Identification of coffee beans types is a process carried out in determining the category of civet and robusta coffee. The selection of civet coffee manually by the community in determining the variety of coffee beans. Manual selection makes the process slow. There is no certainty whether the selected coffee stated original civet coffee or a mixture with Robusta coffee. It needs to be built a system in identifying the types of coffee beans. In this study, the classification technology used for the selection process of Civet and Robusta coffee beans. This research uses first-order feature extraction with the Support-Vector Machines (SVM) algorithm, which aims to recognize civet and robusta coffee beans' patterns using texture analysis on grayscale images and feature extraction. In the study, the authors used the Rapid Application Development approach to build the selection system. The data used in this study were 120 images, consisting of 110 training data and 10 test data. The accuracy in identifying the types of coffee beans by using this method is 87.27%.

Load Balancing is very well applied to the distribution of internet access at any point of the Wi-Fi area so that the use of limited devices can be optimal and on target. The proper use of the Greedy Algorithms when applied to an access point device is very capable in resolving excessive loading in a single resource to take the best choice at every stage in an optimum process. Access point device is also a success factor in running the optimization of the distribution of Wi-Fi access on the Access Point is strongly influenced by the parameters set. In this research, user access factor in one very high Wi-Fi area also influences the possibility of incoming access failure. For the application of the results of this study can be utilized on all access point devices that have limits, but for speed internet access remains at the capacity provided bandwidth. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Cancer is viewed as the most harmful disease in the world. One of the most deadly cancer diseases attacking the women is breast cancer. In this paper, used Naïve Bayes classifier Kernel Density Estimation in breast cancer Wisconsin dataset take from UCI data repository. Naïve Bayes with Kernel Density Estimation was used as it could enable the Naïve Bayes to process the quantitative data. However, the performance of KDE (kernel density estimation) highly depends upon the size of the bandwidth parameter used to control the curve. The problem an accurate choice of parameter bandwidth (h) using trial and error technique requires a long process. A large bandwidth (h) will over-smooth the density and mask the structure in the data, a small bandwidth (h) will yield a density estimate that is spiky and very hard to interpret. The aim of this research is to compare the optimization of grid search parameter with the genetic algorithm to determine the bandwidth parameter (h) on the Naïve Bayes Kernel Density Estimator algorithm. The parameters used to compare the two optimization methods included accuracy, AUC (Area under Curve), and computation time. The experiment results on the test of the significance value on the comparison of grid search and algorithm in determination of the bandwidth parameter (h) naïve Bayes kernel density used Mann-Whitney Test. The result of the significance ranking showed that mean rank of the genetic algorithm accuracy was 489.95 better than the mean value of the rank of grid search accuracy at only 189.05, mean rank of AUC genetic algorithm was 491.82 better than mean rank of AUC grid search only at 187.18. The mean rank of computation time grid search was 243.37 faster than mean rank of computation time genetic algorithm at 435.63.

The occurrence of landslides in the hills of Walahir, Kidang Pananjung village, Cililin subdistrict. Bandung in May 2004 needed attention and research so that the causes of the landslide could be identified. This landslide took many lives and property, heaped around 5 hectares of rice fields and residents' villages below and claimed 15 lives. Based on geotechnical investigations, the slip plane is at a depth of 4 meters from the ground surface and the area of the landslide ranges from 30,000 m2 leaving weathered rock beneath. Is the opening of agricultural land and fields followed by the use of chemical fertilizers is one of the causes of landslides? This study aims to determine the effect of a single chemical fertilizer (Urea, Za, SP36) and compound (Green Giant NPK, MKP) on the soil under conditions of optimum water content and water saturation or soaked which are carried out at the Chemical Laboratory of the Department of Energy and Mineral Resources of Bandung and Mechanics Laboratory Bandung Institute of Technology. Research on the influence of chemical fertilizers which is carried out using percentages of 1%, 2% and 3% with a relatively short ripening time intends to analyze the extent to which chemical fertilizers have an effect. Research is limited to the identification of minerals and chemical elements of original soil, soil physis properties, Atterberg boundaries, soil index properties, soil classification, soil elastic modulus. Hypothesis; The chemical content of fertilizers in the soil causes changes in soil characteristics. The method of taking original soil is by drilling original soil around the area where landslide disaster occurred at the same height as the height of the landslide slope, soil samples taken from depths of 1 meter and 3 meters from the surface of the land or the base layer between soil and rocks based on ASTM D-1452, 1587, 1586. Background Apolipoprotein E4 (APOE4) has toxic effects on the cerebrovascular system, neuronal function, and functional connectivity of brain networks (e.g., default-mode, frontal-attention, and salience networks). The thalamus, a vital structure that acts as a relay station between many networks, has become of interest in AD research with studies showing atrophy among those with early AD and diminished cortical-thalamic connections among those with vascular impairment. Additionally, CSF soluble platelet-derived growth factor receptor-β (sPDGFRβ), a marker of blood-brain barrier breakdown, has been associated with AD risk, especially in APOE4 carriers. The present study investigated the relationship between CSF sPDGFRβ and functional connectivity in APOE4 carriers and non-carriers. Method One hundred sixty-six older adults from the Los Angeles area were selected from a larger cohort (96 females, mean age±SD = 67.4±10.7, 68 APOE4 carriers) based on availability of rsfMRI data. Image data was processed using CONN-toolbox v19c. Grey matter was parcellated using Harvard/Oxford brain atlas, excluding cerebellum. ROI-to-ROI analyses were conducted selecting the thalamus as seed region averaging mean connectivity between the left and right structure of other parcellated brain regions. Linear regression models evaluated significant associations between blood oxygen level-dependent (BOLD) and network connectivity among seed-target regions and CSF sPDGFRβvalues, while covarying for age and sex. Comparison of averaged functional connectivity values between seed and all target regions among APOE4 carriers and non-carriers was also examined. Result Higher functional connectivity between the thalamus and resting state network hub regions were associated with higher CSF sPDGFRβ (Fig 1A, 1C). The Coupled Model Inter-comparison Project Phase 5 (CMIP5) is the output of many coupled atmosphere-ocean of global climate models (GCMs) and widely used for climate research, especially for driving regional climate model. There are more than 40 CMIP5 GCMs data available, but no single model can be considered as the best for every region. The use of CMIP5 GCMs data for rainfall projection in Indonesia is important to improve the accuracy of the monthly and seasonal rainfall forecast. Then, this study evaluates the capability of the CMIP5 GCMs data for Indonesia region by quantitatively comparing the spatial pattern of the precipitation mean and standard deviation of the CMIP5 data against GPCP, GPCC, and CRU data in the period 1980-2005. Furthermore, the composite analysis is conducted to observe the model performance in reproducing the precipitation characteristic over some areas in Indonesia. In conclusion, the models NorESM1-M, NorESM1-ME, GFDL-ESM2M, CSIRO-MK3-6-0 perform the rainfall mean better than others, while the standard deviation of the rainfall show that the models NorESM1-M, BNU-ESM, CMCC-CMS are superior in which NorESM1-M gives the best performance. The annual precipitation pattern of the model NorESM1-M over various areas in Indonesia is also highly correlated with the observations. Thus, the most suitable model for Indonesia region is NorESM1-M. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Technology disruption had boost every sector to adapt and to adjust an infrastructure and system according to the specific needs and business process which can improve an effective operation for the decision making processes and reporting systems within the workflow, social capability, data integrity, and open standard frameworks. Current administration process for capturing cross-border (traveler) in terrestrial immigration posts are used a conventional or handwriting;-passport information is collected on arrival or departure immigration cards or use of ' Pas Lintas Batas' (PLB) special cards for the inhabitant was living alongside both countries border. It is quite difficult to organize cross-border cards for the archiving, filing system, retrieve data, and recapitulate numbers of cross borders for reporting purposes such as individual activities per cities and aims, daily, weekly, and monthly reports. The research will use waterfall with subprojects method within the mentioned modern framework. The aim of this research is to produce an effective and secure information system application prototype for immigration authorities, especially for terrestrial border control system. © 2018 IEEE.

Technology always have the potential to disruptive the society, especially electronics since this technology follows Moore Laws. Electric vehicle is predicted to change how individuals are going to do their daily commute. Electric motor cycle is an answer to eco-friendly transportation, economical in the operation and will be more affordable in the future for the people. One of the main component for this vehicle is the 3 phase motor controller. Three phase electric motor has an advantage of being light weight, low cost and more compact compare with dc motors with a comparable power. The design is featuring a regenerative braking system which brings back the mechanical energy back to the system on braking time hence a significant advantage to increase energy efficiency, since a major power lost is happening during braking on conventional vehicle. The design on purpose is using 100-125 cc equivalent of gasoline engine since this engine has the most market in Indonesia. Which is about 10 to 15 KW 3 phase AC motor.

Computer Laboratory of the University of Technology Sumbawa still does not have a Data Center, in the process of learning and teaching experiencing several obstacles one of which is the difficulty in sharing files between computers. The research objective is to build a Data Center at the Computer Laboratory of the University of Technology Sumbawa with the aim of facilitating practicum participants in sharing files between computer system devices. The method used in this research is the network development method Prepare, Plan, design, Implement, Operate, Optimize (PPDIOO). The results of NAS tests on different devices give results that are file access connections via wireless and LAN can run well and by producing Data Centers at the Computer Laboratory of the University of Technology Sumbawa can facilitate the process of storing cheap and efficient data.

Data Mining is a method that is often needed in large-scale data processing, so data mining has important access to the fields of life including industry, finance, weather, science and technology. In data mining techniques there are methods that can be used, namely classification, clustering, regression, variable selection, and market basket analysis. Illiteracy is one of the factors that hinder the quality of human resources. One of the fundamental things that must be fulfilled to improve the quality of human resources is the eradication of illiteracy among the community. The purpose of this research is to determine the clustering of illiterate communities. The results of the study are illiterate data clustering according to the age proportion of 15+, namely 1 node of the high group, the low group has 23 nodes, and the medium group of 10 nodes.
