Flood in Jakarta is occurred almost every year due to inadequate flood control systems to the flood prediction, inadequate drainage system, and trash that clog the drainage. The increase of rainfall is also one of the causes of flooding. That changing rainfall characteristics can affect river flow. This study aims to analyze the trend of rainfall in different time frames and its effect to flood discharge. The extreme rainfall trend is analyzed for every 15 years period from rainfall data of 1985 to 2019 for several return periods. Three period is selected for trend analysis and compared to the baseline data (1985-2019). Based on the analysis, the extreme rainfall for 1995-2009 and 2005-2019 period compared to the baseline is increased for all return periods. The increasing percentage is approximately 3-10% and 5-16% respectively. Since the extreme rainfall is increased, the design discharge is also increased for all return periods. The increasing percentage for 1995-2009 and 2005-2019 period compared to the baseline is 4-12% and 7-19% respectively. However, the design rainfall and discharge for the period 1985-1999 is lower than the baseline. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

The purpose of this research is to know the growth rate and biomass production of Scenedesmus obliquus in palm oil mill effluent (POME) medium taken from aerobic pond and to know the lipid concentration produced by S. obliquus. In this research, S. obliquus was cultured in various POME concentration, those were 20, 60, 80, 90, 95, and 100% v/v, while the concentration of inoculum was 30% v/v, and fatty acid content was analysed by gas chromatography. The results revealed that growth rate was decrease with the increasing concentration of POME (0.3545, 0.1792, 0.1566, 0.1268, 0.1158, and 0.1008/day), dry biomass weight was increase with the increasing concentration of POME (0.40, 1.20, 1.30, 1.77, 2.28, and 2.45 g/L), and lipid content also tended to increase with the increasing concentration of POME (13.10%, 36.59%, 36.65%, 50.37%, 60.40%, and 64.98%). Oleic acid and behenic acid were the dominant fatty acid content in S. obliquus lipid cultured in 100% concentration POME media. It is concluded that aerobic-pond POME can be utilized as growth medium for S. obliquus with a high lipid content. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Dye-containing waste should be carefully treated using environmentally friendly technology to prevent environmental harm and preserve water resources. Adsorptive membranes are a promising new approach for decreasing, recovering, and reusing waste while also removing contaminants like dyes. In this work, two different techniques are employed to create membranes using sugarcane bagasse pulp and carbon from charcoal. In the first technique, the surface of sugarcane bagasse is coated with charcoal paste as shown in Figure 1, while in the second, the carbon is combined with sugarcane bagasse pulp particles before being formed into sheets. It is discovered that the manufactured membranes has micron-sized pores. It is discovered that the mixed-fabricated membrane has a 99.4% better efficiency than the coated one. The membranes' surfaces are characterized using FTIR and SEM analysis. © 2024 Wiley-VCH GmbH.

The covid-19 pandemic case has changed the structure of life in all aspects throughout the world. The field of man-made environment or architecture is no exception. The interior arrangement of a building, as part of the man-made environment, is also affected. The interior design of a building today seems to be obliged to participate in following the standards of new health-protocols in the new normal *** about the interior of the building that has already been utilized? Of course it requires further study to find out whether the interior of a building can be said to be healthy or not. This study aims to examine the interior design of the lecturer room E12 building 2nd floor UNNES in terms of health that is emphasized from the behavior of its users by referring to the situation of the covid-19 pandemic and its future prospects. The research method used is by field observations to search visual data, observing user behavior and textual data. Those who are categorized as users of the lecturer room E12 building 2nd floor UNNES are lecturers from the Department of Architecture, students, administrators and guests. The results of this study indicate that based on the pattern of user behavior and associated with the standard requirements of space, area, volume of space, material and infrastructure conditions, interior design of lecturer room E12 building 2nd floor UNNES, is included in healthy category, although there are several minor corrections that can be included as suggestions for improvement in order to adjust to the new normal era during the covid-19 pandemic period and thereafter. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Lab-scale anaerobic continuous stirred-tank reactor (CSTR) treating fresh leachate from solid waste transfer station was operated by varying organic loading rate (OLR) from 1 to 20 ***/m3.d. The fresh leachate contains chemical oxygen demand (COD) of 100,184 mg/l, BOD5 of 71,000 mg/l., and pH of 3.00-4.36. During the operation of CSTR, organic (COD) removal efficiency was 75-80%. When OLR increased to 15 ***/m3.d, the presence of volatile fatty acid (TVA) became unstable. The organic content in sludge was found varied in the range of 0.45-0.75. Average biogas production in the CSTR was 58.55 L/d with highest methane content of 68 % achieved at an OLR of 10 ***/m3.d. This study demonstrates a possibility of treating high-strength fresh leachate in single-stage CSTR for energy recovery. © 2022 IEEE.

One of the challenges for small and medium-sized businesses is how to develop marketing targets for the products they produce, this can be done by utilizing information technology. However, based on the records of the Central Bureau of Statistics, most of the education levels of small and medium-sized business actors are elementary school graduates, which is 48% which causes them to not use information technology as a means to expand their product marketing. In this study, researchers conducted trials on the Kalamansi Syrup Business to apply information technology in the form of social media and sales applications such as Shopee, Facebook, Lazada etc. From this application, it is found that there is an increase in the number of customers who are influenced by information from the application of information technology. © 2021 IEEE.

The Cengklik Reservoir is operated for irrigation of rice fields in 3 sub-districts in Boyolali Regency, namely Sambi, Ngemplak, and Nogosari. At the present time, the volume of the Cengklik Reservoir has decreased and resulted in dryness during the dry season. One of the main causes is due to the high sedimentation rate. This research was conducted to evaluate changes in land use that resulted in sedimentation in the Cengklik Reservoir. Erosion prediction in this study uses USLE (Universal Soil Loss Equation) analysis. The amount of sediment obtained uses the standard erosion data from USLE calculations, namely by multiplying the amount of erosion by the SDR and the area of River Basin. The potential for erosion and sedimentation used land use data for 10 years, from 2009 to 2019. Based on the research, the amount of erosion and sedimentation in the Cengklik Reservoir was fluctuated with the highest amount occurring in 2016, with erosion of 9,292 tones/ha/year and sedimentation of 4304,154 tons/year. In general, erosion and sedimentation have increased from 2009 to 2019. The classification of erosion in the Cengklik Reservoir according to this study was categorized as light erosion. The trap efficiency used in this study was calculated using formulae based on the research of Heinemann (1981) using the Brune method for small reservoirs with an area of less than 0.5 km2. In general, based on this study, the Trap Efficiency in Cengklik Reservoir was 95.254%. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Higher concentration of nutrients has been characterized from office buildings compared to domestic wastewater. A Modified Septic Tank (MST), which consists of anoxic conditions followed by a Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor (MBBR) is proposed to treat office wastewater. This research investigated the effect of Recirculation Ratio (RR) on organic and nutrient removal in MST. The synthetic wastewater with COD: TN: TP (252:85:3), which is similar to actual office wastewater was used. The experimental data were obtained from three RR values (2, 3 and 4). The results showed COD, TN, NH4, and TP removal ranged from 88% to 90%, 64% to 78%, 68% to 86%, and 56% to 64%, respectively. The effluent concentrations of COD and NH4 ranged from 21 to 30 and 9 to 23 mg/L after applying RR and from 19 to 24 and 27 to 29 mg/L without RR, respectively. RR had the significant effect on organic and nutritional removal (p 4 in the effluent needs to be considered. © 2020 The Authors, published by EDP Sciences.

This study investigates the glacial lake outburst flood(GLOF)hazards in the Tsambagarav mountain range in Western Mongolia,focusing on the Khukhnuruu Valley and its interconnected proglacial *** the last 30 years,significant glacier retreats,driven by rising temperatures and changing precipitation patterns,have led to the formation and expansion of several proglacial *** combined with satellite data and meteorological analysis was used to assess the dynamics of glacier and lake area changes,with particular focus on the flood events of July *** research reveals a substantial reduction in glacier area,particularly in the Khukhnuruu E complex,where glacier area decreased by 19.3%.The study highlights the influence of increasing temperatures and summer precipitation,which have accelerated ice melt,contributing to the expansion and eventual breaching of ***,lake area changes were influenced by the steepness of the terrain,with steeper slopes exacerbating peak discharge during *** the studied seven lakes(Lake 1 to Lake 7),Lake 1 experienced the most dramatic reduction,with a decrease in area by 73.51%and volume by 84.84%,followed by Lake *** study underscores the region's vulnerability to climate-induced hazards and stresses the need for a comprehensive early warning system and disaster preparedness measures to mitigate future risks.
