D video signal contains of the conventional 2D video signal and depth video. In order to equip 3D video, depth video compression has been explored to unveil geometric information for synthesis virtual views. Conventional video compression is not allowed directly employed into genuine depth video because its characteristics which may influence in compression ratio and synthesis representation. Depth information is able to be implemented for several images processing implementations such as identification, segmentation and so on. Unfortunately, the problem happens in original depth video begins from acquisition process of depth video. This depth video is needed to be compressed for efficient network transmission, storage and power. In this working, will be shown utilizing median filter as pre-processing method dues to its unstable pixel values. Then, the output of pre-processing was submitted into H.264/AVC encoding tool. From experimental results, utilizing median filter as a preprocessing approached the quality of video compression up to 20 % compared to the output depth video without using median filter at all. © 2020 IEEE.

The widespread implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) in various industries, including healthcare, provides significant benefits but raises concerns. Notably, apprehensions about AI generating issues, experiencing malfunctions, and hindering work extend to fears of replacing medical professional positions. This research aims to quantitatively assess the impact of anxiety forms, specifically social, technical blindness and AI configuration, on job replacement anxiety among medical doctors. A pre-test approach was employed to gather data from 38 doctors in Jakarta who regularly interact with AI in their daily work. The study used PLS-SEM structural modelling with SmartPLS 3.0 as the analysis tool. Findings indicate that both social and technical blindness and AI configuration significantly influence job replacement anxiety. Additionally, the study reveals that elements within the AI configuration interact with social-technical blindness, and the AI setup effectively mitigates its impact on job replacement anxiety. These anxieties notably affect medical professionals' fears of being replaced in their current roles. Previous research shows that anxiety about AI among healthcare personnel is persistent. However, this worry can be reduced or eliminated through continuous awareness, education, and understanding of AI's purpose and limitations. This study aims to provide medical practitioners with a comprehensive understanding of AI constraints and the aspects requiring direct doctor involvement. © 2024 IEEE.
