The location of the Mw 7.5 earthquake on September 28, 2018, was in the Sirenja District of Donggala Regency or about 75 km to the north of Palu City. We present this paper to complete information on disaster data in the northern part, especially for the Sirenja area as an epicenter location. The scope of this research is to present the types of geological hazards, including the area coverage that influenced them. Starting with studying the geological conditions of the Sirenja area, then identifying and mapping the types of hazards that occur. Five types of geological hazards hit the Sirenja area at that time, namely due to surface rupture faults, earthquake shocks, liquefaction effects, tidal flood inundation, and tsunami. Thus, September 28, 2018, is a time that marks the Sirenja area is prone to several geological hazards, and at any time or without knowing when a natural disaster like this will occur again. Based on the results of this study, the local government and the people of Sirenja District are expected to immediately relocate and make a risk reduction strategy or action plan, where the information from this paper can contribute to this.

The present progress in implementing artificial intelligence (AI) has encountered attitudes in human existence, encompassing both professional and everyday aspects, particularly within higher education. AI does not exclude those with anxiety, especially social anxiety, over the existence of technology and all types of complexity. Several types of research have established a correlation between social and technical blindness and views toward broad AI usage. However, no specific gender or age-generation characteristics have been identified. This study employs quantitative research methodology, specifically Smart-PLS software for PLS-SEM modelling. The research included a sample of 93 lecturers, both male and female, from generations X and Y in Indonesia. The findings of this study demonstrate that social technical blindness detrimentally impacts individuals’ views toward the utilization of AI. From a gender standpoint, the path coefficients have no notable disparity. Therefore, the path coefficients for both women and men are not significantly distinct. Consequently, the need for greater awareness and understanding of AI’s social and technological aspects impacts both women and men. This research provides practical implications by enhancing instructors’ comprehension and perception of AI’s efficacy, aiming to mitigate prevailing concerns. In theory, this research enhances the concept of self-determination theory. Subsequent investigations can include the constraints of this study, such as the specific nature and duration of artificial intelligence utilization.

Massive and continuous well pumping can result in significant groundwater table decline, potentially leading to groundwater depletion and land subsidence over the long term. The timelapse microgravity method, an innovation in gravity measurement techniques, is currently widely used in hydrological applications, including groundwater table monitoring. Groundwater pumping induces changes in subsurface mass distribution, resulting in subsurface mass anomalies that can be detected using gravity method. Many previous studies have employed the slab Bouguer approach to estimate gravity anomalies due to groundwater table changes. This method has significant error for detail anomaly value of groundwater table, which is high decline near production wells. According to Theis formula, the groundwater table decline model as drawdown cone (inverted cone), which gravitational field is calculated. Therefore, calculated gravity anomaly must account for the drawdown cone shape. In this study, gravity anomaly calculations for groundwater drawdown cones are resolved by integrating triple integrals using cylindrical coordinates both analytical and numerical methods. The analytical calculation of integrating triple integrals can only be resolved for two variables (variable z and [[EQUATION]]), and for [[EQUATION]] variable is calculated using numerical methods with the trapezoidal rule. By making the trapezoidal step smaller for closer the well, it is expected this calculation has smaller errors. This study aims to provide more accurate gravity anomaly calculations in accordance with the conceptual model of groundwater table changes. This technique can be used to help groundwater management where monitoring wells is insufficient. © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Jongkong reservoir creates a reservoir of water that is used for the purposes of raw water as fundamental media for improvement of drinking water production especially at dry season for the District of Koba. The advantage of being able to hold water in wet season and releasing it in dry season will be detained if the life storage of the reservoir can be utilized effectively, but sedimentation problem will decrease its volume which can influence the life time of reservoir. Finally the reservoir becomes less effective, so it is very important to study. The method which is used to predict an average erosion rate in the catchment area considers factors of rain erosivity, soil erodibility, ground inclination of slope or slope length, management of crop and land, soil conservation. Calculation was done by using the USLE equation (Universal Soil Loss Equation) which was developed by Wischmeier and Smith (1965, 1978). From this research result, the prediction of surface erosion rate in the basin catchment area in the year 2019 is equal to 53.20 mm/year or equivalent with 62,491.92 m3/year, and the value of Sediment Delivery Ratio (SDR) is equal to 32,28 %. The number of material which eroded is equal to 957.59 Ton/Ha/year so it is classified into the medium erosion class category. The dead storage of 5% of the the volume of the reservoir cage will be fully charged in the year 2022 or for 3 The next year and the total volume of the reservoir Ridge will be full of sediment in the year 2062 or 43 years. © 2020 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Analytical Dataset to Determine Squeezing Potential of Deep Tunnels

This article presents a dataset that consists of historical strain data from deep tunnel construction and an analytical study that uses the ground reaction curve (GRC) to calculate the support pressure required to lower the risk of squeezing potential. In deep tunnel excavation, high in-situ stress conditions can cause an instability phenomenon known as squeezing. Historical tunnel strain data are classified into categories based on the percentage of tunnel convergence observed. Furthermore, 480 ground reaction curves (GRC) were developed and analyzed: 5280 calculations were performed with tunnel radii of 3, 4, and 5 meters, depths ranging from 100 to 1000 meters (in increments of 100 meters), uniaxial compressive strength (σ ci ) values of 30 and 50 MPa, and Geological Strength Index ( GSI ) values from 20 to 90 (in increments of 10). Three primary factors were used to estimate support capacity: the reduction of internal pressure relative to in-situ stress ( p i /p o ), strain ( %ε ), and the stability factor ( σ cm /p o ). Strain ( %ε ) and the stability factor ( σ cm /p o ) were classified based on the resulting p i /p o (0-0.9). A graph was obtained to determine the minimum p i /p o that reflects all rock mass class conditions in deep tunnel construction in an effort to avoid squeezing at specific limits.

Every electronic device has a disadvantage that is heat generated from the components contained in the device while operating. The heat that occurs during the process can affect the effectiveness of these electronic devices. The cooling fan is directed to a heat source from an electronic device with the aim of maintaining the device's performance temperature. However, the cooling fan used still has some disadvantages in terms of dimensions. Therefore, research on synthetic jets is carried out as an innovation in cooling. This study aims to find wave characteristics as a source. Optimum frequency selection to support cooling. As well as the ideal height of synthetic jets to heat sources. The method used in the research is direct and computer-based data retrieval for CFD. The use of triangular waves as a source of cooling with a frequency of 80 Hz at an altitude of 8 cm can reduce rapidly. However, the lowest final temperature comes from a height of 2 cm which is 28.1 C. © 2020 IOP Publishing Ltd. All rights reserved.

Border and Inland areas are often faced with communication problems due to limited infrastructure and extreme geographical conditions. This research has produced three APRS-based communication system devices in border and inland areas that can be used to report emergency positions, namely Tracker, Digipeater, and Internet Gateway (IGate). Two APRS testing scenarios were conducted, namely sending beacons from Tracker and Ground Station, and sending beacons from Tracker, Digipeater, and Ground Station. The first scenario test results recorded a maximum distance of 2.36 kilometers (straight line) for sending and receiving information. Meanwhile, the second scenario test results can send and receive information with a maximum distance of 4.21 kilometers (straight line). This result confirms that the range of sending information signals using the digipeater device can expand the range of receiving information up to two times. Based on these results, the second scenario between Tracker, Digipeater, and Ground Station is more effectively used to increase communication coverage in border and inland areas.

Searching for symbolic models plays an important role in a wide range of domains such as neural architecture search and automatic program synthesis. Genetic programming is a promising stochastic method for searching effective symbolic models within an acceptable time. The genetic programming performance is closely related to the hardness of the fitness landscape. A better fitness landscape with less local optima normally implies that it is easier to search for better solutions. In recent years, there have been many studies enhancing genetic programming performance by forming better fitness landscapes. However, the better design of the fitness landscape highly relies on specific domain knowledge and consumes a lot of expert effort. This paper proposes a fitness landscape optimization method to automatically design better fitness landscapes for genetic programming search than the manually designed ones. We optimize the landscapes by optimizing the neighborhood structures of symbolic solutions. We verify the effectiveness of the proposed method in both supervised learning and combinatorial optimization problems. The results show that the proposed method significantly reduces the hardness of fitness landscapes. By simply searching against the automatically optimized fitness landscapes, a genetic programming method can have a very competitive performance with state-of-the-art methods. © 1997-2012 IEEE.

Family Planning (FP) field officers are the people actively working in the field to encourage people to get involved in the family planning program that supports the government in controlling the population of the country. However, many of the officers have stated that their recruits often make mistakes during the process of inputting data along, added with the long manual validation process. The available digital reporting application called Sistem Informasi Keluarga (SIGA) is also not used at its maximum capability, causing the decrease of data validity collected through the process. Using business process improvement (BPI), valueadded analysis, and gap analysis are performed to find the issues in the system that will become the base of the reporting system redesign. This research was done to provide a proper business process design that is needed to ensure maximum comprehension and reduction of data invalidity with the help of the existing application. The result of this research shows that the new business process design required the digitalization of the data input process using an information system and the reduction of the use of offline forms to increase the validity of data in the reporting system. © 2020 IEEE.

To control environmental pollution, the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) plays a vital role in treating wastewater to comply with quality standards before being discharged into the environment. However, not all WWTPs have worked optimally, so the periodic evaluations must be carried out to determine problems and what efforts can be made to improve WWTP processing quality. This study aims to evaluate the Jababeka 1 WWTP, which functions to treat wastewater in Industrial Area 1 and Industrial Area 7, which are in the Jababeka Industrial Estate (KIJ). Evaluation is carried out by comparing the actual processing efficiency with the related literature. Evaluation is also carried out by simulating the process and operation of WWTP using STOAT software. STOAT is one of the WWTP system modeling software mostly used to predict the wastewater treatment plant's performance. The test results show that for the efficiency of Jababeka 1, WWTP removal for parameters BOD, COD, and TSS are 90%, 93.02%, and 96.12%. Based on the data obtained, modeling based on sensitivity analysis was also carried out using STOAT software to determine the most significant WWTP performance parameters. It was found that the wastewater discharge was the most critical parameter affecting the removal efficiency of TSS and BOD. © The Authors, published by EDP Sciences, 2020.
