This article proposes a new multi-level inverter (MLI) based on flying capacitor inverter (FCI), with focused on high-precision positioning control for a voice coil motor (VCM). Multi-level inverters (MLIs) have the characteristic that increasing the number of output voltage levels reduces the output voltage error. However, as the number of levels increases, the number of circuit elements increases, and the circuit becomes more complex. In addition, the output voltage amplitude for each level is constant in conventional inverters. As a result, such as high-precision positioning control of VCM, designing an appropriate inverter for a reference wave that contains a large amount of low-voltage components increases the number of circuit elements. Therefore, this paper proposes a MLI with two unbalanced dc-input voltages, referred to as unbalanced MLIs (UMLIs) hereinafter. This topology uses two different dc-input voltages, and it is possible to reduce the output voltage level in extremely low-voltage range compared to other voltage levels. Simulation results when the high-precision positioning control of the VCM confirm that the proposed UMLIs improves the control performance compared to the conventional FCIs with equal number of output voltage levels and uniform level widths. © 2025 IEEE.

Recently, the diffusion-based generative paradigm has achieved impressive general image generation capabilities with text prompts due to its accurate distribution modeling and stable training process. However, generating diverse remote sensing (RS) images that are tremendously different from general images in terms of scale and perspective remains a formidable challenge due to the lack of a comprehensive remote sensing image generation dataset with various modalities, ground sample distances (GSD), and scenes. In this paper, we propose a Multi-modal, MultiGSD, Multi-scene Remote Sensing (MMM-RS) dataset and benchmark for text-to-image generation in diverse remote sensing scenarios. Specifically, we first collect nine publicly available RS datasets and conduct standardization for all samples. To bridge RS images to textual semantic information, we utilize a large-scale pretrained vision-language model to automatically output text prompts and perform hand-crafted rectification, resulting in information-rich text-image pairs (including multi-modal images). In particular, we design some methods to obtain the images with different GSD and various environments (e.g., low-light, foggy) in a single sample. With extensive manual screening and refining annotations, we ultimately obtain a MMM-RS dataset that comprises approximately 2.1 million text-image pairs. Extensive experimental results verify that our proposed MMM-RS dataset allows off-the-shelf diffusion models to generate diverse RS images across various modalities, scenes, weather conditions, and GSD. Umm al Qura University is one of the largest universities in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia, having more than one hundred thousand students. The university is situated in a suburb area of Makkah city;around 10 km away from the residential areas, and because of its geographic location, most of the people who are either students, professors, staff, workers, or even visitors enter the university compound daily for different purposes;like studying, teaching, working or perhaps just for a tour, and they all get into the university using vehicles. So, because of the vast area of the university which embeds tens of faculty buildings, scientific and technical research centers, and many other facilities, many students and visitors cannot reach their desired locations at an appropriate time. The problem gets doubled in the first few days of the university startup, and that's because of freshmen students' enrollment. To solve this problem, an online navigation system is built to help people find their destinations quickly. The platform acts as an outdoor kind of navigation system that shows the routes for buildings based on the user's search input or selection, then relatively the system will show the exact vehicle routes to the predefined appropriate parking lot, with a pedestrian path stretching to the destination and some statistical information about the buildings along with some panoramic photos of the classes are shown on the right side of the map. © 2022 IEEE.

Federated Learning (FL) has emerged as a promising approach for preserving data privacy in recommendation systems by training models locally. Recently, Graph Neural Networks (GNN) have gained popularity in recommendation tasks due to their ability to capture high-order interactions between users and items. However, privacy concerns prevent the global sharing of the entire user-item graph. To address this limitation, some methods create pseudo-interacted items or users in the graph to compensate for missing information for each client. Unfortunately, these methods introduce random noise and raise privacy concerns. In this paper, we propose FedRKG, a novel federated recommendation system, where a global knowledge graph (KG) is constructed and maintained on the server using publicly available item information, enabling higher-order user-item interactions. On the client side, a relation-aware GNN model leverages diverse KG relationships. To protect local interaction items and obscure gradients, we employ pseudo-labeling and Local Differential Privacy (LDP). Extensive experiments conducted on three real-world datasets demonstrate the competitive performance of our approach compared to centralized algorithms while ensuring privacy preservation. Moreover, FedRKG achieves an average accuracy improvement of 4% compared to existing federated learning baselines. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd 2024.

Agriculture is the study and practice of raising plants and animals for human consumption. Approximately 60.45% of India's land is devoted to farming, making it the country's second largest economic sector. Agriculture and the related agro-industrial sector are crucial to India's economy. Soil components (such as nitrogen-phosphorus &potassium), crop rotation, soil-moisture, air and soil-temperatures, rainfall, and other environmental factors all play important roles in successful farming. One piece of current evidence in this area is a technique that utilizes machine-learning (ML) strategies like Random-Forest (RF), Decision-Tree (DT), and ANN to pick the best crop. In this study, we employ deep learning approaches to improve the suggested model, and together with crop prediction, we obtain clear information regarding the quantities of soil attributes requisite, along with their individual costs. It's more precise than the current model. By analyzing the data provided, it aids farmers in making informed business decisions. Predicting a proper yield requires thinking about the land's climate and soil. The goal is to introduce a Python-based system that makes use of strategic thinking to anticipate the most productive harvest under specific conditions while keeping costs to a minimum. While LSTM &RNN are employed as deep-learning((DL)-strategies in this work, SVM is used as the ML-strategy. © 2024 IEEE.

A Cognitive radio is the mobile communication technologies which help to utilize the efficient need of radio spectrum origin. The performance of CRN is significantly impacted by the spectrum sensing function. The problem of bandwidth has risen as a more specific one with breakthroughs in remote communications. By forgiving unlicensed users to usage the available spectrum in primary networks is the solution to the CR Technology. An innovative method for enhancing the electromagnetic spectrum's use efficiency, cognitive radio is a encouraging technology. Spectrum sensing has high spectral resolution capabilities and aids in the detection of the spectrum holes. The various methodologies are used to enhance the spectrum sensing essence. These techniques are distinguished by a sensing threshold, which is crucial to the performance of the sensing. The most important element in selecting the best threshold to optimize spectrum sensing performance is the dynamic threshold in the proposed system's spectrum detection algorithm. The energy earned from the licensed user over a precise time of observation, then the dynamic threshold is commutated between two levels. The estimation of the noise ambiguity factor forms the basis for threshold evaluations. These criteria are used to hike the likelihood of detection and contraction the possibility of false alarms. © 2023 IEEE.

Maintaining high-quality service supply and sustainability in modern cloud computing is essential to ensuring optimal system performance and energy efficiency. A novel approach is introduced in this study to decrease a system.s overall delay and energy consumption by utilising a deep reinforcement learning(DRL)model to predict and allocate incoming workloads flexibly. The proposed methodology integrates workload prediction utilising long short-term memory(LSTM)networks with efficient load-balancing techniques led by deep Q-learning and Actor-Critic algorithms. By continuously analysing current and historical data,the model can efficiently allocate resources,prioritizing speed and energy preservation. The experimental findings demonstrate that our load balancing system,which utilises DRL,significantly reduces average response times and energy usage compared to traditional methods. This approach provides a scalable and adaptable strategy for enhancing cloud infrastructure performance. It consistently provides reliable and durable performance across a range of dynamic workloads.

Face recognition (FR) technology has numerous applications in artificial intelligence including biometrics, security,authentication, law enforcement, and surveillance. Deep learning (DL) models, notably convolutional neuralnetworks (CNNs), have shown promising results in the field of FR. However CNNs are easily fooled since theydo not encode position and orientation correlations between features. Hinton et al. envisioned Capsule Networksas a more robust design capable of retaining pose information and spatial correlations to recognize objects morelike the brain does. Lower-level capsules hold 8-dimensional vectors of attributes like position, hue, texture, andso on, which are routed to higher-level capsules via a new routing by agreement algorithm. This provides capsulenetworks with viewpoint invariance, which has previously evaded CNNs. This research presents a FR model basedon capsule networks that was tested using the LFW dataset, COMSATS face dataset, and own acquired photos usingcameras measuring 128 × 128 pixels, 40 × 40 pixels, and 30 × 30 pixels. The trained model outperforms state-ofthe-art algorithms, achieving 95.82% test accuracy and performing well on unseen faces that have been blurred orrotated. Additionally, the suggested model outperformed the recently released approaches on the COMSATS facedataset, achieving a high accuracy of 92.47%. Based on the results of this research as well as previous results, capsulenetworks perform better than deeper CNNs on unobserved altered data because of their special equivarianceproperties.

Road damage detection (RDD) through computer vision and deep learning techniques can ensure the safety of vehicles and humans on the roads. Integrating unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in RDD and infrastructure evaluation (IE) has also emerged as a key enabler, contributing significantly to data acquisition and real-time monitoring of road damages, such as potholes, cracks, and surface anomalies, facilitating proactive maintenance and improved road conditions. These UAVs are low-powered and resource-constrained devices that work autonomously to perform pattern detection and decision making leveraging tiny machine learning (Tiny ML) algorithms. These Tiny ML algorithms are designed to run on edge devices, IoT devices, UAVs, etc. In this study, the RDD2022 data set collected using UAVs and dashboard cameras of vehicles was utilized to train pure and mixed models that exhibit class instance imbalance in certain classes which is addressed by implementing data augmentation as a regularization technique. State-of-the-art two-stage detectors: Faster R-CNN ResNet101 and one-stage detectors: SSD MobileNet V1 FPN, YOLOv5, and Efficientdet D1 are employed. The results indicate that the two-stage detector achieved an impressive mean average precision (mAP) of 88.49% overall and 96.62% for focused classes. Notably, the state-of-the-art Efficientdet D1 approach achieved a competitive mAP of 86.47% overall and 95.12% for focused classes, with significantly lower computational cost. These findings highlight the potential of advanced object detection techniques, particularly Efficientdet D1, to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of RDD systems, thereby improving passenger safety and overall performance. © 2014 IEEE.
