This research introduces the application of an innovative bio-inspired metaheuristic technique, termed the Crow Search Algorithm (CSA), to model a crucial industrial process - hot rolling manufacturing. Inspired by the foraging patterns of crows, the CSA algorithm has demonstrated its prowess in solving diverse optimization challenges. In the context of this study, the CSA algorithm is harnessed to fine-tune the parameters of a simulation model focused on predicting the force exerted during a hot rolling procedure. The proposed model takes into consideration a range of influential factors, including the initial temperature (Ti), width (Ws), carbon equivalent (Ce), gauge (hi), draft (i), and roll diameter (R). The findings underscore the CSA's capability to deliver an exceptional modeling performance characterized by swift convergence and high solution quality. By getting along very well with the proposed model with the CSA algorithm, a robust and efficient avenue to optimize the hot rolling process emerges, with the potential for expansion into other manufacturing domains. The computational and simulation results demonstrated that the proposed approach-based CSA outperformed different meta-heuristic search algorithms, such as the Salp Swarm Algorithm (SSA), Dandelion Optimizer (DO), Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO), Gray Wolf Optimizer (GWO), and Moth-Flame Optimization (MFO), in all test cases. The CSA has achieved the highest coefficient of determination (R2), equal to 0.97244, and the lowest mean squared error (MSE), equal to 1904.97, compared to its opponent algorithms. © 2024 IEEE.

Fault detection(FD) for traction systems is one of the active topics in the railway and academia because it is the initial step for the running reliability and safety of high-speed trains. Heterogeneity of data and complexity of systems have brought new challenges to the traditional FD methods. For addressing these challenges, this paper designs an FD algorithm based on the improved unscented Kalman filter(UKF) with consideration of performance degradation. It is derived by incorporating a degradation process into the state-space *** network topology of traction systems is taken into consideration for improving the performance of state estimation. We first obtain the mixture distribution by the mixture of sigma points in UKF. Then, the Lévy process with jump points is introduced to construct the degradation model. Finally, the moving average interstate standard deviation(MAISD) is designed for detecting *** the proposed methods via a traction systems in a certain type of trains obtains satisfactory results.

It datasets are widely utilized, shared, and repurposed without providing enough context for understanding the decision-making processes that led to their creation. It is necessary to modify system creation and use procedures to handle the concrete effects of how knowledge for model building is envisioned and used in real-world applications as AI systems assume more and more important roles. Documents are created at every phase of the data generation lifecycle to improve communication, aid in decision-making, and highlight the need of careful data work. Data transformation is the core process in migrating database from relational database to NoSQL database such as column-oriented database. However,there is no standard guideline for data transformation from relational database toNoSQL database. A number of schema transformation techniques have been proposed to improve data transformation process and resulted better query processingtime when compared to the relational database query processing time. However,these approaches produced redundant tables in the resulted schema that in turnconsume large unnecessary storage size and produce high query processing timedue to the generated schema with redundant column families in the transformedcolumn-oriented database. In this paper, an efficient data transformation techniquefrom relational database to column-oriented database is proposed. The proposedschema transformation technique is based on the combination of denormalizationapproach, data access pattern and multiple-nested schema. In order to validate theproposed work, the proposed technique is implemented by transforming data fromMySQL database to MongoDB database. A benchmark transformation techniqueis also performed in which the query processing time and the storage size arecompared. Based on the experimental results, the proposed transformation technique showed significant improvement in terms query processing time and storagespace usage due to the reduced number of column families in the column-orienteddatabase.

This research focuses on enhancing the spectral efficiency of 5G networks through the utilization of nonlinear stochastic precoding techniques. The proposed approach aims to mitigate the detrimental effects of channel impairments and noise by employing advanced precoding schemes that exploit the statistical properties of the wireless channel. By incorporating nonlinear precoding algorithms and stochastic optimization methods, the system can dynamically adapt to varying channel conditions, resulting in improved data transmission rates and overall spectral efficiency.
