Transportation of material aggregates over long distances and between islands requires a long time by changing modes of transportation. Therefore, determining a material aggregate travel trajectory model using a web database is something that can help in logistics movement analysis. This study aims to create a web-based material aggregate transportation trajectory model. The data collection method involves extracting data with Google Maps which shows distance and time indications. Next, validation is carried out in the field with a direct survey at the location. The analytical method uses statistical methods to create modeling using a linear regression model approach and statistical tests using anova. The results of the study show that the linear regression model is simple with an independent variable coefficient of 0.0306 and an R-square of 0.8649. Meanwhile, using the ANOVA test, it was stated that the modeling results were quite significant and the model could be used to make predictions. © 2024 IEEE.

A mid-level labor preparation having the qualification and competency appropriate with working world needs is a task from vocational secondary school (VSS). Now days, VSS become an attention by wide community, as a result of the existence of government policy which is trying to empowering vocational secondary education. The policy taken is by performing the revitalization of vocational school which has the aim to improve the quality of labor competitiveness. One of the programs is teacher quality improvement through various teacher training. However, relating to this case, it is suspected that the previous vocational school teacher training is less effective, so that it needs to be conducted the analysis about the teacher training implementation. Therefore, this article will be elaborated the ways needed to be conducted in improving the educational quality and vocational school teacher development training. The ways should be considered when it is planned and implemented the effective training program, such as: determining the needs, setting the goal, determining the content of learning, selecting the participants, determining the best schedule, selecting the appropriate facilities, selecting the proper instructor, selecting and preparing the audiovisual equipment, coordinating the program and evaluating the program. © 2021 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

In 2022, there are 1,524 flood events out of a total of 3,531 disasters occurring in Indonesia. East Kalimantan Province ranked 20th among the 35 provinces in Indonesia with 28 flood occurrences in 2022, resulting in two fatalities. This highlights the urgent need for addressing flood hazard to prevent future casualties. There are some methods that can be used to determine the flood hazard in a region. In this research aims to identify flood-prone areas in East Kalimantan Province and evaluate the effectiveness of different mapping methods. The methodology that compares are the Pairwise Comparison method and Geomorphic Flood Index (GFI). The study's results provide flood-prone area maps of East Kalimantan Province using both methods, recommend the more efficient method for flood-prone area identification, and offer mitigation strategies based on the findings. This research is intended to serve as a reference for selecting the best method for identifying flood-prone areas and for informing policy decisions to mitigate flood impacts in East Kalimantan Province. © Author(s) 2025.

This study examines the decline in the usage of the Javanese language, which has experienced a decrease in the number of speakers from approximately 82 million in 2007 to 68.2 million in 2015. The convergence of the Javanese script and Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology is proposed as a solution, allowing for the preservation and accessibility of the Javanese script in the digital age. The integration of Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) in Javanese script classification achieved a high accuracy rate of 92.95% in identifying positive and negative cases. The dataset used for training consisted of 8440 sample images, which were divided into 20 subfolders for training and testing. The results presented in Table IV demonstrate the successful implementation of the classification model, achieving a 98.87% sensitivity, 100% precision, and 98.88% specificity. This research contributes to the preservation and understanding of the culturally significant Javanese script while addressing the decline in its usage.

Vibration analysis is very important in predictive maintenance in the industry today. In this paper, has designed a vibration detection system that can identify the condition of the induction motor by online. Induction motor vibration data is read from two vibration sensors, accelerometer1 and accelerometer2, displayed using ATMEGA16 microcontroller and can directly identify the condition of the induction motor by using artificial intelligence-based analysis that is Backpropagation-Neural Network (B-NN). After testing, the system managed to perform fault identification induction motor with the rank of success of 95 percent. © 2020 IEEE.

Total dissolved solids (TDS) consisting of inorganic salts and organic matter are pollutants to the aquatic and water systems for human use. This paper studied the effect of ceramic adsorbent composition on improving the quality of the produced water (PW) by decreasing TDS before entering reverse osmosis (RO). Manufacturing ceramic adsorbents use a mixture of spent catalysts of residues catalytic cracking (RCC) and natural clay in various compositions. Experiments were performed using the PW from one oil and gas company in South Sumatra, Indonesia. The initial characterization of produced water contains total dissolved solids of 14,556 mg/L. The flow rate of PW into the ceramic adsorbent column were varied from 6 to 8 L/min at a contact time of 15 to 120 min. The results showed that ceramic adsorbent A (diameter 10 mm and thickness 10 mm, 70% clay, and 30% RCC) reduced TDS by 74.58%. Adsorbent B (diameter of 20 mm and thickness of 10 mm, 70% RCC and 30% clay) lowers TDS by 56.68% at a flow rate of 6 L/min and a contact time of 60 min. Adsorbent C (diameter of 10 mm and thickness of 10 mm, 30% clay, and 70% RCC) reduced TDS by 59.40% at a flow rate of 6 L/min and a flow time of 60 min. Adsorbent D (diameter of 20 mm, thickness of 10 mm, 30% clay, and 70% RCC) lowers TDS by 54.38% at a flow rate of 6 L/ min and a contact time of 60 min. After being transferred into the adsorption column, their filtrates were sent into the Reverse Osmosis (RO) membrane. The final permeates of RO have TDS values between 1,720 mg/L to 3,930 mg/L that met water standards for oil and gas exploration wastewater in Indonesia. © 2023 The Authors. All rights reserved.

Management of breast cancer requires a diagnosis of breast cancer, including an accurate pathology diagnosis to direct the provision of appropriate treatment. Part of inseparable diagnosis of breast cancer itself is determining the presence of metastasis. This study aims to determine the relationship model of pathological diagnosis with the possibility of metastasis to other organs of the breast. Pathology diagnosis results include tumor position, topography, behavior, grade, and tumor status. This study used secondary data from the Hospital Information System (SIRS) of the hospital in Makassar, Indonesia. Data obtained from the results of pathology and clinical examinations of breast tumor as many as 204 patients were hospitalized during the year of 2018. Binary regression analysis modeling was performed to see the relationship between types of pathological diagnosis (laterality, topography, behavior, grade, tumor status) of breast cancer with the possibility of metastases to other organs. The results of the analysis found a significant relationship between the position and status of the tumor with the presence of metastasis. The results of the metastatic binary logistic regression model was L(Y) = 1.330 - 0.670lat1 - 0.779lat2 - 0.724status Chi-square analysis between metastasis with surgery and chemotherapy found the significant relationships between metastasis with surgery (X2 = 15.951;p value = 0.001) and metastasis with chemotherapy (X2 = 20,796;p value = 0.001). The results of this analysis indicate that the position and status of the tumor have a relationship with the likelihood of metastasis. In addition, this metastasis further determines the management of treatment whether surgery or chemotherapy or both. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Melanoma is a malignant form of cancer that affects the skin and has a particularly high mortality rate, so it requires early detection to increase the level of safety for users. Diagnosis and detection of skin cancer are usually done through manual screening and visual inspection. This process requires a long time, has high complexity, is subjective, and is prone to errors. CNN is one of the algorithms with advantages in accurate classification. In this research, early detection and classification of melanoma cancer were carried out based on two classes, namely benign and malignant using the Convolutional Neural Network method. Our proposed method yields an accuracy of 81.11% for the validation data. The accuracy results obtained can be improved by using more datasets and increasing the number of layers used. This study uses the CNN method using MobileNet V2 architecture to detect melanoma skin cancer. The class used is benign and malignant.

Defects in high-pressure die casting (HPDC) significantly impact product lifespan, casting quality, and manufacturing costs. This study investigates defects in the initial HPDC process of AlSi12 aluminum alloy cover plates for automotive hydraulic systems. The goal is to propose process schemes that eliminate defects, enhance quality, and improve mechanical properties. Three casting schemes were examined, combining three plunger velocities and two mechanical boosters, with a focus on their practical feasibility. A retained melt modulus model was used for numerical analysis to identify regions prone to shrinkage porosity. Strategies were developed to minimize the percentage of elements with shrinkage porosity while optimizing elongation and ultimate tensile strength through tensile tests and analyzing grain size via microstructure analysis. Numerical simulations were employed to design and refine the proposed schemes, correlating plunger velocities and mechanical boosting with experimentally validated product quality and mechanical properties. In Case 3, shrinkage porosity was reduced from 0.59 to 0.41% (30.5% improvement), elongation increased from 6.03 to 9.13% (51.4% improvement), ultimate tensile strength rose from 256.7 to 299.09 MPa (16.5% improvement), and average grain size decreased from 25.62 to 18.76 µm (26.8% improvement). Case 3 was validated by X-ray, demonstrating its effectiveness. Although minor shrinkage porosity persisted, helium leak tests confirmed no impact on the cover plate’s quality. This study highlights the significant role of numerical simulation in designing HPDC process schemes, providing a robust approach to improving product quality and mechanical performance.

This study was a part of larger study in examining pre-service mathematics teachers' Pedagogical Content Knowledge. The aim of the present study was to elaborate the prospective teachers' conceptual understanding in fraction and how they will teach it for the students. There were 50 participants in this study, all of them are the final year students of mathematics education study program of a state university in Bali who already took the teaching internship program in the school. The data were collected through written test and continued by interview with the participants. The data were analysed qualitatively using descriptive method. From the result, it is found that the prospective mathematics teachers have a difficulties in understanding the concept of fraction. It leads to the lack comprehension in teaching the concept to the students. Reflect to the result, it is recommended to the teacher training institution to emphasize the big ideas in school mathematics' topics to ensure the prospective teachers have a sufficient knowledge to teach mathematics meaningfully. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
