This research aims to help the user monitor their heart’s condition and notify other people in case of an emergency due to an abnormal heartbeat (normal heartbeat around 60-100 beats per minute). From the heart rate graph, the user could do a consultation with an expert in the nearest hospital using a map feature that will show the nearest hospital with a 1 KM radius from the user’s current location. The heart is undeniably an essential part of the human body system. The heart's missions are to pump blood to the lungs to expel the waste carbon dioxide that resulted from the respiration and pump blood that will deliver oxygen throughout the human body's circulation system. While the blood that carries oxygen being pumped throughout the human body, the heart will provide the oxygen to all cells. Body cells need to use oxygen to get the energy from food through a process called cellular respiration. Monitoring our heartbeat and pulse rate can increase people’s awareness about their heart’s health, motivating, and encouraging people to maintain a healthy eating plan and exercise. This research will be implemented ECG Sensor. The sensor will then send the data to the android application via HC-06 Bluetooth module. Monitoring the heart rate and analyzing the user’s heartbeat will be done in the android with a microcontroller device's help.

The studies of bioethanol production are being intensively explored over the past years in the provision of biofuel. This has been long recognized as the best alternative for a renewable energy resource to overcome the problem of the depletion of fossil resources. Indonesia's main agricultural sector, sugarcane industry, has shown promise in supplying sugarcane bagasse (SCB) as a feedstock for the second generation of bioethanol production. In this study, the techno-economic analysis of the sugarcane bagasse from the bioethanol production plant was explored, and the viability of bioethanol production based on the biomass generated from a local sugarcane factory was evaluated. All the costs that will be incurred during a 20-year operating period for a 203 ktons bioethanol production plant from SCB is $231 million, with a payback period of 6.19 years. The potential amount of bioethanol produced from SCB of this plant is 30.19 ML/year with the production cost (levelized cost of bioethanol, LCOB) of $0.59 per liter of ethanol produced. Overall, SCB bioethanol still carries better competitiveness at lower selling price in comparison with the latest price regulation by the Indonesian government ($0.85/L). © 2023, The Authors. The student should be a master for science comprehension concepts, especially in material styles found in everyday life. The research aims to know influence approaching Contextual Teaching and Learning on the improve ability to comprehend the science concept. The experiment was carried out for 3 weeks involving 50 grade V elementary school students based on equal ability levels. pre-test and post-test refers to the falling motion material of an object due to gravitational force, how to enlarge and minimize friction force, as well as factors that influence the magnetic breakthrough force. As for each meeting an observation was carried out on 50 elementary school students conducted by the observer. The results of this test are processed and analyzed further using a t-test. The result showed that there is a significant difference between the ability of understanding concept students of experimental class using Contextual Teaching and Learning with control class students using direct learning method with pre-test post-test ≤ 0,05. Other than that the T test and N-gain of both classes showed the result of 0.000. That is approach Contextual Teaching and Learning influencing to improve understanding ability students' concept science learning method in elementary school. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

The application of technology in the world of education can affect the quality of students in understanding learning material because technology is one of the important elements to assist in the teaching and learning process. One educational application that can be developed is Augmented Reality (AR) technology. AR is one of the learning media that can be used to combine virtual objects or objects into a real environment with the virtual world to be able to interact in realtime. English is a foreign language that must be mastered. In learning English, students need to be given adequate vocabulary learning that can be provided through reading or listening activities. The importance of adequate vocabulary in English to support the smoothness of oral communication, where there are 2 things that inhibit the ineffectiveness of oral communication namely students do not have adequate vocabulary mastery and do not know how to use vocabulary in their spoken language. Effective and interactive learning media will facilitate students in learning vocabulary. This research an instructional media based on augmented reality vocabulary cards will be made for learning English vocabulary. Learning English vocabulary developed is a basic vocabulary consisting of object recognition and greeting. The learning media will display real objects and sounds, so that the object looks real and the ease of pronunciation of English consonants correctly.

Annotated data for semantic role labeling of crisis events in Indonesian Tweets

Social media platforms like Twitter provide essential real-time information about crisis events. Although the text data generated is rich, its vast volume and unstructured format make manual analysis challenging. information extraction technologies such as Semantic Role Labeling (SRL) are needed to identify a sentence's semantic roles, such as who is the victim, what happened, when and where the event occurred, and what objects are affected in the crisis text to speed up and facilitate the emergency response process. However, the availability of public SRL datasets, especially for Indonesian, still considered a low-resource language, is very limited. We aim to develop an Indonesian-language SRL dataset based on Twitter text focusing on crisis events. This dataset includes entity labels for Named Entity Recognition (NER), another information extraction technique besides SRL. Text data was obtained through a crawling process on Twitter using specific keywords from 2018–2023, then preprocessed to obtain clean and relevant data for crisis events in Indonesia. The cleaned text data was then manually annotated by two experts based on guidelines designed to maintain consistency, resulting in 99,206 tokens labeled with SRL and NER. The high inter-annotator agreement value (Cohen's Kappa >0.90) indicates reliable data quality. This dataset is designed to support the development of automated models for information extraction, such as SRL and NER. The results of this extraction will be used for disaster impact analysis, mapping affected areas, and planning for crisis mitigation. By providing this dataset, the research opens up new opportunities for developing Natural Language Processing (NLP) in Indonesian, especially in crisis event analysis.

This study presents a new method for assessing bacterial leaf blight (BLB) in paddy fields using multispectral UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) data through patch fragmentation analysis. Unlike traditional pixel-based methods, which often fail to capture the spatial context, our approach treats pixels as objects and analyzes their spatial relationships to evaluate BLB severity. We used six patch fragmentation metrics derived from binarized vegetation indices to classify BLB damage scores using a random forest algorithm. This method achieves high accuracy (AUC of 0.938) with a 0.5-meter sampling window, offering a more detailed assessment than conventional pixel-based analysis. This study highlights the benefits of incorporating the spatial context and improving BLB monitoring and management. This innovative approach allows agricultural stakeholders to gain valuable insights into the extent and severity of BLB disease infestation, enabling targeted intervention strategies for disease management and mitigation. © 2024, The Authors. Quiescent galaxies are predominantly observed in local galaxy clusters. However, the fraction of quiescent galaxies in high-redshift clusters significantly varies among different clusters. In this study, we present the results of an analysis of the star formation properties of z ∼ 0.87 clusters and groups from a cosmological hydrodynamical simulation Horizon Run 5. We investigate the correlation between the quiescent galaxy fraction (QF) of these model clusters/groups and their various internal or external properties. We find that halo mass is one of the most important characteristics as higher-mass clusters and groups have higher QFs. We also find that other properties such as stellar-mass ratio and FoF fraction, measures the proportion of the area around a cluster occupied by dense structures, may mildly affect the QFs of clusters and groups. This may indicate that the evolutionary history as well as the large-scale environment of clusters and groups also play a certain role in determining the star formation status of high-redshift galaxy clusters and groups. © 2024, CC BY-NC-ND.

Handwriting prediction using the support vector machine method in web-based applications

Current technological advances have progressively encouraged individuals to use web-based applications. To determine the owner of a handwriting, one of the manual methods is generally done by people. And it can be done by a web application to find out the person’s handwriting. The Support Vector Machine (SVM) Method is a strategy of artificial intelligence used to recognize handwriting. This study intends to create a handwriting recognition framework using the Support Vector Machine (SVM) Method on a web-based application, with extraction features that are important as the basis for describing and characterizing handwritten images. The results obtained from predictions using the Support Vector Machine are by using 16 data and there are 80 tests carried out in total. The results obtained indicate that there are 25 incorrect prediction tests and 55 correct prediction tests so that the level of accuracy obtained is 68.75%.

This study aims to know the comparison design of electric motorcycle using hybrid systems (BLDC Motor) based on parameter testing, i.e., with and without load. The design of electric motorcycles is centered on determining a feasibility study comparing engine drive with electric drive. Electric vehicles are the answer to decreasing petroleum supplies and environmental concerns that are worsening every year due to oil-fueled cars’ exhaust emissions. The proportion of motor vehicle exhaust as an air pollution source is between 60 and 70 percent. The global decrease of fossil fuels is also a critical issue that has yet to be handled. A descriptive statistic methodology was employed in this work as an analytical tool. The results showed when the speed increases, the efficiency of the BLDC motor would increase; this is, of course, following the principle of Orsted’s law and Lorentz force. When compared to the no-load test, the efficiency by using the load will be greater because when the BLDC motor works with a load, it will require greater torque due to an increase in load so that it takes a large amount of power so that it will increase the efficiency of the BLDC motor. When compared in terms of using the battery, the time of using the battery with no load will be longer because it does not require too much current.

Polarization entanglement holds significant importance for photonic quantum technologies. Recently emerging subwavelength nonlinear quantum light sources, e.g., GaP and LiNbO3 thin films, benefiting from the relaxed phase-matching constraints and volume confinement, has shown intriguing properties, such as high-dimensional hyperentanglement and robust entanglement anti-degradation. Van der Waals (vdW) NbOCl2 crystal, renowned for its superior optical nonlinearities, has emerged as one of ideal candidates for ultrathin quantum light sources [Nature 613, 53 (2023)]. However, polarization-entanglement is inaccessible in NbOCl2 crystal due to its unfavorable nonlinear susceptibility tensor. Here, by leveraging the twist-stacking degree of freedom inherently in vdW systems, we showcase the preparation of tunable polarization entanglement and quantum Bell states. Our work not only provides a new and tunable polarization-entangled vdW photon-pair source, but also introduces a new knob in engineering the entanglement state of quantum light at the nanoscale. © 2024, CC BY-NC-ND.
