We present a new algorithm for the computation of polyhedral positive invariant sets. A set given by its half-spaces is used to yield an optimized positive invariant set w.r.t. a given autonomous system. The algorithm requires the solution of a single semi-definite program followed by a linear program. Extensions to the plant uncertain case, and to a symmetric set case are presented. Two numerical examples demonstrate the algorithm usage and capabilities.

Computational technology is an important thing that needed in the whole of human life. Along with the development of computer technology, there are a significant data created and wait to be processed; we will get more advantages if it well-processed, if not we will see the data explosion, the data is just a useless stack. Research mitigates the other research paper and makes a conclusion and a report by PRISMA method. The development of computer technology will support the development of an organization. Considering any factors in choosing the right and suitable high-performance computer resource due to our organization is a must. The existing high-performance computing forms are Supercomputer, Grid Computing, Cluster Computing, and Cloud Computing. Based on this work, the last form of high-performance computing, Cloud Computing is one of the most used forms thus we mitigate its advantages and disadvantages. Recently, to process this vast data, we must have a high-performance computer and to provide it, this is not a cheap resource.

Bicycle sharing systems (BSS) arise as a proposal to respond to the challenges of urban mobility as a healthy, efficient, and relatively inexpensive mean of transportation. Although these systems are widespread, BSS still present challenges for implementation. In this context, this paper aims to identify the barriers to implementation of this kind of product-service systems (PSS) and to analyze which ones most impacted the failure of two BSS. The main results demonstrate that resistance to change both by users and those involved with the project hinders BSS implementation. Besides involving several actors, the system needs an adequate projection of the demand and costs. Some alternatives are: the integration of stakeholders in the development of the solution and the promotion of policies for the diffusion of sharing systems and education to conscious consumption. The results could be used in future PSS implementations to support overcoming the barriers.

Vascular inflammation regulates endothelial pathophenotypes, particularly in pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). Dysregulated lysosomal activity and cholesterol metabolism activate pathogenic inflammation, but their relevance to PAH is unclear. Nuclear receptor coactivator 7 (NCOA7) deficiency in endothelium produced an oxysterol and bile acid signature through lysosomal dysregulation, promoting endothelial pathophenotypes. This oxysterol signature overlapped with a plasma metabolite signature associated with human PAH mortality. Mice deficient for endothelial Ncoa7 or exposed to an inflammatory bile acid developed worsened PAH. Genetic predisposition to NCOA7 deficiency was driven by single-nucleotide polymorphism rs11154337, which alters endothelial immunoactivation and is associated with human PAH mortality. An NCOA7-activating agent reversed endothelial immunoactivation and rodent PAH. Thus, we established a genetic and metabolic paradigm that links lysosomal biology and oxysterol processes to endothelial inflammation and PAH.

Nowadays, messaging technology in digital data form more often used and not less messages that confidentially wanted. Then it should be modified so that can be understood only by the sender and the intended recipients. All of this system can be realization by using cryptography. LUC algorithms are introduced by Smith and Lennon in 1993. LUC algorithm is an algorithm that based on the use of Lucas sequence (specific arithmetic operations derived from Lucas row) that rarely used to enhance the security of the messages. In this research, LUC algorithm is combined with visual cryptography to process the encryption and the description of a colored image. Four different images were used in the trial here. The performance of the system is assessed using Structural similarity (SSIM) which has an assessment similar to human eye. If the image quality is the same as the original image, then the SSIM value is one. Whereas if the quality of decryption image is very different from the original image then the value of SSIM is zero. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

The study of microalgae is widely developed on a laboratory scale. The large-scale applications of microalgae such as large photo-bioreactors or commercial ponds are not well established due to some obstacles. The high cost of artificial lighting in microalgae cultivation is one of the obstacles. Markedly, the natural sunlight intensity is high every month for a whole year in Indonesia. This natural sunlight may serve as a low-cost lighting source for microalgae cultivation in a tropical country such as Indonesia. However, the basic knowledge of whether the natural sunlight in Indonesia is sufficient or not for microalgae cultivation is poorly understood. This study was performed to investigate whether sunlight in Indonesia, particularly in Yogyakarta, is sufficient or not for microalgae cultivation in the absence of artificial lighting. The sun lighting period data from January 2019 to June 2020 were collected from BMKG (Badan Meteorologi Klimatologi dan Geofisika) website. The sun lighting period data were converted into solar radiation data. The Liliefors test was performed to evaluate the distribution of the solar radiation data. To confirm whether the sun lighting in Yogyakarta is sufficient for microalgae cultivation or not, the parametric statistical test namely single sample T-test was used in this study. The Liliefors test showed that solar radiation in Yogyakarta (January 2019 to June 2020) was normally distributed. The calculated Liliefors value (0.14) was less than Liliefors table value (2.00). The T-test results revealed that the solar radiation in Yogyakarta is equal to or higher than the sufficient solar radiation (reference) for microalgae cultivation (795 kWh/m2). The calculated t value (0.65) was higher than the t table value (-1.74). When taken together, our findings suggest that natural sunlight in Yogyakarta is sufficient as a lighting source for microalgae cultivation.

For measuring the rotation engine vibration signals, the mechanical or acoustical sensors are dif-ficult to get the clean signals from the heavy background noise of the machinery environment. The noise reduction algorithm may anticipate to decrease the background noise without disturbing the unpolluted signal. The spectral subtraction methods for noise attenuation case are reached for many years due to its simple and effectively. In this paper, the proposed algorithm incorporates the multiscale spectral subtraction method (MSS) with voice activity detector (VAD) and sup-ports vector machine (SVM) for removing the background noise, since SVM can be required for distinguishing a multivariate signal into separated subcomponents. From the analysis case for the rotating machinery, MSS shows that the low frequency with their harmonics frequencies can be tracked through the clustering of the data from SVM. The present method is helpful in background noise and signal compartmentalization as its application can significantly lower the requirement for labelled training cases in both the inductive noise and wanted signals.

Berkah Mart is one of the new minimarkets in Pekanbaru city which began to develop as a retail business to meet the needs of the community. In his operation, Berkah Mart still uses the traditional store management perception that the placement of product layout on sale shelves has not been through sales analysis. Existing products have not been reviewed from the consumer's point of view, whereas the marketing economics concept provides a variety of product and consumer management methods for business management in Berkah Mart, including market bucket analysis techniques and various itemset search algorithms. In this research, Market Basket Basket Analysis with FP-Growth algorithm is proposed to determine the layout and planning of goods availability. The application of FP-Growth algorithm proved to be useful in generating many and informative association rules to find out the consumer spending pattern at Berkah Mart in Pekanbaru. Moreover, from the rules of the customer association can be segmented separately to meet the specific needs of customers with cost-effective by using some special promotions for the general group. The experimental results show that FP-Growth algorithm can analyze quickly and efficiently informing consumer shopping pattern at Berkah Mart and can increase Berkah Mart revenue. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Modeling complex systems plays a significant role in decision supports for stochastic processes such as the transportation system. Furthermore, the transportation system in an urban university setting poses additional challenges due to the dynamic nature of the user groups (mainly students) as many factors including the living arrangements and class schedules of the students influence the demands for on-campus transportation. In this research initiative, a university shuttle system was simulated using discrete event simulation modeling to understand the systems dynamics, identify system bottlenecks, and recommend improvement strategies. Specifically, the passenger waiting times as well as the shuttle bus utilization were analyzed at each bus stop. After modeling and validating the current transportation system scenario, a hypothetical scenario of diverting buses from one route to another was investigated and quantitative comparison was made.

Linking science with action affords a prime opportunity to leverage greater societal impact from research and increase the use of evidence in decision-making. Success in these areas depends, critically, upon processes of producing and mobilizing knowledge, as well as supporting and making decisions. For decades, scholars have idealized and described these social processes in different ways, resulting in numerous assumptions that now variously guide engagement at the interface of science and society. We systematically catalog these assumptions based on prior research on the science-policy interface and further distill them into a set of 26 claims. We then elicit expert perspectives (n=16) about these claims to assess the extent to which they are accurate or merit further examination. Out of this process, we construct a research agenda to motivate future scientific research on actionable knowledge, prioritizing areas that experts identified as critical gaps in understanding of the science-society interface. The resulting agenda focuses on how to define success, support intermediaries, build trust, and evaluate the importance of consensus and its alternatives – all in the diverse contexts of science-society-decision-making interactions. We further raise questions about the centrality of knowledge in these interactions, discussing how a governance lens might be generative of efforts to support more equitable processes and outcomes. We offer these suggestions with hopes of furthering the science of actionable knowledge as a transdisciplinary area of inquiry. © 2022, The Authors. All rights reserved.
