Independent mobility is an important feature of an individual's normal life and with the elderly population continually growing, assistive devices such as walkers and canes provide help and guidance to users. Freezing of Gait (FoG) is an episodic phenomenon that is a common symptom of an age-related disease known as Parkinson Disease (PD). This paper is headed toward implementing a detection, diagnosis and correction system for FoG episodes. The proposed cane will generate visual, auditory and tactile cues to help patients overcome this problem, therefore reducing fall risks. In addition, a vibrating calf cuff will be attached to the calf for muscle stimulation. A compatible android phone application is designed to display heart rate measurements of the patient as well as his exact location in case of fall detection. The system is considered to be an electrically safe, portable, comfortable and a low-cost device. The performance of this system is analyzed thoroughly and the accuracy of all methodologies is considered carefully and evaluated. The results have shown no faulty errors and good accuracy and detection percentages. © 2021 IEEE.

The aim of this study is the development of the method of generating and filling the template of ontology for the quality of the concrete software and method of forming the logical conclusion about the sufficiency of information of software requirements specification (SRS) for software quality assessment (by ISO 25010:2011). The first time proposed method of generating and filling the template of ontology for the quality of the concrete software leaves in the relevant ontology only measures, which are available in the SRS for the concrete software. It provides forming the ontology for the quality of the concrete software. The first time developed method of forming the logical conclusion about the sufficiency of the SRS information for software quality assessment provides the conclusion about the sufficiency or insufficiency of the SRS information for software quality assessment by ISO 25010:2011. If the SRS information is insufficient, this method: provides the conclusion for which characteristics and sub-characteristics the information is insufficient; creates the sorted list of missing measures as the recommended priority of their addition in the SRS; evaluates the veracity of software quality assessment based on the available in the SRS measures.

In response to the emerging challenges of providing intelligent dynamic integrated circuit (IC) layout checking, computer vision in IC design and constraint engineering highlights the opportunities of computational intelligence solutions. In this study, vision-based system architecture is integrated with deep transfer learning models to classify metal oxide semiconductor (MOS) transistor cell-level layout error using one-vs-rest (OvR) multilabel classification. Two layout errors, namely missing contact layer and excess structure around the gate, are generated using the developed tool command language (TCL) script that is executed on Synopsys platform. Missing contact layer error is furtherly subcategorized to metal 1 in place and not fully placed, off positioned contact and its combination. Excess structure around the transistor gate is characterized by excess p-type implant (PIMP) and n-type implant (NIMP) with misaligned diffusion (DIFF) and polysilicon (PO) layers. Feature extraction for MOS-level error classification explored on using MobileNetV2 and EfficientNet variants. It was found that EfficientNetB7 best MobileNetV2 and other variants of EfficientNet in predicting IC layout errors based on nine error subcategories. Hamming loss was found to decrease and inference time to increase as the input image size is increased. The deep transfer network EfficientNetB7 has accuracy of 96.889 %, precision of 88.778 %, recall of 97.444 % and F1score of 91.667 in predicting transistor-level layout errors. Overall, the developed approach in predicting MOS transistor cell-level layout error using integrated computer vision and deep learning proved to be accurate and easy to be replicated for further enhancement to provide advanced layout evaluation. © 2020 IEEE.

An article presents an approach for cyberattack detection based on genetic algorithms is presented. The method allows detecting both known and unknown cyberattacks. The method has the heuristic nature and is based on the collected data about the cyberattacks. It makes it possible to give an answer about the cyberattacks' existence in the computer networks and its hosts. Developed attack detection approach consists of training and detection stages. The mechanism of attack detection system is based on the cyberattacks' features gathering from network or hosts, extracting the subset of acquired set and generation the attacks' detection rules. Genetic algorithms are used for the minimization of the feature set, which allows effective using of the system resources for attacks detection. In order to detect the attacks, the proposed technique involves the rule generation. The attacks' features are described by the set of sub-rules. It is suggested to use the feature with the smallest domain for generating the minimal set for rules. It is possible to select the optimal feature after all selected features which were discovered while applying the genetic algorithm. The sub-rule set is used with the aim to reduce false positive rate.

This paper aims to develop a sensor based monitoring and analyzing system for Neuro-Degenerative Disorder patients (NDD);this may consist on SpO2 sensor, Electrophysiological sensors, NIBP, Motion Capture sensors and Eye Monitoring sensor, taking into consideration an acceptable cost for the whole system. Recorded data will be sent to an embedded decision making unit where detection, analysis, classification, prediction and action control will occur. The sensors and the decision making unit will be implemented in a comfortable jacket that doesn't affect the patients' movements and that can be used by several patients with reduced sensor placement alterations. The decision that can be made is creating a stimulus to avoid falling in case of sudden stop while moving, initiating an alarm, sending a notification to a mobile phone application, and/or telemedicine monitoring features. Artificial Neural Networks will be used to classify and predict the abnormal cases where action should be taken, and since the sensors will be continuously recording, it is possible to achieve continuous learning for the ANN as a first phase. Initial models will be defined by testing normal behaviors and some known abnormal behaviors or symptoms related to the electrical activity and other characteristics of the heart, oxygen saturation level, eye activity and body motion. © 2016 IEEE.

Verification of Linux kernel modules and especially device drivers is a critically important task. However, due to the special nature of the kernel operation, it is very challenging to perform runtime analysis of particular kernel modules of interest without adverse influence on the rest of the kernel. Methods and tools for addressing this challenge are the main subject of this paper. The basic method for low-influence runtime analysis of interacting software modules is call interception. Shadow state techniques represent another method. In this paper, we discuss these methods including three different approaches to implement call interception. Conclusions are made about the most suitable ways for runtime analysis of kernel modules. Finally, we present KEDR framework, an extensible runtime analysis system for Linux kernel modules, which deploys these approaches to perform different types of analysis. The system can be used by the developers of kernel modules and, in particular, may be useful for building automated driver verification systems.

Automatic generation and simulation of test programs is known to be the main means for verifying microprocessors. The problem is that test program generators for new designs are often developed from scratch with little reuse of well-tried components. State-of-the-art tools, like Genesys-Pro and RAVEN, meet the challenge by using a model-based approach, where a microprocessor model is separated from a platform-independent generation core. However, there is still a problem. Developing a microprocessor model is rather difficult and usually requires deep knowledge of the inner-core structure and interfaces. In this paper, we describe a concept of a reconfigurable test program generator being customized with the help of architecture specifications and configuration files, which describe parameters of the microprocessor subsystems (pipeline, memory, and others). The suggested approach eases the model development and makes it possible to apply the model-based testing in the early design stages when the microprocessor architecture is frequently modified.

In this paper we describe a method for simulation-based verification of microprocessor units based on cycle-accurate contract specifications. Such specifications describe behavior of a unit in the form of preconditions and postconditions of microoperations. Test sequence generation is based on traversal of FSM constructed automatically from specifications and test coverage definition. We have successfully applied the method to several units of the industrial MIPS64-compatible microprocessor.

The paper deals with the development of the method of activity and the realization of the intelligent agent (IA) for semantic analysis of the natural language software requirements. This IA performs the analysis of the requirements, determines the number and percentage of missing indicators for determining the metrics of complexity and quality of software, displays which indicators are missing for each metric, and also forms the real ontology of the domain "Software engineering" (part "Quality and complexity of software. Metric analysis"). During an experiment, which is conducted with the help of the realized IA, the semantic analysis of requirements for the Internet of Things (IoT)-system was performed. Such analysis provides an increase of the volume and ensures of the sufficiency of metric information in the software requirements, which, in turn, provides an improvement in the quality of the software of IoT-system.
