Several studies have shown that the expertise of young chefs graduating from culinary diploma programs in Indonesia who specialize in Indonesian food has not been able to demonstrate their expertise according to stakeholder needs. The implementation of the curriculum in certain subjects is expected to have an impact on the growing interest of students to take the course and will also affect work readiness in their fields. This study uses data mining techniques to process data obtained from closed instruments distributed to 60 students from 6 universities in Indonesia. As a result, there are some interesting patterns between curriculum management and the interests of young chefs that can be extracted from the data obtained. © 2020 IEEE.

The continued role of the green management supply chain has become a parameter of the company’s sustainability. The role that is realized is to provide effectiveness in terms of reducing risks arising from the supply chain. Risks that arise deserve to be identified by the achievement of reducing supply chain risks that occur. The purpose of this study is to model the risks of green supply chain management using the house of risk method. This method as an integration of FMEA-QFD. The product used as a case is snail chips from PT. QRP. Due to the ineffective supply chain, various risks arise where this risk in addition to harming the company also harms the snail material supply vendors. Identification of risks by occurrence and risk agents totaling 22 types. The findings serve as a basis for constructing potential risks modeled with a causal diagram. It was found that the highest case parameter was that there was poor communication with long responses, one of which was. As a result of this case, the prevention action indicator can be clearly known with consideration of 6M (man, machine, material, measurement, method and mother nature). That the preventive action relationship with 6M can create a green supply chain design according to existing conditions. The virtues of the design formed are considering 6M supported by the role of ISO.

This research was carried out to produce fuel (Oil Liquid Poduct/OLP) from catalytic cracking of a mixture of Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) and fiber waste from palm oil. USY zeolite was previously ion-exchanged by three levels of Ni-metal concentration (1%, 2%, 3%) before used as catalyst in the cacking process. The catalytic cracking was carried out at rasio of sample to catalyst was 6:1, three levels of temperature (400°C, 425°C and 450°C) and three levels of reaction time (10, 20 and 30 minutes).The SEM images and EDX spectra of Ni-USY zeolite catalysts showed that all catalysts were in crystalline form of FAU framework. The highest of OLP percentage, 24.5%, was produced by catalytic cracking at 450°C for 10 minutes using Ni-USY prepared by ion-exchange using 2% concentration of Nickel Nitrate solution. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Biogas quality in many installation of anaerobic digester for processing organic waste are found not optimum, especially in developing country where understanding of anaerobic processing is not well known. The methane content in the biogas are usually low that make it not possible to be utilized as a fuel of the engine. Biogas Purification usually will be introduced as a solution. But this idea is about complicated for simple or small anaerobic digester. Other solution is suggested by using enrichment of biogas by using other fuel such as hydrogen or blended with city gas such as LPG gas. But for preparing hydrogen gas or commercial will also costly. This research introduces simple technique for biogas enrichment by using denatured alcohol. The biogas contents were found around 30% vol. methane (CH4) and around 2% Carbon dioxide (CO2). The price of denatured alcohol is relative cheap because the selling tax is not as much as drinking alcohol. Engine with bigger combustion (420 cc) chamber was prepared for this purpose to make possible to be fuelled with biogas. The compression was set to reach 10 bar. The clearance of the both intake and exhaust valve was set in order to be possible to be running by using biogas. The biogas-air mixer was design for this purpose. The carburetor was set for use of denatured alcohol. It is found that the engine is running well by using biogas fuel that is enriched by using denatured alcohol. The emission was found better comparing using gasoline for the same engine. The fuel consumption is reported for future economic analyses. © 2021 Trans Tech Publications Ltd, Switzerland.

Generating hydrogen from renewable energy sources is widely recognized as an effective strategy for addressing critical challenges in the energy sector while contributing to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. This study aims to assess the wind energy potential for electricity and hydrogen production in five locations on Sumba Island using 10 years (2011–2020) of data from the NASA's POWER Project. A wind variability assessment was performed on five wind turbines ranging from 500 kW to 1.5 MW and using electrolysis technology. The results indicated a hydrogen production potential of 25–57 tons per year. Economic analysis of hydrogen production for Haharu reveals an attractive internal rate of return (IRR) of 43% with a payback period (PBP) of 2.25 years and a net present value (NPV) of 1.3 MM USD, the levelized cost of electricity (LCOE) of 0.0241 USD/kWh, and the levelized cost of Hydrogen (LCOH) of 1.01 USD/kg. Sensitivity analysis underscores the critical influence of investment and revenue on project profitability, highlighting their substantial impact on determining a project's success or failure. These findings emphasize the potential of Sumba Island as a hub for sustainable energy production to meet the growing demand for clean and renewable energy sources. © 2024 Hydrogen Energy Publications LLC

Aluminium in water treatment sludge can be recovered as coagulants by acidification method. However, there are some factors that affect efficiency in recovering aluminium, such as stirring speed during acidification, pH, and sludge characteristic. This study aims to find the optimum acidification stirring speed in recovering alum and to evaluate the performance of recovered coagulant compared to a pure coagulant. Aluminium recovery is carried out by adding sulphuric acid until the pH of the sludge reaches 2.5. The acidic sludge is stirred for 30 minutes, with acidification stirring speed is varied from 240-720 rpm, and left for settling until the supernatant is formed. The supernatant was used as a recovered coagulant, examined using a jar test to determine the optimum dose, and compared with the pure coagulant. The results show that the optimum acidification stirring speed was obtained at 540 rpm, where mass balance shows aluminium recovery efficiency of 16.5%. The optimum dose for recovered coagulant was 25 ppm, with a turbidity reduction of 93.38% in jar test. While the optimum dose for pure alum was 20 ppm, with turbidity reduction of 93.26%. Though potentially reduced higher turbidity, the recovered coagulant has slightly lower quality than the pure coagulant, which required a higher optimum dose. © 2020 IOP Publishing Ltd.

Batukaras Village is a village located in Cijulang District, in the southern part of Pangandaran Regency, West Java. Batukaras is one of the tourist destinations that have the potential to be visited by the tourist because of its beautiful view and potential economic income from the fishery. Beyond the potential for natural beauty, Batukaras Village also has the potential for disaster. One of them is the tsunami caused by the earthquake, with a magnitude of 7.7 in 2006. The Pangandaran tsunami on July 17 became a memorable disaster for the local community. It reached a height of 21 meters. It has left more than 300 people dead, 301 seriously injured, 551 slightly injured, and 156 missing, accompanied by huge property losses. Batukaras Village community has implemented 12 tsunami ready indicators IOC-UNESCO. Therefore, this study aims to map 12 tsunami ready IOC-UNESCO indicators in Batukaras Village to evaluate which indicators the government and community of Batukaras Village. The field survey and interviews are done to obtain data to identify the 12 tsunami ready indicators in Batukaras Village. Based on the IOC-UNESCO tsunami indicator mapping results, Batukaras Village has fulfilled 11 of the 12 indicators set. Based on the identification result, the village government has not yet fulfilled indicator five. Therefore the ITB Research and Community Service Institute (LPPM) team assisted in making an evacuation route map to fulfill these indicators. However, in the future, the Batukaras Village government, assisted by the entire community, can be committed to maintaining and improving all existing disaster preparedness assets.

Lampung Province is one of the regions with the highest cocoa production, but many factors can interfere with cocoa production. One of them is the factor of pests and diseases of cocoa that cannot be identified and prevented beforehand. An expert system is a system that adopts expert knowledge or experts in a particular field. However, the diagnosis usually contains uncertainty in the form of answers and statements used. Certainty Factor (CF) algorithm, is one of the algorithms that is able to overcome uncertainty by providing a value for the level of trust from experts and users. However, because the CF value is based on the level of confidence in the symptoms experienced by the user, it creates a problem, namely the consistency of the user's answers. So, it is necessary to make improvements to the CF algorithm, to overcome the inconsistency of user answers through the use of Consistency Ratio (CR). Through the use of CR, inconsistencies are overcome through comparisons between the consistency index and the random index. Based on the results of the accuracy test, the proposed model is able to produce an accuracy rate of 86.67% in the diagnosis of pests and diseases on cocoa plants.

This research aims to develop an application for selecting the best new tenant at PT Angkasa Pura II Sultan Thaha Jambi Airport Branch by utilizing Weighted Product (WP) method as the decision support system. Our approach is descriptive research with data analysis technique using four prospective tenants coded A-1 to A-4. The data was collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and literature study. The steps for selecting the best new tenant using the WP method include determining the criteria, sorting the suitability of alternatives and criteria, determining the weight of each criterion and its normalization, calculating the score, S value as an alternative preference, and calculating the ranking, V value as the final alternative preference. Based on the final calculation results, the new tenant coded A-4 is the best alternative based on the data collected from the Financial Management (FHFM) Unit and the Commercial Unit, with a value of V-4 is 0.294. © 2023 IEEE.

Several studies have examined the connection between innovation, technology, and organizational culture in recent years. Management of technology and innovation is crucial to an organization's expansion and success. The development of an innovative organizational culture comes before technology and innovation management. This study's primary goal was to assess how organizational culture affects innovation in the Indian service sector. The study made use of a paradigm for understanding organisational culture created by Cameron and Quinn, which looks at culture as a collection of conflicting values from four angles. A descriptive survey research design was used in the investigation. Employees of service industries made up the study's population. More than twenty IT organizations participated in the survey, and 120 out of 180 respondents returned completed questionnaires. This indicated a response rate of 66%.The collected data was analyzed using inferential data analysis techniques and descriptive statistics. Tables and figures were created after analysis with IBM SPSS software. The results demonstrated that the strongest associations with innovation and technology were found in companies with flexible, collaborative, and employee-friendly cultures. Lastly, the study suggests areas for additional research, such as employing a new organizational culture model for the study or qualitative techniques for data collecting and analysis to reveal deeper cultural features. © 2024 IEEE.
