To date, the study model of IT value usually takes the form of a serial construction relating its components. This paper tries to offer a parallel construction in modeling the IT value study. The applied methodology is the design-science research approach to create the construction relating its components. To perfect the construct, the paper applies the partial adjustment valuation that functions as an estimating technique to approximate and evaluate the mathematical magnitude of the performing returns of a component compared to the real figures. The developed pattern undertakes a case study with Mandiri's data, an Indonesian state-owned banking industry, shows that the estimated revenue of the parallel configuration has a deviation of only 0.28% when compared with the bank's real revenue during the period 2004-2014. Thus, the parallel configuration may appear as the alternative configuration in the study of IT value as a result of its authenticity academically as well as pragmatically. © 2020 IEEE.

This research explores the use of a modified infrared (IR) camera equipped with a high-pass filter to distinguish between natural objects (vegetation) and artificial objects (synthetic military uniforms) in an environment where vegetation makes objects difficult to detect. In military operations, especially guerrilla warfare in tropical forests, detecting enemies camouflaged in vegetation makes it difficult to distinguish targeted objects. Visible light cameras usually struggle to distinguish between synthetic and natural colors. This methodology involves the use of Python programming and various libraries, such as Computer Vision (CV), to process images captured by modified cameras. A graphical user interface (GUI) was developed to analyze color values, focusing on the red, green, and blue spectra. The results show that the modified IR camera can more effectively separate synthetic and natural object color peaks compared to a standard visible light camera, offering potential applications in military reconnaissance and sniper operations. This research demonstrates how image processing can improve object detection in complex environments.

The development of critical thinking, creativity, and communication abilities is facilitated by the acquisition of writing skills, which are significant for students. Nevertheless, a considerable number of students presently encounter difficulties in locating the impetus and enthusiasm required for engagement in writing endeavors. The focus of the present paper is application design. The VBee application is a web-based application that facilitates the expression of user creativity and fosters a deeper appreciation for the art of writing. The application boasts a highly intuitive interface that effortlessly enables users to document their thoughts and experiences. It offers a plethora of features that not only facilitate writing but also foster self-expression, including customizable emoticons and the option to provide feedback. By designing the application, it could help support vocational school students in improving the quality of skill-focused education, particularly their English creative writing skill in enjoyment. Besides, the teachers are assisted to guide their students with technologically advanced and entertaining learning tools. © 2023 IEEE.

Tourists must plan a schedule for seeing tourist sites when visiting a tourist destination. This is necessary since each tourist attraction has numerous alternative tourist destinations that might be visited. One of the districts in Indonesia that is a tourist destination is the Rembang district. Rembang district is visited by many domestic and foreign tourists and has many tourist points which include heritage tourism, nature tourism, special interest tourism (culture, agriculture, crafts), museums, and shopping tours. By having a variety of alternative tourist destinations, tourists need to make an itinerary or a travel plan. This principle can be solved by involving aspects of user experience, and direct observation from researchers on tourism objects. The purpose of this study is to design a recommendation for a user experience-based tourist itinerary using K-Means Clustering. 20 tourist destinations are used in this study. According to the study's findings, the clustering approach and the K-means algorithm can solve the problem of grouping the itinerary on the trip package. There are five types of tour packages. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the clustering method and the K-means algorithm can solve the problem of grouping the itinerary on the tour package.

Data mining is a technique of extracting information that has not been known before in a collection of data in the database. Data mining has been applied in various fields that require extracting information, some of the work that can be generated with data mining is classification, prediction, and data grouping. In this study, an analysis of village data collection was carried out to explore the potential or knowledge of the data that has been presented with the main objective of producing a grouping of village status. To support clustering or grouping activities the K-means algorithm used with the general process is to carry out the modeling process without supervision and is one of the methods for grouping data with a system partition, with the principle of allocating each data to the centroid or the closest average, work steps conducted in support of this research is to collect data related to the analysis of data grouping and proceed with the calculation process in accordance with the work steps of the K-means algorithm, the amount of data used as a test of 303 villages scattered in the old Padang regency. The results of calculations by displaying a new group of Cluster 0 is occupied by 120 villages, cluster 1 with a total data of 123 villages, Cluster 2 with a total of 6 villages, cluster 3 with a total of 33 villages while cluster 4 with a total of 21. © 2020 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Measuring the Complexity of EMG Signal by Using Fuzzy Approximate Entropy in Post-Stroke Patients Rehabilitation

Stroke is one of world’s highest medical cases that cause physical or mental problem, even death. The treatment for overcoming stroke so far was by conducting rehabilitation or therapy. The therapy progress could be seen over the improvement indicated by stroke patients after participation in rehabilitation program. So far, the assessment of the level of development exhibited by stroke patients are still subjective. Meanwhile, Electromyograph (EMG) can be used as a quantitative method to evaluate the patient's improvement. The complexity of the EMG signal could define the progress of a rehabilitation process related to muscle function. One of the methods to calculate the complexity is fuzzy approximate entropy (fApEn). This study aims to propose fApEn as a quantitative method to evaluate the condition of stroke patients by comparing the complexity of the normal EMG, affected, and unaffected side limb of the patient's EMG signal. The value of fApEn on Subject 1 showed that the affected side obtained the complexity of 0.18141 and on the unaffected side of 0.80740. Subject 2 showed the complexity on the affected side of 0.58597 and the unaffected side of 1.02787, whereas the healthy subjects showed the complexity of 2.07856. The statistical results showed that the data were homogeneous and normally distributed. There was a significant difference between the results of fApEn on the affected side and the unaffected side. Thus, fApEn could be used as a quantitative method to determine the condition of muscle activity. © 2021 School of Science, IHU. All rights reserved.

Travel behaviour of domestic tourists concerning their choices of transportation mode has a significant role in managing traffic in the tourist destination. This study analyses the domestic tourists' choice and their pattern of needs of transportation mode in Bali as the case study. The developed models are based on utility maximisation of underlying preferences for each of the available modes of transport. Domestic tourists are randomly selected and interviewed using the questionnaire to record their daily trips. The study result indicates that income, number of visits and travel companions significantly influence the choice of transportation mode for domestic tourists. Meanwhile, income, number of visits, length of stays, trip purpose and main issues in selecting local transport mode significantly affect the pattern of needs of transportation mode for domestic tourists. For example, two accompanying persons will be three times more than that of seven persons or more to choose motorcycle and bus than a car. Domestic tourists who have visited Bali twice will be three times more than those who visited Bali once to use travel agents and rented vehicles than public and online transport and others. Further studies on short duration trips and sustainable mode of transport are suggested. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Since the growing trend of UAV-based delivery, some major logistic companies initiate to develop a UAV-based delivery service. UAV-based delivery needs to have a long flight range while maintaining the advantage of fly and land in narrow areas. Therefore, hybrid aircraft that combining fixed wing with multirotor configuration is commonly used. In this study, the airframe that is used for analysis is a quadrotor biplane-tailsitter with a wing-shaped fuselage configuration. To create a proper design, understanding the influence of the UAV's body with the air is essential. The purpose of this research comes from the idea that in biplane configuration, both wings affect each other and interacting with the wing-shaped fuselage. This research aims to evaluate the current wing gap configuration, compare the performance with different wing gaps, and investigate the flow patterns. In this paper, aerodynamic performance is analyzed in 4 wing gap variations, namely 2.5 chords, 3 chords, 4 chords, and 5 chords length with the wing chord as the reference value. The flight condition is 25 m/s and the angle of attack is varied from −10 to 26 degrees. The most optimum aerodynamic performance occurs in 4 chords length of the biplane wing gap.

Utilizing biomass waste as a potential resource for cellulose production holds promise in mitigating environmental *** current study aims to utilize pineapple biowaste extract in producing bacterial cellulose acetate-based membranes with magnetic nanoparticles(Fe_(3)O_(4)nanoparticles)through the fermentation and esterification process and explore its *** bacterial cellulose fibrillation used a high-pressure homogenization procedure,and membranes were developed incorporating 0.25,0.50,0.75,and 1.0 wt.%of Fe3O4 nanoparticles as magnetic nanoparticle for *** membrane characteristics were measured in terms of Scanning Electron Microscope,X-ray diffraction,Fourier Transform Infrared,Vibrating Sample Magnetometer,antibacterial activity,bacterial adhesion and dye adsorption *** results indicated that the surface morphology of membrane changes where the bacterial cellulose acetate surface looks *** crystallinity index of membrane increased from 54.34%to 68.33%,and the functional groups analysis revealed that multiple peak shifts indicated alterations in membrane functional ***,adding Fe_(3)O_(4)-NPs into membrane exhibits paramagnetic behavior,increases tensile strength to 73%,enhances activity against *** and ***,and is successful in removing bacteria from wastewater of the river to 67.4%and increases adsorption for anionic dyes like Congo Red and Acid Orange.

Used cooking oil is the largest waste that can be converted into biofuel as a renewable alternative energy source with catalytic cracking process. In this study, used cooking oil was cracked using a Cr-Carbon catalyst. The charcoal was produced from solid waste (shell) of oil palm industry. Three different chromium concentrations (1, 2, and 3%) were used for the ion-exchange process of Cr-charcoal to produce the catalyst. These catalysts were used for the catalytic cracking of used cooking oil at three levels of temperature (450, 500, and 550°C). X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) analysis were used for catalyst characterization. SEM-energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX) analysis indicates that Cr was successfully adsorbed into the catalyst. The highest oil fraction was obtained from catalytic cracking of used cooking oil at 450°C using Cr-charcoal catalyst synthesized using 1% Cr solution. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
