This study aims to design an assessment instrument to assess students' cognition in computer networking lessons. The design and design of the test instrument followed the ADDIE model, from the analysis stage to determine student targets and characteristics, then the design stage, determining learning objectives, learning material design, and question grids, at this stage the number of Subject Matter Experts (SME) was also determined as many as 6 people, for 6 Subject Matter Experts (SME), the minimum acceptable Content Validation Ratio (CVR) is 0.99, while the Content Validation Index (CVI) is 0.83. At the development stage, 81 items were designed as a draft assessment instrument. At the implementation stage, the Subject Matter Experts (SME) assessed each item on the draft assessment instrument. This study uses a quantitative content validity approach from the Lawshe model with a 3-point scale as follows: essential, useful but not necessary, and non-essential. Each Subject Matter Expert (SME) was given an instrument to assess each item in the test instrument. The Subject Matter Expert (SME) will determine whether an important question is given, normal or normal, or whether the question is not important given to students. At the evaluation stage, the Subject Matter Expert (SME) assessment of the draft test instrument will be compiled and the Content Validation Ratio (CVR) value and the Content Validation Index (CVI) value calculated to determine content validity. © 2022 IEEE.

Database lectures in the informatics engineering study program teach the life cycle of database system development, both in terms of concepts, utilization, administration to database application systems to be studied, practiced and understood by students. Database teaching in the informatics engineering department of a private university with very diverse student participants, the ability to master computer and information technology and skills requires teaching material, lecturing strategies, lecturer quality, and facilities must also be able to adjust toward challenges, concept development, and database technology. This database design research model used Hevner's information systems research framework, starting with reference research, database lecture analysis, rigor and research relevance. This research covered the steps of constructing artifacts in the form of constructs, models, methods, instantiation, and evaluation of artifacts. The use of the framework intended to support business strategies and processes in study programs and ensure the relevance of research. The benefits of this research will produce a database lecture model that can be used as a reference and lecture development in the informatics engineering study program. Reference to produce graduates with understanding and skills in database design, the use of Database Management System (DBMS), the ability in administration and professional capability in the database field. Cataracts are the main factor causing blindness in Indonesia. Traditional diagnostic methods involving clinical examination by an ophthalmologist using a slit-lamp and visual tests have many challenges such as limited resources, time, and medical expertise may not be available in all locations, especially in less developed areas. Utilizing medical image technology is a wise choice because it allows early detection and monitoring of the development of this cataract disease Technology is needed to identify medical images that have valuable information so that early detection or monitoring of cataract development can be carried out. CNN as a part of deep learning has the ability to perform automatic feature extraction so that it can identify eye images. A CNN model for recognizing cataracts in eye images taken directly from Bhayangkara Hospital in Denpasar Bali has been developed in this research. The model developed is equipped with a dropout layer technique to prevent overfitting. The test results show that the CNN developed in this research produces very good performance with an average accuracy level of 92% on public dataset images, and 94% on primary dataset images. Tested using the primary dataset and public dataset, this CNN model shows very good performance because it can correctly identify an average of 94% of eye images in the primary dataset, and 92% of eye images in the public dataset.. © 2024 IEEE.

In response to the burgeoning interest in tourist destination sentiment analysis, this study focuses on Indonesia’s renowned Raja Ampat. Our primary objective is to employ Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA), a topic modeling technique, to delve into sentiments expressed in a corpus of 5,227 TripAdvisor documents concerning Raja Ampat. Leveraging the Vader library for data preprocessing, our analysis reveals a dominant trend of positivity, with 80% of sentiments classified as positive, while 15.8% are neutral, and 4.2% are negative. Through systematic experimentation with Bag of Words (BoW) and Term Frequency-Inverse Document Frequency (TF-IDF) feature representations, two major topics emerge: ‘Environmental Tourism’ and ‘Snorkeling & Services.‘ Remarkably, the LDA model attains coherence scores of 0.6005 (BoW) and 0.4148 (TF-IDF), underscoring the robustness of our analysis. These findings not only contribute valuable insights into the prevailing sentiments and dominant topics associated with Raja Ampat tourism but also offer practical implications for the industry. The tourism sector in Raja Ampat can leverage these insights to enhance services and experiences, ultimately facilitating sustainable tourism development in this ecologically vital region. This research thus serves as a significant step toward promoting informed decision-making and improving tourist experiences in Raja Ampat and similar destinations, fostering sustainable growth and preservation of natural beauty. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

Design teaching which is part of the system development life cycle, both information systems and application systems is very important to be taught, learned and understood in the informatics engineering study program. System design teaching in private universities in Indonesia whose students are very diverse in terms of abilities and skills require teaching materials, lecture strategies, quality of lecturers and facilities that must also be able to adapt to the challenges and complexity in teaching. The study of system design teaching uses Hevner's information systems research framework which includes the steps of constructing artifacts in the form of constructs, models, methods, instances and evaluation of artifacts using case study in informatics engineering lecture. The use of the framework is intended to support business strategies and processes in study programs and to ensure the relevance of research. The result of research is a model and evaluation of the model. First, this research will produce a system design teaching model that can be used as a reference in the informatics engineering study program to produce graduates with good literacy, skills using the stages of system design, understanding user needs and system design capabilities. The representatives of student associations at Private University are entrusted with the responsibility of empowering, facilitating, and nurturing the growth of the students, lecturers, and alumni within their respective programs. If the elected representatives do not align with the general consensus, problems are bound to arise. Therefore, student participation during the annual voting period is of utmost importance. When voting participation is low, the risk of the majority voice not being heard increases. Data from the General Election Commission in the private university reveals that among the four student associations in the Tech and IT Faculty, three of them have a participation rate lower than 50%.This research aims to develop an E-Voting system for Student Associations within the university, with the intention of replacing the currently utilized Google Form system and enhancing student participation in future voting periods. While constructing an electronic voting system, the security and confidentiality of participants are vital. The Paillier homomorphic encryption algorithm is employed in the system to encrypt and decrypt voting messages sent by voters, ensuring their confidentiality. This algorithm was chosen due to its relative recency, speed, and relevance to this research in comparison to other algorithms. A user acceptance test conducted using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) has demonstrated that the application has been successfully developed, with user assessments of 87.50% for perceived ease of use, 72.27% for perceived usefulness, 74.74% for behavioral intention, and 86.46% for actual usage. © 2023 IEEE.

In Indonesia, mental health awareness is not as prominent as physical health, and many adolescents have experienced mental health problems. Some people hide their mental and emotional problems by appearing cheerful and peaceful, but research shows that body language and voice tone can reveal a person's inner psychological state. Similarly, handwriting can be analyzed through graphology to reveal personality traits such as honesty, emotional stability, and fears. Graphology is a time-consuming and expensive process, using image processing and machine learning, graphology can be done quickly without human bias. This research aims to predict the personality traits by implement image processing combined with machine learning to analyze handwriting features. Using lazy learner algorithm of K-Nearest Neighbor algorithm, SVM and Naïve Bayes, the application can predict the MBTI personality from handwriting image with an accuracy of 94%, 78%, and 93% respectively. From the experiment, it is shown that the application able to do the analysis of one's handwriting and then predict the personality traits, fully automated using a computer © 2023 IEEE.

The COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 led to a significant increase in internet use, a trend that persisted post-pandemic due to hybrid work models and digital advancements. In Indonesia, where the digital economy is projected to reach USD 110 billion by 2025, reliable internet service is vital for the burgeoning digital economy. Sentiment analysis on user reviews provides critical insights into customer satisfaction and areas for improvement, directly benefiting ISPs by guiding service enhancements. This study employed sentiment analysis on the MyIndiHome app which was developed by Indonesia's leading ISP, IndiHome. MyIndiHome reviews from the Google Play Store can be utilized to assess user satisfaction. By utilizing Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory (Bi-LSTM) and Bidirectional Gated Recurrent Unit (Bi-GRU) models, the research classified the sentiment of these reviews into positive or negative categories. The models' performance was compared to identify the most effective approach for this task. The study aimed to recommend the best model for sentiment analysis, aiding in enhancing ISP services and supporting Indonesia's digital growth. We found that Bi-GRU was the best of both models, offering better performance with 95.87% accuracy on testing data and also came with faster training time. With this high accuracy, Bi-GRU could be reliably used to conduct sentiment analysis on MylndiHome reviews. © 2024 IEEE.

Oil content estimation in palm fruits is a precious property that significantly impacts oil palm production,starting from the upstream and *** content can be used to monitor the progress of the oil palm fresh fruit bunch(FFB)and be applied to identify product *** on the near-infrared(NIR)signals,this study proposes an empirical mode decomposition(EMD)technique to decompose signals and predict the oil content of palm ***,350 palm fruits with Tenera varieties(Elaeis guineensis ***),at various ages of maturity,were harvested from the Cikabayan Oil Palm Plantation(IPB University,Indonesia).Second,each sample was sent directly to the laboratory for NIR signal measurements and oil content ***,the EMD analysis and arti-ficial neural network(ANN)were employed to correlate the NIR signals and oil ***,a robust EMD-ANN model is generated by optimizing the lowest possible *** on performance evaluation,the proposed technique can predict oil content with a coefficient of determination(R2)of 0.933±0.015 and a root mean squared error(RMSE)of 1.446±*** results demonstrate that the model has a good predictive capacity and has the potential to predict the oil content of palm fruits directly,without neither solvents nor reagents,which makes it environmentally ***,the proposed technique has a promising potential to be applied in the oil palm *** like this will lead to the effective and efficient management of oil palm production.

Interface design evaluation is part of human-computer interaction. The focus of this research is to carry out a heuristic evaluation on the interface design of an online learning application, namely Microsoft Teams, to determine the extent to which the application meets the usability concept of interface design. Microsoft Teams is an application that is the choice of many universities in Indonesia to provide online learning. Microsoft Teams can be accessed by students, course lecturers and Digital Learning Subdivision units (the team that manages e-leaning). This research uses a heuristic evaluation method which includes several usability principles such as Jacob Nielsen's ten principles of usability. To facilitate evaluation of the user interface, this research combines heuristic checklists and severity ratings. Severity ratings are associated with problems that arise and have varying levels of seriousness. There are 5 (five) value categories in severity ratings, starting from 0 (cosmetic), which means there is no problem, up to 4 (critical), which means it is very important to fix the problem and is a top priority. This research involving 7 evaluators consisting of IT admins and lecturers who will carry out assessments by filling in a heuristic checklist. The stages of research activities carried out include 6 stages consisting of: preparation, problem formulation, method selection, evaluation using the hueristic evaluation method, discussion of results and preparation of recommendations for improvement. The results obtained were that there were 109 problems in ten heuristic principles, most of which were in the minor category and needed to be corrected in the principles of system status visibility, user control and freedom principles, error prevention principles, and assistance and documentation principles in Microsoft Teams. © 2024 IEEE.
