The challenge of distributing climacteric fruit is quality assurance due to the long-distance and perishability nature of the fruit. While monitoring transportation conditions is common, little research has developed a prediction model of fruit quality affected by transportation conditions. The presented study designs a quality monitoring system for mango's long-distance supply chain by integrating the Internet of Things (IoT) and machine learning. The system modeling utilizes Business Process Model and Notation and a Use Case Diagram based on requirement analysis. The design of IoT architecture addresses the needs of the supply chain actors to monitor the transportation process and predict the final quality of mango upon arrival. Artificial Neural Network (ANN) predicts mango grade classification upon arrival. The dataset consists of initial (harvest) maturity level and transportation conditions as predictor variables and mango final grade as the target variable. The accuracy of the prediction model reaches more than 95%. The verification and validation of the system with traceability technique on the user's requirements confirm the fulfillment of each requirement's input, tasks, and output. This conceptual design presents IoT and machine learning as promising solutions to quality assurance problems in the global fresh produce supply chain. © 2022 IEEE.

Microbial fuel cells (MFCs) are bioelectrochemical instruments that exploit living microbes as biocatalysts for the conversion of chemical energy stored in the bonds of substrates into electrical energy. Monitoring of current or voltage generation in microbial fuel cells at rigid time intervals is noteworthy. Unfortunately, bioelectrochemical studies are often constrained due to the need for expensive and precise devices for electrochemical measurements. Utilization of low-cost microcontroller as monitoring system can be a considerable solution, compared with data logger that is a high-cost device, or compared with commercial multimeter that have to be used manually in collecting data. In this present work, microbial fuel cells electricity generation was successfully online monitored and the voltage data was also successfully collected using an ESP32 based-data logger. Statistically, there was no significant difference between ESP32 and multimeter in voltage reading, and the average of absolute and relative error values were 0.85 mV and 2.72%, respectively. It suggested that ESP32 could be a possible and low-cost monitoring system for microbial fuel cells bioelectricity generation. Additionally, ADS1115 (an external analogue to digital converter interface to ESP32) has up to four analogue channels, whereas multimeter has just one. In this research, microbial fuel cell powered by isolate KCf1 generated highest voltage value of 789 mV and power density of 541 mW m⁻². © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Iranian Society of environmentalists (IRSEN) and Science and Research Branch, Islamic Azad University 2023.

Artificial intelligence was recently implemented in various fields. One of these applied artificial intelligence systems was the Performance Monitoring System “SiMoniK” for MSMEs. This system was designed through the C4.5 algorithm and the Porat-Rank method. The C4.5 algorithm was applied to classify the MSMEs into three classifications, e.g. the micro enterprise classification, the small enterprise classification, and the medium enterprise classification. Moreover, the Porat-Rank method was also applied to distribute the solving-problem recommendations and to improve the independence of MSMEs. The result of this study was that the C4.5 algorithm could classify the MSME data correctly in the form of an accuracy value of 99.2%. Besides, the Porat-Rank method could also provide recommendations in the form of outstanding quality with an NDCG mean value of 0.87.

In the agricultural countries, rice husk is an abundant waste, especially as one of the largest sources of silica (SiO2) production that can be produced. By complete combustion, to about 87% - 97% SiO2 content can be produced from rice husks. Alkaline solution is used as a solvent in the solid-liquid extraction process of rice husk ash. The mass of 10 grams of rice husk ash was weighed for the extraction process added with 80 ml of potassium hydroxide (KOH) solution with 10%, 15% and 20% various concentration for 60 minutes to extract the SiO2 content. The solution was added with 1 N hydrochloric acid (HCl) solution to precipitate the SiO2, after the extraction process was complete. The SiO2 formed is then separated from the rest of the solution by filtration. Next step is the drying process which aims to remove the moisture content of the resulting SiO2. In a systematic study, for 60 minutes the rice husks were soaked and washed using HCl and then heated in a muffle furnace. The results of this study showed that all samples are succeeded in homogenizing SiO2 with a purity close to 90%. Furthermore, through X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) analysis was proven these results obtained through solid-liquid extraction of KOH from rice husks. Green SiO2, known as biosilica, is useful and has potential in reinforcing compounds, including applications as filler in tires and natural rubber compounds. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

In the digital age, managing urban heritage sites presents unique challenges that necessitate the integration of smart technologies. This review assesses the integration and impact of smart city initiatives on sustainable environmental management in urban heritage sites. Through a comprehensive literature review of 84 papers from ScienceDirect and Scopus, this study categorizes the findings into three themes: Smart City Initiative Analysis, Heritage Site Considerations, and Smart Technology Integration Models. The review highlights the significant contributions of smart technologies, such as digital analysis, 3D documentation, and Information and communication technology, in enhancing sustainability and preserving cultural values. Case studies from Amsterdam, Barcelona, Seville, and Uzbek illustrate these initiatives’ practical applications and outcomes. The paper underscores the need for robust policies, public awareness, and multidisciplinary collaboration to maximize the benefits of smart city initiatives. Finally, the study identifies gaps in current research and suggests further research directions for integrating smart technologies into urban heritage site management.

The Semarang City Government has issued a Mayor Regulation on Green Buildings since 2019. Since then the construction of buildings with a certain floor area in Semarang City must follow this regulation. Evaluating implementation constraints related to green building construction based on the experience of the development actors, is an important thing to do. This study aims to identify obstacles in realizing green buildings in the city of Semarang. Data collection was carried out through a questionnaire survey of respondents from development actors involved in green buildings such as contractors, consultants and project owners and bureaucratic officials related to green building licensing. Data analysis was performed using descriptive analysis to reach agreement between respondents. Next, a hierarchy of these constraints will be sought. Constraints found in realizing green buildings are: lack of socialization from the city government, alternative materials, lack of best practices, experts, and financing. For this reason, a strategy is needed to overcome these obstacles from every aspect or based on a combined consideration of all aspects. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

This study aims to analyze the validity and effectiveness of the hairpiece module. The research method used is development or known as the Research and Development method. The stages in the research process are the analysis, design, development, implementation, and testing stages. Tests carried out in the form of validation were carried out by expert judgments or media and material experts, then the media was tested by students. The results of this study get the assessment of media experts in the very feasible category and material experts in the very feasible category. The results of student trials in small group trials were in the good category and large group trials were included in the good category. The analysis of the pre-test and post-test results showed a gain of 0.53 in the experimental group with moderate criteria and a gain of 0.42. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

The number of Islamic boarding school teaching both Information Technology (IT) Education and Religious Education is still limited. Vocational High School of Information Technology Annajiyah located in Tambakberas, Jombang, East Java is a school having both subjects taught. The existence of Vocational High School of Information Technology Annajiyah has not been widely known by outside and inside society of Jombang Regency. Therefore, Therefore, analysis of the use of SEO is necessary to determine the potential of website visit and school promotion. Previously, Vocational High School of Information Technology Annajiyah promoted school by using brochures only. This method was considered able to introduce the school through traditional way. Analysis result of improving SEO can be seen in Google Analytic recorded a number of site visits amounted 403 in June, where 82.2% of active users are dominated by mobile phone users and fluctuation of the number of visits. This increase is affected by both the implementation of SEO and online PPDB process during the COVID pandemic. © 2021 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Human-induced climate change has altered the frequency and severity of heavy precipitation, droughts, and floods worldwide. Sri Lanka, a developing country in the Indian Ocean, has suffered frequent floods, affecting over 64 % of the population in the past decade. The Gin River, the primary drinking water source of the densely populated Galle district with over 1 million residents, faces recurrent flood disasters. Therefore, this study employed a multi-model ensemble to simultaneously simulate the impact of climate change on both river flow and inundation extent in the frequently flooded Gin River basin located in humid tropical monsoon region. Bias-corrected climate projections of an ensemble of five General Circulation Models (GCMs) from the Coupled Model Inter-comparison Project Phase 5 (CMIP5) under Representative Concentration Pathway (RCP) 4.5 emission scenario were used to project future river flow and flood inundation in the Gin River basin, Sri Lanka. This research aims to: 1) know the formulation of pomade making from aromatic pandan wangi leaf essential oil, 2) know the characteristics of pomade from the essential oil of pandan wangi leaves, and 3) know the quality of pomade from the essential oil of fragrant pandan leaves, and 4) the anti-fungal activity of pomade from the essential oil of pandan wangi leaves. Research methods used by research and development (R&d) models. Formulation of pomade manufacture of pandan wangi leaf essential oil is carried out based on the results of research that produces a stable formula that is pomade with the appropriate quality SNI with the base of pomade type oil based and not petrol based with a concentration of 34% of the total weight of pomade. Pomade formula is added to the essential oil of pandan wangi leaves with different concentrations of 2.5% (formula 1), 5% (formula 2) and 7.5% (formula 3). The characteristics and quality of pomade are known from organoleptic and hedonic tests that 47% of respondents strongly agree with pomade has the aroma of essential oil of pandan wangi leaves, 52% of respondents strongly agree with the color of pomade in dark green, 45% of respondents strongly agree with the texture of pomade very smooth without any granules, the respondent's response after pomade is on a smooth impression as much as 90.56% and the impression is moist as much as 90.00%. Formula 1 to formula 3 provide homogeneous results. Formulas 1 through 3 have a pH balance with pH range of hair and oil on the scalp which is 5.5 between pH 4.5 -5.5. The largest antifungal activity is in formula 3 (essential oil content 7.5%) with an inhibithor zone diameter of 37 mm. This indicates that the greater the concentration of pandan wangi leaf essential oil, the stronger the antifungal activity against niger's Aspergillus. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
