This paper presents the smart parking system using NodeMCU ESP8266 for web-based car reservation in public areas. Conventional parking system made car users take a long time to find the parking in public areas like shopping centers or malls. Therefore, its necessary to overcome this problem by implementing the smart parking system of car reservation. The system prototype integrates the Internet of Things (IoT) technology, NodeMCU ESP8266 (microcontroller), Ultrasonic Sensor HC-SR04 (vehicle detector sensor in parking area), IR obstacle sensor (entry and exit), SG90 Servo (at the entry and exit gate) and Firebase to create a real-time database connected to a web platform. The system provides real-time slot availability information via the web platform and LCD as information at the entrance gate. Users can easily make and cancel reservations with additional features such as OTP verification, and automatic booking cancellation have been successfully implemented. The prototype test method consist of calibration test, sending OTP test, automatic booking cancellation test and manual booking cancellation test. The result of calibration test on 10 cm range have a 80% success rate for ultrasonic sensor 1 as well as the result of ultrasonic sensor 2. While, additional features test result such as sending OTP, automatic booking cancellation, and manual booking cancellation having 100% success rate. It can be concluded that this prototype is successfully implemented and reach the goals with minimum error can be tolerated. The authors suggest to adding a keypad and payment system to this prototype for improvement in the future.

Technology advancements in energy harvesting have been sparked by increasing demand for renewable energy sources that are sustainable. This research work outlines the development and experiment of a prototype of piezoelectric voltage generation for energy harvesting from human footsteps. The study addresses the feasibility of generating electricity by converting mechanical energy from the vibrations generated by foot traffic in public areas such as stairs and entrance doors. The objectives of this study are to implement a sustainable and efficient method of generating electricity using piezoelectric materials, explore, and also optimize the mechanical design of the prototype to maximize the conversion of mechanical energy into electrical energy. The proposed system was developed on 2 different devices which are Tile A (25 parallel and 5 series sensor connections) and Tile B (20 parallel and 5 series sensor connections) and tested under different circumstances such as different tile placements, weights, and conditions which are 100, 200, and 300 steps to address the consistency on each predetermined parameter. Furthermore, the final system has the highest voltage generated up to 0.98 V from tile A and 2.54 V from tile B. This is due to the different approach of human footsteps when stepping on stairs and entrance door.

This work deals with optimization problems in the field of audio signals with particular emphasis on recognizing guitar chords. As an extension to the previous works done in this field, the primary goal was to minimize the feature extraction length without loss of recognition performance. In this case, this work used two such well known methods in audio signal processing as the Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) and the Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT). This method is based on the iterative analysis of three main system attributes: the frame blocking length; the choice of wavelet functions; and the DWT coefficient selection offset. After careful tuning of these parameters, this work was able to optimize the feature extraction length to only three, which however represents a modest improvement on the previous works in this field. The system developed in this research obtained recognition accuracy of up to 91.43% when the optimized feature extraction length was employed. The significance of this study extends to the non-conventional applications of guitar chord recognition. Shortening the feature extraction length is expected to improve more usages in the different applications of the music technology.

This article presents the development and implementation of an Internet of Things (IoT) based Smart Controlled Poultry Farm Management System to enhance the efficiency and welfare of day-old chicks. The system prototype employs a DS18B20 temperature sensor and a microcontroller to automatically monitor and regulate the temperature, feeding, and drinking processes within the cage. Additionally, a web platform is provided for real-time condition monitoring informing the owner of any problems that may occurred. Temperature within the cage is maintained in the range of 30°C to 35°C with a measurement error rate of ±1°C. This temperature range is controlled by switching the fan on and off, as well as opening and closing the curtain. Experimental results indicate that the system has the potential to improve the efficiency of maintaining optimal chick weight and temperature, as well as ensuring consistent feeding times, all of which are crucial for sustainable poultry production. These parameters were monitored over a period of 21 days.

Renewable energy is a key focus of government policy aimed at reducing dependence on fossil fuels. In alignment with the Renewable Energy mix target and government initiatives promoting solar power, PLN Indonesia Power Bali PGU has installed a floating solar power plant on the surface of the Muara Nusa Dua reservoir. The 100 kWp floating solar power plant at Muara Nusa Dua serves as a showcase project for the G20 activities in Bali. This study presents a feasibility analysis of the 100 kWp Floating Solar Power Plant in the Muara Nusa Dua reservoir, conducted by PLN Indonesia Power Bali PGU from both technical and economic perspectives. Data collection involved real-time monitoring of energy production from October 2022 onwards and detailed tracking of monthly investment costs for the PLTS. Simulation results indicate that the PLTS can generate 145,930.08 kWh annually, yielding an economic benefit of approximately Rp. 236,406,730.00 per year. The analysis concludes that the 100 kWp Muara Nusa Dua Floating PLTS is viable and beneficial both technically and economically.
