The contract terminations for the provision of maintenance services to the tenants of the managed mall affected our organization’s planning, strategy, operations, and revenue. Being able to predict the contract renewals, prevention and readiness plans can be made. Using the data from the computer-aided facilities management (CAFM) software and the available research papers about customer behaviors; the contract renewal outcomes were predicted. In this paper, the operations data of 47 mall tenants (customers) that operates different types of retails were utilized. The data by performance, satisfaction, asset condition and relationship based on the review of the previous studies were categorized. Binary logistic regression was utilized to test the data. The results showed that communication was the strongest influencer to the customers’ behaviors in service contract renewals more than price, satisfaction, and experience. When we understood how to interpret and use the data from the internet of things (IoT), it helped suppliers not only to predict the renewal outcomes, but also build a strategic customer retention program by using the significant variables identified.

Laser irradiation has been investigated as a method of fabricating atomically-thin crystals from layered two-dimensional (2D) materials with precise thickness control. However, during laser irradiation, inevitable structural changes can occur in the 2D materials due to the high thermal energy, altering their physical and chemical properties and introducing disorder, which has hindered the study and use of the intrinsic properties of atomically-thin materials. In this study, we report a laser thinning method using a new coating material, a layered silica-based nanocomposite (SNC), that preserves the pristine crystal structure of a polymorphic 2D material, MoTe2, down to an atomically thin geometry. The nano-porous coating of layered silica-based nanocomposite (SNC) was robust against thermal heating and behaved as a good thermal-protective and oxygen-resistant material in the laser thinning process. Therefore, the SNC-coated MoTe2 flakes were successfully thinned down to atomically-thin geometry, while preserving their 2H structure. Accordingly, our SNC coating of 2D materials is a promising way to engineer the phase and geometry of polymorphic 2D materials, enabling versatile applications in various optoelectronic, spintronic, and electronic devices. © 2023, The Authors. Forest fires have a significant impact on ecosystems and human life, especially in northern Thailand, where Chiang Mai is severely affected. Traditional methods for detecting forest fires have limitations, so there is a need for advanced simulation models. This research uses Agent-Based Modeling (ABM) to develop a forest fire simulation for Chiang Mai. The methodology involves collecting historical data, performing Multiple Regression Analysis, designing the simulation, and testing it. Data from 1998 to 2021, including temperature, relative humidity, wind speed/direction, burn area, and slope, were collected from various sources. Multiple regression analysis identified wind speed as the most significant factor affecting burn area. The forest fire simulation, designed using ZF Wang's spread model and tested with AnyLogic, showed that wind direction and speed are crucial in fire spread. The simulation accurately predicted high-risk areas, helping in proactive planning and response. This study confirms that wind is a critical factor in forest fire spread, providing a valuable tool for fire districts to improve preparedness and management. Future research should focus on refining the model with localized data and integrating real-time detection to improve its accuracy and applicability.

Paddy is a rice-producing plant as a staple food raw material for most of the population in Indonesia. The rice planting process cannot be separated from pests and diseases that can cause crop failure and impact on rice production stocks. Currently, the process of monitoring the development of rice plants is done conventionally by direct observation by farmers. Meanwhile, in this paper, a classification model and determination of object detection in rice plants infected with pests and diseases is proposed based on leaf color. Leaf classification applies convolution conditional network algorithm with mobilenet as the architecture. The leaf image dataset was taken from public data from *** by involving 4 classes, namely healthy leaf images, brownspot, hispa and leafblast images. In each class the leaf images are grouped into 2 groups, namely 70% training and 30% validation. On the mobilenet backbone, it produces 97% accuracy and 22% loss with the time required for 195s 19s/step in 1 epoch round.

In the event of loss of roadbed on an electric railway line due to typhoon or heavy rain damage caused by abnormal weather, or damage to a subway pole due to an unexpected train derailment, installation of catenary poles for emergency recovery is necessary to restore the electric railways. Conventional emergency catenary poles are made of steel, so they are very heavy, and the length per unit is large, making transportation and installation inconvenient. Also, there is a risk of industrial accidents due to workers' musculoskeletal disorders. In this study, we developed an emergency recovery catenary pole using aluminum, a lightweight material, and researched and developed a slimmer rail fastening device that can also be applied to concrete ballast. The developed product underwent factory testing and reference testing, was assembled and installed on a field test, and then a safety test was performed. The product developed is expected to minimize disruption to train operations and prevent industrial accidents for related workers by safety and quickly restoring electric railways. We propose a path planning and coordination algorithm for the heterogeneous tasks of multiple unmanned ground vehicles in a smart farm. The proposed algorithm considers the priorities of each of the tasks to maximize the productivity of smart farms. The algorithm can solve a scenario in which the robot operations are stopped unnecessarily. The proposed algorithm will be verified in a field evaluation. In this paper, we describe our experimental scenarios and list the performance metrics used in the field experiments. For evaluation, situations in which multiple UGVs are required to be coordinated in a smart farm were assumed as the experimental scenarios. The following performance metrics were used: (1) utilization rate, (2) success rate, (3) number of collisions, and (4) localization errors. The experimental results will be statistically analyzed. We hope that the analysis results will help determine whether the proposed path planning and coordination algorithm is effective when used in smart farms.

In the industrial era 4.0, it has surpassed increasingly complex technological advances in the information system that required a very high infrastructure and facilities and prevented fraud. Counterfeiting is a procedure following an entity, statistics, or documents (observe forged documents) with plans to deceive. Falsification of extensive information certificates is exacerbated by the current economic situation in Indonesia, which is currently occurring due to the widespread epidemic, namely COVID-19. The spread of the COVID-19 outbreak has had a significant impact and changes in all sectors, especially certificate forgery in Indonesia. The imitation of busy certificates is the main focus of this journal, focusing on journal publications combined with Blockchain technology. The sophistication of blockchain technology as authentication is comparing two or more items or additional tests to ensure the accuracy, correctness, or correctness of the information. This method uses qualitative methods with data sources based on case studies in controlled supervision with the basic concept of cryptography as the basis of analysis. From the decisions made, it is hoped that this will minimize the level of forgery of certificates widely measured during the COVID-19 era. © 2022 IEEE.

Sasirangan cloth is one of the traditional cloths owned by Indonesia and is a typical cloth originating from the province of South Kalimantan. This Sasirangan cloth has many motifs and is unique. Sasirangan cloth is also one of the potentials that can attract local and foreign tourists to visit South Kalimantan. However, in recent years, tourist visits to South Kalimantan have decreased due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Then it also has an impact on the delay in the implementation of the Banjarmasin Sasirangan Festival which is usually held annually. The next impact is a decrease in turnover and interest in shopping for Sasirangan cloth, so that employees who work for Sasirangan cloth craftsmen are dismissed and reduce people's income. So the purpose of this study is to report the results of the development of a Virtual Reality Game application called VR-SasiranganKu by integrating the interaction of Non-Player Character (NPC) behavior with the type of narrative in the simulation genre game. VR-SasiranganKu is recommended to introduce and at the same time promote Sasirangan cloth to users, then justify the reaction to knowledge and shopping experience, and evaluate user experience using the UX Honeycomb method. Respondents involved as many as 100 people who are local and national tourists. The results show that the interaction of NPC behavior can provide good direction to users regarding the introduction of Sasirangan cloth by presenting an appropriate interaction design based on the narrative and the theme of the NPC that has been adopted, the results of justification using VR-SasiranganKu can provide knowledge reaction and very good shopping experience, and based on user experience evaluation that VR-SasiranganKu has adopted a very good UX with an average score of 4.91.

Real-time Path Planning Algorithm based on Ridge Detection for Solid-State LiDAR-based Autonomous Agricultural Robot

Autonomous robots driving in agricultural environments need to create accurate routes to prevent damaging farmland. Herein, a real-time path planning algorithm based on ridge detection using the Livox Mid70 LiDAR is proposed. The field has a steep slope between the furrow and the ridge, and we find data corresponding to this slope from the lidar data. Using two Mid70 LiDARs, we collect the left and right slope data and linearly fit the slope data using the RANSAC algorithm. Finally, the driving route is obtained from the average of the two straight lines. To verify the algorithm, the steering angle needed to follow the driving path was calculated, and an autonomous driving test was conducted in the actual field environment: it was observed that the robot drove stably. Additional tests will be conducted in more rugged terrain. © ICROS 2022.

Coupled adsorption-photocatalysis process for the removal of diclofenac using magnetite/reduced graphene oxide nanocomposite

Diclofenac (DCF) is frequently detected in water bodies (ng/L to g/L) as it is not completely removed by conventional wastewater treatment plants. Adsorption and photocatalysis have been studied as promising methods for treating DCF;however, both processes have limitations. Thus, in this study, the removal efficiency of DCF is evaluated using a magnetite/reduced graphene oxide (Fe3O4/RGO) nanocomposite via a coupled adsorption-catalysis process. The Fe3O4/RGO nanocomposite was successfully synthesized using a microwave-assisted solvothermal method and exhibited a bandgap of 2.60 eV. The kinetic data best fitted the Elovich model (R2 = 0.994, χ2 = 0.29), indicating rapid adsorption. The maximum DCF adsorption capacity calculated using the Langmuir model was 80.33 mg/g. An ultraviolet C (UVC) light source and 0.1 g/L of Fe3O4/RGO nanocomposite were the optimum conditions for the removal of DCF (C0 = 30 mM) by a coupled adsorption-photocatalysis process (first-order rate constant (k) = 0.088/min), which was greater than the single adsorption (k = 0.029/min) and pre-adsorption and post-photocatalysis (k = 0.053/min) processes. This indicates that the adsorbed DCF did not hamper the photocatalytic reaction of the Fe3O4/RGO nanocomposite, but rather enhanced the coupled adsorption-photocatalytic reaction. DCF removal efficiency was higher at acidic conditions (pH 4.3–5.0), because high H+ promotes the generation of certain reactive oxygen species (ROS) and increases of electrostatic interaction. The presence of NaCl and CaCl2 (10 mM) did not notably affect the total DCF removal efficiency;however, Ca2+ affected the initial DCF adsorption affinity. Scavenger experiments demonstrated O2∙− and h+ play a key ROS than ·OH to degrade DCF. The acute toxicity of DCF towards Aliivibrio fischeri gradually decreased with increasing treatment time. © 2023 Elsevier Ltd
