作者： Leite, MJ Mensh, DR Michael J. Leite:is a Principal Engineer with PRC Inc. a division of Litton Industries. He supports combat system engineering for theater air and missile defense. His other tasks have included the command and control for the AEGIS shipbuilding program systems engineering for the 21st Century Surface Combatant combat system survivability and the development of NATO standardization agreements for naval ordnance. He was previously a Senior Engineer with San Diego Gas & Electric with responsibility for its energy application and lighting programs. Prior to joining SDG&E Mr. Leite was a commissioned officer in the U.S. Navy where he served in operations and engineering assignments. Following active duty he accepted a Naval Reserve commission and has retired with the rank of Captain. His assignments included command operational and engineering tours. Mr. Leite has also served as an expert witness in admiralty and engineering matters. He is a gradate of the University of California Berkeley with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering and also holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration from National University in San Diego. Mr. Leite is a Registered Professional Engineer in the States of California and Minnesota. Mr. Leite is a member of ASNE ASCE MORS the Illuminating Engineering Society and the U.S. Naval institute. Dennis Roy Mensh:is a Senior Engineer with PRC Inc. a division of Litton Industries in Crystal City VA where he supports modeling and simulation tasking for combat systems. He received BS and MS degrees in applied Physics from Lopola College in Baltimore MD and the American University in Washington DC. He has also completed the course work towards a Ph.D. degree in computer science specializing in the fields of Operations Reseurch Anabsis Systems Analysis and Computer Modeling and Simulation. Previously he was employed at the White Oak Laboratory of the Naval Surface Warfare Carter in Silver Spring MD where he worked in the areas of naval sensor and weapon system analysis

This paper defines, develops and examines a set of generic analysis tools that can be applied to Models and Simulations at the systems engineering level of fidelity. The tools examine the performance and effectiveness of Sensors;Weapons;and Battle Management, Command, Control, Communications, computers, and Intelligence ((BMCI)-I-4) systems and equipment. The Measures of Performance (MOPs), Measures of Effectiveness (MOEs) and Measures of Force Effectiveness (MOFEs) were extracted from the Modular Command and Control Structure Paradigm which was developed at the Naval Postgraduate School. The paradigm provides for the development of evaluation criteria (MOPs, MOEs, and MOFEs) in a framework that ensures the traceability of system performance and effectiveness to the system operational requirements as specified in the Operational Requirements Document (ORD). Also, the analysis tools provide insight and valid estimates of numerical measures of the defined system functionality threads, which represent the system's operational requirements as specified in the ORD. The tools are directly transferrable and applicable to test and evaluation exercise events which are conducted in support of the development and acquisition of systems and equipment. Once the levels of system performance have been defined, the Paradigm generates a quantitative database that becomes a useful tool in system tradeoffs and selection. Once the alternative system suites have been defined, the suites can be analyzed in terms of system functionality threads and their corresponding performance capabilities versus cost.

Osteoporosis can be defined as a degenerative disease with reduced bone mass and changes in bone architecture that can lead to bone fragility and the risk of fractures. This abnormality can be indicated by the bone density which in visual can be determined using X-Ray images. However, X-Ray images are susceptible to noise, while in image analysis image contrast affects deep learning abilities. Hence, the CLAHE (Contrast Limited Adaptive Histogram Equalization) algorithm is used as a contrast enhancement technique in X-Ray images. This study aims to build a deep learning model using the CLAHE-enhanced image dataset with the ResNet-50 and ResNet-101 architectures. The model was built using two different datasets, namely the original image dataset and the CLAHE-enhanced image dataset. The result shows that the highest performance is given by the ResNet-101 model using the CLAHE-enhanced image dataset with an accuracy rate of 96%, precision of 95%, specificity of 95%, recall of 97% and an Fl-score of 96%, respectively. By using the CLAHE algorithm, the resulting image has high contrast and looks better at displaying features in the image so as to produce better model performance.

The increasing use of IoT devices on future networks is very helpful for humans in their lives. However, the increase in devices connected to IoT networks also increases the potential for attacks against those networks. Vulnerabilities in Internet of Things (IoT) networks can be exposed at any time. Artificial intelligence can be used to protect the IoT network by being able to detect attacks on the network so that they can be prevented. In this study, network detection was carried out using the Deep Neural Network (DNN) algorithm. The test was carried out using the UNSW Bot-IoT dataset with a comparison of training data of 75% of the overall data. The results obtained show the ability of the algorithm to detect attacks on average with 99.999% accuracy. The validation loss and training loss look very small. In this study, there is a validation loss that still occurs in overfitting, but the difference is very small.

Environmental awareness has recently emerged as one of the most crucial topics. As a result, various groups advocate for these technologies and research ways to promote their usage in various contexts. This study examines the factors influencing the intention and use of green technology among academics. This study integrates Price Value (PV) and Consideration of future consequence (CFC) to Theory Planned Behavior (TPB) as a theoretical basis. Two hundred five valid replies were gathered and processed through statistical analysis. The results of this study partly support the developed hypotheses. Four hypotheses developed from TPB have presented significant relationships. However, PV and CFC were not. The findings indicate that individuals in this study did not consider CFC or PV of green IT products as critical factors in their decision-making process. Findings also suggest that for implementation success, competent parties must consider the campaign to increase individual awareness and provide financial support regarding environmental policy.

A theoretical model for describing the emission spectra of microsphere cavities is presented, and its predictions of detailed lineshapes of emission spectra associated with whispering gallery modes (WGMs) of various orders in ZnO microspheres (MSs) are verified experimentally by photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy. The interplay of Purcell effect, quality factor, and leaky modes in spontaneous and stimulated emission spectra related to WGMs of all orders is revealed. The key success of the theory is based on the expansion of the full Green function of the MS in terms of all possible resonance modes in complex frequency space, which allows incorporation of contributions from leaky modes, stimulated emission processes, and Purcell effect. We show that the spontaneous emission spectrum calculated according to Mie theory (without Purcell effect) is dominated by the contribution of leaky modes, while the spontaneous and stimulated emission enhanced by Purcell effect are responsible for the main WGM resonance peaks observed experimentally. It is found that the stimulated emission peaks are doubly enhanced by their respective mode quality factor Q: one factor from the Purcell effect and the other factor from the photon number derived from the rate equation. After combining all these effects the theory can provide a quantitative description of fine features of both TE and TM modes (including higher-order modes) observed in the PL spectra of ZnO MSs. Surprisingly, it is found that for ZnO MS with diameter larger than 5 µm, the PL emission spectrum is dominated by higher-order modes. The quantitative understanding of the interplay of these emission mechanisms should prove useful for optimizing the performance of light-emitting devices based on micro resonators. In recent years, the GAA NS Si MOSFET has been explored as a leading technology. However, the intrinsic parameters of GAA NS Si MOSFETs are affected to varying degrees by various fluctuation sources, Statistically independent and identically distributed $(iid)$ assumptions on the aforementioned random variables overestimate the variability of high-frequency characteristics, compared with considering all fluctuation factors simultaneously. Notably, the random nanosized metal grains dominates the variations of voltage gain, cut-off frequency, and 3dB frequency because the random work functions strongly alter the channel surface potential.

Depth Image-Based Rendering (DIBR) is an approach to generate a 3-D image by the original 2-D color image with the corresponding 2-D depth map. Although DIBR is a quite convenient to convert 2D images to 3D ones, there is a disadvantage in DIBR system that it cannot reach real-time processing due to the computing time. Against this, this paper proposes a method which is based on discrete wavelet transform and adaptive edge-oriented smoothing process, to speed up the computing of the system. The proposed method still preserves the original texture and thus the proposed method not only preserves the vertical texture but also reduces at least 60% of the computing time of the DIBR system. © 2018 computer Society of the Republic of China. The integration of Internet of Things (IoT) technologies into modern homes has enhanced safety and comfort, particularly in detecting gas leaks, which pose serious fire hazards. Gas leaks can often be detected by smell, but this method fails when no one is present. Previous research using microcontrollers and sensors to detect gas leaks faced challenges with accuracy due to noise interference. This paper proposes the use of a Kalman filter, developed by Rudolf Emil Kalman in 1960, to improve gas leak detection accuracy by filtering out noise. The system comprises an Arduino Nano, ESP8266 WiFi module, MQ-2 gas sensor, buzzer, and ThingSpeak cloud platform. By applying the Kalman filter, noise and data oscillations are reduced, enhancing detection accuracy. Experimental results show the system effectively detects gas leaks, provides real-time data, and triggers alarms. Future improvements could include additional sensors and features to further increase the system’s reliability and functionality.

The development of information and communication technology at this time has touched all sides of life. Almost no side of human life is not touched by this information technology, which is more synonymous with the world of computerization. No exception also with the computerization that is popular in the corporate environment and government agencies. If in ancient times everything was still done manually. However, at this time all leaders and management have realized the importance of this information technology products that can facilitate them in carrying out the day-to-day corporate functions. Decision Making system of goods purchasing is one of the determinants of the accumulation of goods. If the decision is taken right then stockpiling of goods can be avoided. In this thesis the authors designed a web-based system that helps Management in making the decision of the purchase amount of goods. the system was developed by using Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 and using SQL Server database processing applications.
