The conventional Cohen's distribution can't meet the requirement of additive noises jamming signals high-performance denoising under the condition of low signal-to-noise ratio, it is necessary to integrate the metaplectic transform for non-stationary signal fractional domain time-frequency analysis. In this paper, we embark on blending time-frequency operators and coordinate operator fractionizations to formulate the definition of the joint fractionizations metaplectic Wigner distribution (JFMWD), based on which we integrate the generalized metaplectic convolution to address the unified representation issue of the convolution type of metaplectic Cohen's distribution (CMCD), whose special cases and essential properties are also derived. We blend Wiener filter principle and fractional domain filter mechanism of the metaplectic transform to design the least-squares adaptive filter method in the JFMWD domain, giving birth to the least-squares adaptive filter-based CMCD whose kernel function can be adjusted with the input signal automatically to achieve the minimum mean-square error (MSE) denoising in Wigner distribution domain. We discuss the optimal symplectic matrices selection strategy of the proposed adaptive CMCD through the minimum MSE minimization modeling and solving. Some examples are also carried out to demonstrate that the proposed filtering method outperforms some state-of-the-arts including the classical Gaussian filter, the Cohen's distribution filtering methods with fixed kernel functions, the classical Wiener filter, the adaptive generalized linear canonical convolution-based filtering method, the adaptive Cohen's distribution filtering method, the adaptive JFMWD-based Cohen's distribution filtering method, and the adaptive generalized metaplectic convolution-based Cohen's distribution filtering method in noise suppression. © 1963-2012 IEEE.

The existing μ-Singular Value Decomposition (μ-SVD) denoising algorithm is capable of extracting gear fault information under strong noise conditions. However, this algorithm is only applicable to two-dimensional real-valued data and lacks a mechanism for implementing Automatic Rank Determination (ARD) in high-dimensional data. In this paper, a Bayesian and Tensor treatment of μ-SVD is employed to enable ARD. To further investigate the impact of the Lagrange multiplier μ on the proposed μ-variational Bayesian (μ-VB) algorithm, we examine its performance from both static and dynamic perspectives. Simulation results demonstrate that the μ-VB algorithm achieves ARD and performs well in noise reduction. Further the μ-VB algorithm performs better in wireless communication and linear image coding across numerical domains, tensor sizes, orthogonal factors, and μ settings. © 2025 Elsevier B.V.

Graph signal processing (GSP) has emerged as a powerful framework for analyzing data on irregular domains. In recent years, many classical techniques in signal processing (SP) have been successfully extended to GSP. Among them, chirp signals play a crucial role in various SP applications. However, graph chirp signals have not been formally defined despite their importance. Here, we define graph chirp signals and establish a comprehensive theoretical framework for their analysis. We propose the graph fractional vertex-frequency energy distribution (GFED), which provides a powerful tool for processing and analyzing graph chirp signals. We introduce the general fractional graph distribution (GFGD), a generalized vertex-frequency distribution, and the reduced interference GFED, which can suppress cross-term interference and enhance signal clarity. Furthermore, we propose a novel method for detecting graph signals through GFED domain filtering, facilitating robust detection and analysis of graph chirp signals in noisy environments. Moreover, this method can be applied to real-world data for denoising more effective than some state-of-the-arts, further demonstrating its practical significance. Copyright © 2025, The Authors. Typically, in the smart city concept, a wireless sensor network contains many power-constrained sensors. The sensors sensed data from the environment and transmitted them towards the base station in a cooperative way. Therefore, an efficient energy consumption strategy leads to extend the lifetime of wireless sensor networks. Furthermore, the clustering structure pattern regulates the data transmission and reduces the total consumed energy. In this paper, we propose a new routing protocol that represents an improvement on Energy Efficient Sleep Awake Aware Sensor Network Routing Protocol (EESAA) called Improved -EESAA (I-EESAA) for heterogeneous wireless sensor networks (WSNs). I-EESAA protocol consists of many algorithms for clustering, cluster head selection, grouping, sensor mode scheduling, and data transmission. The main idea of I-EESAA is the grouping concept that aims to form groups of sensors with the same application type and located in the same communication range. After groups forming, one sensor in each group will still be in active mode while the others enter sleep mode. Simulation results show that the I-EESAA protocol performs better than the DEEC, DEV-DEEC, and EESAA in network lifetime, the first node dies, cluster head selection process, and throughput. Three system models are present to test I-EESAA with different environments. © 2021 IEEE.

The smart city environment includes dozens or even hundreds of various services in various areas of interest to users and aimed at improving the standard of living. These include services related to very sensitive aspects such as health, education, banking, and services that have a secret aspect. Cloud service providers need user data in order to be able to authenticate him in order to be able to access and access the desired service. Therefore, confidentiality, privacy and security are essential conditions for this type of communication. This type of complex and intrusive services leads to the need to provide effective solutions and mechanisms for authentication processes based on digital identity information. The process of building and managing trust between service providers and users needs a system of standards, so this paper provides a framework based on the archived behavior of users and cloud service providers operating within the approved trust circle in a smart environment based on the blockchain and its advantages in reliability, transparency and decentralization, while providing a mathematical model for evaluating and calculating trust standards for all subscribers as a basis for completing the authentication process and accessing services. © 2023 IEEE.

Multi-dimensional (M-D) graph signals represent fundamental data structures in various practical applications, including digital imaging systems, sensor network telemetry, and meteorological observation records. The development of efficient transformation methodologies for processing such M-D graph signals within the linear canonical transform domain continues to present significant challenges. This paper introduces two novel transforms: the two-dimensional graph linear canonical transform based on central discrete dilated Hermite functions (2-D CDDHFs-GLCT) and the two-dimensional graph linear canonical transform based on chirp multiplication-chirp convolution-chirp multiplication decomposition (2-D CM-CC-CM-GLCT). These foundational constructs are extended to the multi-dimensional domain, resulting in M-D CDDHFs-GLCT and M-D CM-CC-CM-GLCT. In terms of computational complexity, additivity and reversibility, M-D CDDHFs-GLCT and M-D CM-CC-CM-GLCT are compared. Theoretical analyses reveal that the M-D CM-CC-CM-GLCT algorithm achieves substantial computational complexity reduction compared to its CDDHFs-based counterpart. Numerical simulations further establish that while maintaining comparable additivity performance, the M-D CM-CC-CM-GLCT exhibits enhanced reversibility characteristics. To validate practical applicability, the proposed M-D GLCT framework is implemented in data compression scenarios. Experimental results demonstrating superior algorithmic efficiency and implementation effectiveness compared to multi-dimensional graph fractional Fourier transform. © 2025 Elsevier Inc.

Centralized systems that require third parties remain opaque and represent a single point of failure. Therefore, in accordance with the requirements of cloud services and identity management mechanisms, it is necessary to move towards more transparent and collaborative methods. That is, all service providers under the same federation deal positively with the issued identity of the user. The distributed format gives good potential for ID management systems and treats everyone with the same level of validity. This paper presents a blockchain-based identity management system for the purpose of creating a federated identity management system that is used by multiple organizations by Taking advantage of decentralization and high transparency in the blockchain. Several vital advantages of blockchain are positive for forming identity management systems characterized by transparency and high security, and privacy. Implementing the proposed system on a private Hyperledger Fabric blockchain network proved effective according to the criteria studied, and there is also great potential for improvement. The practical application of the proposed system proved high quality and promising possibilities in blockchain based identity management. © 2023 IEEE.

Over time, our lives turn to digitization and technology and its multiple applications and uses. The smart city, its technologies and the services provided during it have become a way of life. The idea of smart cities relied on different mechanisms to provide reliable services. One of the important technologies is the blockchain that has proven to be extremely reliable and has a high security level technology. This paper presents a mechanism to explain the application of blockchain technology in smart contracts, how to increase reliability, data security, and many positive benefits as part of the multiple services provided by the smart city environment. This paper also provides important details about this technology and its impact on the overall administrative system of any service provided by smart governments. The paper dealt with an example of how to manage the real estate rental file electronically to explain the advantages of blockchain technology through which we overcome existing problems in this type of contract and service.

In this paper, a distributed model predictive control architecture based on graph theory for integrated large-scale nonlinear process systems is proposed. This architecture is first agglomerated using popular community detection techniques and then organized on account of the relative master–slave relationship according to the ample information of interactions among separate subsystems. Both sequential and iterative distributed nonlinear model predictive coordination forms are considered for the reduction of the communication and computational burden within an acceptable loss of performance. Furthermore, the control performance of the large-scale integrated system could be improved to some extent under the architecture and the communication strategy we propose, whereby a brave exploration is made on the relationship between the control structure and the control performance, ulteriorly obtaining some notable results towards the untapped territory. The effectiveness of the proposed coordination method is evaluated by a standard reactor-separator process system.
