The village head is the leader of the village in Indonesia. The village head is the leader of the village government. The tenure of the village head is six years, and can be extended for another one term is expected to run the government with a good performance in providing services to the community. So if the government officials at the village level show good performance in organizing the government. The Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) method can help decision making in determining the performance index of the village head. This research is conduct by looking for the performance of positive and negative ideal solutions. Applications with the highest V value will occupy the top size in this system. Then the criteria for determining the performance index of the head of the village are timeliness, discipline, responsibility, leadership, presence, value. The results of the decision-making system resulted in 6 alternatives suggested performance indexes of village heads, with the highest score of Sendang Agung Village. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

At present, the smartphone is equipped with several sensors such as Accelerometer, Gravity sensor, and Gyroscope which can be used to recognize human physical activities such as walking upstair and walking downstairs etc. Machine learning is needed to group data and get information. Statistical methods have poor performance in classifying because procedures must be met. To overcome this, an ensemble technique was used. This study proposes the application of the gradientboost ensemble method to classify walking upstair and walking downstairs. The *** system is designed for data retrieval using a smartphone. Then, the dataset will be partitioned into 70% training data and 30% test data. The results show that the performance of the ensemble boosting method produces 81.82% accuracy, 86.11% sensitivity and 77.50% specificity. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Fruit cultivation is very promising for farmers. But there are problems faced by farmers, namely the lack of understanding of farmers with natural conditions that can affect crop yields. So with the selection of plants that are not appropriate, it does not get satisfactory results. Various types of fruit crops can be cultivated by farmers, such as oranges, guava, rambutan, watermelon, avocado, and so on. But it should be noted, that in the cultivation is expected to be cultivated plants in accordance with natural circumstances. This Designing created application to help determine the cultivation of fruit crops. In determining the cultivation of fruit crops in accordance with the criteria using the Technique Method for Others Reference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) as a tool to facilitate decision-making process with several criteria of comparison, namely: temperature, sunlight, rainfall and humidity, height, harvest, selling power, susceptibility to disease, and care levels. This application is made based on the web by using PHP as a programming language and MySQL as the data storage. The use of decision support system application of the cultivation of these fruit crops can provide an output or alternative in accordance with the natural state of the area. And helps in making decisions to determine which fruits are suitable for cultivating for users based on selected criteria. © The Authors, published by EDP Sciences, 2018.

One of graduation requirements at university is completing undergraduate thesis. At Industrial Engineering Universitas Ahmad Dahlan, undergraduate thesis titles are documented by thesis coordinator. The problem is that students are less knowledgeable on thesis topics, so they do not really know the previous students' thesis topics. Based on the problem, this research aims at developing a program to classify thesis title so the knowledge on the trend of thesis title topic can be got The method used in this research was K-Means clustering, while range measurement method used was cosine similarity. The testing used Silhouette Coefficient method. The phases from text mining were tokenizing, filtering, stemming, similarity, classifying, testing. The result of this research is a program that can process the title data into trend group pattern of thesis title *** 138 data obtained, there are three clusters arranged based on the field on Industrial Engineering study program. Silhouette Coefficient testing shows score of 0.5674 that shows the clustering result is classified low. It occurs since the textual data of the thesis title is too widely distributed, so the title has relatively low similarity score © 2018 IEEE.

Every year, the availability of public IPv4 addresses is running low. However, the IETF (Internet Engineering Task Force) has set a new addressing standard called IPv6 (Internet Protocol version 6). IPv6 implementations can not be immediately performed on all end-to-end lines, a transition phase is required, one of which is the GRE tunneling method. IPv6 has some differences with IPv4, then in line with the presence of IPv6 will required the protocol that compatible with IPv6, among which is the routing protocol. Some dynamic routing protocols are created to support and can run on IPv6 such as RIPng and OSPFv3. Aim of this study is examines OSPFv3 routing protocols and RIPng routing protocols in terms of Quality of Service (QoS). The test is done by using seven routers with three scenarios in each routing protocol, ie scenario with best path active condition, when the network changes in other words best path down, and the scenario with best path condition has changed and the network has returned to normal. Testing is done by testing QoS parameters (delay, packet loss, and throughput) when the client computer downloads files with *** extension from the server. Downloaded files have different sizes, from 100 Mega Byte to 1 Giga Byte. From the results obtained that OSPFv3 provides better QoS (delay, packet loss, and throughput) than RIPng on integrated IPv6 network using GRE tunnel and can be a reference when going to transition from IPv4 to IPv6 using GRE Tunnel. © The Authors, published by EDP Sciences, 2018.

Decision support system is a way to help decision maker to choose the best decision from several available alternatives. In the process of decision support system required criteria and weights to be used in the calculation process. Simple additive weighting (SAW) and Weigthed product (WP) are methods in decision support systems that have a search method taking into account the weights held by the criteria. comparison analysis is performed to look at between the WP and SAW methods, methods that have a higher level of accuracy and are in accordance with the conditions. The SAW method uses a weighted weaning system whereas the WP method uses multiplication in calculating the attribute rating. From the weight of each criteria there will be used in the calculation to produce several alternatives. The object of the case study in this study is the determination of people's business credit in the banking world using seven criteria. the criteria used are personal character, credit status, business condition, income, guarantee, guarantee condition and installment. Results of testing using SAW method and WP method, it can help compare the best alternative level results by using the same data and criteria, so both methods can be used as consideration in decision making. WP method gives clear cost and benefit value compared to SAW, but in SAW result gives more clear result because it is based on predetermined value and weight. © The Authors, published by EDP Sciences, 2018.

This study aims to develop a web-based expert system that can identify cassava disease using Case-Based Reasoning Method and Shafer Dempster Method, and to know the performance comparison of both based on the accuracy of identification. Case-Based Reasoning (CBR) is a computer-generated system that uses old knowledge to solve new problems. CBR provides solutions to new cases by looking at the oldest cases that are closest to new cases. The identification process is done by entering new cases containing the symptoms to be identified into the system, then perform the process of calculating the value of similarity between the new case and the base case using the nearest neighbor method. Dempster Shafer based on two ideas is the idea of obtaining degrees of confidence of subjective possibilities and the rule of dempster safer itself to combine degrees of confidence based on the evidence obtained. This expert system is built using PHP programming language and MySQL data base. The output of the system is the percentage of identification result of both methods. Testing and analysis results show that Case-Based Reasoning provides better identification accuracy than Dempster Shafer. © The Authors, published by EDP Sciences, 2018.

Javanese characters is a priceless cultural heritage. The form of the characters and the art of making it become a legacy that deserves to be preserved. The difficulty that is often experienced by the community is in terms of remembering the form, pronunciation, and errors in placing Javanese characters pairs and the lack of available references. Coupled with the elimination of curricula regarding regional languages at the SMA / SMK level. This encourages writers to conduct research and build mobile learning applications for Java characters learning. With the aim of producing a Mobile Learning application that can Assist learning and writing Javanese characters to be more interactive so as to motivate the community to learn Javanese *** use of the Gesture API technology that functions when the user starts touching the screen and performs the movements that have been determined by the system and understood by the system itself. The steps taken are analyzing the problem regarding the making of this Java characters mobile learning application through observation, interviews and literature studies to be further identified to obtain data from the general public. Then do the system needs analysis, user needs analysis, while the results will be tested using Black Box and Post study analysis to determine the extent of the usability system to the problems in the communityThe results of the application built in the form of the introduction of Javanese characters with a gesture board, Javanese characters pronunciation in the form of audio visual and Javanese characters quiz writing so that it was more effective and interactive. With the results of testing the black box test, the application built has been running according to its use and function and based on post study testing obtained the average rating of respondents with the results stated that community categories are acceptable, acceptable and acceptable students. © 2018 IEEE.

The digital era describes the presence of technology where everyone can exchange information so quickly by the internet. For an institution, a website has its own benefits, among others, as a media for promotion, presenting information, and providing online services. This study aims to evaluate and improve website performance by analyzing the quality of the Sebelas Maret University selection of new student admissions (SPMB) website by utilizing a combination of WebQual 4.0 and Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) methods. In its analysis, WebQual method looks at 3 main dimensions: Usability Quality, Information Quality, and Service Interaction Quality. This research, which involved students in UNS, found that the website's gap analysis still has a negative value on all attributes and there are several attributes that require improvement related to website design, presentation of detailed and up-to-date information and navigation on the website. The results from this study are expected could be used as evaluation for the SPMB website's development to meet user expectation.

Optical character recognition and long short-term memory neural network approach for book classification by librarians

The book is classified by librarians that use Decimal Dewey Classification (DDS) System. It is used for cataloging and indexing books. DDC has three divisions, a ten, a hundred, and a thousand. The book subject is reflected in each division. Commonly, to know the book content, librarians read the book title. Then, they identify the book index in DDC system. Nevertheless, it requires more time. To read the book title, Optical Character Recognition (OCR) aids them to get the book title efficiently that convert the image of the book cover into the text-editable. Librarians use a web camera to scan the book cover, especially the book title area. There are three steps for pre-processing, the lowercase changing, the useless word removing, and tokenizing. To detect the book categories, Long Short-Term Memory Neural Network is good implemented in this research. It is almost used for text classification. In this research, It gives high performance that achieves more than 92% accurately.
